Shane and Christian came out and completed the installation of a gas vented fireplace insert in one day. Project required conversion of our wood burning fireplace to this gas log stove. Shane had to run a gas line and electrical line for this install. Fireplace looks great and works with the touch of a remote. It throws a lot of heat too! The team was professional, efficient, and pleasant to deal with. We are very pleased with our purchase and installation!

The four month wait for an appointment was well worth it. The technician was knowledgeable, willing and able to answer questions, and showed me what he found with suggestions throughout the process. He helped us with other aspects of using the fireplace that we had questions on and took care to look into small things for us which were very helpful! I will be using them again!

We had a chimney inspection and chimney cleaning. I spoke with Amy both on the phone and through email. She was friendly and professional. I spoke with Brandi through email and she was friendly and professional as well. Our scheduling window was 8am - 12pm. Clark called at 8:30am and said he would arriving in about 30 minutes. He arrived at 8:55am. He was careful not to make a mess of the floor (it was a very rainy day)! He made sure to lay a tarp on the floor before walking in and out of the house. My toddler and I played at the kitchen table while Clark worked. He was friendly and quick. He was knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had. He cleaned up. We paid. Then he was on his way. It took about 45 minutes for the whole process.

I have used chimney care before with them putting an heat shield inside my fireplace flu to use safely. They also added beautiful sliding doors. I have gotten many compliments with the new slate covering. I would highly recommend this company and Clark was very professional and welcoming today. Back in 2018 Chimney Care Co. (CCC) helped us recover our chimney in a 115 year old house so that we could enjoy a wood burning stove and weve been delighted ever since. Three companies quoted on the work, but CCC was the only one that suggested we only spend a little to explore the inner part of the chimney before proceeding. They then said, theyd need to remove some brick within our attic to permit them to insert a camera. This cost a little more, but then they were able to give us a thumbs up that could indeed reconstruct part of the chimney, install a flue and insulate it for safe operation. We really wanted to get a Jotul (Scandinavian wood stove) which CCC does not sell, but they were very accommodating and worked with us buying the stove elsewhere and they installed it. CCC worked with our local historical district to comply with their strict rules as well as code enforcement. This was not cheap, but reasonably priced and CCC has been back to sweep our flue, which is required because we burn a fire in our wood stove almost every cold day of the year. Oh, and our dog loves it! Thanks, Jeff, Allan, et al at CCC!

We have used Chimney Care for years for one gas and two wood fireplaces. They closed an old basement fireplace down so the kids could safely play in the basement. They keep our gas and wood fireplaces working year-after-year. They clean the fireplaces at the start of the season and inspect/clean the chimneys. I had requested a chimney sweep and a cleaning of my wood burning stove. Two technicians arrived while I was on a 30 minute work call in the other room and they were gone before I finished the call. They told my wife the chimney did not need cleaning and the stove was too close to the wall so they would need to speak with their boss to determine next steps. Therefore, they did not perform any of the cleaning services which I contacted them for. I received no further communication on the matter and after not hearing from them for several weeks I received a bill for $240 claiming they had performed evaluations of both the fireplace and stove in lieu of actually cleaning them. I never requested an evaluation be performed and at not point in time did they explain to me or my wife that they would be performing such evaluations or how much they would cost.I emailed the company expressing my frustration and received a condescending reply. They ultimately reduced the invoice by roughly half, however I still feel I overpaid after receiving absolutely zero value of their services.Overall extremely poor communication. Would not recommend.

Three Companies, an electrical, an HVAC and fireplace repair, had come to our home to determine why our fireplace would not start. No one had an answer. The kill switch on the vent had to be properly engaged in order for the pilot to ignite the device under the logs and produce the flames. This was the initial site visit. Shane was very nice and my dog enjoyed his company. Im feeling confident and excited about our new fireplace!

Ben called me to say hes on the way to the house. When I got there, he was already on the roof looking down the chimney. He came down to greet me and we talked about the problem a bit, then we went into the basement and the bottom of the flue. He stuck his phone in and took a picture. it looked like two big lumps of mortar about three feet up from the bottom. Ben worked from the bottom using a number of different tools to try to dislodge the mortar. It wouldnt budge. After about an hour, he went to the roof and tried two or three times to knock it down. He didnt know what else to try. I told him he did all he could do and I suggested that I could re-pipe the water heater vent to a different flue. I think he was disappointed, but we cleaned up and loaded his tools back into the truck. It was just an unfortunate turn of events that the clog couldnt be cleared. Ben is a good man, easy to work with and full of good ideas. If I need a flue cleaned in the future, Ill definitely request Ben Ash.

They did a great job and serviced my gas fire place. It was a wet and nasty day, they brought drop cloths so not to dirty my floors. Very impressed and would recommend.

Called with an initial issue of a leaking chimney, provided them with a drone photo of the issue. Even though that provided them with all the detail to determine that I wanted and needed a stainless steel chase cover, they still wanted to come out and collect the $79 inspection fee. When they provided the estimate, the labor is about $219 to install, however, because they will not provide the dimensions of the chase, it is impossible to determine if the pricing is fair and consistent with other estimates. Beware before booking with them on chimney work.Nowhere on their website is their policy on providing the dimensions to the customer.

In the process of renovating my moms house. It was built in 1969. Alan and his assistant were very thorough, took photos, and provided affordable options. They were able to update her chimney needs and place asemi-custom cap. Highly recommend them!

I asked for a quote to have a chimney removed and they quoted me over 2850 dollars. I emailed them back within 20 minutes of the quote asking why it’s so high (a local from home advisor quoted me 500 dollars). I never received a response back, but I did get an email saying I need to pay my invoice a few weeks later (they charge 80 dollars to take a picture of your house). So they definitely had my email and their email even mentions it as a way to contact them.I honestly feel robbed out of money now. I definitely do not feel they completed their due diligence speaking the quote was 2300 dollar over what I ended up paying for the same job. I travel for work so it’s very difficult to call during business hours. Sure I could of, but it’s on their website and it mentions on the emails, that they already sent me, that email is a viable option for them.Moral of the story, get a quote from home advisors first. They care and won’t charge you. Plus you can fairly compare prices without losing 80 dollars for a simple quote.

Chimney Care Co was extremely helpful in our search to replace our Wood Burning Fireplace, with a new gas unit. Amy was very helpful at the showroom in comparing models and prices which were vastly lower than all the other quotes we received for the same work. Shane was able to come on site for an initial review and was very knowledgeable and helpful in determining our setup and helped me with the instructions so I could do a lot of the work myself to prep the space for their installation. Thankfully an opening in their schedule allowed them to come at least a few weeks before initially stated; from initial contact to final install will be about two weeks. Overall, at this point I have had a wonderful experience, and plan to continue to do so.

Shane did a great job identifying all the issues with the gas vent system and explaining things to me. I appreciated that he was diligent and honest, as well as the fact that he provided an alternative solution that might be a better spend of our money in the long run. The detailed notes included with the invoice were also very helpful for me.

Sometime earlier this summer, I shut off the gas to the pilot light in order to save a little money on my gas bill. So in late October I wanted to turn my fireplace back on, but couldnt get the pilot lit for whatever reason. After messing with it for about 30 min. I assumed the line was clogged due to spider webs again. This had happened to me before. Called Chimney Care for an appointment to get it fixed and was told it would be the end of January before they had openings. Oh well, I was willing to wait because I knew that Chimney Care was worth waiting for. Several years ago when I had a an issue I called another local company and they came out and worked on it for awhile and decided there was nothing else they could do. Couldnt fix it. If I wanted a fireplace, Id have to buy a new one. That is when I called Chimney Care. They responded pretty quick and sent Shane to the house. He took things apart and found the lines clogged with spider webs which he said are pretty common if the unit sits for long periods not being used. He got everything working GREAT. So, this time, got a call this past weekend from Chimney Care letting me know there had been a cancelation and they could come out on Monday {yesterday}. i wouldnt have to wait 2 more months. Again, I was very pleased to have Shane show up right on schedule. Once again he fixed my problem quickly and efficiently with no mess. Had 5 courses of bricks replaced. They were on time and very efficient. Fixed some screw holes in the roof while they were working. Did some small extras that needed to be done. The invoice was for $100 less than quoted with a note that the job was easier than expected. Over the years they have rebuilt my gas fire place and did a chimney lining.

Shane was very knowledgeable and took time to explain why cold air may be coming in my fireplace. He took the time to explain how new windows and doors create homes that are more air tight and that changes the air flow dynamics. My new furnace may have created a different air flow pattern. He rearranged my gas logs so they would burn better and not create soot. He checked the outside and recommended some things to help the algae problem there. I was very pleased with the service.

From the bidding process through the cleanup, I felt that the success of the project was the prioty. I was able to ask questions and received clear answers. The set process through cleanup was layer out before things started. When the work was started, tarps protected the roof, Windows and siding. Basic cleanup was done at the end of each day. When I had questions, I was able to get answers on progress or issues. I watched the project progress, the attention to detail, and how the workers protected the rest of the house. All workers completed their jobs in a safe and professional way. I am happy with the end product and how well I was kept up to date.

I am very happy with the job Shane did on my fireplace. Basically, I had Chimney Care Co. fix a terrible job done by another company installing a flu liner. They removed the defective system and completely cleaned my chimney and we now have our beloved fireplace back-without the smoke in the house. While not the cheapest, Chimney Care Company is certainly worth the price. Quality work is absolutely worth paying for.Thanks for a job well done.

The technician, Shane, showed up on time and he was very professional and personable. Shane walk us through his activities explaining what he was looking for and any issues he observed. He was knowledgeable and made us feel secure about our fire logs and fireplaces. He didn’t try to sell us something we didnt need but he did provide his professional opinion if we wanted to change or install inserts. We’re new to the area, we relocated here from Atlanta so all of this is new to us, and will call the Chimney Care Company with any future needs or issues.

We just recently purchased a home that had two non working gas units. After paying $360 for Vonderhaar to tell us that both units were beyond repair, we decided to get a second opinion from Chimney Care. What a great decision! Shane showed up on time and quickly had both units working. The price was very reasonable and he took the time to explain how the units work and answer our questions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
