This was the first time Ive tried Welzig, and it was a great experience. In the middle of a heat wave, they came to fix my AC, even though I wasnt an existing customer. The tech, Bob Chrisley, was wonderful. He explained everything in detail, showed me pictures of the problem, and fixed it in no time. Ill definitely be using Welzig again.
Bob came out to my house when our heater stopped working at 10 pm at night. He was cheerful despite the late hour and it was immediately obvious he knew what he was doing. He got our heat working but predicted it might not last the night due to a problem with a part. (Nothing dangerous) He promised to come back the next day. As predicted, the heat lasted a few hours and then stopped. The next day Bob was back and at work. It took several hours and replacing one part led to replacing another, but he got us back in business and the system has performed flawlessly since then. Great guy, great company and I will only use them in the future!
While the service was prompt and professional, its very unfortunate that Welzig has decided to charge an exorbitant amount for R22 coolant. On eBay it ranges from $25-35 per pound. I was charged $150-200 per pound. The tech made sure to justify the cost by bringing up the scarcity of R22, which was not exactly honest. Paid almost $800 for what took the technician literally 5 minutes to do. I know we all know need to make a buck, but damn Welzig! That is straight up robbery. I highly recommend people go elsewhere for hvac help.

Michael H. came out last Friday and did a great job talking us through our HVAC/Heating system (we bought the house in May 20 and Welzig installed the system for the previous owner.) He was helpful and professional. The whole process from booking to having him come out was super easy and well use them again in the future!
I was having a new sidearm added to a boiler heating system. When the crew arrived, I let them know that something was wrong with the boiler. One of the installers found the problem so it was able to be fixed. They also sent a technician who was able to suggest a plan to protect the boiler from further problems. I appreciate that a customer is viewed as important no matter the issue. Bob, Saul and Carey did a great job!
Again, Welzigs pros saved our day. This time Jake sorted out what went wrong with our furnace, fixed it, and made several reasonable recommendations to go forward. Today is the 10th day of enjoying our new Bryant HVAC system that Welzig Heating and Air recommended and installed. The system is definetly quiet and the temperture in our home is perfect. The wi-fi thermostat feature is very user friendly and the increased efficiency in the system will definitely be appreciated in the near future.Every step in the process from the initial discussions, to the purchase options, to the installation of the system was top notch. Our very old hydronic boiler system stopped working on a cold weekend so we called Welzig for service. At the time we were quoted for a $104 service/diagnostic visit which I thought was totally fair. We requested that the tech bring out space heaters since it was later in the day and we did not expect him to be able to fix it that day.The tech showed up and was professional, although he basically looked at the system and said he would not be able to fix it. He had not brought space heaters with him, but said he could go back to the shop (about a 30 minute round trip) for $120 additional. He also informed us that he would need a $350 deposit on the heaters which we would have gotten mostly refunded.I called the dispatch service after he left and told him not to bring the heaters and to have the manager call me. I received a call the following day and said there had been a misunderstanding and we would only be charged $104. Not great so far, but I thought fair enough.I then asked them to give me a quote on a new system. Mr Welzig came out a couple days later and we received a quote for $17,177. I was shocked, so I went online and priced every component that we were being quoted. The parts came to approximately $3,300. As an example, the biggest ticket item was the new boiler which Welzig quoted at $13,298.The same exact brand and model were found online for $2,199 with next day delivery available.When I called back with this information, I spoke with a tech who told me that he could only quote what he was told to quote by management. So I asked him to have the owner call me and he said he would.I couple hours later, I got a text saying There is no good reason to call you and simply disagree/argue over our prices, I am quite aware of the cost to run a businessI am an engineer and have been in the construction/maintenance business for over 30 years, so I too know what to expect from contractors and what reasonable mark-up is. I feel this was unprofessional and an attempt to take advantage of us because it is cold and I was out of town which forced my wife to have to deal with this issue.
Had our semi-annual maintenance performed by Michael H. He was court and efficient. Didn’t disturb us while he did his job and asked if we had any questions or issues. A pleasure to work with!

I needed to replace my 28 year old system, and had sought bids from several companies in my area. Welzig won for a combo of factors but what really impressed me was their workers. Saul and Vernard were amazing. Our replacement came at one of the hottest parts of the year. They were able to remove the old equipment and get the new equipment installed in the same day but reasonably it wasnt going to be functional until the next day. Saul worked longer that day to ensure that we at least had some AC so we could sleep. He didnt have to, but he did and thats what makes Welzig stand out for me. Ive read a lot of reviews and I noticed that as a theme among the reviews for Welzig: that they care for their customers.

The technician was great and was thorough in his work. However I had a coupon for $89 but when I went to write a check, I was told it is actually $94 (cut $5 off the savings). Nowhere on the coupon, the website special, nor in my telephone conversations, did anyone from Welzig tell me what the real price would be. I understand environmental fees, but they are and should be disclosed. Evidently not at Welzig. A deceptive business practice.

I bought my furnace and humidifier from Welzig and have used their services for the maintenance of that furnace since then. Today is the last time I use Welzig Heating and Air Conditioning for my furnace maintenance! They were late, tried to fudge a reschedule, didnt bring the filters that I asked for and it was over $200! DONE!
We have now used Welzig for pre-season inspection, humidifier upgrade and blower motor repair/upgrade (broke while 8 deg out, we got repaired and upgraded the next day). My experiences have been great and our techs have been great.

My Lennox 3-ton A/C unit installed by Welzig in 2013 worked fine until this July when the cooling became noticeably weak. Tyler M. came out and did a very thorough job analyzing the problem and explaining the issues to me. Turned out my refrigerant (R410-A) was 2 lbs low and my capacitor was marginal. Tyler added refrigerant and a new capacitor kit on the same visit and wow, what a difference in A/C performance. I can practically freeze myself out of the house now, just like new.
We are so grateful for the excellent service that Michael provided. Extremely polite, professional and clearly an expert in his field. Thank you for fixing our air conditioner and getting us set up on a proper maintenance plan.

I installed a new HVAC system (not from Welzig) about a year ago. After 5 service calls from the company who installed the system, I could not get the AC unit to work when we were having a 100 degree heat wave. I finally called Welzig. Tyler came out promptly and fixed the problem. He is a first class guy and a pleasure to work with. He will call you back directly if you have a question. He researched our system to make sure he properly understood how the system worked, and then solved the problem promptly. He even came out on a Sunday. The front office staff is very friendly and a pleasure to work with also. I love this company and highly recommend Tyler!

Had furnace repaired and ultimately replaced. All Techs and office staff were professional and communication was exceptional at all phases of the project. Johnny and Casey were patient in explaining options for replacement. Erick and Kevin removed and replaced the furnace in record time, and left my basement tidier than they found it. David explained the set up and use of the new thermostat in laymans terms that I could easily understand. Chris finished up with a vent clean up. Great team!
My furnace stopped working about a week ago and Winston came out to repair my furnace. Since I had a very old furnace and knowing I didnt have money to purchase a new one he went the extra step to help me out. He got back together with Bill in the office and figured out a way to save me a lot of money. My furnace is now working fine today, as a result of the honesty and integrity of the two of them. I was very pleased, from start to finish, with the customer service I received from Welzig. They are very friendly, professional, and detail-oriented. I received email confirmations of upcoming appointments with a name and picture of who would be coming to my home (which I really appreciated for safety reasons). Casey was wonderful to work with in explaining what was best for our house (we were replacing an old A/C and furnace) and meeting our budget needs. Eric and Memo performed the service of removing our old units and installing the new. They were clean and courteous with their work. They placed tarps on the floor where they would be walking, and wore booties over their shoes when walking on floor without tarp. Memo even vacuumed our basement after the furnace was done being installed! We got a few quotes when looking for a service provider, and we felt great (and still do) about our choice to go with Welzig.

These guys are top rate! Professional, clean, great workers and very consciencious. They only use top of the line equipment, but Casey wont try to sell you anything you dont need or want. If youre looking for cheap and dirty, look elsewhere.
During the initial estimate, Casey went over a lot of details into how he determines the systems he recommends for my home. The installation team of Saul, Guillermo and Erick took their time to lay down tarps, remove my access doors and move my washer to get access to the water heater. The installation team took time to explain to me what they were doing and the purpose of the water heater Safety Tank. At the end, they ensured everything was replaced, thoroughly cleaned up, and explained to me the features of the new thermostat. In the post-installation inspection, Casey again went over the thermostat features. I am completely satisfied with the job performed by Welzig Heating & Air, and the team of Casey, Saul, Guillermo and Erick.

Throughout the process, he clearly outlined the options, costs, and next steps while demonstrating the utmost professionalism and credibility.
I have used Welzig twice and have been very satisfied both times. They serviced my humidifier 2 yrs ago and my furnace and A/C today. The repairman Jason was polite and professional. They did exactly what I asked and there were no hidden fees or up charges. The price was very competitive with what other places charge. The person on the phone was polite and helpful. They got me an appointment quickly too. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly. I liked a few extra things they did....they wore protective gear over their shoes so they didnt track dirt into my home. They also sent me an email when Jason was on the way over with a picture of him. Thats a nice safety feature. I also liked that they emailed my receipt with a complete list of everything they checked and the condition of each item.
Chris completed our annual furnace maintenance and we could not be more satisfied. He was very complete in his work and gave us very clear recommendations. Very happy that we have signed-up for the annual maintenance program.
Welzig installed a 50 gallon water heater. They scheduled quickly, even tho our water heater was still in working condition. Kevin Chavira was our installer. Kevin did a wonderful job! He was so pleasant, friendly, answered all questions, and completely cleaned the area before leaving. Thank you!
Michael M. serviced our furnace today. At his recommendation, I had him install a surge protector. Michael was prompt and knowledgeable and very pleasant. He completed the work promptly and thoroughly.
Had furnace checked back in late January when it stopped working. Weston came out for the service call, and determined the heat exchanger was cracked and the furnace no longer operational. We waited to have a new one installed.We finally had Welzig come out to give estimate. Again, Weston was the technician that came out.Very professional, friendly, and didnt give us industry terminology my husband and I wouldnt understand.Scheduling for the installation was very quick-within 2 days of the estimate and our decision to get the installation, we were scheduled for the work.Guillermo and Kevin, the installers that showed up were barely noticeable. This says a lot as, I work from home, and feared the noise would disrupt my work. They were neat, professional and had the work done within several hours.Weston completed the after-install inspection and found a few minor things that needed to be taken care of. Scheduling again was a non-issue, and was able to have David come out to correct the items.I want to commend Chris, Weston, Kevin, Guillermo, David, and the front office personnel, for making this a positive experience for us.The cost was less than Lowes, and the professionalism was well beyond our expectations.

Tyler did a great job servicing our air conditioner. He recommended some additional work to extend the life of our a/c unit which we agreed to after he thoroughly explained the benefits. Welzig always does a good job and that is why we stay with them.

We purchased our our tankless water heater, AC and furnace thru Welzig. During COVID, working from home, I started experiencing severe allergy issues and Welzig was able to help me purchase and install a home Hepa filtration system & UV light. We hit a home run with Cameron, our Welzig tech, he was outstanding from start to finish. Knowing that I was having allergy-induced asthma issues, he went “above and beyond” to make sure our system was installed as quickly and painlessly as possible. We so appreciate his 200% engagement. We also had a tight space to install and he came up with a super creative solution that was perfect for the space in our laundry room. His knowledge was amazing and his “can do” attitude fantastic. We could not be more happy with the hepa filtration system purchase and were thrilled that Camerons service and tech knowledge were so amazing. Thank you Welzig and Cameron!

I called this company to come check why our AC wasnt blowing cold air any more last season. The technician arrived having left tools at his previous appointment so I had to loan him my drill. He proceeded to take a single temperature measurement and stated my unit was working within specs, made a couple suggestions not applicable to our home, talked about his wife, billed us $120, and left. My unit proceeded to struggle to do anything for the rest of the summer and drive our electricity bill up no telling how much more than it should have been. Come this season I had a different company come take a look at why our unit was not cooling properly. Within ten minutes the technician had diagnosed the issue and returned the system to a working state. The AC unit is now working properly and actually cooling our home again. Ive heard good things from friends about this company but the technician we had attempt to diagnose our problem was a poor representation of this companys commitment to its customers.
Casey was very knowledgeable in my consultation for a new heater. He provided clear information on my options which was helpful in my decision making process. Kevin and Memo came as scheduled for installation, were very professional and courteous, took great care of my home during the install and thorough in clean up. Nice to work with, quality product and service.
I called Welzig to come out and fix the heat in my studio and they exceeded my expectations. It ended up not being a major repair (thank goodness)-- but I was so impressed with their level of communication, ability to identify the problem, and were very reasonably priced. Well be using them again.

Beth offered great customer service and Chris quite willingly worked on a diagnosis and repair in our crawl space on a frigid day. Very nice people to deal with. Tyler and Ray came out in a raging snowstorm and replaced my hot water heater that had failed the previous day. Im very pleased that Welzig got er done as their slogan says. Thanks, guys.
We want to thank Johhny H for coming to our rescue last week when our air conditioning could not keep up with the 100 degree temperatures. He arrived on time and was very professional.
