We are so glad we found Mr. Frankie. My kid has cowlicks galore, and it’s been a big challenge finding someone who can cut his hair well. Mr. Frankie is meticulous and the results are always phenomenal. Everyone in the shop is so welcoming and friendly, too. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

Great haircuts, fast service and friendly staff! Nothing bad I can say about the place. A great barbershop to go to on the weekends that doesnt require you to make an appointment. My husband had an interview scheduled last minute on a Monday and Im happy that they were able to accommodate him so he can look fresh and clean!

Haidar, did a perfect job helping my (14 year old) son have more confidence with his new haircut. Mind y’all my little guy hasn’t had a haircut since BEFORE Covid started. It was long over due. My son wanted a last minute haircut and they closed at 6pm. We walked in around 5:30pmish hoping and wishing they would take us. Haidar gladly asked us to have a seat with a smile on his face. I made an appointment for today, Tuesday, at 10:30 on the previous Friday. Talked to owner and asked if I can make an appt fo the next week. He said anytime would good. I said Monday and he said he was closed on Mondays. I said how about Tuesday at 10:30 am. He said fine.I showed up today at 10:20 for my appt at 10:30. He was still with another customer at 10:45 cutting his hair. During that time another customer arrived for a 10:30 appt. At 10:45, I got up and told him that I had a 10:30 appointment for a hair cut. He looked in his appt book and did not have me scheduled.He forgot to write it down apparently when I made the appt on Friday. He acted like it was my fault. He neither apologized or offer a reduced payment for his disorganization and lack of respect for my time. Even if he had me scheduled and if did not have another 10:30 appt waiting outside, he would not have been able to cut my hair until 10:50 or 11am since he was still cutting some other guys hair.I thought I had found a new barber. His partner cut my hair about a 7 weeks ago and did a good job. I believe in supporting small businesses, but my recent experience has made me decide to go back to my old established barber. This guy does cut hair well and is close to where I live, but apparently is too disorganized and could give a damn about his customers or his customers time.The droll thing about my whole experience is he acted like it was my fault he did not record my appointment last Friday for this Tuesday at 10:30. Unbelievable!

One of the best cuts you can get around UW for a great price. Once I find a barbershop I like, it takes me a while to trust another. A friend recommended Laurelhurst barber shop after I was fed up with the spots on the Ave. I gave it a shot, and the cut was exactly what I wanted. The guy there remembered what he did with me last time and suggested changes, so each time I went it got better. Very personal, and affordable experience with a quality cut.

Not only does he take the time and effort to perfect the haircut, but also pays attention to the fine details and will stop you from leaving until the cut is absolute perfect. Furthermore, the perfect place to go if you know what you want but dont really know either: he will guide to into what will look good based on your physical characteristics and will stop you from making a poor decision. Also, I wanted streaks on both sides of my head, which he also perfected by making them perfectly symmetrical and fresh. Best 5/5 star Ive given in a while.

Been getting cuts by Ferris for past 8 months or so and always very happy with the result. Been going to this place though for past 2.5 years exclusively and have never had a bad experience. Great service, one of the few places that still does a blade/razor neck shave for free.

Just had a very frustrating haircut. Ive never learned the knack of describing haircuts that look best on me, and dont know how to specify which techniques to use, so last time I got a good one that people complimented, I took a bunch of photos from different angles. My barber was very friendly, and spoke about the pride he takes in his haircuts, but failed to actually absorb the details of the photos I showed him, and I ended up with a haircut I dont like thats too short to be fixable. He took direction along the way for the parts I could see, but by the time I realized how short the back was it was too late.
