John, Richard and Jam are great guys! They got us set up with one of the best Zero Turns while keeping a smile on everyone’s face! The best customer service around, plus a great warranty!Thank you so much, God bless you guys!
Very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. Good prices Highly Recommend. The young man that loaded the mower was also very helpful and made sure before we left that we had no further questions.ZT ELITE 60” BadBoy!
Decided on purchasing a Ferris mower for our new large property. I was not impressed by my local dealers and decided to try this dealer. I go to Longview for work often, so I didnt mind the location. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. Thanks to Jason on the phone and Heather in person. I mowed when I got home and love the mower. Thanks to all!
Leslies is a great place to do business. The costumer service is second to none. Just bought a new Bad Boy zero turn from John. He was very knowlegdeable about the product and made sure I understood everything about my new purchase. Traded in a mower that I bought from them serveral years ago. Got a very fair price on my trade in and the new mower. If your in the market for any outdoor equipment you should check out Leslie’s Outdoor Power Equipment, They are awesome.
Great people and friendly customer service. I recommend them for any of your outdoor power equipment needs! They helped me find what I was looking for and made sure to communicate with me in the process until I found the lawn mower that fit my needs! Go see Heather and Richard and they will take good care of you!
Had a good experience and the customer service was great. They were very helpful picking the right mower for us. I highly recommend them for any equipment you may need.
Bought bad boy mower this past weekend, super easy buying experience, and they had it delivered to me later that day. Gave wife her first responder discount, and will do business with them again. Great folks!
Family run business that is extremely professional and friendly. Very knowledgeable about their products and forthcoming with any and all experiences. Awesome people!!
Thank you Leslie’s Outdoor power and Equipment for such an easy and informative experience buying our new Bad Boy Mower! We will be back and recommending y’all to everyone! Thank you againMR. John!
Great place! Great people! Always helpful and pleasant to deal with. I recommend them to everyone.
My husband came to your store and hes unable to walk far distances. He stayed in his truck while the gentlemen brought everything he needed to his truck, he never once had to get out! They were very polite and catered to my husbands needs while being knowledgeable of each question he had to ask. 10/10 would recommended Leslies Outdoor Power Equipment! We will be back :)
Just bought a toro from Mr.John he was awesome and he gave me 2 feee Ts thank for your kindness......
Staff was very friendly. John was supportive and answered any questions I had. Bought a bad boy avenger from them.
Great and friendly people very helpful.Nice mowers, prices not bad either.
Was nice and the workers were smiling and great to be around.
I had bought a lawnmower belt from them and they had assured me that it was the right belt for my lawnmower. When I had told them it was not, its to long they said it was what it called for. Ok so I put it on and tried to mow with it and it wouldnt stay on and kept throwing the belt off. So I try to take it back and they tell me they couldnt take it back because it was used. I had told them the numbers dont even match (ones on the PKG and the belt, they should match they said, but didnt). This is where I always buy my lawnmower parts, blades and belts but after being treated like this no more. Ive been going to them for years and have recommended them to everyone. Not anymore!
We have sent our mower here 4 times in a week cause they have yet to repair it properly
The best for new products and prices are very reasonable.
Had what I needed had a good talk with Mr. Leslie
Good people. Helpful. Will go back
Great service! They were super helpful in finding the parts that were needed and making sure they were the right parts before we even ordered. Will definitely come back here.
If you are looking for great products with fantastic customer service, look no further! Leslie’s Outdoor offers all of that and more! My husband and I purchased a zero turn from Leslie’s years ago and it is still running like new. They owners are very friendly and go above and beyond to take care of all of their customers!
I came in needing an edger for my small lawn business. The two guys at the front desk provided me their options in addition to a recommendation along with an explanation of why they recommended it. They were very quick to respond with the other items needed on my list. After buying the edger they did a quick service on it. Can’t ask for a better interaction, thanks!
Great work, awesome folks!
This is the place to go. Dont try the big box stores or your makeshift part. I have been here twice and both times they got me running with no trouble. They will sell you a new mower or outdoor toy...even the new robot mowers. They will sell you the parts you need for your mower or outdoor toy.And they will fix whatever you bring them. I bet they would fix your marriage too.Leslie is knowledgeable and will get you up and running.
Excellent place to do business, support local family businesses when i can has been my motto. Being new to the Zero Turn models, i came in to inquire about purchasing a mower, my first visit Jason helped me out and asked the right questions, they wanted to make sure i made the right decision, no pressure and no hassle and very knowledgeable on all the products and represented the business very professional, i came in a second time a few days later and was greeted by Heather, again very nice and very knowledgeable on every question i had asked her super nice, and after doing all my reviews on the different model. Finally i had made a decision on a residential model and was ready to purchase based on my own reviews etc. (boy was i wrong) and on my 3rd visit Jason had given me some more info on a lower end commercial instead of a residential (understanding that i have a commercial property with a few acres) after Jason suggested i take a demo ride on a different model, I ended up purchasing a Ferris 400 the purchase went super smooth and in less than a few minutes the staff had loaded my mower, (wow why can’t buying a. Car go this smooth lol)after getting home i was concerned if i had gotten too big of a mower (again boy was i wrong lol) after mowing the home front and my commercial building i was so glad Jason had me try the Ferris, if I would have bought the lower model i would have made a huge mistake, leave it to the professionals, I’m very confident in my future service with this place and again is why i like to support local business vs the big box stores or online purchasing, people seem to forget you are paying for more than just the product but the whole experience and future service when needed . Thanks again guys for the awesome experience and i will be referring everyone that needs any lawn equipment or servicing 5 STARS all the way for me !
Very nice people to work with. They are very knowledgeable. Very decent prices on parts and service.
Nice people
Good equipment an nice people
We came to Leslie’s early this morning looking to upgrade from a riding tractor to a zero turn. The sales lady, Heather was very informative and knowledgeable about all machines on the floor. We drove the Ferris 600 & 800 model. We left to go test drive and learn about other machines/brands around town including the Scag Patriot, Snapper Pro 125, Bobcat & Grasshopper commercial series. That being said we have returned to Leslie’s and are purchasing a Ferris 800! None of the other brands that we drove today could even compare to the suspension, the motor or the warranty that Leslie’s offers with the Ferris brand! Leslie’s will be our go to for all power and lawn needs from now on!
Very professional, curtious,friendly
My wife had purchased a string trimmer and blower from Leslies about a year ago for a Christmas gift for me. She chose Leslies because of their reputation and customer reviews, in spite of the fact that they are located over 20 miles from our home. The equipment worked well during the summer and I returned it to Leslies for a winter tune up. The first time I tried the trimmer after the tune-up, I found that it would start, idle, and rev up just fine, but would die whenever I tried to actually cut grass. Many attempts had the same results. I called Leslies and spoke with two people, Heather being the last one. I explained that I didnt think it was right for me to have to make a two more 40 mile round trips for them to repair the trimmer when they just had it in their shop. I asked if they could pick it up or give me some form of a credit. She said that they had an employee that did pick ups and deliveries, but only for riding mowers. I again explained my position and asked her to reconsider and was told absolutely no. She then wished me a good day and hung up on me.. Judging from the good reviews, they obviously have many satisfied customers. Unfortunately, I am no longer one of them.
Not bad
Don’t go to a big box store. Go to a local dealer! This one is great.
Great service, great recommendations. Premixed gas prices identical to big box retailers in town.
Incredibly helpful!
Today I got a phone call from the older gentleman that works at the counter that one of my parts came in for my go-cart. He has always been very kind, and helpful, even today as he kindly asked me to never come back to his store. He quoted me that the parts I needed would be around $20.00 or less the other day. When I asked him how much this part was that came in today, he said it was $36.00. I told him that was higher than what he quoted me for two parts. When I got off the phone with him, I decided to look up that same part number online, and found several online retailers selling the same item for around $9.00, some with free shipping and others were around $3-$5 in shipping. Then I decided to look for the other part, and it was .66 cents. Then I looked up the belt I paid $40.00 for the other day, and it was only $23.00 online. I know the prices online will always be cheaper. The point I am trying to make is that I try to support local businesses by buying from them, but when they marked up the price to $36 for something I can get for $9, thats a little too extreme. I want to support local businesses, but not get taken advantage of. So I called back, and told the older gentleman that I found that rubber tube for .66 cents, and for him to not worry about ordering from his supplier, because they didnt know when it was going to be available anyways. He kindly replied to me that it was okay, he will still order some for the store. Then I told him that I saw the part that came in for me today, and it was only $9 online. Then he said that his part was for the whole assembly, and I told him so was this. Its the same part number. Then he told me that I should just order it online, and that he would keep the part I ordered for his store. I didnt even tell him at that point yet that I didnt want that $36 part. At that time I was still going to suck it up, and pay for it since I ordered it even though it was 4 times the cost. He was still very nice about everything. Then at the end, he said I should order it online, and he said I hope I never see you back in my store again! I was speechless when he told me this. This was the first time in my 38 years that I was told this from anyone. I was planning on buying a go cart for my sons birthday next month too. Now I will respect their wishes, and never set another foot in their store. I am just writing this to make people aware of what happened in my situation. Everyone I have met there has been very nice to me, even when he told me not to ever come back to his store, he said it in a nice calm voice. I have heard good and bad about this place from many people, and after what happened to me today, I will spend my money elsewhere.
Leslies lawn mower repair, Jim is a crook if I ever saw one. I will never use them again. Jim is crooked !!Go next door to the new shop going in! Square shooter !!
Called to inquire about a tube for one of the rear tires on my zero turn mower. I was told they did carry them. I was asked if I had ever installed one before. I informed them - no I hadnt. They said it could be tricky especially if I didnt have the right equipment. They told me it was $15 and they could do it while I waited. Painless experience. Would and have recommended them in the past.
They are simply the BEST!!!!
Went in to buy a new mower was out the door under 30 minutes very friendly people quick and efficient plus they delivered wasnt expecting that my yard usually takes an hour to mow I had it done in 15 minutes.
Excellent...
I love doing business here. I’ve purchased several mowers for my lawn business from here. The staff is great. They are all just good people and a pleasure to talk to. Customer for life.
Before I proceed to mention what this place could do better I should admit one important thing - we brought the mower to get fixed and it was fixed right the very first time and the staff was friendly and polite. So if getting your equipment fixed with the smile is the only thing youre looking for this is the place to go. Now to the other parts of the experience:- Communications: when the mower was brought for service we were told someone would call us back within two weeks to provide a repair estimate. 2.5 weeks later having heard nothing from the store I called back myself. After the paperwork was found the lady claimed that we hadnt provided our phone number and that was the reason why Leslies hadnt call back. Anyway, I approved the repairs quoted $90.00 + tax and was told they would be completed the next day. Next day at 4:55 pm I had to call back by myself to find out the mower was ready to get picked up but the place had failed to call me back to inform about that. When I came to pick it up it had a large tag with my and my wifes phone numbers attached to it (back to the claim they didnt call us back due to not having our phone number)- Billing: the bill ended up at $102+tax with nobody able to explain the $12 increase from the 24-hr old quote. When I inquired what charges were for the explanation was that the original problem was fixed + the engine was cleaned + mower refueled + sharpened the blades. Upon the visual inspection of the mower (1) the blades didnt look like they were touched at all - leave alone sharpened (2) the gas tank was 10%-15% full - and the charge was $4.95. When I brought the later concern to the stores staff I was politely told that it was their standard practice to refuel just enough to test the engine starting and they had put a high quality fuel.
They have never let me down for my small engine parts !
Ive owned a 90s Coleman Briggs and Stratton generator for years and its just been sitting for so long. Finally dug it out, took it apart, got it running, and couldnt figure out how to put the links and Governor back together so I dropped it off at Leslies spoke to Richard and he got me all fixed up. Picked it up a week later. Runs great! Its up and running fully operational been using it quite regularly couldnt be happier definitely will be a return customer.
Good quick service ..
Good folks. Ive enjoyed doing business with Richard and Heather for a several years now.
These people are stellar . They couldn’t have done more . They treated us like family and even had pick up and delivery service for our zero turn lawn mower from our town 30 miles away. The service was excellent in every way !
About a year ago I called to check on purchasing a lawn mower. I heard bad things about this place but decided to try my luck. It seemed as though I was wasting his time so I bought from another dealer. I call to ask a simple question about what oil filter I need to use for my lawn mower. I ask which filter I need and he tells me he has some. OK... I need one and I am 45 mins away. I dont need an overpriced one from you. I ask for the part number and to show how helpful he is he tells me they dont give out part numbers. Dont buy here, dont service here, dont call here. You are a waste of their time. Yes I know, it is your policy, and I know from your I dont give a crap voice, you dont care. This post isnt for you, it is for your potential customers.
LOVE the customer service and personal care!I needed a chainsaw blade sharpened. I had to travel fourty-five minutes because I live so far away. I didnt make it in time- but they waited for me. Great guys - very nice!!! Wouldnt go anywhere else now!
The owner I feel they went out of there way to help me with my purchase.
I would now buy from here. Where Warrant is no good. They have good customer service to sell. After you buy it there really is no Warrant. Every time when you have a problem with lawn mower or weed eater they always come back saying you messed it up and warrant will not fixes it. Just remember if you buy from here after you read this it your problem. I would not even give them one star but you have to something for sell service.
Super nice people! They got my mower running again and it hasnt stopped.
I have bought many different pieces of equipment from them over the years and they have always been great to deal with . I highly recommend these folks !!
I had a great experience with Leslies Outdoor Power Equipment. They repaired my Toro mower in record time and it is running great. My evaluation: Great service, great staff and next time I need a lawn mower repair or a tune-up, I will be back.
I cant say enough good things about this company. I have purchased a zero turn mower and two blowers from them and they have been nothing but nice and easy to deal with during all transactions. They explained all of the features on the mower before I purchased answering all questions that I had, and I never felt pressured during the process. I give them an A+.
Thank you to all the good folks at Leslies Outdoor Power of Longview..another great experience & a purchase of equipment.. Such good customer service.. will continue to take my buisness there..
Friendly service, VERY polite, would recommend to friends. (good since of humor 😂)
The entire staff and service here are great!!!
Excellent staff and parts always on hand! I will continue to shop and work with Leslies for all my lawn Care needs. Thanks
Great service and friendly people. We really enjoy doing business with them!
I just had a tube put in our tire on our zero turn mower that we purchased from Leslies a couple years ago. I didnt realize the tire was low on air and while mowing it came off. The mower is great...I was worried about the zero turn but it didnt take any time to learn it and it does an amazing job. I dont know if Leslies still offers it, but at the time we bought ours, we were referred to them from our neighbor and our neighbor received new blades for his mower for sending us to them! So this am I took my grandson with me to get the tire repaired and we were able to wait and enjoy a doughnut and great company visiting with the employees, and Im guessing, the owners there. This is my third time (counting when we purchased) to go there and I have had nothing but great experiences every single time. Even my 7 year old grandson said how nice everyone was (of course, he thought that doughnut was pretty nice, too!) :D In a world where some businesses have become so impersonal, its refreshing to go somewhere and feel welcomed and to have that home town feeling. I can not recommend this company enough!
Always great service and staff.
A fantastic family owned business with HUGE inventory!Very friendly!
We bought a go-cart from Leslies last year. We dropped it off to have it worked on. We drove to Longview, which is about 1 hour away from our house. We were in my mother in laws truck, when the brakes went out. The good folks at Meineke got us back on the road, but it was it was late in the day and closing time for Leslies. We called and talked to the the nice young lady at Leslies and explained to her our situation. They were closing and they were going to her daughters band performance. We told her that we would come back another time to pick up the go-cart, because family is important. She told me she would wait and insisted that we come right away to pick up the go-cart. We drove over to pick it up and even though they were pressed for time to make the band performance they were patient with us and in a cheerful mood. It reminded me of when my dad had his business and the long hours he put in and after business hours.....I know because I was there with him on some occasions. Oh, and the go-cart, well its running good and my kids were able to enjoy riding their go-cart all weekend. Thank you Leslies !Ps. I will be glad to see Jam return back to work. He is an employee at Leslies and a good man. He recently had knee surgery. I pray for his speedy recovery.
In and out quick and they have the parts i needed to get my lawnmower up and running. The landscaping company I work for uses them as well
Great customer service, great business to deal with. Has helped me out many times with stuff also bought a zero turn from them will do business with again.
Richard and his employees always give great service, they do go the extra mile. Thanks crew.Sincerely, Clayton Burroughs.
Great customer service
A wonderful experience, professional and knowledgeable, and I love my new mower!
I have read these reviews and as I recall my dealings in store; I cant help but to think there are allot of folks that expect to get service and parts for near nothing....lol.....This is a business. All businesses are in business to make money. If you expect cheap parts get them online. If you expect to get work done for cheap, do it yourself or find a small engine repair place on craigslist.I have used Leslies services since they were set up in Gilmer..Why?Because I trust their work and dont expect to get things done for cheap or free. I have always been treated with dignity and respect. I cant say the same for some customers I have seen acting a fool in the store. One lady was throwing a fit and disrespecting the employees in the store to a point I came close to jumping in and telling her to leave. She had her husband and child with her. Her husband did nothing. She was yelling and screaming about a lawn mower repair that was going to be roughly $100. Her language was ridiculous and abusive. The folks behind the counter tried to explain to her and show her on the ticket everything that was done to her mower. They remained professional and courteous; even though she was verbally shredding them. I bought a zero turn mower from them 4 years ago. It is the best mower I have ever owned. Leslies services it for me every year. Is it cheap?..no, but I know when I take it in they are going to go through it with a fine tooth comb and fix everything that needs repaired and replaced. I bought a Husqvarna chainsaw from them almost 20 years ago. Yes it still works and does a great job. From time to time I take it in for service and repairs. Is it cheap?..no, but when it leaves the shop it works just fine until the next time I take it in. The folks at Leslies are first and foremost always professional and respectful. The work I have had done over the years has always been thorough. If I wanted cheap I would find another place to have work done. Oh, ya I did, and the results were I got my moneys worth, and ended up back at Leslies to have the same work done right. In closing; if you want cheap or free, do it yourself or find a place that does work for cheap. If you expect professional service, OEM parts and treated with dignity and respect use Leslies.
Honest people who do business how it suppose to be done. Christian family owned business
Great group of people who are very helpful.
I highly recommend that you take your lawn mower anywhere else. They were very friendly when I bought the mower last May and the lady was very nice. My feelings of Leslie’s changed when I had a manufacture defect and had to take my mower into the shop to get a repair kit fixed on my deck for the 2nd time. The first time was last July, they made the correction and called and told me my mower was ready and while loading it I noticed the belt was frayed, I pointed it out and Richard said they installed the wrong belt and they would install the correct belt. I question how their mechanic didn’t notice the belt he just installed was frayed. Unfortunately, I had to bring it back for the same failure on May 4th 2015. When I dropped it off this time I heard Richard complaining that he is tired of “customers wanting work done for free”, I thought nothing of it bc I was covered by my manufacture warranty. Richard told me he just needed to adjust the idler/pulley arm and that would correct the problem(this is common failure with the Snapper 42in), so I said ok let me know when THAT’s done. I called and checked on the status and was told my mower was ready. When I arrived I was told I owed $38 and it needed new blades (seems to be common repair/”upcharge” there). I asked if it was common to replace blades on a mower less than a year old he said some people do. I asked why they did not call to get my Authorization to replace them and he said “they are to busy to call every customer and they make repairs that are necessary, he would show me my old blades” (bc they don’t have a million blades laying around that might be mine might not) I said “that’s ok, I don’t appreciate them not notifying me when I called”. He said he would replace the blades with my “originals” and he said “he was tired of customers wanting a hand out and work done for free”. I was tired of being accused of being cheap so I raised my voice saying “I don’t want $%@$ for free” I just wanted an explanation of why they didn’t call to get permission. Once agian I tried to explain I will pay for the blades but I didn’t appreciate them not calling and asking, it could have ended there by him saying “I’m sorry we didn’t call” but instead he continued with accusing me of wanting something for free. My checking account is not open for them to do repairs without my permission. I never gave him permission to make Unauthorized/any repairs other than repairing my deck for the 2nd time, so I paid the $38 bc “I didn’t want anything done for free or a hand out” just a little customer service and the warrantable failure repaired. So if you are like me and like to manage your own money, I would recommend finding a different repair shop. I brought the mower in for warranty repair that should be free and if the blades needed to be changed due to “safety” Richard should get authorization from his(ex) customer to do so.
