Very filthy. So filthy in fact there is an overwhelming stench in the break room from not being cleaned. Trash every where. The shop never was cleaned or sanitized unless I did it. I was a stylist not a maid to clean up after other grown people. Seems like a nice place, but after working there a while, I realized how discriminatory the owner was. My Mom and I were treated unfairly in multiple ways that effected our bottom line so much we lost our cars. Our clients safety was not a concern for the owner. Most of our clients were older. Some in wheel chairs and walkers. There would be trash, toys, and other items in the way when our clients would try to walk to the dryer or shampoo chair from the station. The restroom had nothing for them to hold on to help them get up. The dryer area was like a trash pile and catch all where our clients had to go under the dryer. The shampoo chair was supposed to be replaced because it was broke. The owner was told several times our clients get dizzy and can not get in and out of the broke shampoo chair. Nothing was done. We brought a lot of business, but when I finally gave up and left not one client was told how to find me at Studio M Salon 3638 Gilmer Rd. I did not appreciate my Mom being made promises by the owner to make necessary changes for her clients before she chose to over there, then it never happened. This caused my Mom to loose over 80% of her clientele. The other percent the owner regularly tried to get as her own clients. My Mom and I were treated very badly in many ways for reason of our own. We brought marketing, clients, fantastic customer service, and I cleaned every day the entire shop just for our clients. In return, we were treated like a piece of trash on the way. Many of the things the owner did effected our income drastically, but more than that, it effect our stress level which in turn effected our health. I really did not appreciate the way my Mom has been treated.

Josie is amazing! Took my daughter for a haircut and had to go back and see her again to have her cut mine days later. Super sweet and friendly. Great prices for a salon too!

Not happy with this place. The ladies get in too big of a hurry to get you in and out. My hair was half way down my back. I ask for a trim and layers to be put in. When the lady was through with my hair, I had a jacked up mess. Parts of my hair was long and parts was to the shoulders. But she said I had layers. It was really horrendous.

Me and all my friends always use Kim. She is a professional barber. I’ve been to all the famous shops in The state and Kim is hands down the best barber in Texas She always goes the extra mile ! Five stars

Absolutely the worst service and hair cut ever. Cut my kids ear and didnt tell me. Had lines all over and had to go somewhere else to have it fixed. The person who cut his hair made excuses and didnt apologize and then tried blaming my kids ear bleeding on him. No class. They did refund our money though.
