I was referred to Palmetto actually by another local shop who was honest enough to tell me that they could not figure out the Gremlins ruling my electrical system in my car. As a women I am very skeptical about mechanic shops. From the time I got in the door Mike, the owner was super cool, and made me feel comfortable. The customer area was super clean, and they even gave me a ride home in their shuttle. I felt very good about their approach to customer service. They had my car for 2 days, and discovered all that was wrong was a loose ground wire in the dash. My car was fixed for under a hundred dollars, and no more light blinking for the first time in over a year. I was prepared to pay hundreds of dollars simply due to the last shop charging me around $350 for what they said was electrical diagnostic and three weeks of having my car to no avail. But Palmetto was very fair, and reasonable. Thank you for the outstanding service from start to finish. I will definitely be back, but hopefully for just basic maintenance. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended!! New to the area and I was referred to these great gentlemen from the car dealership that I purchased my vehicle from. I was referred here by a friend. I met the owner Mike, and he was awesome. I had a weird issue with my car, and went to several other local shops, spent a lot of money, and it was never fixed. Palmetto State had my car for a day, and fixed it for a lot less than the other places. It has been a week and my car is running better than ever. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I highly recommend this shop. I am somewhat of a novice mechanic myself, and knew basically what it needed, but I am too old to do it myself in this case. I got a few quotes in the area, and between ridiculous pricing, and up charging I got very frustrated. I took it to Mike, and they only fixed what was needed for a very fair price, and pretty quick also. The shop is very clean, and customer friendly. They got my business, and should have yours.

Took my car to theses guys a few times, after getting the run around at another local highly recommended shop. Mike the owner is awesome, upfront, and honest. They got my wifes car running great, only fixing what was needed. No upsales, no bs. Just great service, and customer service.

Love, love this place! As a single lady who doesnt anything about cars, I feel really comfortable with Mike. I had a issue and like most I shopped around. Came in Tuesday of this week. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the customer area. I already had an idea of what was wrong with my car, and the counter guy was very helpful and polite. They got my car in the back and began working on it as a priority because I had to wait. My car was ready after only a couple of hours, and the price was extremely fair. I will be recommending Palmetto State to all of my friends, and family.

Came here for the first time last week. I was very pleased with the service, and the knowledge of the staff. The waiting room area was super clean, and the service was great. They were not pushy, and did not try to give me the old, you need this and that. Highly recommended.

Very satisfied with the service I got. I am a single woman who is very skeptical of taking my car to shops due to past experiences. The guys there where very helpful, and I was very comfortable. The waiting room is nice, and is away from the work area so it was nice not having to hear all of the noise that comes with car repair. I would recommend them to anyone, and I will be back. I came by with no appointment when my car literally started to shake going down Hwy 1. I was greeted by an younger guy who was very friendly (and cute lol) and told him what was going on. He was extremely knowledgeable and they took my car in right then. After they looked at it, and found out what was wrong it was going to be awhile before it would be ready. These guys gave me a ride home, and when my car was ready they even came and took me back the the shop to pick it up. My little lady is running great too. I never write reviews but they definitely deserve the praise from me. I highly recommend them!

These guys were pretty quick and very reasonable on their prices. Not the prettiest of places but thats why you arent paying for overhead here. Also the owner (Im assuming) is the ASE mechanic and is very knowledgeable and was on site working with the guys. Im a hands on guy and would normally do the work myself because I wouldnt want to pay an arm and a leg but that wasnt the case here. Ill refer anyone to this shop.

After a horrible experience that almost brought me to tears down the road at another shop, I came by Palmetto in hopes to get help with my Camry. I am glad I did. Not only was Mike the kindest guy ever, his mechanics had no issue patiently explaining to me the issue with my car. I do ask a lot of questions, but it is my money being spent after all, and I like to know what it is being spent on.They gave me a quote which was almost $200.00 cheaper than the rude crooks down the road, and even gave me a ride home so I would not have to call someone. They had my car completely fixed the next day, and it runs great. Palmetto State Auto is super honest, and very kind, even to old ladies who ask a million questions. Thank you Mike, and your staff, I will be back, and recommend you to everyone I know.

As I was taking my son to the doctor this morning, I had an experience with an assumed employee of this establishment. I am assuming that he was an employee as he was a passenger in a vehicle advertising this company. The company vehicle was coming out of a driveway and I did not see it. As I slowed to stop for the traffic light, I blocked the driveway. I noticed to my right that the passenger of the company vehicle had opened his door to stand and say something. I downed my passenger window and asked what he said, with which he replied, so you are going to block the driveway and we cant get out. I simply told him I didnt see them. Which I hadnt until it was too late for me to stop and leave enough room for them to get out. At that point the passenger of the company vehicle gave me the middle finger. I found that disrespectful and unnecessary, so I pulled over to see if he wanted to discuss the issue. Of course, his courage disappeared quickly. I write all of this to say, I may not be able to speak to the quality of service performed, but to speak to the quality of individual representing the company. First, I dont owe you the right to egress from the driveway in that situation, even if I had seen you. Second, I dont appreciate your gesture in front of my child. Third, consider the lack of common sense that you displayed by behaving the way you did in a vehicle with advertisements and phone numbers on that vehicle. I wouldnt think that you are the owner considering your actions, but nonetheless your actions reflect on the business. I will tell as many people as I can about the experience and the quality of individual that I encountered. Maybe I should not have stopped to confront this person, but I did. Fortunately nothing occurred and we moved on, but avoidable situations like this occur all the time with not so fortunate results. This world could use a little more respect for one another. With that said, I apologize for my actions and for allowing your ignorance and disrespect to impact me.After making my initial post regarding my experience this morning, I not only received the response of my review, but I also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Mike. Mike clarified that the person that I had a problem with was not an employee of his. He was apologetic for the series of events, as was I. I stated previously that the actions reflected poorly on the business, but I can tell you now that the dialogue Mike shared with me regarding the incident reflect a whole lot more favorably then those of the individual this morning. I appreciate Mikes willingness to listen and respond to the incident. I can only imagine that if he treats his customer in the same manner that he treated me (not a customer) he will continue to receive favorable reviews. Mike, thanks for listening to and addressing my concern.

Clean waiting area, stress free repair. What I enjoyed the most was that they were cheaper than your normal greasy shop, and the waiting area rivals any dealership without the dealership price. I will be back.

Had my vehicle for over a week and a half and never even popped my hood to do a diagnostic. Other cars kept coming in and pushing me to the back - used car dealerships take precedence over street business. I was lied to about 3 different times my car was supposed to be looked at. I finally told them to put my keys in the Jeep, took it to Auto Pros, and got it back in 4 days. I dont have time for people that are going to misrepresent where I am in a cue or ignore promises.
