Ive had a great experience at this community. Ive had a few issues with the parking at the beginning. However, every time I submit a ticket or other issue; the management is always polite, nice, courteous, and intentional about rectifying the situations. I love living here and hope to stay here for a long time to come! - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
I currently live here and have enjoyed it with barely any issues. But.... recently I found out that Highland is painting our buildings a pale southern ugly yellow. Im having a hard time understanding why because the neutral color was fine. Now it just looks cheap and ugly. Im considering moving when my lease is up. Thats how ugly this yellow is..
I currently live in Highland pointe. I will not recommend Highland Pointe Apts of west Little Rock to students, people looking for quiet place, and elderly individuals. It is insane to live in this complex with loud noice, TV is loud and installed to bedrooms wall, and music is so loud. Additionally, smoking is prohibited but you smell all kind of smokes. You cannot sleep during the night. I contacted the Management office many times but they seem cannot do anything about it. So my advice to you, dont ruin your life by coming to here. I am leaving this place once my lease is up. STAY AWAY
I was very glad that I found this apartments for me and my family. Unfortunately, after I spoke with the Manager Tashara I just completely changed my mind. Her way of treating her clients is just so rude, unprofessional, and to be honest, very discouraging.Excellent location and amenities, but if you dont have a good feeling about your Manager thats supposed to be the person who is going to help you out in any situation you may have, theres not really anything else to do.Staff changes should be done here to make the apartment complex more successful.
Its a wonderful place if you dont mind consistently overflowing trash bins, a lack of sufficient parking spots, and unprofessional treatment of residents. Our experience after the move out was horrible. We received a final bill, paid it, and received confirmation that it was paid in full. Nine months later we received notice from a collection agency. The lack of organization and poor customer service has been more than an inconvenience -- in this case it has cost us time and money to clean up their mess. Go elsewhere.
Please read all of these reviews. I would not stay here unless you want to just give away money and time. Some of the good reviews are from this program that they enroll their residents in to give reviews for points or whatever.I’ve resided here for a few years & for the first year I loved it. I have no complaints for that first year other than the terrible parking that they said they were going to expand but never got around to it. Highland Point of LR has truly became money hungry liars. Please disregard my earlier review, they incentivize their customers to give good reviews for crumbs.Where do I start? Tashara, the leasing manager, verbally told me the $300 security deposit was refundable when I signed the agreement. A lie. It also says, in the leasing agreement, that there is a $360 deposit applied to your lease. $60 is an application fee that is non-refundable and $300 is as a security deposit. That’s exactly how they worded it. Well apparently you are spending $300 on “reserving” the apartment. That’s it. You are giving them $300 to say that you have the apartment. SCAM.When I gave them an honest review one time, the apartment managers replied back with a very snappy reply that basically told me to get over it.There is no parking near buildings 12-14. Good luck find one at night when people are lurking nearby. The apartment looks nice, very cheap material. For my last three months of living there, they decided not to do any maintenance on my apartment, when I needed them the most. My first year, they were on it and very fast!! My bathroom sink cracked, because it’s cheap, and it took the three months to fix it. My kitchen faucet was in my sink bowl for three months. They told me they were only doing emergency calls because of COVID... I’m sorry I can’t do my dishes in my $900+/month apartment or properly wash my face without causing water damage to YOUR property.I had a few very noisy neighbors. One with a kid that screamed daily. My god, it sounded like someone was whooping them DAILY. One neighbor was so loud I knocked on the wall & they knocked back🤣🥲I called the apartment police, as recommended because they do not handle noise complaints... the apartment police did nothing... another neighbor told me they had a gnat infestation that we also had. This is a petty note: these apartments do not need to be going up on rent nor charging the same price if we cannot use the amenities that we pay for in the rent price. The landscaping is really pretty.
TASHARA THOMAS the rudest person I’ve ever met. Very disappointed. The complex is amazing but she made my experience there really HARD. Think twice or maybe three times before moving there, because you can be absolutely sure that she is going to make everything harder for you.
Have to give a huge thank you to Sylvester and Nick, the maintenance guys at Little Rock Highland pointe. They are incredibly quick and responsive with every fix or issue we have with our apartment. They are also incredibly friendly and professional which my wife and I appreciate greatly. These two guys alone can make your experience with an apartment complex either positive or negative, and let me tell you, it’s positive and what keeps us renewing our lease. The office staff are also all very friendly and attentive to our needs and we appreciate all of you very much!
The property is well kept, clean, quiet, and very safe. We love living next to the woods and yet so close to a supermarket. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Five stars, for sure.
Nice place to live. Pet friendly for sure. Pool is nice. Great garbage service, plenty of parking. Great friendly staff management is always easy to deal with. They 1 2 3 bedroom apartments at a real good affordable price. Dog park. Poop bags and cans in many locations. The grounds are kept real nice. Clean driveways, stairways and sidewalks. Awesome place to grill out and hang at the pool. Nice place to workout.
I love my apartment! The moving in process was handled so professionally by the office. I love having a gate to my apartment and a garage right here to store all of my stuff! Maintenance is prompt and so nice anytime I request a work order.
My family and I love living here. The residents and employees are so kind! If I have any concerns, Tishara always help and if I have maintenance trouble, Sylvester is always helpful.
Nick and Sylvester did a great job repairing our issues and left their workspace clean.
My son and I have Lived here for 3 years now. It would be 5 stars if the parking situation was a little better. Guess I just need to reserve my own spot huh.😊
Do not waste your time! They put up a nice, and caring front in the beginning and then once we signed that lease we started having problem after problem with the manager Kayla. When we were looking at the apartments we told them we had a snake and we were told that the snake is fine and there would not be a pet deposit for it. The day we went to sign our lease, we signed and got our keys. Once we got to the apartment I got a call from the manager Kayla stating that snakes werent allowed. How are they not allowed when I told yall upfront plus it was in our contract that the manager read and signed off on for it to be approved for us to move in? We kept getting wasps, centipedes, ladybugs, and scorpions in our apartment. Our lease is coming to an end [Thank God!] and today I get a notice on my door saying $2,000+ is due. How? One thing was a termination fee. How are we terminating/breaching a lease that is about to end on Sept. 7th? Talking about a 60 day notice... They saw my lease was about to end and sent me a renewal paper. I said, We are not renewing, and I responded before the date that was on the paper. We have not moved and we are still paying rent. Do not move here the apartments are nice, but the so called gated community is not even fully gated. People were always getting their vehicles broken into because you can just walk in. If I could give this place 0 stars I totally would. This place is a headache.
I am ex-resident of Highland Pointe Apartments, West Little Rock. I lived there for 8 months. I would not recommend anyone to live in this apartment for following reasons: 1. No safety and security. Usual Car and house breakings 2. They do not return the deposit amount in time. If you call the management to ask about deposit amount, they rudely reply to you. 3. Worst management I ever seen! Kyla Smith is very rude and not at all helpful 4. Worst conditioned washer and dryer
Since before we even moved in the staff was incredibly helpful! They are kind, the property is in tip top condition, they have a pool, playground, and a great view!
My mom lives there.. just a great community so far, I like the floor plans, quite and mostly important Gated!! GreatPool area as well as fitness center.. My son and I are going to be moving there as well!!👍👍👍👍👍💜
I lived there for 2 years..but I had to hurry up and leave..because of the lack of management Kayla does..she would take her dog into her office when you go there to talk to her..and she would walk her dog even there is people line up for questioning..she values her dog more than residents..And the same thing happened to me too..they told me one thing and when I moved..doesnt matter what we talked over the phone or person..only thing matter is what on the contract..haha..Stuffs are nice..but Kayla takes everything staffs do..so its NEGATIVE ALL THE WAY..HATED THE PLACE..WOULD NEVER RECOMMENDED TO MY FRIEND..IF I CARE FOR THEM..
Very quiet peaceful apartment community. Leasing office is always very understanding and helpful.
Many many hidden costs.....told multiple things that werent true to get me to sign a lease....I took their word as true and it cost me a lot of money due to it!!!Management has a very hars time returning calls!!!!The maintance guys are fantastic....they are quick to fix things and very nice....that would be my only positive about this place
Beautiful property and the staff is AMAZING.
I stayed there for nearly 3 years, their employees stole from me, they used a key and stole over $200 worth of video games. You report something is broken and when they come they fix it but then you start having the same problem again in a day or two. Once I was finally ready to buy a house, I gave them my notice and once I found out that it wasnt going to close on the right day I tell them and even though I have spent my money there for so long, just tell me tough and didnt care one bit. And once you move out they will find all sorts of ways to take as much of your deposit as they can. Avoid this place as much as you can. You dont get what you pay for there. Oh and also I had brown recluse spider problems and they wouldnt take me serious till I wont up with one actually on me and brought them the spider. Also I know they were having problems with black widow spiders at another one of Maxxis properties in Little Rock.
I have lived here for two and a half years and will be moving out shortly. I think I will be getting out at a good time. When I first moved in, this was the perfect apartment. The unit itself is new and well-kept. I rarely have any maintenance issues (Ive had two total, one to tune up the AC and one to clean fridge coils) and those have been tended to fairly quickly. The administrative staff is predominantly polite and professional, and the maintenance staff even more so. The apartment is pet-friendly with a reasonable pet fee and plenty of doggie poo bag stations around the complex for owners like myself to more easily clean up after pets. Covered car ports are available for $30 a month and garages for $60, which is overpriced but nice to have. It is gated, but in my experience this does not offer any additional privacy or security as it is extremely easy to get in by piggy backing without a code and walk up access is entirely unobstructed. The complex has many of the standard problems of apartment living: there are always going to be junky people who liter, limited hilltop parking, and sound through shared walls. That stuff is present, but not too bad.The biggest problem currently are the neighbors. When I first moved in, everyone I met was a professional who respected others privacy and treated the community well. It was mostly recent college graduates, young professionals, and older couples. In the last year or so, this is not the trend. Much more increasingly there are families with lots of children and teenagers, which may be wonderful for you if you fit in that category but has been just the opposite for me. These kids roam the complex without adult supervision, digging in the landscaping, throwing rocks, crawling on the first floor patios (not awesome when Im paying a $20 upcharge per month for a ground floor unit), and running uninvited up to dog owners who are just trying to get their dogs to potty. Ive seen kids balance walking on 15 foot retaining walls on the wrong side of the safety rail, riding bikes into the street in front of cars, and antagonizing unfriendly dogs just for kicks. The kids are not safe, not supervised, and simply not parented. This puts the complex and residents at liability when they injure themselves on complex property or end up bitten by an antagonized dog who theyve enjoy teasing. It is a daily problem that continues to worsen.Today, a group of about 6-8 teenagers and pre-teens were parked in a covered space rented by my neighbor, making out both inside and outside of the vehicle without shame. I personally saw them there for over an hour. When I walked by to my car, parked a space over, a 16 year old boy came up for air long enough to tell me he liked my car before going back in for more face-sucking while leaning his full body against a girl with her back to the vehicle. A kid from inside the car yelled at them to close the door, so I cannot attest what was happening inside the car. Kids have run of the place. I have no idea where their parents are; I have literally never seen these kids accompanied by an adult. If parents were to keep a better eye on their kids in this complex, it would be a great place to live. As it stands, Im really looking forward to the end of my lease two months from now. If I were not obligated by my lease to wait that long, Id be leaving now.I gave it three stars because it is okay. If life was contained entirely in my own unit, itd be great, but the quality of life in an apartment complex very much includes neighbors and the ones that are currently living here arent wonderful. Parents, please actually parent your children.
I have been living here for past 10 months.1)Crime prone..many car break ins2) Lanlord not prompt in resolving work requests3) unfair rules and regulations
Love living here!
