Solid place. It was really easy to move in. Has everything you need for students housing. Staff is really friendly
Its so obvious that the manager is writing these 5 star reviews. After every bad review there is one praising the place. The two that stood out the most is when the parent named the manager and what he did. Then theres this 5 star review naming the manager refuting what the 1 star said. And then the one that said dont bother right after a good review with a few words. Saying the opposite. I have never ever seen a place that has the 1 star and the 5 star be. Neck in neck with each other especially since there is no in between. I write this because i think its shameful. Instead of working on their terrible customer service. They pile on more deceit by writing these fake 5 star reviews. I say stay away if they are willing to go this far to be this deceitful then there is no boundaries with this place ripped off is what you will get.
Im not sure if I love Element as much as a HATED last apartment, but staff that can hang on with my Mom for 45 minutes and her 6,000 questions deserves a shout out (Cant remember her name, Carrie? Cameron?). The place is pretty expensive, but seems worth it. Basically brand new. Plus, I just transferred here, so the furniture is a nice.
Great value for what you pay and perfect location for USC students
Been here a couplr weeks nowlooking at the old folks home across the way, I wonder what they do all daywhat nice art around the poolnever seen anyone watch on that outdoor tv, I guess maybe it would be a fun place to screen a movieinspirational quotes at the juice bar a plus
Living at Element was great! really friendly and helpful staff. They make living there really easy. Something you realize after moving to another building.
Great year all around. Compared to other student housing Element was a breath of fresh air. They were very responsive and take great care of their residents here.
Love living here. The staff is the best part of Element. They throw cool events for the residents and I feel like they really care about how we feel. Chirag in particular who is deal with is amazing! Always on top of any issues and going out of his way to make sure I had no continuing problems.
This is a great place. The location is just down the street from Target and Ralphs, and the facilities are kept in excellent condition--no pests of any sort. The units themselves are spacious and fully furnished, and the stuff were thoroughly helpful, friendly, and responsive throughout the year. Would happily recommend this place to anyone.
I absolutely LOVED living here!! The management is super friendly and easy to get a hold of, and they even hold events for all the residents like movie nights and ping pong tournaments. I would highly recommend living here if you are a student. Gorgeous pool/lounge area as well, with a fire pit and grill.
My experience living here was excellent--good proximity to lots of locations and good amenities. Chirag, one of the guys that works at the front office, is amazing at his job. Hes incredibly helpful if you have any questions or issues, and he makes living at Element as easy as possible. Chirag, I dont know how much you get paid, but it isnt enough. Youll be in good hands at Element!
I wish theres an option to give ZERO star for this place. I lived in a handful of apartments and rent houses with my friends, and Element is the WORST experience Ive ever had in my life.First of all, the walls are very thin. You will hear everything from upstairs, next door, and outside. I had a horrible roommate for three months and the management team didnt do anything. My other roommate and I definitely are traumatized from this experience.Second, the management team is not helpful at all. Yeah, they will act as they listen to your concerns and problems, but they honestly do not care about you and your living.Third, good luck getting out the lease EVEN IF you have a very difficult family emergency or anything because theres no such thing as contract breaking. I understand this part because I signed the contract. But under California Tenant Law (Civil Code 1942), you can ACTUALLY break the lease when the condition is uninhabitable which my case was a noisy neighbor in the building. Also, it doesnt make sense to NOT have a fine/fee for breaking lease for an apartment.Whenever I talked to the management with concerns and problems, I would come back with no answer but with more frustration.IF you are a current tenant, avoid getting help from Amanda and Christina. Maybe Chirag can help you but dont get your hopes up too high.IF you are a future tenant or considering this place, just dont... I do not recommend this apartment because they are full of lies and scams.AVOID. THIS. PLACE.
Told me to be on the waitlist, and promised me that there would be a room available and I kept waiting for 2 months until they told me that there might be no room available for me. They could have told me a little earlier since there were not many other apartments left! Would not recommend this apartment! Please avoid!
Spent 2 years here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience overall. Great perks (pool, study area, furnished apartments) and fantastic apartment managers; Chirag was was very professional, accommodating and personable!👌🏿
Great place to live! Inexpensive compared to my old place and much better neighborhood and management. The management staff in particular is very good about addressing questions/concerns promptly.
Is it even legal to charge so-called “painting fee” of $700 per room at the end of tenancy? And what on earth is “base cleaning fee” of about $100 per for under the circumstances that everyone has made their spaces sparkling clean ??????
Not a good place to live if you do not like loud noise/neighbors/parties at the wee hours of the morning and on the weekends. You can also be stuck with sublets who do not complete a background check or sign up to become a sublet at any given moment. Management will take no action.
Love living here. The rooms here are well-designed and well-equipped. Staff here are really warm-hearted. I want to thank Chirag especially who is always there when I need help.
I have changed my review from 5 stars to 1 star, and I wish to give a 0 star if possible. Long story short, if you do want your security deposit back, stay away from this place. When we first moved in, the apartment was like a mess. We sent pictures to the management people, and they promised they would take care of that. However, no one ever came to help clean the unit, and eventually, we clean it up ourselves. The walls are paper-thin, and you can hear people walking on the ceiling. The party noise will drive you crazy. Its like the whole apartment is shaking and falling apart. You could try calling the management for help, and I wish you the best luck.Dont count your safety on the security here. There was a night many units got break-ins, and the security guard doesnt even know about this. I don know if they receive any compensation from the apartment to cover their losses. Please, for your safety, stay away from this place if possible, if you dont want to be traumatized by seeing an intruder in your unit the middle of the night.AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
Very poor administration, loud noise during midnight and administration accomplish nothing. Here are some rule in our contract between tenants and element apartment about fine ticket due to loud noise after 10pm.1st Offense - Warning2nd Offense - $100 fine per tenant3rd Offense- $200 fine per tenantAdditional Offenses - $ 500 per tenantUnfortunately, when someone make loud noise including party or playing music during midnight such as 3-4am and I call the apartment security, they do nothing at all not to mention a fine tickets. Only in few cases the security appear and try to persuade people to be quiet. But some tenants just ignore these words and go on and the administration do nothing at all even we talk with them afterwards. So if you want to live with a good condition and quiet place, please do not rent Element Apartment. They never give a fine ticket. Until we leave the apartment, when we negotiate the issue with apartment, they even did not give us a formal apology
Cory is extremely nice and pleasant. Will really take the time to tell you what you are getting with the rent price. Totally professional.
BEWARE OF ELEMENT SCAM!! After visiting with my daughter of considering moving here! We were to pay a $500 deposit or risk losing a months free of rent, which really turn out to be nothing but a discounted pro rate adjustment. We were told by a Cory who claims to be the owner representative and were not allowed to speak to his supervisor. We notified him in a email that we decided not to move here and ask for our deposit back! He refused that we forfeited, we did not execute any lease or were presented anything in writing saying if we fail to move in we could lose our deposit. Im trying to located the manager and pursuing all remedies including legal litigation against this terrible experience. Please think TWICE or you might get BURNED!!!Hopeless in LA
ZERO STAR. They charge $700 painting fee for common area and $350 painting fee for bedroom no matter your wall is damaged or not. If you want your security deposit refunded in full, don’t come to this place.
This place is absolutely AMAZING! I’ve read some of the negative reviews and most of it is about the price, but hear me out -- IT. IS. WORTH. IT.The price is nothing in comparison to the benefits. Element is a great location to live in: right off the highway, only a 30min car drive to the LAX airport, and USC is right next door. Shoot, EVERYTHING a student needs is within walking range and there’s even an eatery downstairs. And don’t let me forget about the people running this place. The staff are incredibly friendly and are always looking for more feedback. They respond to maintenance issues immediately, help new residents move in, and always strive to create a flourishing residential community! Chirag, in particular, would always check in to make sure I was satisfied with my living situation. I couldn’t have been more lucky to have found this.
So far its been a good experience. Id bet the negative reviewers just didnt like the price.
Worst renting experience I’ve ever had.
A big rip off,you can get a studio apartment if you look well enough but dont look during the fall thats when all places raise their rent; around Dec. and Jan you will see studios listing in LA for the same prices this place is charging u $935 a month to share a dam tiny bedroom smh..
Love this place!
Dont. Scam.
Nothing worth the price
Dont bother
Too expensive
Dont.
