One of the best airlines Ive flown with. I always fly Lufthansa when going to Europe. I highly recommend them. The best airline when travelling to Europe.

Everything went smoothly. Checking...employees are very friendly and the show their bests for the customers. I had to change seat and they arranged it for me.Lufthansa has been my #2 airlines. Only thing I do not like: they took away my frequent flyer points because I didnt travel whitin a year (2020) due to Covid!

We have flown with many different airlines and so far Lufthansa was the best and most pleasant experience! They are very clean and classy and their food is outstanding! This time we were flying from LAX to Munich Germany. Thats about 11 and a half hours so we needed to be comfortable. To avoid outlandish fees and since we were fiying internationally, we upgraded our seats slightly to premium economy. Had I not done the research, I would of just upgraded to business class or first class but after looking into it I found that premium economy, with Lufthansa, was a great option for a small extra fee. Hopefully my photos will get posted and you will see the ample amount of leg room offered plus the chairs do recline. There is a nice overnight kit complete with socks, earphones, eyemask and toiletries, a pillow and blanket, bottled water, full complete meals (at each mealtine), free assorted drinks and snacks throughout the flight. Keep in mind, this is just one step up from economy. It is not business class or first class. What we got for premium economy would be considered business or first on many other airlines.

Lost my bag which was a carry on but they asked me to check it in. Called them back to inquire and got rude representatives giving me generic answers. “We did not loose your bag it has been delayed”. 3 weeks and counting... no news about my bag yet. Great job Lufthansa this is how you treat your business class passengers.

On the 4th April I call Lufthansa to upgrade my baggage allowance for my flight back LAX-ATHThe person I spoke with told me that the price was more than $300 for an extra bag.He suggested that I can upgrade since an upgraded seat will give me extra luggage. He told me that the premium economy allows 2x32kg checked in luggage . I confirmed several times with him that this is the correct allowance before o confirm the upgrade .So after I saw the charges on my ViSa card were different ( higher) than the ones mentioned in the attached email.When I call to see what was going on I also found out that the upgrade of $878 doesn’t include more baggage . The actual charge in my bank is $609.98 and $329= $938.98!Nobody was able to help me or listen to what I was saying . They were just referring me to the rules on the website . I asked them to confirm what I m saying by listening to the recorded conversation when I did the upgrade.I have now spent more than 3h of trying to resolve this and I m quite frustrated as you can imagine . I often prefer Lufthansa for my long haul flights but never had to deal with their customer service .They also told me that I can’t cancel the upgrade ( even though they mislead me to take it)Never fly with them again ... there are done great alternatives available

Worst German Airline, didn’t received my entire refund for the cancellation and I called last year because the flight got cancelled due to Covid-19. I wouldn’t fly with this company from this experience.

Always excellent service from LAX to Frankfurt. When I flew on the A380 the experience was outstanding in Premium Economy. It was almost like business class and had all the amenities. When I disembarked, the staff allowed me to go upstairs and take some pictures for my family to see. The best experience I have had to date on any airline.

Horrible customer care. I requested a wheel chair for my mother because she cannot walk, but unfortunately, they told me she might need to go on the staircase. Also, I need to pay extra for the plus leg room which is free in other companies. Thats ridiculous i told them she cannot walk she has sciatica.

We flew from LAX to Delhi, India via Frankfurt...couldnt have been a better experience. Thats a LONG flight and the cabin crew, food, seats, etc. were just exceptional. The flight attendants were so friendly and helpful. Will try to fly this airline in the future!

Outstanding service, I asked for two beers and it was no problem at all! Good real German beer! Love it! This time on my trip I was on a several american, European and Russian airlines, and Lufthansa is best of all of them, even Aeroflot! Plenty of leg room even in the raw 20!

Horrible Experience with this airline as a first time flyer. I will avoid this airline and will not recommend anyone fly with them. I will never understand the rules for weight and baggage count. If i have two bags at the max weight this is ok, however if you have one bag that exceeds the max weight but doesnt exceed the total max weight of two bags, this is not ok. I also feel the attendants at the counter enjoy making customers unhappy with the inefficiency of modern technology. How can an airline service not have the ability to charge at the check in counter for fees. First impression with this airline was the worst. I will avoid booking any travel plans that have this airline in the trip itinerary.

I had an amazing experience with this airline. I flew this airline from LAX to Cairo Egypt with a layover in Munich. I enjoyed their food and service. Also friendly crew.

Terrible airline and worst customer serviceI went to the airport with my mother from Los Angeles to Frankfort. We showed up at the gate on time and they offered us to give 800$ per passenger to take the flight next day because they over booked the flight for 40 seats. We accepted the request she took our passport and took about 15 minutes to talk with her manager she came back asked us to put our Luggages on the counter, she went back to her manager and talked to her for 5 more minuets. She came back and said you missed the flight you were late😳So they were asking us for 300$ fine for rebooking the flight for the next day the manager came talked to us very rude and un polite! She was arguing with me that you were late. At the end they booked the next day flight but I told them I’m not gonna pay for the fine.I will never use this airline and don’t recommend.

Worse airline ever, they refused to let my parents (seniors) on the flight because they flight Egypt to Los Angeles had 2 transits in Germany and they were asking for visa for Germany. They marked them as no show even though they were there 3 hours before the flight so we wouldn’t be able to get a refund and sure enough when I called later on they said we can’t give a refund because it’s marked as no show.Will never use this airline again me, family or friends.Would not recommend this airline.

Attention, fraud! (German review below!) Do not book flexible tickets with Lufthansa. After I was assured in autumn 2020 that rebooking due to Covid-19 regulations would be free and hassle-free, I booked flights from LAX to Frankfurt in October. Since the trip cannot take place due to new lockdown rules in California and Germany, I wanted to rebook my tickets. Although Lufthansa says that they do not charge any booking fees, the fare differences are extremely high. A rebooking would cost $ 7000 dollars (although much cheaper flights are available through the Lufthansa website). When trying to book one of these cheaper flights, my ticket was then canceled without my consent or knowledge after I had already submitted my credit card information. Now I have my old ticket back, but I cant make any more re-bookings, although Lufthansa advertises that customers can rebook several times. Meanwhile I can no longer get through to customer service, employees have hung up on me several times and given me wrong and contradictory information. I would never have expected this from a serious airline like Lufthansa. As a long-standing Lufthansa customer and Miles & More cardholder, I am extremely disappointed. I recommend you not to book with Lufthansa! I for one will never fly with Lufthansa again, although I have to fly the Frankfurt - LA route several times a year.Warning, fraud! Unfortunately not what it used to be. Even with the online booking, the payment process is aborted and the telegraph service was not really helpful. The flight itself was okay. We flew with Air France last year, so we felt better looked after.

Within a 3/4 year, we booked 3x US flights at Lufthansa and were repeatedly wrongly advised by the Lufthansa hotline with the result, d. the paid return flight of our underage daughter was canceled without replacement (because she had not started the outward flight - with the agreement of Lufthansa - due to a school year in the USA). To rebook should cost $ 3,000 for the paid return flight. There was not even an info from Lufthansa and emails were not answered until today, although the ticket is still available. We had to re-book with Turkish Airlines - damage about 2.000, - EUR. It is unbelievable how bad the consulting quality of Lufthansa is. After our return, we have an appointment with the lawyer and will file a lawsuit against Lufthansa for the wrong advice.
