It is a wonderful experience renting car with Black & White Rental and especially working with Amber from start to finish. We have booked a 45 days rental period in summer for a Mercedez A220 since spring. Amber has patiently and cheerfully helping us with the car selection and keeping us updated throughout the long process prior to our arrival in LA. She even went out of the way to ensure that we got the newest model as we requested. The car was delivered on time, in clean condition and the delivery process was hassle free. Cant believe its taken me so long to write a review. This was back in Feb 2019. They did a great job! Very affordable. Great prices for under 25 years of age. I was 23 at the time I rented a vehicle from them. Everything went smoothly. Got my deposit back, which was great. You just got to be responsible. I definitely will be checking them out this coming August. Shuttle back to the airport was nice as well. Thank you very much!

We had excellent service once we found the office location on Isis Avenue. I think I would petition the City of Los Angeles to do something about that! But I digress. The only problem with B & W was getting to the location to pick up the car. We did everything that they told us to do, it was just a tad disconcerting. Once we walked in the door everything was handled efficiently and professionally by a friendly staff. We even received an upgrade as the model we requested was out-of-stock. Returning the car was a breeze as well. We come to LA regularly to visit family. The driver returning us to LAX told us the best days to arrive and/or leave from LAX is Tuesday and Wednesday. And I think they said next time - call and they will pick us up directly! Good deal. Good service.

This was the best car rental I have ever had. We called the office when we got to the baggage area and they sent a driver out to pick us up. He arrived a few minutes after we walked out the door in a beautiful black brand new Cadillac Escalade. We were treated like royalty! We were driven directly to their location while all other rental folks has to ride a shuttle. When we arrived we were welcome by the young lady at the counter, no lines and no hassle. We were on our way in 5 minutes in a 2018 Mercedes for less than I could rent a compact through Hertz or any other competitor. Any time I fly where I can rent from BLACK & WHITE I will always choose this company.

Fantastic rental agency. Hertz bait and switched us on Labor Day Weekend, offering us a car that didnt exist for $90, then jacking the price up to $296 when we called in to complain. Jonathan at B&W was able to help us out with no problems, at a much, much lower rate than Hertz was going to charge us. Dont waste your time with searching for a rental on the Web, just call Black and White.

Nice cars, but the communication between the staff needs work. John quotes me one deposit rate and when I get there another staff member increases it by $200. John wrote in the notes that he informed me of the 2 different rates Really I wouldnt have drove 45 minutes for nothing. Mite as well use Sixt rental cars!!!

Great staff, great service. The car we got was new and clean. Pick up and drop off procedures were simple and they drove us back to the LAX terminal with minimum wait time. I would highly recommend BW car rental to my friends

Im surprised there are only 2 reviews thats why I decided to write one to help this company out. Really good service, friendly staff, attentive with car details. I rented from Kayak and the prices were cheaper, so I called BW and they matched Kayaks price. I am under 25 but over 21 and there was no extra fee, if I remember correctly (this was back in August 2015)!

I was hesitant to try an unfamiliar company, however, the service was friendly and we were pleased. That is, until we received the notice that we had toll violations and owed hundreds of dollars for an electronic system we did not know existed! Black and White, do your out-of-town customers a favor and inform them of this toll system! Instead of notifying us within the 5 day limit, we learned of the penalties a month later, with an offer for Black and White to take care of the tickets for a fee of over $100. One omission and a great experience feels like a scam.

By far this was the CHEAPEST car rental around.That was the lure ... the true experience came from an easy check in, great, low frill car that worked wonderfully in Southern CA for four days, with bluetooth capabilites!The return was super easy and the shuttle back to the airport was a gift.A friend also used their services and LOVED it. They were surprised by how great it all was.

I know all car rental places pressure you to buy add-ons such as insurance and whatnot, but when they get angry and get in your face and say theyll come after you if you damage their car and keep getting you a hard time, a line is crossed. They were cheapest and now I know why. Choose a more reputable company and pay a little more per day. Itll be worth it to avoid rude service from this company. I hope a manager will see this and want to address it.

A scam. They will change the price depending on who you are, where you live, and whats in your bank account!! After speaking on the phone and closing a deal for $80 a day plus full insurance with a rep named Victoria, I arrived at the Beverly Hills location to check out the car I have booked. The rep took my ID and had noticed I live in Beverly Hills, and suddenly the price changed to $124 a day!! She walked me outside to see the car and noticed that I didnt like the car that I was getting, and definitely dont want to go over the $80 per day that we agreed on on the phone. Very simple and just like that, she had realized Im not stupid enough to pay $124 each day for the same car she told me was 80, made up an excuse about my ID not matching their system (I had 3 forms of ID and Im a us citizen) and really nicely kicked me out. When I asked to speak to a manager she said, have a great day. Very unhappy with the service. Definitely wont recommend this car rental.

Had 7 weeks inda States for a Free Roam Road Trip this year April-June,,, Have rented a car off B&W Rentals for the last 3 years,,, Good value for my time frame,,, The staff at the West L.A. store are great,,, always better to do deals face to face,, and Christina, the manager there,,, was practical and fully understood the nature of my trip. and also in a handy area to get supplies for a road trip,, just shytes me that you have to pay for air,,to inflate your tires,, if you havent bought gas,,, in the greater L.A. area,,, but,, I do recommend B&W Rentals for short of long term deals.
