We took a good friend out on the Miss Gloria for the dinner cruise, the trip was off the chart great. Gina the cruise director and all of her boat crew and captain where GREAT.the boat pulled out on time right at 7:30 and then they started serving dinner, the food was Great really good.After dinner almost everybody was out side and upstairs on the open air deck.The next thing I know just about everyone is on the dance floor having a blast.A great big thank you to Gina and her crew.I would highly recommend this cruise 🛳 great Date night.

We did the Mother’s Day Brunch cruise, and it was pretty terrible. It was a two hour cruise, but we were only on the water for 45 minutes because they said winds were too high. The wind was not exceptionally high to me nor appeared to be causing any major white caps, but I’m not a sea captain. My main complaint was the inefficiency of the buffet. They had one line and were making to-order omelets. Of the 2 hour cruise, my husband spent 1 hour and 15 minutes in line waiting while I was alone above with our kids. We also noted the manger and crew eating while we still had not been served. When we finally got our food, the cruise was over. The food was cafeteria level at best. We paid right at $190 for 2 adults and 2 kids so I expected food to be a little better. We also had a nightmare getting our ticket validated to get out of parking lot because credit card machine wasn’t working (I think this is separate company but it still made for a rough trip out).Other complaints which may be unique to our preferences included:-excessively loud, not family friendly music-not toddler friendly/safe

Very nice and spacious and clean boat.. yesterday we were there for a dinner cruise, the boat departed on time, the food was delicious, the captain and the crew did an amazing job and the manager Gina was so courteous and dedicated to customers satisfactionWill definitely go back again

We just got home from the Fathers Day cruise and I am being generous to give this a 3-star rating. First, upon arrival, we had no idea where to go once we parked. We asked a variety of people and nobody seemed to be able to answer. After spending 20 minutes walking around in the entirely wrong direction, we took off our shoes and had to run to the opposite side, only to still be confused as to where we were going. The directions were not clear at all and, again, nobody seemed to know where the Abigail Rose was located. We got onto the boat only to find inadequate seating. The food was not worth the money we paid, as not only was the barbeque not warm, but there wasnt enough for everyone. The menu specifically listed potato salad, which I was looking forward to having as the only side I would eat, however they served cole slaw instead and I refuse to eat that. So, I only ate one small piece of chicken and paid $65? The boat doesnt seem cleaned and cared for. I would say that this type of party could be scheduled for only 2 hours, as it was a very hot day and most didnt get into the water. The other boats had music and it seemed fun, however our boat had a fun factor of zero! No music, no entertainment whatsoever, and just no hospitality. Disappointed!

We had an incredibly positive experience at this boat rental. We got there late by over an hour, Ashton the person who was in charge of our reservation, got us situated very quickly, so we could use our time. Not only that, but he extended our reservation with the amount we’re late. Way to go!

Such an easy and seamless set up. Got to the dock, walked to the boat and it was all set up to go. Ashton was a huge help in figuring everything out. We had the best time!! Highly recommend!

So, I’ve never ridden in or driven a wave runner so I was super excited about this experience! My husband and I went with a small group of friends (6 altogether including us). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, they explained the rental rules and how to work the wave runner, as well as what to do in an emergency situation. They provided us with life vests also. However, I was really disappointed because they gave us the the most visibly worn water craft. The seat leather was completely ripped up and off, exposing the foam material underneath. The staff member assured us that although it looked bad it rode well. As there we were told no other wave runners were available, we took the beat up one. It did ride well, but it it left me with rug-burn like marks on the back of my thighs to the point that I couldn’t even continue to ride for the last 30 minutes of a 2-hour ride purchase. I was so uncomfortable. Other than skin irritation from the ripped seating I enjoyed my time out on the lake,. I’d go again but hopefully receive a better wave runner!

Did the Father’s Day brunch an it was a complete rip off. Per buying tickets, we was suppose to board the Ms Gloria boat an Sail was to begin at 11:30. Do to rain we sat on the boat until the rain stop. At 1pm was told we was clear to set sail. We was not aware that we would have to switch boats. At that, a smaller boat. Then we only sailed out for 1 hour. Keep in mind this was suppose to be for 3 hours. They could have offered us a rain check. Complete waste of money. Highly dissatisfied.

Online information says seating for three on wave runners. We get there and they only allow two per. There were three of us and we asked if we could do 2 for an hour instead of 1 for 2 hours because of this and they refused. Also, reading through the waivers you sign, one of them says you will be responsible for damage to the craft even if it is due to negligence by the company. Beware.This on top of the girl who answers their phone from another location and cant answer simple questions. Can I rent for an hour? Yes, its $85 for an hour. So its $85 to rent for an hour? Yes, but the minimum is two hours. And when we called back trying to find the place she directed us to the wrong part of the marina.

We rented a wave runner last weekend. I recommend getting there at least 15 min early to listen to their spill and sign waivers. Since it took 15 min the go over everything they extended an extra 15 minutes which was nice. However, at our original time we received a call wondering where we were because they had a “private session”. When we arrived ON TIME-the staff was standing on the dock pointing to their watch and trying to rush us to get off... that was a little disappointing considering the price we paid for this rental. We are hesitate to return and will look elsewhere simply do to customer service.

Everything went smoothly. However, it’s interesting how customers are required to wear masks/cover their faces per the sign on the door when none of the 5 employees covered their faces while we were there. They had the masks resting below their chins the entire time. Just seems like a double standard.

The booking process needs some work. I wanted to rent a tube with our ski boat and had to do it as a separate transaction AFTER renting the boat. It should all be under one transaction.The teenage girl that answered the phone didnt have a pleasant demeanor on the phone and sounded annoyed that she had to talk to me.Check-in was as expected. The young men that took care of us were very friendly and respectful.As soon as we got past the no-wake buoys, I ramp up the speed to see what this boat can do. It took about 15 seconds for it to plane and reach its full speed. It shouldnt take that long. I noticed after a few moments that it lost a little power and there were some vibrations so I pulled back the throttle a bit. Since it seemed to do ok after that and we were still traveling at a decent speed, I wasnt too worried about it. Throughout the next 3 hours, I kept noticing the same thing happening. So I kept babying it.Eventually, the boat stopped planing on the water. It just didnt have any power to get us going fast enough. Its not too fun riding a tube behind a boat that wont go.Since the boat was limping, we started traveling back towards the marina to use the rest of our time closer to it. On the way back, we decided to just take the boat back 30 minutes early since it wasnt working properly and we werent able to enjoy using it anymore. It ended up taking 45 minutes to travel 3.5 miles back to the dock.When greeted by the guys at the dock, I told them about the problems that we faced. But they just brushed it off as if it was strange that that wouldve happened. Then one of them tells me that the boat was JUST in the shop a couple of days prior. There was nothing done about anything except a lackluster Im sorry. I paid to rent a fully functioning boat for 4 hours - not for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I thought they might refund us for the last hour of our troubles off the boat rental fee. I thought that they might waive the $70+ in gas. I thought they might refund the tube fee ($40).Nope. They offered me nothing.If they had made SOME attempt to make it right, I couldve given them another star... possibly two... or maybe forgiven the whole ordeal and not even written this review. I know things are sometimes going to break or not work as they should, but when you make no effort, you lose integrity.

People here are great! The customer service was above and beyond! Will really took care of us and Matthew was very informative and knowledgeable when it came to the skis and the boat. Great job guys!

Under powered, over priced, poorly maintained ski boats.We rented a SKI BOAT from Sams Docks Sunday August 9th for 4 hours.The staff was friendly and helpful and the boat didnt break down. Thats about it for positives.Although they advertised a Ski Boat with 300HP that would be perfect for any skiing, wake boarding or tubing we wanted to do, what we got was a beat up bow rider sport boat that struggled to plane even before there was anything being towed. These boats dont have enough power to pull a wake board or skier. If thats what you want to do at the lake, these will let you down.The drivers seat was extremely loose, rocking wildly left and right all day. Looking underneath, the screws holding the chair to the mount where backed all the way out.The speedometer didnt work and the steering wheel had substantially excess play .Cosmetically the boat was clean but really beat up. Chips and gouges out-of the fiberglass finish all over the place, the passenger side windshield had been replaced with glass that didnt fit the frame, leaving a 2 inch gap between the top of the glass and the metal window frame.The bottom line is that the boats are very poorly maintained, under powered and not well suited to the activities they specifically rent them for. All of this, and they are hands down the most expensive rentals around and will never refund your money after you book with them, for any reason.We have since found that there are plenty of private charters available in the area for less money, waaaay better boats that are legit wake / ski boats! Best of all they come with a captain, all the toys you need and most will fully refund if you have to cancel as long as you give at least 24hrs notice.Should have done some looking around before renting at Sams. Hopefully this will help some of you avoid making the same mistake.

The management at Pier 121 Marina are thieves. There are a lot of thieves that have boat slips at Pier 121 marina. Con artist Marti goes around stealing from everyone at the marina because he cannot get a job. I highly recommend do not go into this place.

I had such a great time here..they make it so easy to rent a boat..i just reserved it and paid for it..all you need is a Drivers License and a credit OR debit card! My DL was out of state and they said it was fine to use. The boats are super easy to drive...it is LITERALLY JUST like a car! i went two weekends in a row lol..you will love it..trust me! just make sure you are keeping track of where you are while boating... bc we got lost one time...had to flag down another boat for directions lol..but we made it back in time! oh THEY ALSO LET THE DRIVER DRINK WHILE DRIVING THE BOAT AYYYYYY LOL

On Friday June 22, 2018, my Class of 1983 hosted a Reunion sail on Lake Lewisville. I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise of the lake with our party however, while out on the water we experienced spiders and webs throughout the upper portion of boat that made a bit hard to get comfortable. The lower part of our boat was extremely hot considering it was equipped with air conditioning. We received substandard service as it pertains to the preparation for our sail.

Excellent boat.Very nice and fun staff. You can tell that they are trying to make sure you have a good time because theyre always asking if theres anything they can do for you :-)

To make a long story short, 40+ people boarded Sams Docks boat on Sept. 2, 2019. We were charged $105.16 per couple. We waited on the boat for over an hour because of an engine concern. The boat never left the dock and we were NEVER reimbursed for our 3 hour boat ride.Those in charge have ducked and dodged our questions and reimbursement for almost three months now. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!

Difficult to find way to marina or stand inside marina. Lots of paperwork before you can get out on the boat. Seems other renters make it easier to get out on the water easily and just as many types of boats.

Our event isnt until later this year but the customer service that Ive received has been awful. Gina is extremely rude. This woman called me for a payment 4 times in one month when the arrangement was made on the first call. She yells and she is very pushy like collecting on a bill. Now, i understand the rental has to be paid but the way she acts is very uncalled for. Once you start putting money down, theres no refund, period so if ive been sending pay then WHY are you constantly harassing me!? The worst they could be out is a cancelled reservation and they will be OK! Jeez Louise. I cannot wait til the event is done and over. She makes me wanna just cancel my wedding and go to the courthouse and i wouldnt care about the money weve already paid to her.
