We broke down 20 miles north of longview, they evaluated my car the following morning and determined engine was blown. They made sure we were situated for the nite and assisted with locating a rental. They allowed us to leave our vehicle for a week while checking on warranty. When warranty failed they assisted in locating a salvage compqny after swapping tires on to our new vehicle. Melissa and the owners were all very helpful as we worked through the process and kept all cost as low as possible. We wish we had them for our mechanics at home
Only dealt with them over the phone but they seem very professional and nice. Fix my air conditioning
This place according to me is the best shop to go to for your money
Not impressed at all with being taken advantage of financialy. I bought 6 plugs and wires myself and was charged 200.00 in labor to unscrew 6 plugs and screw 6 in, and clip the wires on. Even at 50.00 a hour there is no realistic way it had taken 4 hours to do this. Never again and very disappointed but lesson learned.
I have no complaint about their work. It’s done well and has a great nationwide warranty. They have always been friendly. My beef with them is their pricing. The work process seem high and the parts are always expensive. I took my vehicle in for a repair. Before I went, I watched the procedure on three different YouTube videos. The repair took from between 10 minutes to 20 minutes. The video stated that It was showing an alternative way to do the repair, one that cut hours off the repair time. This shop refused to do it that way and insisted that since the repair guide quoted the longer, more expensive way, that is what they would charge. A difference of over $300. I went down the road to another facility and had them do the repair. They knew about the quicker way and did it that way.
We have them work on both our cars for both routine maintenance and problems. Theyre professional, efficient and charge reasonable rates. Highly recommend!
We have used Northwest Auto for our vehicles for over 20 years. We have always felt they have been professional and fair with our vehicles. TheIr prices are reasonable and they are honest. Their customer service is also wonderful. This last visit we took in one of our older cars that was having some issues and we were hoping to get the car done in time for our son to take a trip. They overnighted the necessary parts and had our car back to us in record time. We really appreciate their efforts to accommodate our needs, not just this time, but for all their years caring for our vehicles. Highly recommend using Northwest Auto
They talked me into putting a rebuilt motor into my toyota Tacoma. It was machined below specks. Double gaskets. Had two shims in it. All this for only 6000. Very digo eat people. Dont go there
Awesome shop. Friendly and fare priced. I recommend them to all my friends and family. Very knowledgable staff.
The best for vehicle repairs in the whole area! And Kevin keeps you company while you wait 😃
Friendly, professional completed in a timely manner. I drive 20 miles to ensure my vehicles are properly serviced. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
Northwest Automotive Specialists are fantastic! I had to have a really intensive repair done to my Ford when it spit two spark plugs out of the cylinder head. They were experienced with the repair process and performed it perfectly one time and on budget. Terry is highly knowledgeable and friendly. A wonderful shop to trust your vehicle with!
Professional Automotive enthusiasts love what they do.
Clean and great place to get any repairs done. Quality work and even better pricing!
If you havent tried Northwest Auto Specialist, you really owe it to yourself to do so. It is owned & operated by an honest, hard working husband & wife team who believe in good old fashioned customer service. Knowledgeable, trustworthy people doing top notch, quality work for reasonable prices makes this the only place Ill go. I also appreciate that its a clean place with a comfortable waiting area. If you want good, reliable repair work done on your vehicle, this is the place to go. Its a five star operation all the way.
Imant and Terry run a trustworthy, family business and I would only take my car here. I know that they wont charge me unfairly and they always get the job done right and in a timely manner. Plus they have shop dogs that will keep you company while you wait! :)
Good quality work. Both diagnosing and repairing!
I have had both vehicles I have owned for the past 15 years maintained at Northwest Auto Specialist. They have always gotten me in promptly, done a full, honest diagnosis and well as worked with me and my budget...detailing what was pressing and what I could save for a future repair. The price has always been competitive if not the best around. I couldnt ask for better service and will continue to take all my vehicles there! Thanks guys!!!
Great quality, value and service. Terry always greets up with a smile and a solution! She goes the extra mile and it is so appreciated. We trust their work, and would not go anywhere else. Thanks guys!
I was just passing through the area when I encountered an issue with my RV, so I don’t have any long term reference to share. I do know they worked me into an already busy schedule on short notice for which I am greatly appreciative.Based on my initial experience, I would give NAS the opportunity to gain my long term devotion if I lived in the area. All of the Staff were friendly and the Technicians resolved my problem in a timely manner and at a fair price.Keep up the good work and thanks again for your service.
Super service, all my questions answered, price of work was more than fair. I like to be able to support a longtime local business that has a reputation for quality work and no upsell tactics.
Went in to fix a problem that another well known company did not. They did a great job in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Been going back since. Great company.
The service was fast and the price was affordable. I had a great experience at Northwest Auto Specialist. Anytime my car is having issues, this is where I want to go.
Replaced the transmission in my Subaru. Could not have been nicer and the price was reasonable. And they did it from long distance. If I lived in Longview I would have them do all my car repair work.
Called in and asked if I could get an estimate, sure no problem. Got the estimate back and after talking to other mechanics it was insanely high. I said, no thanks Ill pass. Went to pick the car up, only to be handed a $105 bill for the estimate. Thanks for nothing.
We recently broke down outside of Longview coming home from vacation. While waiting for the tow truck on I-5 I spoke with the owners wife who was very calming and reassuring. Once we got to their (very clean and air conditioned) shop the courteous, great customer service continued. We needed a pretty in-depth repair, but we were on our way the next morning with a two year parts guarantee. We have a very trusted mechanic in our hometown, but if we were ever to move to Longview we definitely would take our vehicles to Northwest Auto Specialist, Inc. AAA+++++ Thanks all!!!
They work around my busy schedule and take care of every vehicle in my personal and business. These people are amazing! Highly recommended!Charlton Enterprises LLC
Best auto repair in town!! Fair prices, fast service.
These guys are awesome, so if you want your vehicle worked on by professionals and done rite without getting ripped off then look no further and call Northwest Auto Specialist for complete customer and service satisfaction! Thank you again Terry for making me so happy again now that my truck runs rite!
I didnt like a thing about this place. I didnt like their attitude. Had a vehicle towed in for repair. $2000 later had to have it towed home with a ruined motor which will now cost $10,000 to repair. They dont know how to repair certain cars. They dont guarantee their work.I would stay clear of this place.
Best service Ive ever had!!! Never brought in a problem they couldnt fix, and its always worked with my wallet!!! Never take my vehicles anywhere else!
Took my 99 VW Jetta there to have oil pan replaced. They called me asking if they could also replace the valve cover gasket - I said yes. 2 weeks later the oil level was very low, so I took I took it back. They said it was probably because it was a new oil pan. Mustve thought I was born yesterday. I used to be a mechanic. That same day I drove home to California. Checked the oil and it was very low again. Took it to my usual tried and trusted auto shop. They found the new valve cover gasket was still leaking and 2 bolts had been broken off the oil pan.Contacted Northwest and was told they didnt break the bolts. They didnt even mention the leaking gasket. I guess the bolts mustve sheared off all by themselves somewhere on HWY 80.At least they were fast to do their work. $775.00, approx, was exceptionally expensive also.
I originally made an appointment with Little Car Hospital to have my motorhome transmission serviced and replace a rear seal. They have been honest in all their repairs and are close to my home but they couldnt fit my RV inside for repairs. They referred me to NWASpecialists and said they were also good people. Turns out, my wife had used them in the past as well and recommended them. My Son in Law also trusts them with his vehicles and he is in the industry! So, even with a last minute phone call, NWAS got me in within two days and finished the job in the SAME day!! When I called, the woman at the front desk impressed me as being knowledgeable and was very friendly. The work was done quickly and under the cost I expected. The mechanic took time afterwards to report what he found (or better, did NOT find) after pulling the pan etc. I will definitely keep NWAS in my mind when I farm out a repair. Thanks!!
Friendly, professional service. Fair prices. :)
Great shop to get your vehicle repaired.
Called and asked for a quote on my 55 and they said its to old to be worked on...definitely not auto specialist.
I take all my vehicles to them, great service and honest, I wont take my rigs any place else.
Great service and top quality work - Thank you for all the years youve kept my cars on the road.
Great people! Worked on my sprinter van.
Friendly and honest! Theyre amazing!
NWAS, INC. replaced my entire cooling system in 2015. My water pump is now leaking and already needs replaced and they would not back it up. They said we would have to pay full price to have it replaced again. I would never use them again.
Theyre Great!!! Knowledgeable, trustworthy, decently priced and stand behind their work!! wont go anywhere else now!!!
The prices are great and the work is EXCELLENT! NW Auto is the only place we take our vehicles.
Bought a used 2000 Buick Lesabre Custom from an estate. Very clean and nice riding automobile. SES light on, tachometer fluctuating, and intermittent and persistent misfire . Threw parts at it per codes; spark plugs/wires, coil packs, ICM, crank sensor, fuel pressure regulator, ECM, the list goes on. Referred by a friend to Northwest Auto Specialist Inc., He informed me that they are the best. He was correct. They found the issue that two other repair shops couldnt. To say that I am overjoyed with EVERYTHING about their service is an understatement. All of you backyard mechanics like myself who run into a brick wall, take your problem to Northwest Auto Specialist Inc. Their service, in my opinion, cannot be equaled. And their prices are great too. They most certainly ARE the best.
When my car has any sort of a problem I take it to my dad, toss him the keys and say fix it!. Then I run out of his house and take one of his cars before he can stop me. Whenever I return to my parents house my car is running like new (or as often as not better). What is my dads secret? Is he a master mechanic? a magician? No. He calls up Terry at Northwest Auto Specialist, makes an appointment and takes the car there. They do great work at reasonable prices with a quick turn around time (I am not making this up) As a bonus Terry is the nicest person in the Longview-Kelso area. There is a reason all of these reviewers say Excellent. These people know cars. Thanks NAS!
They did a great job on my 2010 camry i was only down for the day.
“WRONG DIAGNOSIS, & RUDE”I have a 2003 VW Jetta TDI which starts to shake a bit under load around 25 to 38 MPH. Dick Hanna Dealership said that the drive axles needed replacement since they had some play and they (THE DEALERSHIP) would stand behind their Diagnosis. Since I live so far away I took the car to North West Auto Specialist’s. They are in Longview were I live, closer and also were a bit cheaper. Told Terri the issue and diagnosis from the dealership. Asked her if they stand behind their Diagnosis, she said they do.Terri calls me back and says it was possibly something else. So being a trusting person I said ok but what if its not that. Terri was quite confident it was the issue and said it was a CHEAPER FIX. So they replaced the part and it still has the Shake. So when I went to pick up the car today, 1 April 2016 I told her I was disappointed, she offered to remove the part. Since it’s the weekend and I need my car for WORK, I opted to just take it and go back to the dealership. At least I can semi-trust them.NW Auto could have at least not charged me for labor, (BAD DIAGNOSIS) I would have paid for the part, but Terri got real SNIPPY with me and I didnt want to argue with her. Also I dont think they will stand behind their diagnosis. Their labor rate is $90.00 per hour.Just be careful with this company, they might diagnosis one thing and it ends up being another, and you might get over charged with these folks. Id recommend taking a foreign car to a dealership or a foreign car specialist and stay away from North West Auto Specialists.
Fixed our 🚗 at minimal cost. Friendly staff/owners.
Quality workmanship
Its a dump, plagued with black mold.
I was treated fairly and courteously and they got my problem solved promptly.
Knowledgeable staff.
Lady who answered the phone was rude and abrasive to the point I decided right there that business was not getting my money!!!
Terrible.
