Troy Allen and his company are 5 star business all day, every day! My van stalled just south of Louisville at 230am on way home to north of Indy on a Sunday morning. He answered his phone at 530am Sunday morning, met us at 7am after a fare he had already scheduled, helped us get my my van to his shop, and then drove my family, and all our luggage home. The next week he had my van repaired and ready for me to pickup and drove home. Was even willing to drive it to Indy if he got a fare to there. Stand up guy, should be voted best service in Louisville. Best customer service I have ever received. Definitely recommend. His company is hands down best transportation company in and around Louisville. His son is equally as good; polite, respectable, and professional Youngman. Thanks Logan for hanging out!! Our first time using taxi service in Indiana. They were early, the driver is very nice he gave us like a little tour of Kentucky on our way to the airport, i believe he is the brother of the owner. Definitely knows now who to contact when we need ride again on our next visit! Thanks a lot!

Super unprofessional service! Booked a taxi with them for airport pickup days in advance and confirmed again the day of arrival. Once I landed I was told the driver needed to take some pilots to their hotel and that they had booked the same time as me two months earlier. No apology was offered and he asked me to wait on him to complete the job. I said no and got another ride. Very unreliable company that will leave you stranded! Avoid!This rude man also sent me hateful and unprofessional text messages after he saw this review. Please read all reviews and you will find many like mine. I got an Uber for much cheaper BTW

Great driver, he took me and my friend way out of his way(4 hour taxi ride) for a great price. This was at 2am and was very quick to pick us up at a rest area. Excellent company!!!!!! I give them 10 stars

I cant say enough for this guy. We were stranded on Interstate 64 just east of Louisville Kentucky. Troy Allen came to our rescue helpedus locate our vehicle after being towed away. Also fixed our suv and got us back on the road heading back to Virginia. thank you so much!

Booked a ride for 3:50pm around 2:45. Plenty of heads up, right? No. Main line said the driver would call me. 30mins later nothing. Called again, got the drivers number, no answer. Driver calls and tells me hes running 10mins late, hes in traffic but hell definitely be there he promises. 4:20pm Rolls around. Okay. Call again. No answer. Call main service. Get a call back from driver 10mins later. Hes at the wrong location. Hes now 25-30mins away, telling me hes getting aggravated he cant find us. The driver is aggravated? Im the one who has been waiting- when I could have called another taxi BUT he wanted to make sure I wasnt going to cancel on him when he told me he was running late. So I didnt- until almost 4:40pm. :| When I called the first time they repeated the correct address back to me. I said on the phone it was fine but I needed to be back by 5pm because my mechanic would be waiting on the part I was going to pick up. Unbelievable.Edit: I was literally about to post the review and now the driver who was late is blowing up my phone?? Why would you be calling me an hour later after I cancelled???

Called for a cab at noon. Was told ~20 minutes for one to arrive. After 25 minutes with no cab I called again. The dispatcher told me the driver was just now on route and would be there in an additional 10 minutes. Fifteen minutes later the cab still hadnt arrived so I cancelled and used a different service. A 40 minute wait for a cab is just absurd, especially within 2 miles of the airport.

Our flights change daily so you cant go off last months. We were scheduled at 8am they were scheduled at 820 you took us to the airport leaving at 814 so that mean you were even later for the 820 crew and I will be sure to show your comments and how unprofessional you are to the supervisor who handles our transportation.😁

Decided to try a new taxi service and reading reviews, settled on Allen Taxi; I did not settle. Ride was fast, clean, efficient and on time. Driver was friendly and personable. Only one experience with them to be sure, but a great first impression, recommend.

A small group of us was in town for a bachelor party and couldnt be happier we found Allen Transportation to book for the weekend. We used their services Friday on a pickup at the airport and Saturday and Sunday with two full days of a custom bourbon tour and then Monday on return to the airport. We experienced 3 different drives over the 4 days and all were outstanding and knowledgeable of the area(s). One even offered to drop off our purchases at the hotel for us so we wouldnt be bothered carrying them when dropped us off for dinner. I will without a doubt use them again as the pricing was fair, the vehicles were nice and clean, and he was able to give great suggestions on things to do and made our trip more enjoyable. Thanks for lifts Troy!

Have used their Black Car service with excellent results. No-frills dispatch was nevertheless courteous, got it right the first time and called to confirm. Driver was on-time, appropriate, polite and accommodating, and car was spacious, clean and quiet. Excellent value. Recommend.

I called at 640am told him i need a ride at 7am he said half an hour..which is 710..at 715 he still wasnt there..i just walked home..my feet hurt so bad. He then calls after im halfway home..i didnt even answer in fear i would cuss him out. If you arent going to be on time..then call..else get out of business.

Well....ordered a cab the day before having to go to airport. Got a call from company 15 minutes before pick up time to say they couldnt make it!!!!! Would not recommend using this company and stick to reliable yellow cab.

My truck was in the shop in Louisville, Kentucky and my company reserved a hotel in Georgetown, Indiana. I called and was told hed be there in 15 minutes. More like 5-10. Your driver was super professional and got me to my hotel in a timely manner. Even the price was fair. If I have to check out, I know who to call. Thank you so much.

I would leave a 0 star rating if I could as the taxi I ordered never showed. I waited for a hour and a half, called multiple times and each time they said they were 5 minutes away.....

Great service and quick arrival. We realized at the last minute that we needed a ride to the airport and found Allen Transportation online. Troy and a second driver were at our house within 15 mins to pick up our 5 person family with luggage and took us quickly to the airport. The price was excellent and both drivers were nice and professional. Definitely would use them again.

Thank you for picking up my family in the middle of the night after being stranded with 2 flat tires. Fast, safe service! The driver even helped my husband carry his bags because he was by himself with a baby. Can’t thank you enough!

These guys were fantastic! We booked them for the entirety of Oaks Day, and they were right where we needed them, when we needed them, and shuttled us all over the Louisville area (across a total of three counties). I highly recommend them!

Placed call to Allens after cab 7 never showed up. He told us 15 mins and was there in 15 minutes. Nice roomy vehicle, and nice guy. Will us again next time we are in Louisville.

Nice driver for the first ride but was late and smaller vehicle than needed. After event they were a no show and non apologetic. Not very reliable. I was a customer of Allens Transportation in Louisville Kentucky with a group and they drove me to the Oaks and did not show up after the Oaks.

I love this company! Not only were they prompt and professional, but they were kind and went out of their way to help us. I will use them again for sure.

I had a very pleasant experience with Allen Transportation. I had the pleasure of being picked up by the owner whom was very nice and respectful. He was on time and the ride was very comfortable. I was picked up in a Mercedes Benz Van which was way better than riding in any of the cab services in town. Not only was i picked up in style but the rates are inexpensive. 75% cheaper than yellow cab and 777. I would definitely choose this service over any and recommend them to everyone. Most people say Uber everywhere but I say Allen everywhere.

I used Allen Transportation for transportation to and from Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby. Overall, the service I received was good, but unfortunately it didnt completely match up with the services that I was sold (and pre-paid for). Both drivers I had were very good, friendly, and did their best to provide the promised services. I was promised a certain type of vehicle when booking (four seat van) and end up with a full-size SUV one day and a small economy car the other (not OK). The pick-up location after the Derby was not as promised, and I had to actively reach out to Allen Transportation to find out where the pick-up location was moved to. A little pro-active communication and explanation could have gone a long ways in this situation. Overall, I understand that there are some issues out of their control (traffic control being a major one), but I was disappointed in being stuffed into a tiny car after pre-paying for something much larger.

Excellent Service!! No words!!I was stuck in Carolton, KY while travelling to Cincinnati from Louisville, as my car was broke down, it was Sunday night 10pm, we did not get car repaired, no mechanic, decided to take a taxi, called almost every taxi/ cab company, no one provides service in that area, then I called Allen, he arranged everything within 10 minutes, sent his brother, who was a real gentleman, he picked us from Carolton within an hour, and dropped us safely at our destination, with our two kids. On the top, he charged us very reasonably, I highly recommend them!!

I am in Louisville for the weekend and my car died at my hotel. My friends and I decided to walk to Walmart (after not finding anyone to jump the car) to buy cables. After finding ourselves in an unsavory neighborhood we called Allen taxi to give us a ride to Walmart. The man who answered the phone said he would call his driver and see if his driver had cables and could drive us back to the car to jump it! Peter picked us up promptly and jumped our car. We are very grateful! I felt the price was pretty fair and the service was excellent!

They showed up almost exactly to the estimated arrival time, seemed professional, charges were reasonable.

I have used this company with mixed results, and will not use them in the future. Tonight was the worst experience. After booking over a month in advance the vehicle and rate changed the week of the event. Day of the event the driver was an hour late, went to the wrong address and did not pick us up in the vehicle booked. After pre-paying cash the vehicle never showed up to pick us up after the event and we received threatening phone calls to remove negative reviews that I had never posted. At this point I felt obligated to share my negative experience. I had a large group from out of town that was left stranded on the side of the road. I will not use this company in the future.
