From my experience with them as Pep Boys they’re good people. I took my wife’s 2008 Passat in for new brakes because she couldn’t remember if she had ever had them changed and after driving it myself it seemed like it was taking unusual pressure to slow down. Turns out they were still around 50% and I was told it could be just pedal feel from going from a late model car to an older one. He didn’t charge a dime for diagnostic. I’ll be going back once I need brakes.

I went on Sunday just after they opened. I had an oil change. Service was fast. Oil change includes free tire rotation and filter change. I used online $10 coupon. I would recommend them.

I came in after work and Marcus was amazing. They changed my brake pads and rotors the same day. They are life savers with me working in the medical field and needing my car for work. It was my first time going to this Pep Boys location for an oil change appointment. They got me in fast and my wait was minimal. It was bit pricier than what I was originally quoted, but it was worth it.

1300 dollars later. Shop couldnt press them out, new tech didnt know how to,manager said they needed to be replaced, checked lock ring on lower one never removed, snapped off ball joint...

Excellent service. Employees are honest and helpful. Taken two older vehicles there a couple times each. Wouldnt take them anywhere else. Even though Im somewhat knowledgeable about the mechanics of a car, I am a female and I have been treated with nothing but respect and great automotive repair service

They say that they fixed the flat on my work van for free. But when I got back in my van the tire indicator light was still on and when I checked the pressure it was still sitting at 43 pounds which was half what should be. I dont know they may have been busy and missed it.

Highly don’t recommend pep boys not only did I have to pay over 700 for a simple issue I have to pay it again on top of that I payed 50$ for a bs oil change that they only filled half way highly recommend Bolton’s or another business :)

I called with a flat tire right before close (had just gotten off work myself and ran over a nail.) Corey & others working were so understanding & professional. I ended up coming in 7 minutes before close by the time I got there and they were able to repair my tire with complete understanding. I’ve never been more appreciative of a Lubbock business for their last second help & generosity. They really could have turned me away and told me to come back tomorrow at any second, but they took the time to fix me up. Pep Boys is the spot to go for sure. Thank you guys!

Got quoted 2.5 hours for a flat tire repair. Walked into a empty waiting room.Looked over in the garage to see it empty and heavily cluttered. Guy at the register looked high as a kite.Went to a different tire shop that actually had several customers when I walked in and they were able t ok get me rolling in 50min

I called them at 5:30 pm, and I told the guy on the phone that I was a hour outside of Lubbock but would like to make an appointment so I could get my oil changed. He told me I didnt need an appointment, to just come to the store and hed get it done. I get to the shop and they tell me that I have to come in tomorrow. I tried to be proactive to avoid that situation and they still didnt change my oil, even though they said they would. Wonderful customer service yall, thanks a bunch. Found another place that night to change my oil for cheaper.

These guys are amazing! They always go above and beyond for me! They are always so friendly! From oil changes to new tires to even changing out my wiper blades, has all been done successfully! I am super grateful to them!

My family and I moved to Lubbock from Dumas early in July. I use my truck for work traveling all around the country. I began bringing it here for service at the end of the month. I started with an oil change and the staff jumped right on it and I was out in less than 45 minutes. I returned a couple of weeks later and told them the truck needed a tune up. I left the truck while I went out of town with my family and when I returned, the truck was ready to go. When I went to get my truck, the manager, Joaquin, took the time to turn on the truck and explain to me what was done. A few weeks later, my truck needed new tires. I went to the competition and they wanted to charge me nearly $1,000 for a new set of tires. I went back to Pep Boys and I got a set of tires (the exact same style as what the competition quoted) for less than $700, with 65,000 mile warranty and road hazard warranty. Yesterday, I took my truck back because the air conditioner was not cooling enough. I left my truck and about an hour and a half later, Joaquin called me and told me my truck was ready. I drove my truck to Albuquerque and the cab of my truck was really cold set at Normal A/C and on Low Fan. The guys definitely got rid of that A/C issue. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the work that the staff here at Pep Boys have done on my truck. I have an older model truck and being on the road as often as I have been has required all these different repairs and maintenance that I just hadnt had the time to get done. Also, being busy with the move has kept me from getting these repairs done. Im just thankful that the staff here have been so helpful and have made the time to help me with my truck. Another thing that has also given me a great relief is that the cost for these repairs has been very reasonable and affordable. That definitely is a HUGE PLUS...!!!Thanks to the Manager, Joaquin, Marcus, and the rest of the staff. Keep doing what you are doing as far as taking care of the customer needs. Its good to know that there is a good group of guys that I can trust with my vehicle and that will not take advantage of my pocket book. My right rear brake started leaking after I left pepboys but they made it right for me free, and even sent a tow truck ; they are incredible!

Caught red handed. Called them up to get a price on brakes, they quote me a reasonable one. Then I explain that I live out of town and want to pay over the phone so my daughter can come in to get the work done. Price instantly doubles. No thanks.

Not a bad spot. They didnt sell a brand of oil I went for, even though its clearly advertised on their site. However, the store Mgr gave me a discount due to the extended wait time.

This time is not a restaurant :p. We just got out from here. We came with a nail on our tire and we needed at least a patch because we are going out of town and the wait was for hour and a half BUT one of the guys went the EXTRA MILE and patched our tire in about 15 min, I definitely reccomend it

Originally, I was skeptical about taking my car to Pep Boys. I‘m from out of town, it’s a chain, and I drive a hybrid...with all due respect, I was ready to be overcharged along with subpar service; I was beyond wrong. The guys were polite, showed me what was wrong without acting condescending, picked up the part (which you can only buy at the dealership), charged a fair price for parts and labor, and finished up in a timely manner...the work was done correctly, which means the world to me.They even ordered us a Lyft to and from the hotel while my car was being worked on. Thank you guys so much

My experience with Just Brakes has been sensational ! Whenever its time for my oil to be changed, i get emails reminding that its time for my next appointment. They also inform me of other things that might need to be checked. Theyre timing with getting me in & out woks terrific with my schedule on the day i take my vehicle in. I do recommend my family & friends to just Brakes to receive the service i really appreciate. Been here twice so far for flat repair and oil change, both times I had an excellent experience. Of the shops in town, this one is by far the best Ive been to and I will definitely be coming back in the future.

For the past year that I have used Just Brakes, my experience has always been excellent. The guys at the counter are always friendly and they work hard to get me in and out as quick as they can. I appreciate all the hard work that is done and will continue to take my vehicles to Just Brakes. I also appreciate that they send email reminders and can set up appointments to get an oil change.

I wouldnt use them. This is a place that likes to take advantage of their customers, especially single moms. After a $2000 brake repair job the brakes they repaired went out a few months later. They are charging $1000 more dollars to repair their botched break job and wont let the car be taken to another place to get fixed for cheaper because they towed it from the near accident it was in when their brake job went out. The car that they botched the brake job on is being held hostage by them and they are unwilling to repair their botched job. There are other places in town that do a better job for less money and stand behind their work instead of taking advantage of people.

This place should be put out of business. They are CROOKS! Went in to have them check my back brakes and they so generously gave my entire truck an inspection. They even invited me back to show me the issues my truck had including the immediate need for tie rod end replacement on the drivers side. A grand total estimate of near $900.00. The guy even printed out what all they needed to do and a grand total cost. (not an itemized cost) After reading the estimate line by line, They were showing the cost of having my drums machined as well as new ones. (Double dipping) as it is known. Now lets talk about that tie rod end in further detail. He showed me in the shop that when he grabbed my tire, he could wiggle it like a loose tooth. He also let me know that it was extremely dangerous and needed to be done immediately. (cost of nearly $200.00) I declined ALL repair to my truck due to the cost and the fact that I had doubts and took my truck straight from Just Brakes to another actual mechanic, who lifted my truck and said that my tie rod was in perfect condition. He showed me that there was absolutely no wiggle at all AFTER THE LUG NUTS WERE TIGHTENED!!!! There are sadly unsuspecting people who trust Just Brakes to be honest. Elderly, women, young people as well as folks who just dont know otherwise who get stolen from by these crooks every day. Honestly, they should be shut down. Like now. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!

We were in Lubbock on August 21, 2016 and were about to head back to Houston when we noticed a leak from our 12 year old car! One of the only places open on a Sunday and could take us was Just Brakes. When we got there we initially thought it was our power steering fluid and quickly found out that it was the water pump! If anyone knows anything about water pumps and replacement on a Toyota, then you know you have to take apart the engine to get to it! Not only did the service guys get us in and do the job, they stayed PASSED closing time by at least 3 hours to ensure our car was NOT leaking so that we could make the 8 hour trip back home! We are very thankful that they were able to help us and do the job right. They did not over charge for this service either and were very helpful! Cant thank them enough that our car made it home and did not break down in a cow pasture in the middle of no where! That car will no longer be taking long trips needless to say!R

I am so upset with this place due to the fact the ripped us off and dont now how to put drums back on a truck. They have lied to us and told us that our 3 year old truck needed the full set of drums replaced and the cylinders needed to be replace due to the fact they had busted and that wasnt the case they tried to rip us $700. Then I took the the truck to get some different opinions and we even found out that we paid for higher quality pads for the front and the were also suppose to resurface the rotors and they put low quality and didnt not resurface the rotors. I HIGHLY ADVISE NOT TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM IF YOU DONT WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON CRAPPY PARTS. I ADVISE CHRISTIAN BROTHERS OR FIRESTONE OFF OF 19TH AND THE LOOP

I always have really great service from Just Brakes. They let me know what is going on with my car and what repairs need to be made. One of the service technicians, Marcus, has helped me and my boyfriend with our car repairs and has always been very nice and clear with us. Great!

I went in once a year over a period of 5 years they would tell me my rotors were bad and it would cost several hundred dollars to fix every time. The last time I went in they were offering to turn in a false claim on my behalf. I finally got a second opinion~and they said there was nothing wrong with my rotors or brakes at the second opinion place.

Liars. I went to Pep Boys to get an oil change on my truck. I told the guy at the counter I wanted a full inspection done as this was a used truck I had bought and wanted to know the details of it. He told me they would do it as it was included in the oil change package, once they were done I paid and walked out with paperwork assuming the inspection results were on one of the 3 papers. It wasn’t, I went back in and asked to see the yellow inspection paper that was shown to me that they fill out on every car they touch. It was blank. He told me that was the “mark up” paper and that the real one was in the shop. He went to the shop and came back empty handed giving me an excuse saying the mechanics “visual inspection” said everything was fine. I wanted prooof of that on paper and he stared at me with a blank look. I will never visit another pep boys as this is the type of service you get. I will keep my business at Meineke as they’ve never done me wrong. Thought I would try pep boys but never again

When you call you have to call multiple times. They are open Sunday which is a plus.

Defiantly not Just Brakes anymore! Took care of everything and werent pushy about doing any of it. Showed me what was wrong, suggested repair, and when i took less repair than suggested they said Ok well do that, its your decision! Ready for a fight but theyre easy going!

Good mechanics charge around $100 an hour for labor. These guys are charging more than double! Replacing brake pads is very simple, quick job and should not be $200.

They cut my sister a deal then took like 3 hours to fix the issue. We had hungry and thirsty kids. And a fussy 8 month old. Maybe if we had unleashed my sisters twins in their waiting room, we would have been gone faster. Dude was talking on his cell phone instead of working.

Called for a repair quote. They took my car and contact info and said they would call me right back. Two hours later, I had not heard back. I call them and none of the staff remembered speaking with me or taking my information. (Justin, Marcus, nor Joaquin/spelling?) I explain the request again only to be told they dont even perform the service I was inquiring about. Waste of time and sloppy customer service.

I was reluctant at first to try Just Brakes out because of things I have heard and read but I am glad I did. Patrick, Scott and the guys went above and beyond. I took my car in for a check up because I had grinding brakes and ended up needing new pads and a couple rotors. They had an issue with one of my calipers being over extended so I had to replace it too. I believe them because I was there when they were trying to fix it. Oh did I mention they close at 7 and they stayed open late to work on my car. If I didnt tell them to stop and just finish it the next day I truly believe Patrick and Scott would have stayed until midnight. This is the kind of service I expect and appreciate. If you need anything done to your car go to Just Brakes. They do more than brakes also. I will be a repeat customer!

Check the service they did for you, I did. it took them 1 1/2 to change the oil and to grease all of the parts and guess what THEY DID NOT GREASED THE PARTS AND BILLED ME FOR SOME THING THEY DIDNT DO ALL PARTS ARE DRY AND NO SIGN OF GREASE ON THEM ON TOP OR ON THE BOOT it so easy to check them bad service from pep boy service

OK, 1st off, most of the bad reviews were caused by the previous owners. I have gone here twice for oil changes, once for a 4 wheel brake job and once for a fuel injector cleaning and have been very satisfied with the price, job and customer service techs. Please give the new ownership a chance !!

I booked an appointment for an oil change and was told it would be 21.99 + tax. When I get here and after they start I’m told it gonna be $80!!!! Make sure you double check the price. Otherwise the guys were real friendly.

The guys at just brakes were nothing but amazing. They re-did the rear brake system on my wifes 2010 Ford Focus and make it perfect. They also did the entire braking system on my 2010 Silverado. They did so good and were so nice I went back again to have them install the brake hose extensions for my Silverado because its lifted. I completely recommend these guys. The head guy Joaquin will get you taken care of.

I went for a brake pad change and they screwed in my wheel studs so tight that it was ruined. Before knowing this, I went back to my hometown Honda Dealership and they refused to work on my 09 Accord because of this. I went back with paperwork for Just Brakes to fix them and they did for free.**This was done under a manager that is no longer working thereAt times their mechanics like to overcharge as well. I recommend to Google local car mechanics if you need maintenance and not a big business that may scam you. Trust me you wont be disappointed, just read the reviews and give them a call.Also, Just Brakes has a lot of complaints if you look online. Be sure you research a little before you get scammed.

I went to have my brakes checked (they were fine) and because I had a Groupon for an oil change. Despite their name, I discovered they also did new tires and shocks. I had priced tires at Discount Tires about six months earlier. Their prices and warranty seemed the same as Discount Tires. Since I was there, I went ahead and bought the tires, too. These guys are crooks. They told me I needed to change brakes on all tires, my axles were about to break off and when they did they would destroy my transmission and engine. Several other things to the tune of $3000. Took my car somewhere else and they said everything was fine. 25000 miles later, I still.have my axles, transmission and engine.

This year is my daughters first year at Texas Tech. I recently brought her vehicle to her from Dallas. I was a little hesitant because she nor I know anybody in Lubbock and i feared something might happen to her vehicle and I wouldnt be there to make sure it would be taken care of properly. Well i was WRONG. I made a call to Just Brakes and spoke to the manager Juaquin. Right off the bat, I felt i was talking to family and i knew right then she was in good hands. The problem was fixed the same day. There are still honest mechanics out there that are trustworthy. I will not hesitate to call Juaquin and his awesome group of guys at Just Brakes if i ever need to again. BIG THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS!
