One of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received. The barber’s clippers were so hot they were burning my skin, and apparently she doesn’t realize we have pain receptors in our ears because she would would just bend and roll over them to the point they were bright red. I asked for a simple high skin fade, and this is what I got (see photos). Some of the worst blending and fading I’ve ever seen, and she made little to no attempt to make everything even/symmetrical; even when I asked her. I didn’t have time to sit there all day and let her continue to butcher my hair, so I just said it was ok, paid, and left. Now I need to spend more money to get my hair fixed. Stay away from Sarah at Seat 8. This was my first visit to this particular Sport Clips, and it will most likely be my last; which is sad because I like Sport Clips.

After a pleasant welcome when I arrived I was expecting a great experience. While the stylist gave me a decent haircut there was nothing that made me want to come back. When I asked about the game on in the background or mentioned the blade was painfully sharp I received one word responses. It feels like a very generic place when I expected it to stand out more.

They try to be an upscale place, but nothing more upscale than fast prompt service. Lets be clear, us guys need a simple haircut, access to a TV and a short wait time. No need for unnecessary chatter and long wait time. Got in signed in at the kiosk and 3 people a heat, 3 hair dressers and still took good 45 min to walk out.

I’ve been going to Sports Clips in Lexington since the first week they opened. It’s extremely close to my house which makes it very convenient. For the first couple of years, Trish was the manager and did a great job both running the shop and cutting my hair. Then, unfortunately, she moved on to a new opportunity outside of cutting hair and it seemed that I was going to have to look for a new place.Because of the convenience, I went in after Trish left and got Jess who happens to be the new manager. Although I was skeptical and figured things were not going to be consistent, I was quickly proved wrong. Jess does an amazing job cutting all the while making you feel comfortable as she provides white glove treatment.I was somewhat reluctant to write a positive review as I would prefer to selfishly keep the secret to myself, but I came across a negative review that just doesn’t seem accurate at all. During the course of the last 6 months that I’ve been going to Jess, in which I get my hair cut every two weeks, I have never gotten “lawnmower” treatment! I usually receive compliments about my cuts.Highly recommend!

I was going to give two stars but changed to 3 because it opens on Sunday which is the reason why I came here instead of my regular Barber. The locale has a lot of bells and whistles like big TV screens an electronic self check in, but the quality of the haircut was lacking, keep in mind that in my case its very straight forward buzz cut and I still had to point out uneven areas.

You can go here anytime and get a nice cut and trim with only a few minutes wait.

Tons of turnover but the staff is always friendly. They extended their hours and often dont have a wait longer than 15 minutes. A great place for a cheap cut

I am a recent transplant to the area and regularly frequented my local Sports Clip store in CA. Stopped by this location around 6:40 PM on a Monday evening. I was the only one in line and two stylists were tending to two other customers. I checked in and waited until 6:50 PM when Jessica become available. With a rather grumpy attitude, she ordered me to take a seat at her stall. Asked me how I liked my hair cut and immediately went about hacking my hair. Certainly felt like she wanted me out of the store in the shortest possible time before the 7:00 PM closing. There was absolutely no precision to Jessicas workmanship. One could argue she was mowing grass on a lawn rather than cutting someones hair! My colleague commented the next day about the rather botched haircut. Had to go to a different store the next day to fix Jessicas mess. If only there was a way to sue a store for ruining a customers hair with shoddy skills... Stay away from Jessica and this store.

Worst Place Ever, Ive been going there for years and today I went this person name Jen messed up my side burns it looks so ugly and my hair is ruined. I suggest to anyone not to pick Jen (Stylist) from Sports Clips. Also never to go there.(Lexington,MA)

Ive been going here for many years and always thought they gave an adequate haircut until today. My hair was so bad I wondered if they remembered the instructions I gave. When I paid at the counter, Luna said,I have you all the time and you dont tip, people give you back haircuts if you dont tip, I calmly walked away, never to come back. Im an 8th grader and it is completely disrespectful to ask an 8th grader who pays for their own haircuts to tip the stylist. (There was a one hour wait) Especially to threaten them with bad hair cuts. I wouldnt go through the trouble of writing this if it wasnt true. I love the sporty environment of SportsClips but hate some of the stylists.

Quick walk in service. Pleasant staff. Know their business. Im a satisfied customer.

It was the first time trying out SportClips and it was super different from the other haircut places Ive been to. I tried the MVP experience and it definitely was an MVP experience from the person that cut my hair, Alicia who did a wonderful job to get the style I was going for. A lot of the haircuts Ive been never got what I was going for. Then, they brought me to another room where I got shampoo with a head massage while sitting on a massage chair and a hot towel to relax my face. How often you see that at a haircut place? Im definitely coming back here for my haircut. Not only its close to home, but also the warm staff that makes your haircut a definite MVP experience.

Dont think ill be returning to this shop. There was only 1 other person getting a cut when I arrived, but still had to wait about 10 minutes. Not a huge deal, but still not professional.The bigger issue is the actual cut that I received. I have been getting 0 fades with a hard part for over a decade, and this was one of the worst fades Ive ever received. The stylist had no idea how to blend the lines, and didnt take enough hair off the top. She also didnt bring the fade up high enough, so it looks like an oddly formed mushroom cut / under cut.Overall just very disappointed in the haircut. If you are a stylist and are totally unfamiliar with how to cut an actual fade, then I would appreciate the upfront honesty of that before I sat in your chair. At this point I need to wait a week for the hair to grow in, then have it totally re-cut by a barber who is competent.

Good haircut from pleasant stylists. The only problem is that when you get your haircut then the next time the stylist will ask you which # cutter they used. I did not choose the cutter and I have no idea which they used. It makes it awkward.

Trish, the manager, is AWESOME. She is super nice and does a great job cutting my hair. She is extremely pleasant to customers and always ask for her. Ask for her and you are all set

My normal barbers are not open on Monday so I thought I would try SportClips as I have driven by it many times before. I was seated right away, no other people. Told the woman what I wanted to do. She used buzzers on the sides and scissors on the top. It looked good until I showered. Then the cut looked so uneven. Short on one side and much longer on the other. It was so bad and uneven I put a #2 on my buzzers and shaved my entire head. Dont go there!

I wish I could put 0 stars. I called at 6:30 and asked if they were still taking customers. The lady responded that they were until 6:40. I walked in the door with my cell phone showing 6:38 and waited for the lady to come to the front. She came up looked at her watch and said sorry its 6:40 we cant take any more. There was 1 person waiting already but at least one more lady in back without a client. Cant believe that turned me away. If they really didnt want any customers she could have just said so on the phone. Horrible customer service.I will make it a point to never go back to this or any other in this chain.

Ruined my hair so bad I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Reeks of cigarettes. Staff were unfriendly to customers and constantly complaining among each other. Stay away!

Affordable prices, good cuts and super friendly people. Get the VIP treatment. You wont regret it.

I have been to barbers around the city and I am most happy with Sport Clips Haircuts. They are skilled and customer focused.

Nice place, in a small plaza, accompanied by Brugers bagel, so haircut with a breakfast is a good reason to visit this location.

Standard sport clips experience, good haircut and nice shampoo and scalp massage.

Waited for 40 mins today AM and then was put behind another gentlemen that came 20 mins after me. Im not sure what happened here this time, I have been a long time customer and love going to this place. The hair dresser mildly apologized, but blamed it on the computer....REALLY!

Its set up like a Supercuts: automated, undertrained, underpaid staff resulting in disasterous first time visit. Sports themed, but absent of any sort of passion for any specific sport... Just a place to get the haircut done and watch TV... Shockingly bad experience with a cut thatll last less than a month :(
