I was looking forward to a salon closer to home. I got a wonderful dip and pedicure. He was careful with my hands and feet as I have two autoimmune diseases and my skin is very thinBut I have thought about writing this review since Monday. I felt salon was not clean. There was dust on top of nail polish, top of lamps and everywhere behind the manicure work area. The equipment he used to clip and push cuticles were not in the sterile bag and made me uneasy. I am wearing a mask again so felt a little protected.Again I am very pleased with the pedicure and dip but feel like the salon needs a good cleaning and equipment sterilized. I am sorry I will not be back

I went in around 5:30 pm on a Thursday 3/18/21. I work an hour away from home and had come here after work. I’m used to getting my nails done, and this was my first set after having my son, so I was looking forward to the pampering. I asked for a full set of acrylic nails with gel polish.Once seated the lady kept trying to push me to get dip over my natural nails. I told her I would just like acrylics. She kept insisting and asking if she could just do it on one nail so I could see what it looked like. Again, it was 5:30 and I live an hour away. I didn’t want her to dip a nail only to have to remove the dip. I already knew what I wanted.I don’t know if she was not good with acrylic, or if she was upset that I didn’t get the dip, but my nails came out horrible. They are crooked. Not coffin shaped like I asked. And after 3 days, it looks like I already need a fill.I hate writing bad reviews, but I feel this deserves it. Other pictures in reviews look gorgeous, which is what led me to coming here in the first place.I will not be back.

Came here from out of town to visit family last week. Searched up nail salons in Middletown and this place came up. Had mixed reviews so I thought I’ll try it out. My pedicure experience was awful. Had the deluxe pedicure but it only took them 15 minutes from start to end. My dip powder did not last. The chair is dirty and the equipment was not sanitized. I do not recommend coming here. I wasted 100 plus tips. Will not come back, not recommend. Go anywhere else!

I’ve been going to Moni for about 5 years now to have my nails done. I make an appointment with her for a return visit every three weeks. She uses the dip powder on my nails and my nails look perfect when I leave. The salon personnel are always professional and friendly. They have a wide selection of colors to use for all their nail services. I will usually have a toe polish change done as well. Moni paints my toes with a matching color of my nail dip powder. I have always left the salon satisfied 🙂

THE WORST MANICURE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! I gave her a picture of what I wanted and my nails look nothing like what I wanted! I got acrylic nails and she left them extremely thick underneath three of my nails. She did not file the side of two of my nails so there was paint and acrylic hanging off the side of them. Do not recommend!!

Everyone is very nice and professional.Moni is who I see for my services. She is always on time and very nice. Her work is perfect every time.

I got my nails done on 6/14 & had a rough experience with a man who said he was able to do nail art (very simple design). He was at first very confident, and as he went on the design looked very very poor and I ended up having to do something else much simpler that I didn’t even really want. Spent at least 3 hours there, after asking him to redo them with simple tips, even those proved challenging to him. Overpayed but was so tired by the end of it that I just left... wishing I could’ve gotten some sort of compensation for the time and poor quality.

The experience is enjoyable and they do a great job every time! Best nail place in the city.

I brought my little girl (4 years old) to get her nails and toes painted. I am heartbroken by the experience. The guy who painted her nails asked her if her dad painted her nails- when she showed discomfort about him asking this- he didn’t stop. When she answered and told him her story- he then proceeded to ask her if she liked mommy or daddy more. He also continuously said he was going to make her pretty. Repeatedly.I highly suggest better socialemotional skills for your employees. A 4 year old (or anyone for that matter)- should not be asked about their family dynamics or pressed for information. It is never okay to make a child choose who she likes “more” between their mother and father- and this should never be brought up- ever. Also, it is not okay to teach a little girl that the reason we go to get a manicure- is to “become pretty”. It’s for fun, to feel good about her nails- that’s it. Please do better.

I love love love these nails!! they are so cute. i got ombré acrylics and i think a woman named Kim did them. she payed so much attention to detail. the only thing is, on their website they say a full set of acrylics is $32+ but at the end i paid $72!!! i understand the price but i wish they told me why they’re upping the price while they were doing it.

10/10 recommend! They take their time, and will let you know what they can and cannot do!

This was my first time visiting this spa, I went with my daughter for a pedi. We had a small wait since she needed a kids chair but it wasn’t bad. Salon was very nice and our toes look great! A little pricey but it’s okay!

Ive been to First Lady Nails several times and never had an issue. However, I went 6/10/21 and was seated in a pedicure chair immediately without water. After sitting for an hour, I get told someone will be with me in two minutes and others had made appointments. Fifteen minutes later someone is finally filling my pedicure station with water. I was never asked what kind of pedicure I would like. They were out of the first color I asked for. The technician was digging into my toes to the point I had to tell her it hurt. My right foot never got a top coat of gel polish (noticed when I got home and had to put a top coat on myself.) During the dip she kept yanking my hands towards her and cut my cuticle because she was so rough. After two and a half hours I was finally finished. It only takes one negative experience for me.

Moni has been taking great care of me for several years. Great pedicures and the best dip manicures. My nails always look great! Thanks, Moni!

They tried to push me to get a manicure. I just wanted gel polish. The woman was so rude who did my nails. She kept asking, why don’t you want a manicure? Well... because I’m on a budget! Then, I asked for 3 different colors and she said they didn’t have them. I felt rushed. Then she did fast work and did not say one word to me. The polish had bumps in it and was not done well. I will never return to this business. I recommend you reconsider as well.

MY FAVORITE NAIL SALON IN THE LOUISVILLE AREA! The staff is so nice and accommodating. I’ve been coming here for about a year and I’ve never had a bad experience. They are clean, quick, and GREAT at special design nails as well! 10/10 recommend.

I’ve been looking for a place that does gel manicure for little girls. My daughter is 8 and she wanted to get her nails done. Well, we finally found a place! And my daughter loves it! Johnny is so funny and did an amazing job. My daughter so so pleased with the results and loves her nails.We will be coming back of course!!!They all really nice people. I love the environment. Very nice clean and pretty place.

I got them done a week ago Tuesday July 6th spent $55 to have them done and have already had to go up there twice to get them fixed and I was just there yesterday and they are continuing to fall off.

I highly recommend First Lady Nails III, especially Moni. I think I have been going to her at least monthly for about a year for pedicures and gel nails. She is very meticulous and wants to be sure you are happy with them. Moni is also very personable and I enjoy my time with her. I make an appt, and am seen at or close to my appt time. They are following covid guidelines and the place is super clean. Try First Lady Nails and ask for Moni!!

The staff were friendly however the quality of service just isnt there. My nails had bubbles so I went back the next day to get them repainted and this is what I got... you could see the layers of paint and she just didnt try. For $32 it is not worth it!Update 5 days after I went here I took my polish off an noticed a few nails were yellow. Then a week later all of my nails were yellow and cracking. I went to the Dr and he said I have a nail fungus, and it had to have been from here. Just stay away! $100 down the drain.

I walked in on a Saturday around 2pm, generally a pretty busy time and everyone who worked there was really nice. They got me in ASAP and did an amazing job, I love how my nails look! I had a gel fill. The price was on par with everywhere else here so no complaints. It was the first time I had normal conversation while getting my nails done (that could just be due to my own social awkwardness lol). The other clientele there were also really respectful and nice to each other. The whole experience was pretty great, and fast which is always appreciated!

I got up and went to the lady who asked us to take a seat. I reminded her that we had an appointment. She told us someone would be with us in 6 minutes. We got up and left. She said she was sorry. I wont go back.

I rarely get my nails done. This place was recommended to my by a friend because I wanted to get my nails done for my wedding. They were fantastic! I went twice, once two weeks ago as a trial and today. Both times, Kim did a fantastic job. I am very pleased with how my nails look and the service I received. She was very nice, professional, and detail oriented. If you are considering going to this nail salon, do it! You won’t regret it.

I hardly leave reviews, but a coworker recommend that I come here for my nails. I came last week on Sunday and it was crowded with a long wait time, so I knew the place had to be great. I got my pedicure done by a very sweet girl, paid and tipped and left. When I got home, I noticed a little smudging and paint off the nail on my skin. I was alittle disappointed but went about my day. Two days later, the fake nail on my big toe started to lift and was barely hanging on. I went back to the store just a few days later politely asking that they redo it. Immediately, I’m being questioned over and over on if I remember who did it. I never got her name, and with all of us in masks it’s hard to tell. They asked me to look at the wall of photos and licenses and point her out but she wasn’t on the wall. I said she looked young, maybe in high school and they laughed and said no one there was that young. I’m sorry I didn’t know who she was, but it doesn’t matter, I just needed someone to fix it. I then had to wait for several minutes for them to fix one nail, while people walking in wanting pedicures with no appointment were being sat immediately. I was really embarrassed and upset but didn’t want to leave because I paid $70 for my gel pedicure with two acrylic big toes and deserved to get what I paid for. Awhile later, one of the coworkers remembered me, even the chair I sat in and immediately knew who did my nails. That had to happen for them to believe me. the girl who did my nails came out from the back and pretended like she didn’t recognize me when the manager asked if she did my nails. I don’t appreciate being lied to and treated like I’m a liar. The girl looked confused and the manager had her redo my nail. What’s crazy is, I wasn’t even upset coming in but the way it was handled was so unprofessional. Why question the employee and scold her in front of me?Why have the same girl redo it? The manager should’ve stepped it to make it right. You guys remember customers all the time. Even nail polish names. But I politely ask that you give me my money’s worth and now you don’t remember me from just a few days ago? I even left her a nice tip but I guess she don’t remember that either, huh? If she had asked for my bank statement I wouldn’t have been surprised and would’ve gladly offered it. When I had my nail redone, the girl spoke to what seemed to be her regular customer next to me the whole time and said that she “would be right back with her. She just needed to quickly fix this nail.” Wow. I won’t be coming back.UPDATE: a week later, the SAME nail is lifting again. I won’t be coming back.

I had an appointment at 1130, nobody waited on me for over 4 hours after they told me they wouldbe with me in just a min. I asked for ombré with diamonds & nobody in the store knew how to do ombré then told me to wait another hour & someone would do it. There was only one guy in the store trying to do everyone’s job, which he was very nice but i guess with having to do everyone’s else’s job he got frustrated... So after 5 hours at the nail salon my nails look like complete garbage & i spent $90 on them. Very disappointed & will not be returning.

I had a gel manicure and pedicure here a few days ago and I hate to say it, but it was the worst experience. The staff was very nice and friendly, but the girl that did my manicure/pedicure did a horrible job. I had to ask her to get the polish off my skin over 10 times and there is still some left after going home. I will never to go back to this nail salon again. It was way more expensive which I wouldn’t have minded paying if they did a good job.

Took my daughter to get her nails done for our daddy/daughter date. Their hours say they’re open until 8pm. We arrived at 7:25pm and were informed that they were already closed. Very disappointed. I didn’t give them a 1 star because they apologized and tried to explain that all of their nail technicians had already gone home. Bad for business to post your hours as open until 8pm but actually close a half hour earlier.

The first time I went in I had no issues except the tech cut my cuticle with the electric file. No big deal though. I came in for a new dip set and was totally disappointed. My nail tech seemed rushed and again my cuticle was nicked by an electric file. I asked for a coffin shape but my nails were totally over filed and uneven. When I pointed this out to the tech she told me the powder would even it out. I ultimately went home, cut my nails and reshaped them myself. I will say,however, the nice thing is the powder was done well and isnt too bulky. Was it worth the 60 dollars I spent on a set and awful manicure? No. Will I be back? Probably not.

Very friendly staff! Ngo, the owner, did my nails and she did a superb job! I was greeted at the door by her and was seated immediately. I enjoyed the thorough massage of my feet and hands. The massage chairs are really comfortable. They even gave me a water bottle because I was thirsty. Great customer service and I will be going back.

Great environment! Everyone was very kind! They were busy when I walked in and I had to wait for about 25 minutes but it is back to school time so the wait for how busy they were was not bad at all in my opinion!! As a former hair dresser, back to school time is always very busy. I saw Le and she did a phenomenal job! I loved the coffin shape she gave me before the nails were finished! She was very kind, gentle, funny, and is very talented! I definitely suggest you stop in to see her! I havent had my nails done in maybe 5 years so I was nervous and hesitant after reading reviews for other places. Every salon will have a bad review or 2. There is always a bad day/ bad costumer. Le made me feel comfortable and educated me on the major differences between dip and acrylic. She was truthful and honest about the length and shape I wanted and why dip wouldnt be the beat idea for me but she did not try to talk me out of getting dip. Just wanted to lmk why it isnt always the best. I went with acrylics and I am happy I did!! I am obsessed with my nails!! Theyre perfectly shaped and the color, 109/tiger stripes, is so pretty!! I will definitely return to see Le!

I have been going to First Lady nails for 2 years. I have had many of their technicians and they are all wonderful. Personally I have Johnny do my nails and eyebrows every two weeks and they have never been better! His attention to detail is amazing. I love the friendly atmosphere and the genuine love they have for their guests. I highly recommend First Lady nails and especially Johnny to all of my friends and people that I meet!

I’ve been going here for quite some time and it is by far my favorite nail salon. I always just walked in and went to the first available nail tech. Now I ALWAYS go to moni she always knows exactly what I want so I definitely recommend her if you decide to go here! Besides her, the staff is incredibly awesome.. so welcoming and friendly. They always get me seated as soon as I walk in since I’m there a lot. There’s tons of color choices to choose from.

Ive had my nails done now for 20 years, and Johnny at First Lady is the absolute BEST over & beyond anyone else Ive encountered. Let me explain...i like to push my fill-ins to 4wks or after and my nails NEVER break! Hes fast & efficient without sacrificing quality. I love him!

Asked the lady multiple times about a light pink color prior to starting my dip nails (derby week, colors count!) she kept just rushing me and her recommendation wasnt anywhere near what I did robed. My nails are see through and the color isnt any pink Ive ever seen. My nails were uneven and clinging to my fresh, perfect right? Guess Ill be hiding my hands at oaks this year!

Ive been going to First Lady Nails for a few years now for the nail dipping process. Dipping is not available at all nail salons, but its a process I highly recommend. The nail color stays fresh and shiny for 3 weeks. My nail technician is always Moni - she does an excellent job every time, so much so, I have all my 2018 appointments already booked with her.

I am from out of town and the level of of customer service and skill set was outstanding. I recommend this place!

My first time ever going to a nail salon in Louisville, and it was the worst. I have nails that are crooked and they don’t even reach my cuticle. It looks like they’re a week old and I got them 48 hours ago. I noticed one of the nails being crooked and ask her to fix it. She filed it and never straightened it up. I’ll NEVER go back and I’ll not recommend to anyone. So disappointed.

I went and had a great shellac manicure, however three days later I had a chip on one nail. So, I went back to see if they could fix it. They were super nice, fixed other nails they thought werent up to their standards and didnt even charge me!!! They just got themselves a loyal customer!Also sooo many color choices!!!

Normally I don’t have a problem with my nails this is my spot! However, here lately my nails have been breaking easily. I got my nails done today and my real nail broke off, plus my manicure that I got my real nails are very soft. I feel like they are going to break again. Not a very satisfied customer.

Worst nail salon I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to many over several years. Rude staff and owner. After explaining to them that my nails were very thin and that I preferred they not use a drill but instead use a nail file they rudely told me they would not do my nails unless I allowed them to use a drill. The way in which the entire situation was handled was extremely unprofessional! DO NOT USE THIS SALON there are many other good salons in Middletown.

This was my first time here today, the environment is nice but the lady who did my nails did not really put much effort into it. I asked for a coffin shape but was left with more of a square shape, although I pointed out to her that it was not the right shape. I was also disappointed with the paint job, there are spots that the top coat wasnt fully put on to my nail, and it looks lumpy, Im disappointed and will not be returning here again.

The girl did a horrible job on my nails today. She rushed through the soak off process, so there was still dip on my nails when she applied the new coat. She missed several dip nail steps (Ive had my nails done many times before, so I am very familiar with the process). I attempted to tell her the steps in a VERY nice way. Her response... they look bad now, but I will fix them later. I got up to wash my hands and when I returned, I was surprised to be greeted by another nail technician (manager) who criticized my nails for being natural (uneven). She then filed my nails again and asked me to wash my hands...again. She then sloppily applied the top coat. By this time, she could tell that I was very unhappy, but did nothing to rectify the situation and honestly, didnt seem to care. Final result: Dried dip on my cuticals, bumpy nails, dull top coat, nails that have different shapes (oval, stiletto, or no shape at all), and a French tip that looks like it was completed by a child. I wasted $36...$41 if you include the tip I provided (I know that I should have said something at the time, but have a hard time complaining and not providing a tip for services rendered). So I decided to leave a honest review and not return to the nail salon.

Went in today before the holiday and WORST experience! I showed the guy a picture of what I wanted and he did not do at all what I asked and he did an awful job on the fill in. It doesn’t even look like I had a fill in done. Second had a pedicure and got the Jelly Pedi... he rubbed my legs... didn’t even massage or really try to make it relaxing. And third. There was a bigger guy there and he was obnoxious and kept saying things like “sexy” “your husband” and was very unprofessional and not making the expierence relaxing at all. The lady he was working on looked very annoyed. I paid $63.00 and am currently having my sister in law repaint my nails because... they look TERRIBLE! Never again will they have my business!
