Recently changed repair shops in 2021 just to test out this Midas since the repair shop I usually go to had been getting more expensive and noticed how uninformative they are.Had some major AC and brake work done here on different occasions and got amazing customer service here by Bryan. He explains everything in terms that you would understand and after seeing him engage with other customers other than myself while I was there, I noticed that he really cares about people which is hard to find these days.He stands out as someone who takes pride in his job and cares about people in general. I’ll take my car to him every time and this Midas has won over my trust for all my car repair needs moving forward for as long as Bryan works there.

Good service and decent pricing. Very cordial and helpful manager. I have been giving my Nissan Altima to this Midas since the last three years for servicing, and I have had a great experience overall.

The ability to make money easily thats the Midas touch.Right off the bat, they were trying to scam me with an alignment that I knew for a fact I did not need . They had not even touched my car when the guy was already charging me for something he thought I may need.Note sent to the Better Business Bureau.

I’ve been taking my car here for over a year but will not be returning after this last experience.We brought it in our car for a standard oil change and checkup. They called to say we needed a new belt, air filter and new coolant. This immediately seemed off since all of these had been replaced recently. We instructed Midas to only do the oil change and none of the other repairs. They called back to say they added new coolant anyway without our permission but wouldn’t charge us.I was skeptical of the work at this point so we took it to the Honda dealership down the street. Not only did our car not need a new belt or air filter, Midas added the wrong coolant and we had to pay $85 to correct their error.

Josh was very friendly and informative. They fixed the brakes on my daughters car which we were very concerned about. He was honest and gave us explanations for each process. I have been going to this shop for years and am happy the next generation can also trust them!

Josh was a super helpful associate in the shop. I recently had my car‘s brakes fixed there. When I went to pick up the car, Josh found out some item was over charged by other associate, he was very honest to remove the extra charge. We have using this shop to fix our cars for many years, generally speaking, the people there are nice.

I have been going to this Midas for the past 5 or 6 years and have always found them to be friendly and knowledgeable. They do the work for a reasonable cost, done right, in a timely fashion. Jim explains what needs to be done ahead of time and is willing to work with you. I trust them.

Thank goodness for Josh and the mechanics at Midas! For many years now Ive relied on the team in Libertyville to keep my car running smoothly, and will continue to do so. Ive trusted them with brakes, exhaust system repairs and other needed repairs, and have always felt theyve done good work for an honest price.

I had several problems acquiring a new battery for my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee at every location, especially AAA. After having my Jeep towed to the Midas location, 15 minutes before they were closing, Josh went out of his way to acquire the correct battery. Brett and Josh were exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful with any questions I had. They stayed open until my car was running perfectly, which was at least an hour or so after normal closing hours. Josh wasn’t just helpful, but extremely positive. I will be returning to this location purely because of Josh and Brett.

Came in to fix an oil leak and the workers at Midas fixed it quickly. They also pointed out some other issues I hadn’t noticed and fixed them as well when the car was in. Great workers and friendly staff, would recommend coming here for your car issues!

Had a coupon for an oil change with tire rotation. They did the oil change but did not do the tire rotation, which is the whole reason I chose this place. I made an appointment at 10am on a Saturday but was told it would be a 2 hour wait for my car to be started. And they never called me to notify that my car was ready. They also got my address and phone number wrong. Can’t say I’m too disappointed by that, since I won’t get any more mail from them. Hm, maybe that’s why I never got a call. Good thing I called before they almost closed. This will be my one and ONLY time going.

I have been going to this Midas for over 10 years and will not go anywhere else. The new manager Josh and Mike treat you right, do only the work needed and always discuss repairs with me before doing them. You may go somewhere else for cheaper service, but believe me, you will pay lots more in the long run.

I just purchased a older used car .I always choose Midas in Libertyville on Milwaukee Ave to care for my car.My last visit was the WORST EVER!This mechanic Byron supposedly did work on my car?I asked Byron to please put air in all my tires & top off all fluids but as I was trying to ask this of Byron he walked away from me!I watched him through the window as he I think worked on my car?Byron smoked a cigarette is the most I had seen him do & watch me & shake his head he was saying something but I couldnt quite understand all what he exactly was saying to me!?Josh tried directing Byron in the right direction on what all he is suppose to be doing but Byron walks away & turns his back on Josh as well! .I finally got my car back, block later my car was blinking check tire pressure that was NOT doing that before I had arrived at Midas!? .Now I have to go back up to Midas from my home in Waukegan IL just to have a DIFFERENT MECHANIC look over Byron HORRIBLE job!!! .Ms. Julia Paschal .

I have been going to this Midas for over 15 years and will not go anywhere else. They treat me right, do only the work needed and always discuss repairs with me before doing them. You may go somewhere else for cheaper service, but believe me, you will pay lots more in the long run.Most of the mechanics at this Midas boast 20+ years experience and are top notch - they know what they are doing and are not guessing at a fix like other service stations do. Unlike teh fly-by-night operations, Midas stands behind their work 100%.I cannot recommend these guys enough.

Will never go back. Apparently there is a new owner of the franchise. This new owner will not honor any previously purchased lifetime warranty purchases. This messaged with deliberately argumentative fashioned. I had been a loyal customer of this location for 3 years. The franchise management just called me about this review. He would not address my concerns and told me my business was no longer welcome since I challenged their policies and procedures.

From the moment I walked in I can tell I was in good hands. He asked me what I needed done and what my worries have been. Gave him a long list. Oil change, headlight had water inside and car being at 100,000 what do I need to keep it going.Ray then asked me to tell him about my breaks that I had gotten fixed at another shop. (I told him how I just went in for break pad change. Then came out with a car held up for over a week. Broken Emergency brake and car still not ready to drive. After having to show up to that OTHER PLACE with cops hours later I got my car back. It did not make me feel safe.)Ray and the team got right onto my car. In the waiting room he came in and told me that they would change my wheel locks out to normal nuts. Since last shop forgot to give me wheel lock back. They explained what they are used for and that I have no worries not having it on. So after getting tires off the team looked over the breaks. Ray explained to me that it looked safe and everything works. Ray talked to me about how sometimes new parts rubbing with old parts can make noise for sometime, thats probably what had me so worried. Ray assured me everything is safe that Its fully working.His team recommend that they do a tire rotation. That my car being front wheel drive that by changing them around would help for the winter. I was told come spring I should look into replacing tires. Great advice!Checking back in on me in the waiting room Ray asked if he could get me anything while we waited on my new spark plugs that was needed with car being so old and driven. Gave me a estimated time. Too my surprise( very wrapped up in my book I brought with) its only been and hour. Wow!! They did all this in an hour.Truly a happy customer with your service. Above and beyond! Thank you for making me feel safe again.

Joe has just transferred to this store. You wont get anyone more honest than him. Been using Midas where Joe is the manager for 20 years now, cant be happier. If you had a problem in the past, Id give them another try.

I’ve been bringing my cars in for oil changes here for a few years. I brought in my car recently to fix a tire but they told me that I had ridden on the flat for too long and it was just all torn up inside. They wouldn’t be able to repair it but offered to sell me a new tire. Then said I should probably buy two tires so I have a set (about $400 cost) I declined and said I’d take it to the dealer where I got my car so that I wouldn’t have to buy a tire that didn’t match the others. I asked what caused the tire to go flat and the guy said he didn’t bother looking because the inside of the tire was too torn up to repair anyways. I Brought the car into the dealer and they said the tire had a nail in it and there was no damage to the inside of the tire other than the nail. Total cost to fix it? $45... I would not recommend coming here for anything other than an oil change. If they try selling you anything, saying something else is broken, etc., don’t believe them and take it to a dealership.

I did all my oil changes every time in Midas Libertyville. The customer service and the technician there are really really EXCELLENT!1. Their packages for oil changes are really attractive, and helpful for the maintenance.2. It opens very early in the weekdays, and the manager Ken is a very nice and careful person. During the morning, I left my car in Midas, and Ken always offers me a ride to my workplace and pick me up in the lunch time if I need.3. The technicians and crews there are also responsible, and never push me to fix this or that, they inspect my cars carefully, and give me the economic suggestions, with NO charge!I need to write this review all because of this and let people know the best auto repair stone I meet in greater Chicago area!Today, the technician Byron in Midas did a nearly 2 hrs inspect and test drive for my brake, and told me the pad and rotters still can work couple of months, and the reasons why I feel bad when I step brake is something transmission related. He suggest me to consider about it to decide a fix or not because that is a big repair bill, and suggest me to ignore those tiny issue if I decide to change a car (we made an agreement to fix axle and a bulb for the plate earlier morning), and give the key back to me with no charge with a warm smile.[Compare with another customer experience instance in carX Vernon Hills: Half an year ago, the carX in Vernon Hills inspected my brake and asked me to change the pad and rotter (I went there because I got a transmission fluid change coupon from friend...), after my decline, the technician Victor use some very unfriendly words on me, which makes me very uncomfortable as a Non-native speaker, and charge me another 99 dollars for 15 minutes inspection...they told me that would be a detailed brake inspectation, last at least 45 minutes...}Midas in Libertyville is the best auto car repair stone I have been in greater Chicago area, and I only choose this stone if I need car repair in my workdays, and I referred a lot of friends to there, change tires, change oils, and brake fixing, they told me that is good stone too!Thanks for the technicians in Midas!
