2 stars for effort. The young gentleman that came out was a bit helpful, but at the same time very amateur in his line of work. Luckily my fiance was along side of me to help assist him with the process off towing our vehicle. He came earlier than the expected ETA, but the time that we had spent with them caused me a detrimental amount of unnecessary expenses, worries, etc. Not only did my fiance have to engage in manual labor which we do not have the knowledge/ credentials nor paycheck to do this type of work (which doesnt take much knowledge to do), I strongly believe that we ahoukd not have to commit to using our last tow for the year having to deal with this type of (non)professionalism. What made matters WORSE is that in the process of the driver hauling our vehicle onto the flat bed, he didnt fail to DAMAGE THE RIM WHILE NEARLY PUNCTURING OUR TIRES. On top of all of that madness, after many attempts (he honestly did try) to romove the vehicle in the designated location requested....He also failed to cpmplete the task as he dropped our vehicle in the middle of the main road. Then he left after stating that he could no longer help us. Attached are the photos of how our car was left in the street causing us to then have to request another tow (after sitting in the car overnight for numerous hours) for the lack of commitment an employee has to his own employer. In addition, if I had been alone I would have been left to push the car (as a woman) in hopes that we succeed. Maybe 2 employees should be working together when towing if they cannot achieve the task on their own as an individual. AAA must do better with contracting these type of individual contractors/companies. It looks bad. 10 hours wasted!

Car broke down at the beach, they came and towed me to my apartment but there were no parking spots available so they offered to tow it to their yard to hold overnight until the auto repair shop opened the next day! Super quick and friendly

This young man serviced us with great generosity and kindness and went beyond the call in assisting us. We thank you again for that....mahalo. Triple AAA sent us a wonderful serviceman for the 2nd time and we are so grateful for his professionalism and mannerism. This guy is so special. Made us want to fly to Hawaii and give his parents a hug. I give double 5 stars to Paulo and A Checker Towing. Best service ever!!

So I called AAA because my car wouldnt start. AAA sent a towing company named A Checkered Towing, they are near my house and never knew, this guy code name November came by, really good attitude, he saw that I was really stressed, he did his job fast, made conversation the entire way, offered me water, and took me to their shop, where their mechanic took a look at what was wrong and fixed my car at a discounted price because I had used A Checkered Towing Services. I have only done 3 reviews and these guys were on point, Im pretty sure that you guys know how scary it can be to know that your car doesnt want to run, these guys took care of me. Customer service from the moment the towing company came to the end of my mechanical issue, top notch...

It was a wonderful experience, drive and he allowed me to talk from LBC to Corona Hills. He is a very nice guy, clean truck and well spoken young man.

I highly recommend this shop. General Motors failed me on my 2012 Chevy Cruze...BAD engine design. My engine blew and I took my car to Checkered Towing. I needed a whole new engine! The team at Checkered put a new engine in better than GM did the first time!! Have had no issues and was a great price. Gained a family from this shop.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Highly recommend, called these guys after waiting 2 hours for a different tow company. They gave me a 30min arrival time, they arrived like in 15mins or less. The driver Manny was great.

Customer service needs improvement money was snatched out of my hand as I was counting it. There wasnt even a disagreement let alone a confrontation they all around have poor customer service

I witnessed the large sweaty ruminate consume 6 chiliburgers. Four chilidogs. Two fries (chili of course). 8 milkshakes. Three sodas (diet so to keep her slim figure). 3 bags of chips (baked Lays for health purposes). And a salad with bleuchees (popcorn size tub of dressing on the side of course). All withing the 30 minutes I was waiting.

I had to get my car jumped and eventually had a new battery put in, the technician Tango was incredibly helpful. He was honestly and upfront about the problem my car had, he also arrived 30 minutes before the estimated time and saved me from a street sweep ticket.

The lovely elderly thing was very helpful. I forgot its name but Id like to refer it Gastropodicus Humongous. I say thing and it because it devolved from a human being quite some time ago. Metamorphisised into a large slug type creature. I got my vehicle back with minimum damage so theres that.

The driver showed up within minutes which was great. In the process of unlocking my car he broke off the handle and damaged the internal components. Goes to work on my other door. He opens it but now that handle does not work and now he says it was like before he worked on it. His first response to the first handle he broke was what do you want for it. He points out that its an old car so I guess Im supposed to be okay with the result. At the end he tells me his boss will correct the problem with only one handle, not accepting he damaged my other handle. I called the next morning. His boss was wasnt there. Left a message. Called again. He now left for the day. Going on two days with and my car cant be opened from either door. Cant be locked. AAA should not contract these people.

I had a bad battery issue Sunday 2/19/17 after our mini hurricane...was out of Long Beach...got it handled by AAA...however...i didnt check car the following day...lol...this am at 2:00 am I thought I better check to see if car would start...NOT...ha ha...so called AAA...no trucks available..call at 7AM...my AAA service person...Gabriel was the BEST...he was sooo helpful...I drive an older Celica GT...so he had to go back and get a battery for my car...did he take long???..Nope... installed battery quickly...and helped me get credit for old AS A battery that was less than 3 years old...did he get a huge hug??? Oh you bet he did...Take good care of this special young man...he CARES!! By the way...please tell him Betty Murphy says....I found it.....He will know what I mean...thanks so much!!!!

This Company destroyed our entry gate on Christmas. We had to call our vendors and our workers away from their families on Christmas and their only reaction was to say accidents happen. Not that they are sorry or how can we make it up to them Accidents Happen and then the manager hung up on me while I was trying to explain the magnitude of the situation. Do you want these Accidents to happen to you?

Whatever girl answers the phones on Fridays around 11:00 a.m. is extremely rude and unprofessional! I attempted to get some information on my car and she just kept rushing me off trying to get me off the phone and not giving me any information. You have my car, I have every right to call and inquire about it.

UPDATE..:I WILL LEAVE MY RATING BELOW JUST SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE CAN DO TO A CUSTOMERS OVERALL SATISFACTION. FYI IT WASNT JUST 1 BAD EXPERIENCE, ITS FRANKLY CRINGE WORTHY KNOWING THAT TRIPLE AAA CONTACTS ONLY THIS CO. OUT ON LB BECAUSE OUT OF THE 5 SERVICE CALLS IVE HAD 3 WERE BAD 2 of the 3 were actually horrific, so bad I had to request a whole new tow truck driver 1 of those times, And the other 2 service calls out of the 5 total that Ive requested were over the top great, excellent, awesome.. its really frustrating because they have some really amazing guys working for them and then they have disaster cases working for them.. I actually paid out of pocket one time just because I didnt want to deal with having the chance is be stuck with a complete jerk again.. The last service call I had the guy was so so great I just wish all of their staff care about their job, cares about the customers who are the reason they have their jobs to begin with, as much as the 2 guys do that I had great experiences with. Its INCREDIBLY unfortunate that Ive had more AWFUL service experiences then good ones, it only takes a few bad apples to destroy a business.. WHAT THESE DRIVERS NEED TO REALIZE IS THAT WITHOUT THE CUSTOMERS THEY ARE REQUESTED TO TAKE CARE OF, WITHOUT THEM, THEYD HAVE NO JOB, NO PAY CHECK, THEY SERIOUSLY NEED TO BE GRATEFUL FOR THE CUSTOMERS THEY DO HAVE AND TREAT THEM PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, AND DO YOU BEST TO MAKE THE EXPERIENCE PLEASANT FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED.. REGARDLESS.. Instead of acting like complete rude jerks with such bad attitudes, some very unsavory characters to say the least. I feel lucky to of had 2 wonderful experience considering ITS HONESTLY A COMPLETE HIT OR MISS WITH THIS COMPANY...Well I didnt realize Triple AAA contacts out when a never requests their towing services. I am a new member so this was my first towing experience since becominga member. I have to say that my overall experience with this particular tow company was pretty good. I can confidently say that I was a satisfied customer. I had absolutely no problems really. There were no major hiccups so to speak. Once my fiance helped with pushing the car into place for the guy and I steered the car in the correct position everything else was smooth sailing. The tow truck driver had pretty good customer service, ESPECIALLY for this area. IDK why Ive only encountered completely atrocious customer service in places that i go to in Long Beach but its really made most of my experiences incredibly dissatisfying. So i was pleasently surprised with how friendly the driver was and i found that his professional manner was too a nice change from what I tend to experience in this town. He was all about getting the job done, he didnt do anything half fasted or sloppy. Not at all. In fact he was careful and Im really appreciative for that. I am pleased that no damage was caused to my vehicle and that he delivered my car to my mechanics shop in Stanton safely and all in one piece. Reading some of these other reviews about things missing from the car or damage being done is surprising. I didnt experience any of that and I even had money in my car sitting out in the cup holder for all to see, not just change but dollar bills as well. Not even one dollar was taken. So after all is said and done I am really satisfied and I wanted to say thanks for the great service. FYI the reason for the 4 star rating instead of the five star is only because of the length of time that it took for the arrival, it took easily over an hour. That seems like it took for to Long in my opinion and if i was waiting any where else other then my house I know I wouldnt be very happy with how long I waited. Even still Im over satisfied with it soa..
