Took my car there to get a thermostat housing unit spent 471 dollars after they did extra little things I didnt ask for.. Now I have a coolant leak I didnt have before and the fan still dont work after they supposedly did a diagnotistic ki took it back for the one and only mechanic they have to look at and he cant do nothing I guess they think people got money to throw away...dont recommend plus you gotta wait a month just to get in there..save your money go elsewhere

Called to inquire about service for my car and decided to give a local garage my business. Three days later I arrive for my appointment and find this family run garage is like no other I have seen. The office is spotless. The owner even walked me out to my car to show me a small leak I wanted diagnosed. The shop area is so clean and organized, so cool to see this much pride in someones work area. They are an authorized APR dealer and had a wall full of go fast parts and t-shirts. (awesome shirt i bought). Really love this atmosphere. The employees are super honest and prices were better than others. Plus they are local so I don’t have to drive across town for service anymore! If you own a Volkswagon or Audi and haven’t been here yet....you really are missing out on what car service can and should be.

I love this place very friendly people got my APR TUNE and 35,000 mile maintenance done with them. Came out perfect exactly what i wanted and expected.. definitely will be using them from now on.. and will be recommending there services to everyone i know. Thank you guys once again

Excellent service experience with a good explanation of what was needed on our Audi Q5s front brakes. All the work was efficiently done and at a reasonable price (~60% of the local dealers quoted price). We plan on using Das Autohaus again for our Q5 and would gladly recommend them to other Audi/VW owners in the Lexington area.

The first impression is of a friendly staff hoping to get you back on the road. This impression lasts as they provide prompt and detailed diagnostics, then do good work at a fair price. As long as my Volkswagen stays on the road, I will be taking it to Das Autohaus for repair.

After struggling with car repairs through the dealer, a sales manager contacted me concerning a trade in as an option. When I shared with him that I could not possibly purchase a new car from him when his employer wouldnt be able to keep it up through their garage, he recommended Das Autohaus as an excellent option for vehicle repairs. Best knowledge of VW engines I have seen around. Completed a full timing chain/tensioner replacement job within 2 days. Car runs beautifully, will definitely take it in for a tune soon!

Very friendly, intelligent, and fair people. They retuned my Mk7 and they were very helpful and accommodating to me. They all had great attitudes and were very helpful in answering my questions. The shop they have is the cleanest shop Ive ever seen in my life. Its over a one hour drive from where I live and I wouldnt take my car anywhere else for anything.

I highly recommend Das Autohaus! They installed a resonator delete and hardwired a dash cam & radar detector in my S3 last year. To make a long story short, they installed everything flawlessly but there were a number of electronic interface issues between the finicky dash cam and the car’s security/electronic system. Even though this was an issue with the parts and not anything to do with their installation, they went above and beyond – putting in additional hours, doing independent research, and staying after hours, all without charging me for the extra work – to make sure everything functioned properly before they signed off on the job. Really genuine and knowledgeable folks, extremely fair prices, and incredible customer service – I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for your Audi/VW needs.

BEST SERVICE SHOP IN THE COLA/LEX AREA HANDS DOWN!!! When I first acquired my Audi S3, I was under the impression that no one besides Audi themselves were going to be able to service my car in Columbia. I am particularly picky on who touches my car, as it is my most valuable asset which I plan on keeping well past the 100k mile range, as well as one of my most time consuming hobbies. While I feel safe going to the dealership, the prices they charge can be, and usually tend to be outrageous. But, I did not feel safe letting anyone else handle it. Fast forward a few months after buying the car, I wanted more. I needed more power but I also needed peace of mind knowing who would be delivering more power to my car would be doing it right and Charlotte seemed to be the closest option. However, after discovering that Autohaus was an authorized APR dealer, I gave them a call and realized how devoted Shad and Allison and their team were to providing unbelievable service at unbelievable prices. They have been working on my car for two years now and have had an extensive list of upgrades. From chassis and suspension upgrades like springs and roll bars to vastly increasing engine power through exhaust, intake, and ECU upgrades, all of which have had zero issues since install. If I had not had Audi Care on my car already, I would not have paid for it and would have just brought it to Autohaus from the get-go. Seriously, you will not find a service shop within an hour of Columbia that knows the ins and outs of your vehicle while treating it as if it was their own. Shad and his team have taken my car to another level of fun and fast, but have kept it safe and ultra-reliable. From the average everyday 4 cylinders to tuned V10 powered supercars like the Audi R8, I have seen some pretty wild cars come through here and they always leave in better shape than they came in. Do yourself a favor and stop going to dealerships and third party shops that treat your car as just another customer in the door and go to Autohaus.

We have 2 VWs, and we dont take our cars anywhere else to have repairs done. Shad and Allison will let you know whats wrong with your vehicle, and will let you know what you can get done now, and what could be postponed until later.I was in the shop not too long ago, and someone called with an issue, and was told we can fix the issue, but while were there, itll just be the cost of the part, otherwise if that part breaks, itll be the labour time again, itd be cheaper and easier to just replace the one youre having issues with, plus the other part. I felt this was very fair, and shows that theyre looking out for the customers and not wanting to rip someone off.Id recommend this place to anyone that has a German car, or even domestic, as he prices are fair and the quality of work is excellent.

These people are amazing. They exceeded every expectation you have for a mechanic shop. When my car broke down on I26, on my way down to the beach, I brought it to them. I ended up having to leave it in their shop over the weekend and they did all they could to ensure I made it to my destination. Allison drove me, herself, to Enterprise. They called to make sure I made it later that night. And, when I picked my car up that Monday, they had it running, capable of getting me back home. They care about your car, as any mechanic should, but they care about people a lot more- which is something you rarely find.

The people who run Das Autohaus by far and away the pinnacle of customer service. It may be cliche but they really do treat you like family. Went to get an APR Plus Tune and while I did all my research they walked through all of it to make sure I understood the ins and outs of the service. Their shop was immaculate, the cleanest shop Ive ever stepped foot in. You will not find better quality and service then from Shad and Allison. I will always take my car there and have the confidence it will be done right.

Das Autohaus is hands down the best auto shop I have ever visited. Their prices are affordable and Shad is extremely knowledgeable in what he does and is always willing to share from his experience so that you learn as well. He will take the time to explain what hes doing, what you might expect down the road with your vehicle, and answer any questions you might have (and I had plenty). Ive never seen a shop that takes such time and care with their customers, and I will always take my car here while Im living in the area (Even though Im 1.5 hours away!).

I normally work on my own car but came from out of town to visit family and had no choice.Had to get my car untuned for vw to work on it and then retuned a few days later. Das Autohaus is a great place for your needs whatever they may be, great staff. I called in short notice and Allison and Shad got me right in to answer my needs, first to untune, then to retune. Ended up asking for an oil change on my way out and they accommodated me right away. Kind, friendly, and knowledgeable folks who do honest and great work. If Im ever back in town and needing a hand I trust to touch my car, this will be the place Id go to in a heartbeat!

Theres no surprise as to why Das Autohaus has a perfect review history. I have been taking my two VWs to Das Autohaus for 2 years (it really seems like it has been longer since Ive formed such a great relationship with Shad and Allison!) and I wouldnt go to any other mechanic while theyre still around. Shad has so much knowledge of the vehicles he services and he will work his way from the least evasive solution up (helpful for your pockets!). At the same time, he wont give you the run around if he knows exactly what the problem is - he wants to get you taken care of and he really values his work. Allison is great at keeping you updated on the labor costs and time frame, and upon many occasions has been so accommodating to my specific drop off/pick up needs. Many times she will even email me back after hours (even though I dont expect a response until the next business day)! I was literally blown away with my experience here. Allison and Shad were more than helpful. Their knowledge goes way beyond just Volkswagens and Audis. From start to finish, communication was clear and precise. Everything was so clean and pristine. Renovations and upgrades are in the works, and everything still looks great and organized. Everything was explained to me that was going to be done to my car. I wasnt sold any unnecessary services. Watching them interact as a couple will be enough to sell you. Im very, VERY picky when it comes to who touches my car. Im glad thisll be the new home for my CIVIC. Thats right. In spite of driving a non-German vehicle, my car was still treated with care as if it were a more expensive luxury vehicle. Everything was just perfect. Even the landscaping is immaculate. Everything is pleasing to the eye. If you dont go here, I feel bad for you. Even though my car has always been really quiet, (its a 2014,) its even quieter now. Great service. Mechanic works at a good speed. Reasonable prices. Very reliable. I had to rebuild a 2007 VW Passat motor due to some crushed pieces of metal flowing around. Das Autohaus did the job. This was in 2015. The car is still running today.Also, the mechanic is a veteran.optimist alpha.com

My experience with Das Autohaus was excellent. I was looking to purchase a Toyota in the surrounding area but needed an independent pre-purchase inspection completed on it before driving from out of state to purchase the vehicle. The folks at Das Autohaus fit me in at the last minute and performed a thorough inspection of the vehicle complete with photos and recommendations. After speaking with them about their findings, I had confidence in the condition of the vehicle and drove over to purchase the vehicle. I was not disappointed when I arrived.

I had a lingering issue with my vehicle that two different shops were unable to resolve. I stopped by Das Autohaus to discuss my vehicles problem with the owners and was impressed with their knowledge. A week later I took the vehicle to Das Autohaus and they fixed the problem within a few hours. Do not let the name fool you. I drove past the shop dozens of times thinking they specialized in European vehicles. They can fix any import or domestic vehicle. These are very knowledgeable and honest people.

They are very honest and do a great job.Although it states that they specialize in Audi, VW, they are very well versed in many males and models.I had my 06 TL and 06 Civic serviced there and both cars came out of there running like new.This place is probably the most honest and best place to get your vehicle serviced. I would recommend this place to anybody. Even if I lived over 30 min away, I would take my car to Das Autohaus. Cant beat the service or prices. Unless your vehicle is under warranty, takenit to these guys. You wont regret it.

I just recently purchased a 98 VW GTI VR6, and it immediately developed some transmission problems. I spoke with Shad on the phone for about a half hour as he ran me through some of the problems I could be having and gave me suggestions as to how to fix my issue. By the end of the conversation, the problem was more or less fixed. I ended up taking the car into them at the beginning of the next week to tweak my shifter linkage, and he fixed me up perfectly and affordably! He is a very upfront and honest man and has my business as long as I live in this town. To the people who live in downtown Columbia, it is more than worth the trip to Lexington to find an honest mechanic!

Their quality and service were truly exceptional. My 2000 Volkwagen Jetta was having shifting issues (turned out to be a bad clutch). I took it to Import Specialties in Columbia, where they kept it for 4 days only to tell me they couldnt detect any problems, charging me $79. There were clearly problems, and I next took it to Das Autohaus. Within a short 1-2 hours, they diagnosed and explained the problem, and also found that the transmission fluid was diluted (this was somehow missed by Import Specialties in 4 days time). They both replaced this fluid and topped off my oil for free, charging me only for the diagnosis labor time (also ~$79). When I brought it back for the repair, they made an effort to *show* me the car and explain the problems, including pictures to document what theyd done. Despite being young, a student, and northerner, I was treated with great respect. I would never hesitate to bring my VW back for servicing. My only complaint is their distance from downtown Columbia, where I live.

I know I will never be able to find anyone that will come close to the amazing customer service, honesty & great work that Chad & Allison provide at Das Autohaus. Chad always explained everything he did to my cars, and I never felt like I was paying for something I shouldnt have been, much like one feels with dealerships & other VW mechanics in the area. I had major work done on my Jetta wagon the day before moving to Texas, and Chad stayed late at the shop the day I picked up my car, just to make sure everything was running smoothly before I left town- he even said that he would stay as late as he needed if something wasnt ok the night before I left! I can, without hesitation, say that if you have a VW/Audi, GO SEE CHAD at Das Autohaus! He is THE BEST around!!!!

Oustanding service, very low price. My only complaint is they dont do work on weekends, which makes it hard to work my schedule to get my car in there.
