I started my Sanctuary Fitness journey in late July 2021!! I must say that I am truly in love with everything Sanctuary Fitness offers! Shoutout to Zach, Sabrina, and Tara who are AMAZING instructors. They motivate you, they push you to go harder, and they are there to help you along the way! If you’re thinking about checking out a class or two I’d say stop thinking and just do it! It’s truly the best decision you’d make!!
First off, I want to say that the staff at Sanctuary Fitness DTLA is great! They are super motivational and really push you to be your best! The exercises are really great too. They offer an awesome introductory week or 2 week promo to get a feel for the class. Definitely recommend!
After almost two years of false starts, Sanctuary Fitness finally got me back to working out consistently!!!! In just under an hour, you get a full body workout. The instructors are super helpful, genuine humans that made me feel part of the group from day one. I finish every session feeling exhausted, content, and accomplished.It’s only been a few weeks and I’m already feeling SOOOOO much better in my body, more energy for my day, improved attitude, and that guy in the mirror is looking fitter and more himself everyday.

This has been a great place to get back in shape after being stuck at home for the past year. The workouts get you going, but theyre pretty forgiving if youre out of shape or just starting out. Personally, after doing crossfit for a few years, I was afraid of getting injured and I wanted to do something lower impact but still high intensity. Sanctuary has really nice equipment and the staff are all welcoming and wonderful. Highly recommended!
Great studio located in downtown la! Its been more than a year since Ive exercised due to the pandemic, so I signed up for a 2 week membership (great deal) to get back into the fitness routine. Each day targets a different focus area, so you can sign up for the days/classes based on what you want to work out.
I found out about sanctuary through Classpass and immediately fell in love. Every worker and trainer there is passionate and cares about what they do, they check in on you throughout your class and make you feel excited to return. Its a bit pricy but fully worth it in my opinion!
I started coming to Sanctuary post pandemic, and Im super happy with the classes. Its really helped me get back in the groove of working out, and the instructors are very helpful. The environment is positive and theres plenty of parking in the neighborhood.
In comparison to other gyms Ive used, this is by far my preference to use when working out because of the people who work there. They are very polite and can correct your pose and stance if they see you are not doing the proper thing! The most excellent gym in town!
I really love going to sanctuary. Normally I DREAD gym days, however the sanctuary crew helps it to go by SO fast and the rotating format makes it feel like I blink and I am done. They are also very flexible with everyone’s skill level.
Workouts are still good for most levels. Advanced people will need to add weights or reps but thats a easy fix. Instructors are good and attentive. The space is clean and in this pandemic environment precautions are adequately taken. Definitely a go to spot for a good workout.
I love these classes! Sharon is my FAVORITE instructor! She just gets it, and has the experience to back up the moves with applicable information! She is thorough and helps everyone correct posture to really get the most out of the classes. The gym is lovely and I am REALLY considering becoming a member! I did t ever think I could do 6am HIIT workouts but here we are! I live the outdoor elements. Indoor looks great but I haven’t done anything inside yet (indoor opens in May so we’ll see!)Overall, I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with them. I love this gym. I used to go before the pandemic, and recently started going again for their outdoor classes. The instructors are really friendly and dynamic, and definitely know what they’re doing. Jules is my favorite! The workouts are fun and tough, and they always make sure to switch up the moves and format. Def give it a try if you can

My absolute favourite HIIT studio in la. continually first rate programming and every class is extraordinary than the next. ensure you try to come with the aid of and take one among Brandon’s lessons at the weekend. additionally they offer yoga and boxing instructions too in case you need to interchange it up. I went 5 times during my week intro offer! A friend of mine referred this gym to me and I’m so glad about it. Each day focuses on different muscle types and technique, so you really can go every day. There is a lot of variety within the class, utilizing TRX, weights, bands, cardio, rowing, etc. The instructors take the time to meet you, and it’s easy to meet people in the class, but if you’re a shy person you can also take a spot in the corner and treat it as a solo class. Highly recommend! #happilysore

Sanctuary has been my saving grace for 2021. Id been working out from home (or trying to) since the start of the pandemic, but knew I needed a change. Their outdoor setting feels safe to be able to partake in a class setting, and every second is worth it. I only wish I could attend more frequently!

I have gotten waaaaay too out of shape in the pandemic, so I came to Sanctuary to snatch up. I can’t say enough about the quality of the instructors! They are positive, motivating, and they werk you hard! I love that the classes are only 45 minutes, so you can get your workout in and go about your day. You must try this place!!
This place is a lifesaver. The classes here are chill and so easy to go to and do that you never feel out of place. They don’t try to consistently modify you and make you feel out of shape or that you don’t belong. They keep you moving on your feet, motivating you, and overall trying to spread a positive vibe throughout the studio.
I found Sanctuary Fitness on Instagram a few weeks ago and tried my first week at DTLA location. I realized that this was the kind of gym I had been searching for and now became a member! Instructors are so energetic, supportive, and the classes are fun. So thankful for offering outdoor workouts during COVID-19.

I started working out at SF in the DTLA/Arts District location a month and a half ago and I absolutely love this place! I used to play a D1 sport in college so I tend to be picky about the types of workouts and gyms I join but Sanctuary Fitness is the real deal (for all levels!). All of the instructors are amazing, professional, and motivating so you really can’t go wrong. Each day focuses on different parts of your body so you’ll never get bored if you go 4-5 times a week. Even days where I don’t feel like working out, going to Sanctuary is the best 45 minutes of my day. It’s worth going every single time!!Also because of COVID, everyone gets a spray bottle for cleaning and a designated 6-foot square so you can comfortably workout.Truly recommend working out here, it’s an awesome community!

The classes are fun and push me to work harder! The instructors are engaging and I love the sense of community that they have created and maintained even through the pandemic. I honestly love Sanctuary Fitness. The location is perfect, parking is never an issue, the staff is always so motivating and kind, and the equipment is clean and sanitized daily. However, my favorite part is definitely the workouts. They are always fun but still challenging and work muscle groups that I usually never focus on. Sanctuary has my favorite outdoor workouts during this time without a doubt!
Truly a hidden gem, especially in these unprecedented times. Their outdoor workout classes are AMAZING! Classes include both HITT and resistance training and their instructors are so friendly and provide challenging and unique workouts each class. They have taken full precautions for sanitation and safety with a pod style class in which each attendee in class gets their own taped off floor space, mat and equipment for class. I discovered this place due to COVID but I look forward to continuing after!

I never used to do HIIT classes pre-pandemic. With gyms closing I decided to give them a shot and I have to say I’m hooked! I’ve tried other studios before, but the instructors, workouts, and environment at Sanctuary Fitness DTLA really resonated with me. Highly recommend if living around the DTLA area. Their classes are the best I’ve taken outdoors.

I’ve had an awesome experience with Sanctuary. They push me to work hard in every class, but what I love the most is that the classes are not Repetitive. Every day is a new challenge and for someone like me who gets bored easily and needs constant change, it’s perfect! The teachers are all amazing! I drive from the Westside just to see these guys!

If youre looking for a HIIT workout and other options to supplement your workout routine (yoga, kickboxing) this is a great gym to sign-up for. In general, great vibes, awesome energy. I drive all the way from the valley to go to Sanctuary. Theres simply no other place like it - the gym, the trainers, and the brutal workouts. It feels like Im getting my time and moneys worth every time, rather than just dilly dallying with some weights.

Make sure you try and come by and take one of Brandon’s classes on the weekend. They also offer yoga and boxing classes too if you want to switch it up. Love this place. One of the best places to work out in DTLA. This facility is super clean, spacious, and equipped with showers. Every fitness coach is super nice and professional. I was a proud member of the DTLA location for almost a year (up until I accepted a job offer elsewhere). If I could, I would be a Sanctuary Fitness member forever. My favorite coach there is Brandon. Give the place a try and youll understand why hes my favorite fitness coach.

I LOVE Sanctuary Fitness - DTLA. Used a Groupon and it was by far one of my best investments ever. I was new to HIIT workouts and returning to fitness after a very long recovery from an injury. All the trainers are incredible and they work with your fitness levels/injuries without sacrificing your workout.
Sanctuary Fitness changed my life, no exaggeration. I was always a yo-yo exerciser sometimes giving up a routine months at a time. I finally found a place that makes working out seem more like a fun time with friends. They keep it fresh by changing their format monthly and always add a little extra something to challenge yourself. Theres free parking after 4pm which is unheard of in DTLA. Facilities are very clean and all equipment is state of the art. All of the instructors are knowledgeable and passionate about fitness. Im very happy to be part of the family and look forward to my continued growth both physically & mentally with all my fellow peers.

You put in work and feel good about it when its over. Tired but accomplished. Love that you can do any class at whatever level of fitness youre in whether its your first time working out or a seasoned expert. This place is highly recommended.
This is one of my favorite places to workout. So much that I travel from the SF Valley to come here. The instructors are amazing and extremely personable which is important if you are in the beginning stages of your fitness journey. They offer HIIT and cycling. They have showers which are extremely clean and they provided toiletries in case you forget yours at home.

I cant say enough good things about the staff here. They are happy to answer questions, take the time to modify a move for you, or just chat about how the day is going. I take the HIIT classes only, and I find the classes effective and just the right amount of time. Shout out to Sabrina for being an incredible instructor as well!
Im a runner who has never enjoyed anything to do with weight-lifting. It always bored me. But I LOVE the HIIT classes here. Im never bored, Im always working really hard and 45 minutes is the perfect amount of time. The class schedule fits my own perfectly and the instructors, especially Rachel and Danielle, really help make the time fly by. Im enjoying my new muscles and finally being able to do push-ups.
The instructors, staff, and members are all fantastic. This place gets you a good workout and a supportive community. It doesnt matter whether youre a beginner or a long-time fitness buff, this place will always challenge you and make you feel welcome.

Ive been to so many HIIT classes around LA with Classpass, but Sanctuary is definitely one of my favorites! The instructors are all really upbeat and encouraging (especially Danielle and Brandon) and they really try to build a sense of teamwork in the classes! Its a awesome workout and fun and challenging every time, but also adjustable enough for all levels!

Sanctuary Fitness offers HIIT, cycling and yoga classes. HIIT classes target a different body part each day and the format of the class varies each month. The instructors are awesome and there is a good community of people at the studio. A variety of equipment and exercises keep me excited to come back. The equipment is not typically found at a chain gym like 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, or Golds Gym. It reminds me of crossfit exercises. The studio is like a fitness playground and you cant help, but smile during class.
So I literally just finished my first hiit class and I have to say, I’m already obsessed. I’ve been doing pilates and yoga for years, so nothing this intense (consistently). Needless to say I was a little intimidated. Everyone was really welcoming and the instructor, Kevin was super friendly and knowledgeable you could tell he loved being there and helping everyone. The class was really fast pace but at the end I felt like I had only been there for 15 minutes lol. The soreness is already setting it and I cannot wait to go back!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a fun new work out!

Sanctuary Fitness offers indoor cycling and HIIT classes.The HIIT classes are circuit training with weights and each day focuses on a different group of muscles. Every month, the studio changes the format to keep the workouts fresh and challenging. The HIIT classes use fun equipment, like tires, TRX, rowers, and medicine balls in addition to classic dumbbells.The cycling studio has great bikes, fun lighting, and cooling fans (in addition to AC). The cycling classes use a variety of music, keeping the workouts fun and fresh. Both the cycling classes and the HIIT classes are challenging yet approachable thanks to the incredible instructors here.The amenities are great, too. The womens bathroom has two showers. After 6am class, there are usually a handful of women who want to shower but the wait is generally reasonable, as everyone is conscious of others who are waiting. The womens bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, dry shampoo, spray deodorant, hair spray, and mouth wash. Towels are fresh and clean. Street parking is easy.The community at Sanctuary is friendly and approachable. The instructors make a point to learn everyones name and help each client get a great workout and have fun. When I was new, the instructors helped introduce me to other members, making it easier for me to feel like I belong and to make friends.
