The guy at the front desk, is unpleasant. Rude does not speak when you say hello. Makes you feel unwelcomed.

I was illegally stopped by the southwest police dept, vehicle was place in impound here. I called for 2 weeks after it was impounded. I was told multiple times that your vehicle is under investigation. I never recieved a call from swanney and Mcdonald, nor the southwest Police department that my vehicle hold was released( 45 days later). I was charged $2800 in storage fees. Never heard anything about the investigation on the vehicle that I own. Never spoke with the detectives. Couldnt get a fee waiver.

Car got towed and my wife left her drivers license there and they returned it even after closing time for her flight the next day. It’s just a job at the end of the day.

This is robbery backed by the government. If we Rob we get arrested and put in jail, they Rob and there is nothing you can do. Car was towed went there to pick it up, place was closed because their hours changed but they didnt bother updating their automated system or Google, so an extra $40 some dollars to pick it up the next day. Go there to pick it up and now they have moved it all the way across town, Great. The outrageous fees are designed for everyone to fail especially the poor. Racketeering supported by the government, good luck folks!

My car was stolen and it was towed to this Official Police Garage. I was coming to see the car and sign for my insurance company to pick it up. I called Swanney & Mc Donald once the police notified me where the car was being taken to and the guy on the phone was RUDE. I felt as if he was treating me as the criminal or parking violator. When I arrived to see the car, the guy at the desk was very cold. I need you license. He made a copy and then wait outside and someone will take you to see your car. When I returned he said I need your license, he again took a photo and marked here, here and here in red. Handed me a paper and said fill out all the red marks. I did, he reviewed it and said okay you can let the repair shop know they can come and pick up your car. The end. I got what I needed its just the attitude of the person helping me. It was like he was on probation and forced to work there. Finally, I would have had to pay $300 to get the car out after LESS THAN 24 Hours if my insurance didnt handle the situation for me.

Went on exposition to main office then was sent here was there about an hour and the person that help me at main office was who showed up to help me here guy waiting before me said dude was on lunch I guess lunch is 2 hrs

I must confess Swaney & Mc Donald has continuously been a force in our community with there effort to meet the demands of our collateral damage and towing needs and a chance to auction off variety of selective cars and allow us a purpose to keep us driven and on the go lifestyles.

This is a southwest police division police official garage. Instead try a more customer oriented business. Many of customers are more then upset walking into this business. Making sure you read all street signs posted and insurance of misconduct reporting is easier with well lit photos.

Extortion to the public funds

This tow place towed my 150k Porsche.. they completely ruined my leveling air suspension kit, punchered my front right tire during tow & damaged my front bumper lip & a few key marks near my front right tire on the fender. The most upsetting is them running my suspension as my car now sits lopsided and is not driveable. I opened a claim & they said nothing is their fault when they clearly damaged it from dragging my car across town... I will sue this company for sure. Crazy because they didn’t even investigate or send anyone out. They automatically assumed it’s not their fault and the tow truck driver did their job correctly when clearly my car is ruined. Watch out for these guys one of the biggest scam/crooks. I don’t know how the owners or management sleep at night. Knowing they ruined someone’s trophy car that they worked very hard for & not even willing to help out the situation. Now I am stuck paying $15k in damages.. I wish I could put 0 stars.

Worse place for ur car to be town at.. they are not even a lil profeccional on their towing.. they damage my rear suspension on my 2001 camry by driving it on a flat bed with the hanger.. bending my control arms from both side.. when I did a complaint.. all I got was a letter declining their responsibility towars my car.. all I got is a letter.. not even a person came to see my car or else.. #swanney&McDonalds needs to be responsible to much negative reviews..

They towed my car and scratched badly both of the front rims, and one of the tires came back with a big deep cut hole in it. I talked to Nick and he said it wasn’t their fault and they weren’t going to pay me for the damage they made even though I have videos before and after the car being towed. Now I’m taking them to court. 🤮

My son shoes came up missing but they was polite and friendly

Brenda Swanney Caropino, the owner of this business, is someone you dont want to deal with. It seems she runs a business that damages cars (see other reviews)

Gave bad advice (admittedly i should have known better). Tried to call for a towing, but was told there was only one driver available all day. Waited outside for speedy towing to tow my vehicle...in this time i saw several tow trucks pull up in to garage. Seems like they had plenty of drivers available.

They charged me twice for releasing my car. its been a week and i still can not get a response from them or my money back.

LA county D.O.T randomly steals peoples cars and then dumps them here. My car was towed from in front of my house at 11pm on a Saturday night. After DAYS of thinking my car was stolen and reporting it stolen, I find this place has my car. Paid a little over $300 just to get my car back Smh. They couldnt care less if you get your car back.

Ive personally dealt with Official Police Garages in the past, but this place really takes the cake & trophy for idiots of the century.
