I absolutely LOVE Metro Cheer & Dance. It has brought my daughter out of her shell, taught her about sisterhood, teamwork and dedication. Coach Harris goes out of her way to make sure the girls feel special no matter what level they come in on. She constantly encourages them to be the best dancer, student and individual that they can be. I feel so blessed that my daughters are able to be part of such an awesome gym.

Metro Cheer and Dance has been in business for 25 years. My daughter loves this program, this is her 5th year and the staff is amazing. Metro All Stars is amazing! My daughter was a cheerleader with Metro All Stars for 7 years. She learned so many skills including life skills. She was able to travel and compete on multiple levels. Coach Harris is a GREAT coach! Once my granddaughter becomes of age, she will too be a Metro All Star cheerleader!

This is my daughters 3rd season with Metro. Metro is a second home place for me and my daughter and I am very happy with this choice. The coaches are very compassionate in what they do and they treat all athletes as if they are their own. My daughter is comfortable with everyone on staff and she just cannot get enough of being with her cheer sisters in and out of the gym. My daughter started out as level 1 and at 7 years old she is now working on Level 4 skills and we are very excited to see what Coach Harris has in store for this upcoming Season 22. She is full of surprises.

Amazing program with great instructors, good athletes and strong support system! They are really serious about training your child the correct and safe way. They focus on making sure the kids have fun in their sport while excelling in school as well. All around great program!

My daughter was extremely shy when she entered the program and now shes full of confidence. Im thankful for Coach Harris, Coach Angie, and the entire staff. When anyone asks me to recommend a good cheer program for their child.. I always send them to Metro! The quality of training, experiences and awesome coaches is unbeatable. I grew up cheering for Metro and have to say Permella Harris has always been a class act. Cares for each one of her athletes and never fails to hit the floor with a 🔥 routine! My daughter is going into her 3rd season at Metro and when she started she didnt have a forward roll let alone a cartwheel, well at just 6 years old my baby now has Level 3 skills and is now on level 2 and level 3 cheer teams. My baby walked into Metro with little to no confidence and she is now more confident then ever. What I love most about Metro is the fact that Coach Harris (the owner) has a open door policy and she works directly with the girls and is very hands on! If you have an issue or confused about anything you can go directly to her and she will give you the answers. She doesnt sugar coat anything but is always respectful!! The girls LOVE and RESPECT Coach Harris! All the coaches are trained and qualified to coach the girls! My little cousin started off her cheer life at Metro under Coach Harris and she now has two national championship rings from Davenport University. I only signed my daughter up for metro because my cousin told me too and I seen all the help my little cousin got and how awesome she was in cheer, I had no idea I would be walking into a FAMILY ORIENTED place. Not only is Cheer something my daughter has adopted but she now has a ton of cheer sisters and coaches who pushes her to be what they know she can be. Their are lots of gyms in the area where my child or any other child can cheer, but when it comes to the best, METRO ALL-STARS is the place to be and the best for me and my daughter!

Metro Cheer and Dance has been the best experience I have ever had while dealing with sports for my children. I have never met a owner and coach like Coach Perrmella Harris. Countless times I have seen her go over and beyond for the athletes as well as us as parents. Anytime there is an issue Coach Harris handles it right away. She takes time out her schedule even when she is not at Metro to handle any situation and it is handle with such class and respect. Coach Harris trains her coaches and staff and it is always a joy and a feeling of home whenever I enter the building at Metro. This season, which is my 3rd season with my 7 year old, has been AMAZING!! I totally look forward to more seasons with Metro. My child has advanced so much since being at Metro and its all because of Coach Harris and her amazing coaching staff. NO BETTER PLACE THAN METRO CHEER AND DANCE!!

Very great Cheer and Dance program. I cheered on this team from ages 8-13/14 Im 24 now and they are still up and running strong. Very professional and great experience for children wanting to learn or advance skills in cheer and dance.

Metro expose my girls to competitive cheer. I have a daughter that was very shy and what Metro brung out of her this past season made me very teary eyed each time. No one is perfect...No business is perfect... so no matter where you go you’ll find one thing you don’t like. People are so quick to criticize and critique but never step in to lend a helping hand. I’m glad to be a part of the metro family and now a part of the staff. 😍

My daughter did this through the school and it was awful. It was extremely unorganized. Season is over and she still has not received her uniform we definitely wasted our money.

Im very disappointed with the Owner and most of the parents at this gym. They are very high school like. Its one thing that the parents talk about kids but for the Owner to indulge in the drama😒😒 If you go against the Owner she try to ruin your credibility. She have tried to block children from moving on to other gyms by lies. They say loyalty is everything but there is non amongst the people at that place. If I could rate them a 0 I would. So unprofessional. I mean what owner of a lucrative winning gym try to stop the progress of a 8 year old🤔🤔. Just sad😔😔

Metro is a quality gym where young girls, young juniors and teens can spend time learning cheerleading, dance and most importantly how with to work together well as a team. They spend time volunteering for various organizations throughout the Detroit area. All this is run under the direction of coach Harris who has spent most of her life working in this field. If I had a child interested in cheer and dance Metro is the gym I would choose for them!

Metro cheer is one the best teams I have seen ! Performances are over the top and very entertaining I would recommend this team to all cheerleaders ! My cheer company cheer style recently had a few of metro cheer girls model for our promo video and they were amazing ! Keep it up metro!!!

Absolutely love being apart of the Metro family. My daughter started here at 4yrs old and has fell in love every since. Here at metro they teach these girls life lessons beyond the gym. Yes, she has learned to tumble, stunt and jump. But, she has also learned to overcome fears, work with others, take criticism and much more all the while gaining friendships/sisters along the way.

I hate this place horrible coache spend more time on the full travel team i only got 2 weeks of cheer if i could rate this place a 0 i would still mad cut of our last routine i do NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY please dont waste your tim and money plus way to EXPENSIVE

Plays favoritism, only allows certain girls to advance, calls girls selfish to their teammates. Very unprofessional!

I made the decision to take my child to this gym because this gym is doing things no other gym within the surrounding areas is doing. They offer gymnastics, cheer and dance training on all levels at an affordable price! This program is helping devolpe my childs skills with each practice. They also assist with getting girls college scholarships! Whats better than a cheer scholarship for school?! The CEO is very involved and knows cheer like the back of her hand. They are starting season 22 and that itself speaks volumes to me. Dont just take my word for it. Coach Harris Desi where wonderful. Coach Harris says it’s all about the kids while I as the parent experienced parents that where rude and only would stay in their own click like high school again. I’m a person who never holds her tongue and I think this was a problem for everyone. You’re to do exactly as said never say a word because you will be labeled as negative. Never felt like family and if the parent is there longer than you, you will be the one they let go. Many told me it was this way but I ignored everyone and tried it anyway. Sad to say never again.

Hello, My name is G-baby ☺️ This season is going to be my 3rd season doing Metro, and as the season passed Ive learned lots and lost of things from stunts, tumbling, facial expressions, execution, and how to work together and trust in your team. I love Metro and I never wanna leave because its more than just a cheer team this is FAMILY 💜 we have the best parents, staff, and lets not forget we have our very own Ms. Michelle!!!!! What Ive learned about Metro is that even if you dont win or dont hit doesnt mean give up it just makes you go harder. As we make our mistakes it just lets us get better as a team. Yes, its always going to be a team or somebody better than you but that doesnt matter because it just makes you go harder. Also that cheerleading isnt a self sport so anything you do you do it as a team. Well thats all I have to say but I just wanna thank Coach Harris for believing in me and pushing me to my work ethic and also our current Coach Bree they never gave up on me and that what i love about Metro.

While attending Metro she formed lasting friendships, traveled the world, cheered-and-danced on some of the largest stages with millions of people watching.
