Ive gone to a number of barber shops in my life- I got to say this is at the top of my list.This is more expensive than your typical roll-the-dice on what you end up with chain barber shop. But as they say, you get what you pay forThe place was clean and a stylish mix of old school and hip. I was welcomed as soon as I stepped in. I decided to go all out on my first visit, haircut, premium beard trim, and even ear and nose waxing (the waxing wasnt painful, but not something I would do on most visits)I was lucky to get Zack (though I am pretty sure the other barbers would have been wonderful as well). He did a consult on what I wanted and made a few suggestions I agreed to without question.He took his time with the cut and paid attention to detail resulting in one of my better haircuts. Then he trimmed my goatee and mustache.Then we got to the good part- the shave- wet towels and straight razor. There is nothing better than this kind of shaving experience and if youve not tried it you are missing out.As I said the ear and nose waxing wasnt as exciting as the rest, but the rest was worth it.Bottom line, I found my new barber.

I met with Dustin today for a long overdue haircut and premium beard trim. From what I gathered beforehand he’s a pretty new barber, but don’t let that stop you from setting an appointment with him. He was skilled, professional, and nice — I’m very happy with how I look and will definitely be back.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Have been a longtime customer at another barbershop in town and thought I would never leave there. When this place opened on the corner of our street though, I decided to give it a try. I am beyond glad that I did. Zach, Sarah, Ryan and the crew are incredible. I know whichever barber I go to, I am going to get a great haircut. They are super talented barbers, the shop is incredibly clean and they’re always on time. Love supporting another locally owned business and they definitely have a customer for life.

Today was the first time since I moved to Louisville several years ago that Id gone somewhere else other than Great Clips for a haircut. I made an appointment online earlier this week, and they sent me a few reminders which was helpful. Sarah was my stylist and she did an amazing job! My hair can be stubborn and difficult to work with, but she skillfully and patiently cut my hair exactly the way I had envisioned it. It was helpful to have her talk me through each step and explain what she was doing. Sarah also offered suggestions on how I could style my hair along with what products might work best.The price might appear surprising to some who are just used to going to a chain barber shop like myself, but I think it is very fair for the convenience, neat atmosphere, and excellent service you receive (it includes a neck shave as well!).Im glad I visited this location today because I left with the best haircut Ive ever had!

Great environment. Professional but relaxed. Friendly staff all around. My stylist, Zach, was very detail oriented, skilled, accommodating, friendly and communicative. Ill definitely be scheduling with them again. Thank you Handsome Fellows!

I have been looking sometime for a barbershop in Louisville, so when Handsome Fellows popped up close to home on Frankfort, I had to try it.Booking process was super easy online. I chose Zach, but honestly everyone looked pretty legit. I cross referenced my decision w/ Instagram so I knew he could do a solid cut.When I arrived Zach and I think Sarah (not sure if right name?) were there and very nice / conversational, which made it easy to settle in.Zach killed it - great attention to detail and knew pretty much exactly how I wanted my haircut even though it was my first time. Would recommend him to anyone.Value is there, too. Neat store and great products to top it off.Ryan (owner) seems to be a great dude, too.5 stars, thanks!

After several years at another local barbershop I decided to try out the new St. Matthews location. Ryan has consistently provided top notch and consistent service both with my haircut and beard trim. I’ve already gone ahead and scheduled out my cuts for the year with him, which is another advantage over my previous place, the ability to schedule and reserve a time. Definitely recommend!

Been to both locations, and they are great! Clean spaces and professional barbers who make the experience that much better! They do a tremendous job and would highly recommend giving them a try!

My son has despised getting his having his hair cut his entire life. We’ve tried countless barbers/stylists/salons, most resulting in tantrums and tears. He wanted to try Handsome Fellows Frankfort Ave location for the “cool” look of the shop. He was booked with Zach. When he got home he was so excited about his cut and how “chill” Zach was. He had his 2nd cut with Zach this week and was equally thrilled with the results. I’m convinced his self-esteem has gone up. Highly recommend!!

I have been a handsome fellows client since they started on 2016. I went to their new St Matthews location on day one and I was nothing less than blown away. It was so clean, comfortable, updated, and had so much natural light. The atmosphere was great! The service was impeccable and joyful just like the Middletown location. I would not recommend going to any barber anywhere else! If you are anywhere near the St Matthews area you are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t frequent this barber.

Ive been seeing Ryan (the owner) at Handsome Fellows for haircuts from its inception to its newest location. Ryan takes pride in his craft and cares about his customers AND his fellow barbers. It definitely shows b/c everyone is always polite, talkative, and happy. Within the last year I started bringing my son (5 yrs. old) in for his haircuts and I was nervous he would be shy/apprehensive. Ryan made him feel comfortable and connected with him on his level from the jump. Great place for a father/son session!

Great group of professionals! Highly recommend. Zach has been hooking me up with fresh fades for a couple months now and Chris gave my son a mullet Hulk Hogan would be jealous of! Go check them out!
