We were traveling from Oregon to Virginia, moving to our new home when my engine light came on. I have a 2004 F150 and it was running fine but once the light came on we lost power. We called multiple shops and none could get us in and we were crunched for time. We called Steves and Oscar got us on the schedule and was able to get us fixed and back on the road with only a short wait for parts that had to be over nighted. Joel was our tech and they all did a great job at prioritizing us and fixing the problem. The price was fair and the process was excellent. I only wish they were in the town where I am moving. Great people and honest quote. Thank you guys!

Danny was our tech and always does an excellent job. When my husband picked up the car, Shane came out and helped my husband talk through an electrical problem we are still having after a rear-end accident. Stans Auto did not do the repair on this accident as the insurance company required us to go elsewhere. Too bad because now they are going to have to go back in and fix the remaining problem. They were extremely efficient & friendly. They explained everything so well I felt informed and included in the maintenance of my own vehicle. They has a way of telling you what you need to know in a candid manner while offering great service, a mix of solid, honest communication and genuine appreciation for your time and business. We have been coming to Stans since we moved around here. They have worked on all of our vehicles. I have found them to be competent, honest and they stand behind their work. If you need your car serviced they are among the best and they will work with you until the problem is resolved. They are definitely better than the local car dealers service departments.

The gentlemen (And Rio! :-) were all wonderful, especially Shane, who did not charge me for the inspection as this was the 4th time I had taken my car in for the same problem (NOT to Stans! The 4 places were other car shops!) He found the problem & fixed it right away and for a very reasonable fee. I was trying to get the car to pass emissions and Shane went FAR above and took my car down through emissions, saving me the extra headache. I am amazed at the awesome Customer Service & Quality Work they all give down at Stans & I will not take my car anywhere else from here on out.

We came to Stan’s with a 2001 Subaru that proved to be more of a project than intended. There was a misfire in one of the cylinders and it needed a transmission. After many tests it was determined we needed not only a new clutch and transmission but an engine as well. They were more than informative kept us posted whenever I called they were prompt in getting back to us. The shop was knowledgeable and they worked with us in getting the car fixed. I was impressed and thankful to the whole shop for the Subaru saga as while it took six weeks to complete they were more than accommodating as they could possibly be in the middle of a pandemic. Now nearly 7 months later our car is still running great and is amazing! Could not recommend this place enough

This is the first time that we have taken our motorhome to Stans and so far I have been satisfied with their care of our vehicle. They have taken it to another shop for minor body work. I trust their recommendation on that also.

Worst experience Ive ever had at a repair shop. I had issues with diesel fuel injection, fuel leak, and caked oil on bottom of engine. Requested diagnosis and voiced concern that it might not be worth fixing. Manager commented that if it wasnt that I could sign title over to the mechanic which suggestion bothered me. They agreed to clean engine to be able to see where the caked on oil was coming from and to use dye to locate leak if necessary. I told them I had not had to add oil in the last year and suspected that it was from overflow of steering fluid.They did not clean the engine until after technician did diagnosis (and never used dye) until I asked again just before picking up the truck. I was shocked by the $7,800+ repair estimate which was more than the truck was worth.The service manager said they could not find a fuel leak and showed me what he said was oil puddle from the engine requiring front rear, and oil pan seals. We ran the engine and I videoed fuel dripping on the ground (diesel is oily but fairly clear in color) but he would not get down and check it out when I told him it was fuel. I also asked for a print out of detail scan report, but they did not provide it.Bottom line...I did a more thorough engine clean and took it to a repair shop specializing in diesel truck. They found no oil leak from the engine but did note the obvious fuel leak from the water separator valve on the fuel filter ($50 repair) and said the oil caked on the engine was from the fuel leak or the steering fluid overflow. Total for a new fuel injection pump, a new lift pump, new water separator valve, and the diagnosis totaled just over $2,500.Beware of this repair shop.

Car broke down with an absolute laundry list of mechanical failures and Stans (Sheldon and Don were in contact) took care of it in two weeks flat. Runs better than it has in a long time. Shop was very transparent with assessing what needed to be done and got it done. Five stars.

Sheldons team took great care of myself and my vehicle! They were able to diagnose my issues and provide timelines on when they suggest the fixes need to happen. This was refreshing, considering I was given incorrect information from another mechanic I saw a week prior and felt like they were trying to pressure me into fixing the issues immediately. Replaced a leaky water pump and related parts. A great experience from the start. Even being on hold was enjoyable, listening to car maintenance tips from Stan that I hadnt heard of before. They did a great job. While they were in there they replaced the other hoses and belts, etc. that were due for replacement with 152,000 miles on the car. Very satisfied.

Stans has been my go-to shop for service and repairs for several years. I just bought two sets of all season tires from them and was surprised that the price was very competitive with the national chain stores. Definitely a full service shop!

Took my car in for diagnostic of an engine tick. I was told my car needed a timing chain replacement for $4600.00 with no guarantee it would fix the problem which I understand. However before spending that amount of money I got a second opinion and the other mechanic diagnosed the noise from a different source and the fix would be $1200.00. I went with the less expensive option (replacing the rod bearings) since neither were guaranteed. The 2nd mechanic had diagnosed the noise correctly and it was gone. Had I not got a 2nd opinion I would have paid Stans 4600.00 to not fix the issue I brought the car in for. However the people at Stans that I dealt with were very nice and professional.

Stans was quick to retrieve my car and diagnose the problem, the part ( starter) was ordered and arrived the same day, installed, back on the road by evening. Very satisfied, will use them again. Thank you so much!

I was charged over $350 to install a battery wedge and replace a battery terminal. My receipt indicated I could call with negative feedback, but they clearly did not want to hear that they charge too much. They just wanted to justify the high price. Unless you dont mind too much for repairs, I dont recommend Stans.

Their pickup and drop off service of my motor home was extraordinary. I feel very confident in recommending their fine service.

Replaced two deep cycle batteries but didn’t connect the new ones. I was stuck in a snow storm on i80 alone and had to call mobile rv tech and wait 5 hours for him to arrive. When I picked up the rv my glass sugar container was on the floor shattered and sugar everywhere. Red cloth oil rags were left inside the rv

Serviced our motorhome when it running poorly on our cross country trip. They performed oil and filter changes, checked the turbo and safety inspection. Brought it in and work was completed on the same day, despite short notice. They let us stay in their lot overnight so we could get a fresh start the following morning. I took my car in to get my ac checked out since it hasn’t been working for a while. Very kind amd understanding as I had to cancel my appointment twice due to me going back to work and now trying to find the time to get my car in for a day. I took my car in and had both my young boys with me and they had given me the service of driving us back home! I thought that was great since my family was occupied with their own work schedule. Anyways I got the call a few hours later on what the issue was and it very straight forward on what needed to be done and the cost of repairs. I went forward with getting it fixed and it was ready next day!

I have been referred to this place went there because told they were amazing, which they absolutely are; there’s been some issues with my car every single time I’ve come in to try and get an alignment either the tires wires were showing (bought car after it was in an accident) had no idea cause they weren’t at time of purchase so got those fixed and brought back, this last time I went in I now need to fix my inner tie rods and they let me know this and were super nice about it 😊 they didn’t make fun of a poor ridiculous girl who knows nothing about cars LOL and they have been honest and upfront with me and always manage to get me in according to my schedule all gentlemen are super nice and Shane is who I have worked with directly he is awesome especially because I know nothing about cars and is super friendly and the guys seem to all have a good rapport with each other! will definitely never use anybody but them again!

Stans did a nice job of replacing the shocks and steering damper on our RV.I liked the work Stans did on my RV so I had them work on my 1997 Toyota Tacoma that I was having problem with it starting. I had previously had three mechanic including the Toyota dealership try to fix the problem with no success. I myself read numerous articles about the starting problems and tried to fix what was wrong in a variety of was with no success. I bought the Tacoma new in 97 and like the vehicle a lot. I took the truck to Stans and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem. My truck starts right up now. Thank you Stans mechanics. A job well done! Mike

Times have been hard for everybody right now,it feels really nice to be treated with decency and respect,I could not afford the initial price and they were able to adjust to really help me out.

We took our Ford explorer in for diagnostic because nothing was coming out of face vents. They diagnose it and found the problem. Stans gave me a price which I could not afford at the time.My wife picked the car up and paid over a hundred dollars for the diagnostic fee. When she got home we found the underneath of the dash was still disassembled and I had no time to go back. They did apologize for leaving it disassembled and said to bring the vehicle back.I later found someone to fix the part. When he went in to replace with new part he did not find the old one that Stans diagnosed was bad. Stans actually took it and did not put the non working part back or give it to me.On another occasion they said they couldnt flush the transmission fluid because the machine was broken. Told me they changed it manually. The problem is they never did change the fluid.This was very disappointing to see because we have been going to Stans quite awhile because we trusted them. Well that is now gone. Its very difficult to find a trustworthy machanic shop.*** Update *** discussed the issue with Stans and they immediately addressed my concerns. Thank you for fixing this situation and making it right.

We needed an emissions test in order to register our new RV. Stephen was very helpful and friendly. The whole process was completed in a few hours. The service was very professional.

Stans has always been interested in keeping our business. Weve been their customers for over 10 years now. Ive had my share of bad luck with vehicles (one was a 2002 Jetta...need I say more. That thing took me to the bank!). Any issues Ive had have been dealt with promptly and to my deep satisfaction. They are more than fair with us, always explaining what the issue was, how they addressed it, and what we might face in the future. I really like this shop!

Service is good, competent and reliable. Recent customer svc. not up to Stans standards. In for trans-fluid change, differential fluid change, coolant change, and minor leak. Three days it took. Some reasons understandable, but poor communication during the continued delay. No phone calls from Stans. I had to make the inquiries: why so long, when would it be finished? Hope its improved because Stans does good work and people are friendly.

Stans is a very good place for vehicle repair and maintenance. Theyve worked on my motor home in the preventative maintenance and repair areas and theyre always fair, thorough, and inexpensive. They also have been finished when they said they would be, and I find that a rarity in repair shops! They also have their own tow trucks which has com in handy.

I am absolutely THRILLED with Stans Auto Service! I took my Manual Mazda 3 in for a second opinion after taking it to the dealer. They took the time to fully inspect it and send me an incredibly thorough report including pictures fro the mechanic! I have never had another place put that much care and detail into their work. They walked me through each issue with such care and detail. Took the time to explain it to me, someone who knows nothing of cars. I will not be going anywhere else!

Worst professional service I have seen in my 50 years as a car owner! I have been a Stans customer for over 10 years. But this business has changed. I had an appointment for maintenance on my CJ-5. After not hearing a single word for 16 days, I called! The response, I have to be straight up honest with you, we never got to your Jeep. Every excuse in the world: Techs sick, personal issues... They never even looked at it, and did not have the professionalism to even call me to tell me- We really dont want your money! I will never take any vehicle to this business. Do not believe the Good old boy marketing! Poor business.

And was clean and unmolested when it was handed back to me. You have a good well ran business. It was recomended to me and I will recommend it to others.

Wouldnt take an RV/truck/car or anything else with a motor here if my life depended on it. The only thing you want from a service mechanic is honesty, fairness, and an ability to trust that they arent charging you more for repairs that arent necessary. They told me I needed $8k in service for an RV that realistically only needed new tires and a new front brake caliper and then charged $400 for inspection, greasing the leveling jacks, and generator service. Some shops make money because theyre efficient, fair and you know they wont overcharge--Stans Auto isnt that kind of shop.

Brought the vehicle in for diagnosis and repair of ABS and tire pressure warnings. One ABS sensor had failed and fallen out of wheel bearing. Replaced both rear wheel bearings and ABS sensors. Initial quote was higher than final cost so I walked away happy.

As posted in a previous review there was a minor oversight with the repair of my car on my first visit, however, after I posted that review Sheldon the owner of Stans called me and was so amazing and sweet and apologized for any inconvenience. He and Shane made sure that my car was checked out and running great and did some other work at cost to ensure that I was pleased, happy and taken care of. I am very grateful and impressed with their professionalism is reaching out and following up with me. I will only take my car to Stans from now on.

I initially went to Stans Auto Service because the Chevy Dealer in Fort Collins wanted to do thousands of dollars’ worth of repairs with little or no explanation when we went in for an oil change. I went to Stans for a second opinion and was pleasantly surprised. An expensive fix was necessary, but Stans explained it in writing and in detail. They seemed far more knowledgeable about my Chevy Traverse than the dealership that sold it to me. They kept me up to date along the way. I was impressed with the quality of work. Stans also offers a 2-year warranty where dealership only offers a 1-year warranty. I will have my 3 cars serviced at Stans in the future even though I live in Windsor and there are several other options closer to home. I highly recommend Stans Auto Service.

I brought my car to Stans Auto Service because I bought it at auction and immediately realized that something was very wrong with it as I drove it off the lot. I wasnt sure what was going on, so I brought it to Stans, explained what I was experiencing, and left it there. I paid about $4,000 for a new timing belt, power steering pump, a 90,000 mile service, and a few other minor things. My car promptly broke down when I left there, and they encouraged me to come back since they warranty their work. Conveniently enough, my issue wasnt covered by the warranty because none of the parts they replaced were faulty. This was true. The problem all along was a broken rod bearing at the bottom of the engine. Because of poor diagnostics, I blew a lot of money, and I feel like they guessed about what was wrong with my car with MY WALLET. The sales associate I worked with, while kind, was not on top of getting in touch with me throughout my repair process, which kept being delayed. My father had come into the shop with me to make sure that I wasnt taken advantage of, and noticed some things that didnt sit right with him, so he expressed that to the salesman, who asked if he could avoid talking to my dad and just communicate with me directly. Stans email updates are impressive, but that was the only thing positive about my experience. I wasted a ton of money there and would not being my vehicle back to be serviced again.

TJ was very flexible getting my 40 motorhome in to get the coolant flushed and changed, had to postpone a couple times due to weather. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are setup to deal with large RVs and I will return the next time I need service.

Service Manager is wonderful!! My daughter and I were traveling through Colorado on Interstate 25. Our car hit a 5 gallon bucket rolling in our lane. Unsure of the extent of damage, we drove to Stan’s.The service manager came out and personally checked out our car. After a careful inspection of the car and tires, he zip tied a loose wheel well liner. He assured us that everything was fine. He would not take any payment and said he was glad to help. I took my Toyota highlander in for an oil change and was very impressed with the quality of service. They go above and beyond to provide the best possible service. A very detailed inspection of the vehicle was done along with the oil change and they provided a written report of the findings with pictures when needed. Didnt push any repairs (nothing was in urgent need), just educated us on possible future problems on our 9 year old car. They take care of their customers and the vehicles. Very professional and friendly at the same time.

My Toyota Sienna had a check engine light problem. I was told to bring it in the next morning. Several potential issues were carefully considered before the problem was corrected in a cost effective and timely manner. The physical environment was comfortable. David, the Service Advisor, was easy to work with and helpful through the entire process.
