Don’t waste your money on their extensions! This is the WORST experience I have had with extensions. They don’t know what they are doing there and they don’t care if they ruined your hair! Not only is the hair bad quality they don’t install them correctly. I went in for a consultation the stylist didn’t ask before she ordered the hair what color I wanted to do my hair so when my appointment came it was supposed to match what I originally had since apparently it was too late to get my hair the way I wanted, however it didn’t even match my existing hair color. She noticed it too and didn’t even offer to fix the color. So with unmatched hair color you could clearly see it was fake. While she installed them I asked about the cut style but when it came to cutting my hair she just did whatever she wanted. Also when she placed the extensions the placement is completely uneven they sit more forward on the left side. There are extra beads and thread hanging from the extensions. I am so upset with their service and the extensions are very expensive. I wish someone would have told me how bad they are here because I would have gone somewhere else if I knew how my hair was going to turn out. There are other salons that will do extensions right so please don’t waste your time here!

I take my sister here, Brandon is her stylist. He is so friendly and huggable. The gals that answer the phones go beyond good customer service. They try to meet your needs and times in everyway. Just love this place, plus they make a shampoo that is better than any store brand. Keep up the good work!!

I’ve been going to Jill Larson at Studio Boom for more than 18 years, and she is wonderful.First, I have horrible hair. It’s thinning with some gray and a few cowlicks. It’s straight most of the time but can sometimes crimp up into tight corkscrews. I rarely have any ideas about how I want my hair styled beyond a vague statement that it may be too long or too short or that the color is too dark or light.Somehow Jill listens and manages to interpret what I want and always has ideas. She is kind and thoughtful, and I consider her a friend as well as a talented hairdresser. I heartily recommend her.

If you are looking for a stylist go to Katy! I went from very dark brown to platinum blonde in a few sessions with her, she is so careful and attentive with the process. Not only did she listen to what I wanted, she also made sure my hair was healthy after the process. I guarantee she will take great care of you and do a beautiful job. This is a great salon and Katy is the best for whatever you are looking for!

First off.. I am not the one to complain but this is just WRONG!! I went in and asked for a bayalage... and this is what I came out with... I REGRET spending over 600 dollars on my hair in this place. They have a stylist that is listed as a level 5 bayalage specialist... which is a lie!! My hair with the maroon shirt on was my first time and I asked for a bayalage.... this isnt a bayalage!! I gave the hair stylist Kat another chance and I made sure that I asked for specific things and worded it a little different so she knew what I was talking about... and NOPE!! I GOT THIS (the other two pictures) choppy, unblended and spotty hair. The owner, Annie, I dont think she really cared because she didnt want to give me a refund and I know Ill never get a refund from them. Obviously shes going to pick her stylist side. Kat told Annie, supposedly, that it was going to take a few sessions to get it to the color I wanted, I understand that, trust me! But the issue I had a problem with was the way it turned out.. choppy, not blended and spotty. Please! Please if you go here, please please please make sure your stylist knows what she/he is doing!! You will never get a refund. They offered to fix it but Im sure they would f it up more. Never ever ever going back.

I went to Hope and she blew my expectations out of the water! I showed her two pictures that I liked and she nailed it. Not only did she make my dream hair come true she custom colored my 22 extensions to match. I now have SEAMLESS beautiful long hair. Hope is your girl for your hair needs, she not only is passionate about her job she truly cares about what her clients hair goals are!

I have had an amazing experience every time I’ve gone! Making an appointment online is simple. The first person I chatted with was Taylor at the front desk. She is so sweet and extremely helpful! She recommended a hair care product that I absolutely love. She made check in and checkout easy and had fun talking with her.Craig was recommended to me for my haircut. He works well with curls. Later in life my hair had a bunch of curls and I didn’t know what to do with them. Craig cut and styled my hair so cute! It has been easy to just let my curls be with some product because of the cut he gives me. Craig is meticulous and thoughtful. He wants me to walk away happy with my cut. I look forward to going in every time and I’m thankful that he was recommended!

Katy Jaquez rocks!!! I moved to colorado in 2017 after living in LA where I had the same hairdresser for 15 years. I have thick/coarse hair, soI need a stylist who isn’t afraid to cut (a lot) of hair!!! I tried a dozen stylists once I moved to colorado. It wasn’t until I met Katy in winter 2021 that I was actually happy with my haircut!! She has good intuition and I completely trust her with my hair!!! I recently had Katy do a bayalage on my dark hair- it turned out beautiful and was just the change I needed!! Bottom line- I’m picky and have high standards for hair- Katy is an A+!!! I can’t wait to schedule my next appointment with her!

I have been coming to Studio Boom for a few years now and while most of the artists that I have used are fantastic, Lindsay is hands down the best! She has so much pride in her work and really makes sure the experience is something she would expect if she was in the chair. Every time she has listened to my crazy hair ideas and perfected it. She is a master at HEVN extensions and Balayage and making sure it all matches like a dream. And to top it all off, she is a blast and really makes a 4 hour appt (sometimes) go by in a flash!

I went here to get my hair colored a few months ago, asking for a light pink. When they were finished, my hair was almost an orange color, nothing what i had asked for. Today, my sister went in to get her hair styled for prom, the guy messed it completely, giving her extreme stress. The place looks neat, professional and clean but overall, the service is terrible. The stylists there are not professional at all.

I didnt go here to get my hair done, but I did make an appointment to get my nails done. Lindsay did an excellent job. She was a great communicator and I think we had fun making jokes and just talking about life. She was awesome! Front desk staff leaves something to be desired. The girl that was there yesterday evening looked like she was having a bad day or something - not communicative or social at all, and just looked like she didnt want to be there. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it sort of took away from the experience right off the bat. Its a really nice place, and newly remodeled according to Lindsay. I look forward to working with her again in the future!

Fantastic first hair cut after 9 months from Hope! She nailed my need to cut off the dead ends but maintaining the length. Very inexpensive haircut includes a wash, scalp massage, cut, blowout and curl! I enjoyed how easy it was to book a same day appointment on the app. The studio is spacious, well ventilated, everyone wearing masks properly, and maintaining distance (other than the hairstylist). Will definitely be back sooner than another 9 months!

Craig Niessink is a true artist! Everytime he cuts my hair he listens to what I want and cuts MY hair, not just the cut I am asking for. He works with my texture, crazy cowlicks, etc. and makes it look incredible! I moved to Longmont about a year ago and am so happy I found Craig!

I went to my appointment a few minutes early and walked right in and what I saw made me decide to leave. There was no social distancing, the salon had people who were not clients contrary to their stated rules and several people with masks not on properly. I did not feel safe and left.

Sahara was so mean. I requested her for my second time because the first time she did an amazing job. I just wanted a blonde balayage and she gave me messed up highlights and a “money piece” I asked her not to do. She didn’t care about my hair at all this time. I went back and asked her to fix it. I am very nice, and felt embarrassed going back. She gave me what I wanted but charged me full price!!!! And didn’t tell me until I had to pay!! Studio boom cares about their employees but not their clients! 🥺🥺🥺

The first stylist I saw extremely over processed the back section of my hair. It looked incredibly strange and is now damaged (and cost $140). The pictures speak volumes. I was very thankful that the salon offered to fix it for free.The stylist that fixed it is very talented and mitigated this hair disaster!Overall, I am writing this as a message to this salon to educate their stylists to avoid issues like this in the future.And to consumers, do your research before making the same mistakes as me.

I have probably spent 6 years rotating through stylists trying to find someone I trust and genuinely like that knows what to do with all of my hair (and I have a lot, it is extremely thick and very long) what they do with my hair and Ashley is by far the best. She does exactly what I ask for and her thinning is by far the best! Every time I get my haircut by her I leave extremely happy and my hair is light, gorgeous, and silky smooth. After a long awaited appointment, Brandon did such a great job on coloring my hair bright colors like I wanted. He did better than I could have ever dreamt! Not only is he a wonderful stylist, but he is also very nice and definitely made sure that I felt at home during the entire 4 hours I was there.The salon itself has such a welcoming feel and everyone was so nice. Really disappointed in my service. I picked this salon because of all the great reviews. Went in for a blowout and a bang trim and was put with Logan. I saw him pull the hair out of the brush from the previous client but failed to clean it before using it on my hair. The blowout was flat even though I requested lots of volume. The worst part was my bang trim. I had been growing them out and asked for a quarter inch off. They’re now extremely short and choppy and just look terrible. I was so embarrassed I just paid and left. :(

I have been seeing him every few months ever since and always walk away happy!! Getting my haircut with Brandon is fun and easy and he always has great suggestions and ideas when Im looking to try something new. Studio Boom is a really nice space, modern, open, and bright. You can tell everyone enjoys working there, its a great place to visit. And reasonably priced. Thanks Brandon youre the best!

Worst hair extensions ever!

Brandon is not only the best stylist ive had in my life (im almost 36) but he also gives the best suggestions for SUP and restaurants nearby while singing Moana. Love this salon.

I have been here for haircuts and my daughters get their highlights here and they were even able to correct a REALLY BAD self-highlight job on my daughter (think cheetah colors) and made her hair BEAUTIFUL!! However, I have been looking for someone to do a modern perm (they ARE making a modern comeback-beachy waves anyone?) and when I inquired, I was told that since perms are no longer taught in school and are rarely requested, they do not offer them. Well, researching perms online reveals that they ARE becoming big again and I would strongly suggest someone at this fab salon gets on board, I want those beachy waves!!!!

I have been going here for awhile and I used to love my hair! But the past two times I have gone, I have not loved my hair and rather I just wasted my money. I know the amazing things my hair has been through before but after my appointment tonight and being there FOUR hours, I do not like my hair, it looks like it did before I went in.

Hope cannot cut short hair. I showed her a cut I knew she could do with my hair and she basically gave me a boys cut.

I had gotten my hair cut a few years back at this salon, and remembered why I never went back after the hair cut I got. I asked for a simple trim. Trim my layers and bangs. I was supposedly seen by a top tier stylist. My ends were uneven and choppy. My bangs did not blend in with the rest of hair and were not at all what I asked for. To top it all off it was $50, so I felt like that it was way overpriced for just a trim.

I had such an amazing experience at Studio Boom. I hadnt had my hair done in a long time and was ready for a change. My stylist was Sahara and she was AMAZING! So sweet, talented and easy to talk to! I had asked for something kind of tricky (darkening my base color and adding in blonde highlights and completely getting rid of my natural color) and Sahara made it look better than I ever imagined. I loved how she broke down the pricing before starting anything and gave me tons of options! All of the stylists seemed so sweet and really helped each other out and gave great opinions and the girls in the reception area were super helpful and so nice. I have already made a follow-up appointment for December and cant wait! I have finally found an amazing salon that I love ❤️

The stylists at Studio Boom are awesome!! I’ve seen several stylists there before I found Bonnie and they’re all great. Bonnie is my personal favorite because she takes the time to listen to what I want and makes sure that I leave satisfied with my ‘do. If I’m struggling with what I want, she offers advice to help me decide. I definitely recommend any of the stylists at Studio Boom but Bonnie is my favorite.

When I first stepped in the salon it was very welcoming. Today I had my hair done by an amazing lady Joy and some other guy they were fantastic. It was my time here and they left my hair looking spectacular!!!! I will be coming here again. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Okay, so I dye my hair a LOT. I can do it at home, I dont need to pay an arm and a leg to have someone else do it. And make no mistake, Studio Boom costs an arm and a leg. But they are easily worth TWICE what they charge.My first time there, I brought an old picture of myself to show the color I wanted - a startling, neon red. My stylist, Felicia, in the middle of greeting me, snatched the photo from my hands and with an enormous grin said, PLEASE tell me this is what were doing today. When it turned out I had rather more hair than she anticipated, and the process would take more time than we had blocked out, she scrambled several other stylists to help with portions of the process and get it done in record time. I think we can get this done in an hour, she said, But even if it takes longer were going to finish. I just dont want you to walk away from doing this! Im so excited!Its wonderful to interact with people who genuinely love their jobs, and the women at Studio Boom are the happiest hairstylists Ive ever seen. They are DELIGHTED to help you, delighted to make suggestions and put in extra effort on a fun idea. Their work is unspeakably gorgeous and long-lasting - I turn heads for weeks after I leave, and it actually saves me money in the long run because I dont have to touch it up at home as often. And of course, because stylists talk (or maybe people just talk to stylists?), they remember me now, and ask me about my life.I cant afford to go more than twice a year usually, but I had them do my hair for my wedding and will keep going as long as I live within a days drive, because Studio Boom is amazing.

I got a haircut done by Brandi. She did an amazing job!! Finally a stylist that can translate my ideas into reality!! The salon has a pricing structure to fit everyones needs and they were all very welcoming. Thanks again Brandi!!

Craig is great. My color and cut was awesome. New to Colorado and totally happy with my experience at this salon. A+
