After having a terrible time with Apples support team, who were unable to help me with a problem with my laptop, I stopped by Allstate Computers. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and was able to restart my computer so I could back up my files. Would 100% recommend based on the quality of service and helpful nature of the technician.

I spilled an insane amount of water on my computer and went in hoping to get it fixed asap because I needed to use my computer for online classes and they were super kind and answered all my incessant questions. Came back a day later fully functional and they fixed it for such a good price ESPECIALLY considering the incredible amount of water damage. 10/10. Go here!!!!

I communicated with John about my Laptops battery being on its last breath. Due to COVID-19 he suggested I order the new battery gave me a price what he would charge for replacing the old one for the new one. He did it as to the agreed price and since I am a Realtor he was accommodating to get it done within a very short time.Great customer service and at a very reasonable price. What an amazing Guy John is, i had my PC for a year and wanted it upgraded, so i went ahead and bought a New CPU, A new Motherboard and a new case. He switched all the components from my old pc to my new one for a cost of 125$ also Widnows 10. That price comes nothing close to other places i have asked especially Geek squad. They wanted to charge me 200$+ for doing the same work that Allstate did. I would suggest him to all my colleagues if they ever have computer problems and you should to.

Dropped by today for some issues with my Macbook Pro that another Mac repair place couldnt figure out after I had left my laptop with them for a day. There charged me $69 for diagnostics but couldnt tell me what was wrong. John took 20 minutes and very systematically analyzed the issue (a problem with the battery and possibly the power management unit on the motherboard (SMC)). He must have rebooted my computer about a dozen times after resetting various hardware components, etc. John didnt have a new battery on hand but his analysis at least pointed to the possible problem. And, he didnt charge me a penny for his time. Great guy!

My old laptop finally decided to retire. I took it to John if he could take a look, sure just bring it in . He spent five minutes, most of that was for the unit to fire up. John Hunter is the proprietor and does all of his own work. I am a CPA and between my home and office have seven computers plus my laptop and several phones for which I am responsible. Over the last ten years or so he has done great work in keeping my systems updated, networked, and operating properly, all at reasonable pricing.

John worked on my laptop and in a matter of 10 minutes had figured out several issues that needed to be addressed. He should get more than 5 stars for how he worked late and called upon his resources to research and correct an unusual situation occurring with my software. When ever I have a problem with my electronics, I come to the experts!I dropped my laptop computer and they looked at it and said they would try to fix it. I then received a phone call that they had the parts and then another email that it was fixable!!! I love this place! highly recommend them. They are honest regarding what the can and cannot fix.

Ive been meaning to write this review for the last couple months. I had a wifi issue which prevented me from wifi connection on my laptop. since i work off the cloud often, it really affected my work productivity. dell wanted $200 just to explore the issue, despite the laptop being less than 6 months old. John let me know it was most likely an adaptor issue. he ordered the replacement, which came a few days later, and at that point he only needed a couple hours and $50 to fix. I highly recommend him for any computer issues. Hes honest, affordable, and very convenient to work with.

Walked in with 2 dead MacBooks expecting to drop them off and hear the diagnosis in morning. Nope. John the owner flipped them over with his tools ready right then and there. Btw, Apple Store wanted $600+ to “look at” the 2015 MB Retina. John noticed my power cord was frayed. Tried his own. The damn thing came on as I left it four months earlier. No charge. The keyboard assembly needs replacement, but that’s for another day. The 2013 MacBook? Faulty cable connected to hard drive. I thought it was the hard drive. Cost of replacement (which he has in supply) + repair = $75. No pressure. No upselling. Just an honest and smart business man with economical repair prices. Moving forward, would not go anywhere else in LA.

I just got my iMac back from these guys. they charge a very reasonable rate, and are quite knowledgeable about computers. i went from thinking that i would need to recycle (i.e., trash) my computer to it working even better than before it blew out. they work fast, and are willing to explain things to you, which was really great. they even did some extra stuff on my computer to help it run better. they are really nice and helpful. i would highly recommend this shop to anyone!

My computer that I have had for a while kept freezing and I did everything from cleaning it off, taking it to two different computer repair shops, defragging it, nothing seemed to work. The other two shops I took it to told me they were not able to find the problem, and nothing was wrong with my computer. After about two days of me getting my computer back from these repair shops, it froze again. If there is nothing wrong with my computer, surely it should not be freezing. I was getting ready to get rid of the computer thinking it was just going bad. Thats when I stumbled across John, all state computer repairs. Not only did he take the time to clean the computer from the inside, he changed the thermal paste which hasnt been done in years and was completely dried up, ran a diagnostic test, and even installed windows 10 as well as update anything on my computer that was outdated. John took the time to do all of this which took a few days of him holding the computer, but I like that he did not rush and finish in one day and tell me nothing is wrong with my computer like the other computer repair shops I have been to. As I leave this review, this is the 5th day I have gotten my computer back from John and it has not froze, its back to working normal. If anyone is looking for a repairman that actually takes the time to determine what the issue is, very knowledgeable, and doesnt take advantage over people who doesnt know much about computers, Id recommend John over other computer repair shops. I will be sure to give John a visit if I have any further computer issues. Thanks John!

My computer was super slow, and I couldnt do anything. I tried to repair it myself but only made it worse. John was extremely helpful and knowledgable. He got my mac computer upgraded and fast in no time for only a couple hundred bucks! He got really good prices on all the parts. I highly recommend him to do all your computer servicing. In addition to his great knowledge of computers, John is an honest man with great business values. My experience with this business has been One Hundred (100+) Plus Stars.John has doctored, resurrected, resuscitate, and even killed off any hidden Trojans or on coming flu viruses that I couldnt even pronounce the names too.I was referred to this business earlier in the year last year of 2013 when my prior HP computer had completely went black and just kept looping in the start up mode after it was turned on.Seemingly I had infected my computer when I had downloaded various tool bars and other desired apps that caused my internal system to crash.I have been so pleased with this business that they will be making my Holiday List again, as one of the lucky recipients to receive another gift package.If you have a system that you just dont want to take that chance and unhook it all, to take it in for repair, then call them and they can advise you on the proper methods to take.Any money spent here is truly well invested if you value your work on your computer.Weather its replacing the motherboard, LCD screen, hard drive or software updating; this is the spot to come visit personally either during the week or on a Saturday.I havent even began to think of another computer repair spot as of yet as a back-up spot but, just like anything else weather its a barber, cleaners, or a automotive repair shop we all should have a second runner up in these categories just in case they are closed for some holiday, or for many other reasons that we all could think of. John saved my data and saved me a lot of cash today. He is truly amazing. He recovered all my data from a crashed hard drive. We had a power outage last night and my computer got trapped in a loop, attempting to start but failing. Obviously I was concerned. I had not backed my computer up for several months, and it contained all my tax returns, client info, important pictures etc. I had a lot of trouble sleeping. I started my day at Frys, because the Geek Squad had failed me in the past, accidentally wiping an entire drive clean. Frys left me waiting at 9:15 am soooo long that I ended up using my phone to find John at Allstate. Not only did he diagnose the computer for free ($69 at Frys), he had to try 3 different methods before finding a way to save my data. I stood there trying not to freak out, as I watched what looked like a hopeless situation. Then he charged me the regular fee with nothing extra for the complex process. He is obviously talented. He has everything needed in house, and his fees are certainly fair. Then other customers came in. He was great with them as well. I live close but would drive many miles if needed. He is your best bet.

I had John install a New 1.TB Samsung SM961 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD in my Dell XPS 15 9550 and the 16gb XPS ram upgrade as well. This New Dell is the Best there is so I am glad I brought it in to John...Just in case you dont know this entails backing up the current drives data and removing the old 256gb SSD to install the new SSD drive. Then partition it correctly and copy all the data back to laptops new drive. The work was done in 24hrs and his work is perfect..I have found my new repair place for all my PC & MAC needs!~
