Torey Malivuk is a master of her craft. I took my nephew in for his appointment and by chance she had an opening. It was my lucky day. I am 100% serious - it was the best haircut I’ve ever gotten! If I lived anywhere in South Carolina, I would drive to Southern Gentleman’s Barbershop to get my hair cut.10 out of 5 stars.

I usually avoid giving reviews because Im not narcissistic enough to believe my opinion matters to anyone but myself. Because this is a bit of a niche service, its possible my opinion could help someone. I have found it very difficult to find a competent barber in the area. Competent in regards to a traditional razor shave. I have just had my first visit with a young lady named Crystal at The Southern Gentlemans Barbering Company in Lexington. She is by far the best I have had in the area. I would actually say she rivals the best Ive had anywhere in the country. She is professional and was incredibly attentive to detail. The shave was excellent. She did a wonderful job with the haircut as well. The shampoo service was relaxing and also very well done. I intend to consider her my regular barber for the foreseeable future. Anyone who enjoys and appreciates the art of a traditional straight razor shave should consider an appointment with this young lady.Todd Walker

Over all very impressed with the experience, they cut my son’s hair and mine. We where able to walk right in and get seated. We will definitely be going back. The staff is very friendly and just an overall friendly experience.

Southern Gentleman’s Barbering is hands down the best mans salon (barber shop) in Columbia. Highly recommend either location. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, with adult beverages to boot! Derek (AMAZING) even “convinced” my young teen how great a certain cut/style would look great on him that I had been pitching to him but he wasn’t buying. He has been loving the cut since he got it. Go to your hairs cut with these people already sheesh!

I started going to Southern Gentleman when they were only located in 5 Points. I found Crystal and she was excellent. She always does an outstanding job. Even though I lived far she was wroth the drive. Then I was thrilled to learn they opened a second location in Lexington and Crystal would be working there. Now she is closer and still delivers the excellent service and cuts she always did. If you are considering a new place for a haircut, look no further. Southern Gentleman is the place. The atmosphere is great and everyone is super friendly. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

So happy they have opened a location closer than the original location. The service is impeccable & cleanliness of the facility is superbly maintained. Appointments are not required but I recommend getting one since the size of the place is quaint.

Crystal is who I have seen for probably over a year now. She is excellent and when I come in the staff is great. Always quick to offer me a beverage while I wait and they keep shows on the TV I like while I wait. I always get compliments after I leave on my haircut. Highly recommend.

Found these guys over a year ago at their Five Points location. Best barber experience Ive had in my adult life. So when my boy Derek moved to this new location, I was more than willing to drive out here from the Northeast.My great grandfather and grandfather were old school barbers. I grew up going to the small town barbershop. A good barber shop should not only be a place where you get a good haircut and shave, but a place where you can relax and be social. I love arriving early just to enjoy the free beer and good conversations.Derek always gets my hair perfect and remembers all the special requests. He not only does a great straight razor shave but has given me great advice for hair and skin care.They are higher price than most, but its just like with cars or tattoos: you get what you pay for.

When Crystal moved to the Lexington store I gladly drive 30 minutes one way so she will continue to cut my hair as well as my boys. Ive tried other places and no one can replicate how great she cuts our hair. You wont regret using her. Also who doesnt enjoy a beer while waiting on their comfy chairs

After I moved and found out they had a new shop in Lexington that Crystal would be working at, I knew I could get a perfect haircut reasonably close to home.Crystal does a wonderful job and the cold beers are a nice touch.
