I shopped insurance with 4 different companies that all had Google reviews with a 4.6 or higher. While they were all good, Joel was the most responsive and found us the best price and value. We landed with Erie. He went head to head with other companies representing Erie. Joel found us big savings. Although he was not my insurance agent then, I had known Joel Peterson professionally for about 15 years, and knew him to be knowledgeable and trustworthy. My wife and I had multiple policies with the same insurance company he worked for but we had a different agent, (who was not great at returning calls in a timely fashion, if at all). I was the VP of Marketing for the local education-based credit union (Class Act) whose members received a discount from the insurance company Joel worked for. Because of that affinity relationship, I would often work with Joel to help our credit union members get great deals on insurance. It was a pleasure working with Joel. Usually, he was able to offer our members significant savings on their monthly auto and home premiums. My wife and I had been with that insurance company since 1994 - 26 years, but in recent years the rates kept jumping up by 25 - 30 % each time the renewal came due - even though we had zero claims and stellar driving records. We got into the routine of calling our agent and then he would eventually work some voodoo to get our rates back close to what they had been. However, this year that company was not able to re-rate us so we called Aspen Ridge to get a quote from Joel. He was able to shop several companies and offered us better coverage for about $500 less per year with a large reputable insurance company. We of course are happy with the savings, but happier still to have Joel as our agent. He is quick to call back, or answer whenever we call which is a huge upgrade from our previous agent.
