Amazing experience!! Highly recommended!! Only bad thing about is that its kinda dirty in there...
Our son LOVED his camp experience! He particularly enjoyed that the camp counselors were ‘young’ as he put it bc they played with them. The Camp sent out a weekly newsletter to keep us abreast of activities & events. My son finally learned how to swim by coming here as well. Awesome place! Highly Recommend!
They are amazing here! This is my first year putting my children in swimming and both are doing excellent. I highly recommend them if your children need lessons.
We love PAC for swim lessons! The communication was great and my kids learned so much. Can’t wait to get them started with their next session! We loved Coach Matty and Coach Rocky.
Great director, staff, and fun activities for the kids! My kids loved it here and we plan on coming back next summer!
They allow bullying….after several attempts of addressing this with the director, I finally had to pull my child out. She always said she would address it with the other child’s parents, but after speaking with that parent on the phone myself, she had NEVER been informed.I was also told the owners would call me to have a conversation (after I had already unenrolled my child) and they never called. Seems nobody really cares. My child also said the place is really dirty.
I have had children attend PAC for almost 3 years and have had a wonderful experience. They accommodated well for families during the pandemic. Mindy Smith
These past few months have been very stressful for many people. Having a child care facility like the PAC has made our life so much easier! Erica and her team have been so helpful and accommodating to all our needs. My daughter loves it there! I would highly recommend the PAC!
My daughter is in the Kids Haven and gymnastics program at PAC. I am so thankful for the virtual learning assistance that the staff have provided. It is so nice that it is taken care of by the time I pick up. The gymnastics classes have also been wonderful. I love that my daughter is always so excited about what she is learning :)
The new paint job makes everything look brighter. My daughter really enjoyed her first day of gymnastics class. I really like the way the coaches break down the technique for ach skill :)
I go to pac and it so good i love it. My teacher is so great the people there is so nice its so helpful and this is my first year there and my first year doing gymnastic and i know so much know that i would have never learn by myself
In March of this year, 2020; we all started to be sent home to work and home-school as we had been notified that our Nation was amid a national pandemic. These words are so scary for a mother to hear. You start to worry; worry about yourself, about your children, your spouse, your family, friends, coworkers, etc. I tried to work full time and home-school, and I did well. There were days where I cried, the kids cried and we all and simply had enough.Fast forward, we finished and completed the school year.Summer now and I wanted and needed a mental break…the kids needed socialization again. They needed to be around kids their age. Something to do, something to see (other than me and other than the Xbox).I started calling around to see if I could find me a safe place to send my 2 boys for the Summer that a) I could afford and b) I felt comfortable enough sending them to as remember, they hadn’t left the house in months, and again, we were in the middle of a national pandemic.I called around, some were way overpriced…and some just didn’t really sound like my children would be engaged in too much while there all during the day.I started asking around to other mothers with whom I knew and who had kids the same age mine were. One mother said that her child had been going to PAC ALL this time…!!! I mentioned the word PAC to my boys and they jumped up and down saying, “Oh, that is the place we went for so in so’s birthday party…we jumped on all the trampolines, and played basketball and also did the slingshot!”I mentioned to my neighbor that I was considering signing the boys up and she said that she used to go to church with the Director! I immediately felt at ease and so happy I had found a place! I called PAC immediately and started asking several questions, mainly about procedures in place regarding Covid-19. I was impressed to say the least. This Director and staff had done their homework…the staff on the phone started quoting CDC regulations to me and it felt wonderful. I prayed about it and ended up signing them up for several weeks! It was wonderful! They were able to swim at least 2-3 times a week. They were signed up for Canteen which they were able to choose a fun snack daily after their lunch. I also signed them up for the Ninja class and they absolutely LOVED going to this class. Each went on separate field trips with their appropriate age group/grade level – with masks on!Having my children in PAC this past Summer has really increased my faith in Covid-19 and how little ones can be exposed…to other children….and don’t always come home sick, or having to go get tested, etc.The Director and her staff ensured this place stayed clean, also ensured that parents were communicated with when we posed any questions. I love the Director and staff at PAC and if you are ever looking for a place to send your children- this is IT!
My daughter loves the gymnastics program. The coaches are amazing. The afterschool care is a good way for my kid to make friends.
I put my son in swim lessons, and he absoloutly loved it! the coustomer service was great. Also, the after school care and summer camps have the most activities for the kids.
My kids love the afterschool care! It is a great place for my kids to play while im at work, and the drive through pick up is great.
Amazing place for kids to play. My kids love the instructors. They have made many friends.
I am so thankful that my daughter loves going to PAC everyday for afterschool care. I love that she is able to do a wide variety things and everyone has been so helpful and kind. They do a great job keeping the environment safe and happy for all children by not allowing bullying.
First off they take your credit card and charge it multiple times on things you don’t want, second off, the car line is AWFUL, it is too complicated, third, the place is filled with rodents and my daughter has gotten lice from their 2 times! The staff is very awful, the staff once let a kid get beat up and they just stood their and laughed.
Great place with the best swimming instructors. My kids love their swimming lessons.
First of all, the place is filthy and getting run down. For as much as they charge it should be clean, sanitary and kept up. The parent’s bleachers get stickier every week. It is disgusting. The parking lot is a nightmare. That is my opinion of the place itself. I have no experience with after school care other than it looks like total chaos and just a way to make a lot of extra money. The athletic programs and coaches are good until they get to the higher levels and are treated as boot camp trainees instead of keeping it fun. We were also promised a class they never created this year and my kids were extremely disappointed. All in all if I had a better place to choose that wasn’t all the way in Chapin I would. Please consider parent feedback and make corrective actions or your business will start to suffer.
My sons love this place but their administration staff isnt very helpful- plus they have this crazy app you have to move mountains to get access to pick up your child through the car line, NONE of this is mentioned while registering, I do wish they would explain everything about drop off/pick up when you register that way you arent at the end of the day having to pull back around and then park, get out, wait for someone, then wait to have your child called, they were supposed to send me email with instructions and link for app but I had to call again and request it again, got the link and its some horrible designed app for after school pickup?? They require my childs school and nothing was set up like the front office staff said they would, I can not understand why any facility would us an app this horribly designed, just a bare app, no options to do anything! - Not a very good place for everyone, more for people who dont mind going out of there way to find out how they operate or paying more than the average cost of child care-
My kids have both attended Palmetto Athletic Center (PAC), and they have thoroughly enjoyed it! They keep my kids entertained and on the move, which is hard to do. My youngest (8yo) begs me to pick him up as late as possible because he has so much fun. They staff is wonderful with the kids, and I love the fact that the owners are both Christian and even offer optional devotions for the kids during parents night out on Fridays. If you are looking for a safe, fun, and caring environment for your kids, then PAC is the place!!!!
My daughter has LOVED being at PAC!! She was a level 1 last year and is a level 3 this year! They put a lot of discipline into their competitive teams and my daughter has grown to love it there and doesnt want to go anywhere else! Looking forward to another AMAZING competition season!!
Great staff, awesome place for kids to be and play!! Highly recommend!
My daughter had so much fun today! Thank you for the fun Valentine day games that made today special for her :))
Do not take your kids here! Communication is very weak. You will be thinking everything all good then find out out a month later that it is not. I had some of their workers reach out to me to let me know that my son was being mistreated as in teacher rolling their eyes at him, and yelling at him, and he would cry and no one ever communicated this to me inside workers had to let me know along with letting me know they was worried about him especially since its a lot of bullying in this place and some of the teachers dont care. Im so thankful for the insight of the inside staff letting me know so I can find a different structured place. And my young 5 year old child was always was missing items like a nice blue coat and several socks never found to this day and they just brushed it off but this will definitely happen here. Administration is not very helpful.
We have used PAC for a lot of different programs (Kids Haven after school care, Parents night out, summer camps, birthday parties, and gymnastics classes) and couldnt be more pleased.
What a wonderful business we have right here in Lexington! PAC is a one stop shop for summer child care, after school care, gymnastics, swimming, karate, cheerleading, parent’s night out and much more! With PAC in Lexington I have a reliable source for after school care (and FULL TIME summer care) with options for extracurricular activities while they are there. No driving all around town for karate, swimming, and gymnastics – it’s all at PAC. Great staff, great facility!
Weve been very pleased so far with the gymnastics program and nice that parents can view their kids activity and the dedication and encouragement of the teachers during their session.
My kids have attended PAC for over six years and we love it. I like seeing the constant improvements made by the PAC owners. It seems like a large portion of their profits are being put back into the business improving the quality of service. Running a business and managing people is not easy and can sometimes be unpredictable. I know with the number of kids and personalities the PAC team has to deal with things are gonna happen. I also know you can t make everybody happy all the time but Steve and the guys do their best. The PAC team have done well by us in our time of need.Great job Thanks guys!!
The 3-4 year old gymnastics class is wonderful. Katelyn is great and very encouraging. The facility on the other hand is filthy.
We love PAC!!!! The office staff is always friendly and helpful and my child has a blast in after school care! Thank you PAC
I love this gym because their is so many opportunities for gymnast. The coaches are really helpful and never stop helping.
I was a gymnast at pac and the teachers where nice but I think they need to push you a little less. But the rest of pac is good and I will be going back so I suggest you do to.
PAC offers more for my children than most other places combined. The staff is friendly and seems to be well trained. Any time I have a question or concern, the owners will listen and take action if needed. PAC has been around for a long time and continues to expand. Keep up the good work!I read the negative review and have a comment. Try dealing with a group of cheerleaders, their parents, the practice times, the competitions, the coaches the costumes and all that goes with cheerleading and show a profit at the end of the day. Then realize that was about one tenth of what you deal with on a typical day. Nobody will ever draft my bank account for anything. I will pay up front, pay in full or pay somewhere else. The rule is there for a reason. To write such a comment and question what someone teaches on Sunday is unfair. Maybe you could edit your review, lighten up a little and try a different approach when you have a problem. When you do feel the need to write a negative review, dont start off by telling somebody in business for over 16 years they have terrible financial practices. That is not possible.
My kid has so much fun playing at PAC in kids haven.
There are very good at there jod
Im a physical educaiton teacher and I worked at PAC for summer employment and I must say that the children are very well taken care of. Steve and Ashlee offer a safe, and fun enviroment for all children that attend PAC. With children in grades K-5 I would be at ease leaving my child there for the summer.
Been there once for a friends kids b-day party. My kids enjoyed themselves, but not enough to keep them busy for long.
Had higher hopes sending our 6 year old daughter there for 3 weeks this summer, she spends half-the day with screens watching whatever latest dumb disney channel show is playing and getting hooked on non-educational computer collection games - stuff I could rot her brain with at home. I think the other half-day they can choose whatever physical play station they want to go to, but I think she just kind of wanders around doing her own thing, which is ok, but dont get the feeling there is much direction for kids that dont necessarily have a focus to begin with. She mentioned playing lasertag at someones house which turned out to be the owners house up the hill which just generally seems kind of creepy to me and not mentioned on the website/advertising. You wont want to use the pickup/parking lot with anything other than a all-terrain vehicle as its just potholes with gravel fills. Other than that, the young staff are very friendly and generally helpful - witnessed them explain to a young girl how she could have blinded herself with something if she wasnt more careful.
We love this place, just not the front office. Gonna make this long story short, so here are a few key points.-charged our credit card not once but twice unauthorised for the same amount. When asked about said charges we were told the boss wont be back till Friday an that we would have to wait...this was a Monday.-This is the only business I have been to in this area that the people in the front supposedly greeting customers are always eating......I dont know but when Im asking questions an you keep answering with a mouthful of food....just makes me queasy.-After said charges were ran, we also got a bill for daycare.....no child of mine has ever been to daycare here. These are all facts, nothing was embellished.DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!!
My girls love the coaches. Great place for gymnastics.
Nope, don’t take your kids here. BEWARE
Always a great experience!
Terrible financial practices. Different requirements for different groups of people. Individual participant? Pay as you go. Sign up due to a team sport? They absolutely **require** access to your bank account and/or credit card. Individual participant? They will have your child sit out if you are late paying (this I agree with) and if enough time passes, drop your child from the roster (again, I agree with this. Sign up due to team sports? They will draft your account if you dont pay- whether you want them to or not. This is a MUST SIGN contract, although it is NOT in any of their official registration forms (they refuse to honor what the forms actually state). My daughter cannot participate at this facility with her cheer team if I do not give them personal, life and credit affection personal information. Yet, if I signed her up for a class separate from cheer, they would happily take my payments withOUT having access to my personal accounts.1. Dual practices.2. Retains information that could be very, very valuable to identity and financial theft/fraud.3. Refuses to work with parents who are NOT comfortable with having their information out there like that.4. Has zero understanding of the contracts they hand out to parents.5. Has zero recollection of prior publications they hand out to parents.6. Preaches fairness while applying different standards to different attendees.7. The husband is apparently a Sunday School teacher at a local church- if you have a first grader they would love to see you attend... Id hate to see what they learn from those whose main value is In God We Trust, ALL OTHERS AUTHORIZE US TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Id say pay cash, but that doesnt work there... they want IN your accounts just in case you dont pay on time.I asked why they have different standards for individual participants/applicants versus those who sign up for cheer or another related sport.Their answer? We find that team sport sign ups are more likely to not pay on time, that is why we make them give us their credit card or bank information. They think team sport parents are far less credible than walk ins and they treat us differently.Do YOU want your bank account hacked? Do YOU want your credit score affected by theft? Do YOU think these people keep tight, secure, hacker-proof records when they cant even write a contract correctly? We quit.
My kid loves daycare at PAC!
I go hear and it is most ly fun
