For over 20 years, Macs Barber Shop has been giving me a great haircut at a great value. Mac will treat you right and make you look good. I cant imagine going anywhere else.

Been going to Mac’s for 4 years, always keeps his place clean for his clients and is appointment based only. One thing to know before getting a haircut here for the first time is that he will be honest with you if he isn’t able to cut your hair. Has nothing to do with race or color. Also, the instructions you give Mac about your haircut have to be specific. I would advise having clear and direct communication before he cuts your hair on what you want to do with it.

I am not from southern Cal. I am out of state. Found him and he is the real deal. A real tribute to the way a barber shop should be. Simple, classic with really good service. He also gives a good cut. In fact, I would say it was one of the best cuts I have ever had. With I could take him back to GA with me. Hard to find a good classic shop these days.

Just got my haircut at Macs Barber Shop, today, after finding out the person that usually cuts my hair was no longer working at the place I typically frequent. I was a little hesitant to go to a new place, especially because of a wedding Im attending this weekend, but I wanted my hair cut from someone that had barber experience.So, my wife put out a feeler for a recommendation for a local barber on NextDoor, a few people mentioned Macs Barber Shop. The shop is within walking distance from my home, so I gave Mac a try--and I am so glad that I did. Mac really makes sure youre on the same page with him when communicating and describing the type of haircut you want. He really takes his time and is very meticulous about his craft. Mac gave me a nice, clean haircut, which really impressed my wife.Macs Barber Shop is very clean, nice, simple and its decor has an old school, vintage barber shop feel and look to it. Needless to say, I was thrilled my wife put out a feeler on NextDoor for a barber. I will definitely come back--and come back with my son, too.

Theres a lot of barbers that can do walk ins, so I didnt know his shop was only appointment made. Anyways, I simply walked into the shop and asked if he could cut my type of hair in which I was certain he could, but just wanted to make sure because, well, you know :). As I was finishing the question, he immediately yells very rudely, Im booked up! He said it so fast and loud I had to ask him to repat it. He then says, It means Im busy!. I mean, first of all, I never asked wether you were busy or not, I only asked one question. And if your shop is an appointment only, he couldve just said it was an appointment only. Not, Im booked up!, because thats making me think Im simply not welcomed at all. So in my mind Im thinking, well jeez, no need to be angry at the customer, I didnt know it was appointment only shop. I wouldve reconsidered making an appointment if he hadnt been so rude. He couldve said, Hey Im booked up today, but make sure you call me and well make an appointment. Like, lol, how hard is it to say something like that. Now I dont want to bring up the race card, but it did feel like he had something against me the second he looked at me. Now youre probably scoffing but if youre black, you probably understand. Well, I wont recommend this barber to anyone who has my type of hair lol because this guy has a problem.

Rude wouldnt travel my Dad is sick and needed to go to his brother funeral wouldnt come cut my father hair said its to far its about 10 minutes away.

I Do not recommend coming to this place is very filthy the haircut machine that are using very dirty my skin get irritate from it, they are racist also they do not accept walking in appointment only if you need quick haircut this is not a good place for you a file a complaint with Better Business Bureau.

Macs Barber Shop is appointment only sometimes you can call and see if you can get in I call and I usually get in the same day I call thank you Mac

I have been going here for 9 years. My wife used to live there then she moved to Sherman Oaks with me 4 years ago and I STILL make the 80 mile round trip about once a month to see Mac! Only one allowed to cut my hair!
