They had been recommended to me for some previous work on another car and did a great job so I decided to bring my CRV in for an oil change. Ill be bringing it back for the State inspection and some brake work that needs to be done.

They completed the inspections quickly and the mechanic identified some issues with some worn belts and hoses - these were replaced by the next day, and at a very reasonable price. I don’t know where to start with these guys.. I came to Slaytons with a freight delivery of work because I was pointed their direction by a good man/mechanic/friend of mine. Wow, right off the bat they listened attentively to my goal and was on board ready to get my car where I wanted it to be. I popped in when I saw that everything was delivered and they literally stopped what they were doing and gathered around the pallet full of parts to chat with me a bit about the build. Throughout the process they were very informative and also excited as I was about my car. Whether in person, over the phone, or through email, Evan was there to answer any questions I had. These guys are very smart, genuine people and are super knowledgeable about what they love to do. I’ve found an amazing group of people over at Slaytons I feel I can also call friends. Ive been dealing with James Slayton for a good 10 years, ever since he left Kerr Tire and took half their customers with him. Hell tell you exactly what you need and what it will cost, and he will do the job correctly and quickly. Hell be happy to take the time to explain anything that you dont understand. Its rare to find such a good and honest mechanic. Old-school quality service at a fair price, no rip-off tactics.

Outstanding! Provided vital assistance to do a custom repair when my alternator stripped its engine block mounting threads. Many other mechanics would have price gouged me in my vulnerable position, but this is a shop that can be trusted.

James is an honest mechanic and a good man. Hell tell you what you need and why you need it and what hed recommend. There are cheaper mechanics in town, but you get what you pay for.
