Ms. Johnnie did a wonderful job of fitting, sewing and steaming my daughters wedding dress. The dress--- with its fitted bodice and flowing, cascading layers of airy, light fabric--was a challenge to manipulate. Ms. Johnnie handled it masterfully.For Emilys rehearsal dinner, Ms. Johnnie created a beautiful clutch purse from my old wedding dress fabric---it was perfect!

I am really surprised by the last review, because I have used Johnny several times and have only had good experiences. She altered a bridesmaid dress I wore, my own wedding dress, and the two bridesmaid dresses my sisters wore in my wedding. She did a beautiful job on all of them. She pulled the bridesmaid dress I wore for my friends wedding in from a size 14 to a tailored size 8 that fit me flawlessly. She truly brought my wedding dress to life the way she worked with me to make it perfect. She pulled all the layers in for a clean comfortable fit, altered the jacket so it no longer sagged under my arm, and designed the bustle for the dress. She offered to keep my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses until the week of the wedding, so she could do a complementary steam press on all of them right before the big day. Her price is always extremely reasonable and she is a pleasure to work with. My mother and I have sewn for years, and we were both impressed with the quality of her work. She did take several weeks to alter my wedding dress, but I gave her my dress several months in advance so we could work everything out and make it perfect well before my wedding.

Ms Johnnie did a wonderful job on my jeans. I was a size 38 in the waist befor I lost weight. My jeans were too big for me until I got them taken in. Ms Johnnie did a perfect job on my pants and I couldnt be more satisfied. I have several more pair of pants that need taken in and I will be taking them to alterations by Johnnie.

This lady is wonderful, kind and very professional. Her rates are very reasonable. Such a gem to find a great seamstress! THANK YOU

DO NOT ENTRUST THIS PLACE WITH ANYTHING!We had a really awful experience with this lady. This business should be ashamed of themselves - charging to fix a dress, keeping it for 2 weeks, and then handing it over 3 days before a bride flies out for her wedding. She completely botched the wedding dress with poor alterations and we are now having to pay a 2nd time for someone to fix everything she did. And because she kept the dress so long, we only have 2 days to get it fixed and having to pay even more for the 2nd person to rush it. What was wrong with the dress you ask? first, it smelled of cigarette smoke, stray threads were left everywhere, she didnt take in the shoulder part like we asked (even though she said she did), there was a brown mark/stain found on the dress. But the biggest issue: she took in the waist wrong and made the entire dress lopsided. Again she had this dress for 2 weeks, why I have no idea because it doesnt seem like she did much to the dress. Not only was the work of poor quality, but her unwillingness to fix the problem is baffling. I called to let her know about the problem and she goes to say that she guarantees her work but only if we bring the dress back to her. Im sorry - but why the hell would I bring it back for you ruin even more! I let her know that due to poor quality of work and lack of speed, we are not comfortable bringing it back to her and we really just wanted a refund - and she hangs up in my face and will now not answer her phone. I called her several times and left messages asking her to call me back so we could resolve this issue in a business like manner - of course I have not heard back from her. This person has ruined a $500 wedding dress that the bride spent forever picking out and was looking forward to wearing at one of her most important moments. And her attitude reflects that she could care less. SHAME ON you Ms. Johnny!

This wonderful women is awesome and so kind . Regardless of the the way this world is these days not only is her work beautiful so is she love this place would highly recommend it
