Something was wrong with my car and I took it to a shop that quoted me 600$ for the job my dad said I should try Them out so I did and I told them what the other mechanic had quoted me he called me back the next day and said it was something completely different and way less expensive then what I was quoted a dishonest person could have taken advantage of me like the other mechanic was trying to do!! They did great work and very fast this is the place I will forever take my vehicles!

Mongielos is a fantastic group to work with. As a recent customer I have to say my experience was that of pure professionalism and great customer service. I had a Westin Pro brush guard and Undercover Flex bed cover installed on my 2012 Ram 1500. Really giving it the look and functionality I was after at a very affordable rate. From start to finish the staff was very informative and helpful, form assisting me in ordering and giving me an idea of what the finished product would look like by taking time to search out and find what I really wanted. After a few nasty scares on icy/snowy roads this winter, I decided it was time for me to get new tires. Having had the same ones for three and a half years I wasnt exactly sure what I wanted to replace them with, and Dave took the time to go over my options with me as far as cost and effectiveness.. The tires were put on quickly, my only wait-time attributed to the delivery of my tires to the store.Since then Ive driven in a few precarious situations snow-wise and wow, can I feel the difference! I feel a lot safer on the road, and much more comfortable going out in the weather. This man is a lifesaver! We were on our way to Florida, when we heard a popping side come from the drivers side of the vehicle! At that point, we thought we would be stranded in New York, and never make it to Florida. I quickly did a google search, and called Mongielos, and I was surprised to find that David answered, as it was CHRISTMAS EVE. He was able to make it to us in the middle of snowfall about 20 mins after we had called him. It turned out that the popping wasnt serious and could be fixed at a later point during our trip,, but we would have never known that without Mongielos assistance. He even gave us his number to give him a call for guidance if we were given quotes for the repair that seemed inflated. Talk about integrity! Amazing, amazing, amazing! Quick turn around and reliable work. My car sat at another shop for 3 weeks without any work done on it after they already took a week to figure out the problem. So I took it here instead. Approximately a year ago, my truck would not start and it frustrated me until no end. I have the ability to fix cars but I was completely stumped. I called David and he told me to bring it down the next day to look at it. I was thinking timing chain or something catastrophic that would have cost me lots of money. Fortunately, Dave knew what to look for and it was a simple fix. I couldnt have been more impressed. Not only did it save me trouble, but because Dave knew what to look for, he saved me money on the cost for the time of the diagnosis. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I had a recurring problem with a front left break overheating and tires that wouldnt hold pressure. The tire rims had not been properly sealed by previous mechanic. Now that Dave has worked on them they have never been better. This also goes for the break job. Great service with fair prices. I have recommended him to friends.

Dave was honest and quick with some preventive maintenance last year. When I needed tires, he explained all the options and helped me choose a set. In order to save some money and get a manufacturers rebate, he was willing to install the tires after I bought them from an online retailer. Always been a straight shooter with me.

We were traveling from out of state and got a flat tire late at night. Called the next morning and they got is in and out in about 15 minutes. The owner does a great job; after a CEL and minor other fixes, he troubleshooted my car to determine a possible issue that I was having but did not charge me for it. I would have to agree with others that he sometimes does over task himself, perhaps a secretary is in store for this thriving business.

Very pleased with the service from David. Professional and knowledgeable and friendly. He fixed my problem. Was at a different repair shop Lees than 2 months ago and I was charged $30.00 for battery terminals cleaned up and not only did he point out to me the terrible job they did they wiped the lubricant off and that was it . one of my terminals was in real bad shape and they never said anything. Dave cleaned it with wire brush and ordered a new one. He also showed me the difference between the two terminals. He was fair and honest with me and I will be back to do business with him again. I highly recommend his business he has been around for over 30 years

*Updated 2/7/19*I want to start off by saying I am not a paid reviewer and that all of my remarks are completely unsolicited. I believe that good, honest work shouldnt go unnoticed especially when dealing with a privately-owned small business.I went to Mongielos because I suddenly had transmission trouble. Virtually overnight I lost all power to my engine and after limping my car home at a max of 30mph, I looked under the hood to discover a nasty leak. I immediately called Mongielos and the owner respectfully listened to my issue. Based on what I said, Dave, the owner, told me the worst case scenario (needing a new trans dropped in) but said hed be glad to take a look at it. Thankfully it only turned out to be rotted lines (a quick and, thankfully, much cheaper fix). I had my Monte Carlo back within 24 hrs and it has honestly never run better (and thats including the time from when I bought it).What I like about going to Mongielos is that they truly live up to their motto: Honest, Quality, Affordable. I had been told by friends who know cars that if I took my problem to any other garage it would have ran me at least $600 and, who knows, the other guys may have tried to sell me a new transmission system. As it stands, I paid literally a quarter of the cost for this fix and have never had a better experience with ANY automotive mechanic.Seriously, go to Mongielos Auto Repair and Parts because you really get what you pay for: Honesty, Integrity, Quality, and a hell of a lot cheaper than the other guys or some corporate franchise.****************************************I went in worried my car needed a new radiator due to the location of the coolant leak. Dave and his workers let me watch as they diagnosed the problem on the spot and it turned out to be a bad water pump, *phew* They got right to work on my car and I had it back by that afternoon. Took my car for 3 total estimates for damage at different places around Buffalo and Mongielos was by far the lowest by almost half of what the others were offering. Overall, great experience and would recommend this business to anyone who needs any type of work done on their vehicle.

I highly recommend Mongielos Auto Repair. I have had a repair done some years ago and later when another problem appeared he found that a gasket had been left off and now a small leak was giving an intermittent error code. He did the right thing in doing the repair and not charging me for the mistake that his mechanic had done. Since then I have had other work done and each time it is done in way that brings credit to his work and produces my desire to recommend his shop to others.

2010 Nissan Rogue, bought it used two years ago. I went to the dealer three weeks ago for inspection and oil change and they said everything was great even though I complained that I had to put air in my tires at least once a month, I can wait to get new tires on the next oil change in 6 months. Needless to say, I put air in my tires four times since then. I stopped at Mongiellos and the Owner assisted me with choosing new tires (the dealer had put the lowest end tire on). At my tire appointment the whole crew went above and beyond to make sure my rims were free of corrosion and installed new rubber sensors to replace the cheap metal sensors the dealer installed 18 months ago that had corroded (owner gave them back to me). Most places seem to take advantage of women and their lack of car knowledge but this place explained everything to me so I understood. I cannot express how overly impressed I am with Dave Mongielo and his staff!! I will definitely give them my business again!!

I have a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze and the engine light was on. I took it to the dealer I bought it from, paid $118 for them to diagnosis to see what was wrong with it. About an hour or so later they tell me everything I need done would cost me a little over $500. I asked them to give me a copy of what parts I need and what other recommendations they had for me so I could look up the parts to see what was really going on. They told me they couldnt give out that information. You would think after paying $118 for them to look at my car I would have every right to see what parts I needed. Meanwhile I went and got a second opinion over at Mongielos. Dave, the owner of the shop, sat me down and we went over all of the paper work the dealer gave me. Shortly there after, he had figured out the parts I needed for my Cruze and we put a price on it. For the part I needed it was going to cost me around $163 plus tax, including labor. All I needed was one part for my car. The dealer was going to charge me over $500 for one part for my car. If youre vehicle has something wrong with it, I would definelty would take time and go visit Mongelios and his team for excellent, dependable, and honest service. It will save you a great deal of money. Dont let the dealers trick you into paying way more than you need to, like I almost did! Youll save so much more money, for serivce you can trust! Definelty would recommend Mongelios for anyone looking to get any work done, big or small! After this whole ordeal, I am personally not going anywhere else besides Mongelios.

My truck was giving me problems with the rear brakes locking up. It was annoying and unsafe with winter coming. I had already put new brakes on it just over two years ago with very little driving time, since then. It was a dilemma. Mongielos team diagnosed the problem. The shoes turned out to be rebuilt cores instead of brand new shoes as I had believed my previous mechanic purchased. Dave showed me how the brake material was pulling away from the metal core. It now brakes much better and feels safer, too.The alignment didnt feel right either, although it was aligned this summer by another shop. It was doubly troublesome because the alignment on my Buick needed to be re-done only a few weeks ago. I had Mongielo do that work, also. This was after it had been aligned elsewhere two weeks before my truck had its first alignment. The Mongielo team checked my F-150 and did discover alignment issues. The alignment was off by a lot more than I was comfortable with from the other mechanic who I have known much longer. The tires were not symmetrically out of align, which seemed to rule out the possibility of the first machine being out of adjustment. Two front-end components were then found badly worn and needed replacement. The Mongielo team replaced the worn front-end parts and corrected the alignment. The truck doesnt pull to the left any longer and I drive more confidently, now.It is obvious that Dave Mongielo has re-invested in tools and equipment necessary to diagnose and troubleshoot most, if not all, problems associated with trucks and cars. I asked him if his electronic testing equipment could test the Anti-lock brakes (ABS) trouble light. I was previously advised to go to the dealership for that diagnostic. He said that he had that testing device. As an aside, New York State rationalizes that they can take your money and force an automobile Safety Inspection on you for YOUR safety. So, if the reason for the Safety Inspection is for YOUR SAFETY and not making money for themselves to pay all the state employees health care and overtime, then why isnt testing the ABS required in their supposed Safety Inspection? It isnt, you know. They dont even check it. They dont care. They shouldnt be allowed to check any of it, anyway. The emissions Check Engine light has absolutely no bearing on safety at all but God help you if you cant get those codes to clear! Yeah I know, the environment is the biggest problem facing the U.S. today. The state is a moron.When you go into the Mongielo office, look at all the Continuous Education Certificates on the wall. I couldnt even read them all, so I went back into the waiting room and sat down in a very comfortable leather couch and zoned out in front of the fireplace. Dave had to wake me when he was finished.Dave Mongielo is someone who makes automobile repair an experience. The ceiling on the waiting room is all natural wood. It has the ceiling bracing that reminds me of a ski lodge. There are many things to look at if you are interested in truck accessories, too or even if you like to look at his model cars and trophies. From wall to wall, there is truck paraphernalia.Mongielo is involved in the community, if you were wondering. He has been involved with Volunteer Firefighting and he was promoting benefit dinners for fallen firefighters, police, and service men until the Town of Lockport used its absolute power with the threat of deadly force to stop him and put him in jail. He is now interested and involved in politics and the law. Yeah? I wonder why?There is a friendly atmosphere at Mongielos. I would recommend them to others. Say hello to Dave, for me when you go.
