I can’t say enough about this shop. I’ve used them twice for several issues and modifications on my 2005 Ford Excursion 6.0. They are fast, do great work, keep me updated, and prices are great. I will continue to be a customer for all my future needs. Thank you.
Great shop. Very Hard working, honest and pleasant to work with. They repaired my 2014 Dodge for 1/2 The cost of the dealership and im back out running hot shot transportation. Thanks Again!!!
Great customer service. Always keeps me updated on any issues. Fixed on time, always runs great when i get it back. I recommend this shop whenever you need any work on your diesel pickup. Great mechanics are really hard to find.
This is the second time I have used this shop for repairs to my F250 and both times they did outstanding on correcting my problems. They know there stuff!I would highly recommend this shop for all your needsGregg G
STAY Away!!!! Google wouldnt let me add my whole review as it was too long so see attached photos for complete review. I have the text and screen shoots to back my review as well.Update.........Since she is flat out lying I will now upload screen shoots of all text. Update: Google wont allow my images of screenshots of text. Building a site that will have all of it uploaded Soon! And everyone will be able to see lie after lie. Even the lies in her response to this review. You have aslo been reported to the BBB and will be reporting this business to the attorney general as well. You never said anthing about a diagnostic charge. The invoice dose not ethier. I will also be filing with my credit card company for fraudulent charges if I dont receive a full refund. My truck was dropped of March 30th. And took you all until April 2nd to tell me what was wrong then I paid the deposit on the April 2nd. At that time I was promised it would be completed by the 9th. And in multiple texts you told me it was on the lift as it was being worked on and would be fine in a couple days. Then on the 16th I found out you all havent even stared as of yet. So your cough in more lies. As my truck was there 17days you all havent even touched it!Second update.....Its only Defamation if it is not true. And I have evidence of everything. Your lies are in text messages. Aso proof you were ignoring my text until I contacted you with another number. And your in the wrong business of you dont even know the value of a 2015 ram 2500 loaded Laramie with 80k miles.
Fair pricing and honest! Definitely my go to place from now on when in need of a diesel shop.
Nancy is great as well as her crew. They did a total rebuild of my 6.0l 2006 F250 engine. I wanted a total rebuild from bottom end up, they did it. Had 151k plus miles and both head gaskets had failed. Bulletproofed it, sent me pics of the progress for me. I requested all new components to upgrade/bulletproof, new sensors etc. Due to Covid machine shop was a little behind as well some of her technicians being out. The truck sounds great, runs great so far. Got to go thru the break in period before I really know how she runs so dont get behind me just pass me. Nancy, and NTX Diesel took care of me and my truck. These diesel trucks are expensive to repair, ill tell you that they are a great shop and have great prices. Saved me some money without cutting any corners! Thank you!
They were very helpful to us!.. Thank y’all!!
Very unprofessional won’t answer phone calls takes forever to get any info on the vehicle being worked on. 10/10 would take somewhere else.
NTX Diesel received our truck after All Makes next door decided they would rather have the experts look at our truck. We received a call the next day from NTX Diesel, and they stated what they thought the problem was, and what it would cost to fix. They were spot on, did what needed to be done, and at the quoted price. Actually had them do an oil change since we were driving to Chicago with the truck in 3 days time. We completed the round trip to Chicago with no issues. I know that when we need the next service work done on our 2004 Silverado, it will be traveling to NTX Diesel. Thanks for being a shop with integrity...not all stores are. Great customer service!
They r some good people do quality work
I went in thinking I had one problem (an expensive problem). The staff there stopped what they were doing, took a look, and did a simple fix. They are honest and easy to do business with. I highly recommend them. I will definitely be going back for all of my Diesel engine work.
This shop is the quintessential independent shop. You can expect very reasonable pricing with a personal touch. The techs are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. On multiple occasions, tech Jeremy has pulled away from a vehicle he was working on to come answer a question or perform a quick fix. The owner, Nancy, even took my calls after hours to help me and my family limp our way back from a road trip.I have never been up-charged, in fact, I’ve been given recommendations on work I can do myself to save money and time. One look at the shop and you can tell they are not hurting for work and there is no need to convince me to spend money on stuff I don’t need. All work has been performed within a very reasonable timeframe, with any delays being clearly communicated. Being able to text with the owner has been a great help since I have had my Excursion at the shop while I was working and couldn’t easily take calls. I definitely intend to use this team for as long I keep my 6.0.
The folks are the real deal. They are upfront, honest, fair and pretty amazing human beings in general not to mention their amazing ability to properly fix your diesel! The customer service is top notch! If they are unable to answer your call, you get immediate texts and that was fantabulous! They have my business for life!!!
It is terrible that the negative comments posted are such a personal attack with no backup visibility of facts and details while the shop owner is so willing to opening expose everything for one to make their own determination of right or wrong (most recent run for your life review). That openness for me really speaks volumes towards the integrity of North Texas Diesel. They are always honest and completely open with any work theyve ever done on my truck and from what Ive witnessed, they do it with everyone who passes through their doors. Such a high level of honesty is really hard to find these days, especially with diesel shops because there is such a uniqueness and complexity when working on diesels. Not too many places try to inform and educate at the level that North Texas Diesel does. It is comforting to get that kind of treatment. For me - I have never left this shop dissatisfied one bit with service, price, quality or any part of the overall experience. Nancy and the guys always provide top notch service and that service quality is what keeps me coming back. The reason for my review here and now is to commend and give thanks to North Texas Diesel because they went above and beyond for me on a recent job. One that had me pretty worried and concerned could ever get fixed. I truly consider it a blessing that I can call on them to handle not only the normal service but also the serious work like what was just completed. Thanks North Texas Diesel!See you soon but hopefully not too soon!! :-)
I had an issue with my 2006 Ford super duty, and I called NTX Diesel. They told me to come on in, and drop it off. Not 45 minutes later, they told me they found the problem, which they had told me was the probable cause. A few hours later, the truck was fixed, and a whole lot cheaper than the Ford dealership wanted to charge me. When I first saw their shop, I had my reservations, but as we were all told as children, ‘don’t judge a book by the cover’. These folks here are super knowledgeable and very kind. I strongly urge any diesel owners to use this shop as ‘their shop’. Much like barbers, this is the only place for me!! Thank you so much for your help.
Had an issue with the turbo on my 2005 6.0 F250 right before heading out of town for spring break. They got everything repaired with a super fast turnaround! Only did the necessary repairs and were very honest and the price was right! Saved our spring break! Pulled my 5th wheel with no issues! Truck runs like new! Thanks!
Thank You Nancy and your team for taking your time and getting to the bottom of my turbo issue!!! 2 other shops told me I needed a new $2000.00 turbo. Nancy techs replaced a bad Turbo solenoid and got me back the road!!! Thank you!!! I was going to call you but since I am typing, you where right again I had my Allison transmission serviced with new filters and she shifts perfect again!!!
Great place. They fixed my F250 at a fair price, and they had it ready when they said they would. They only fixed what needed to be repaired. Theyre honest and fair. Its the only place Ill take my truck from now on!
I’ve worked with NTX a few times now for various issues with my F250 6.7-L powerstroke. They are more than fair and do great work. They take pride in their work. I will not ever use another shop for my diesel.
They were very helpful with my F350 and diagnosing my problems. The work was finished on time and for less than the original estimate. This is saying a lot considering its a 6.4. This shop does quality work, quick to respond, and wont sell you anything you dont need. I intend to install a fuel system and cold air intake and this shop will be doing the work! Great job!
I highly recommend North Texas Diesel. You will find great customer service and knowledgeable owners.I took my F250 to other shops where they guessed at what the issues were. They then gave me one estimate that was followed by an explanation that what they were going to do may not fix my truck. My truck would need more repairs which would increase the final price.NTX Diesel took one look at my truck, knew what the problem was and successfully fixed it. The price was great and the repairs were completed quickly. I will not take my truck anywhere else.
Great place very friendly. Will go back & send people to them. Honest people
My 6 liter F250 was losing coolant and was becoming hard to start when warm, especially as summer heated up. When I called and talked to Nancy, she said they could diagnose the problem if I left the truck with them a day or so. Their tests showed bad head gaskets, probably from the head studs stretching...as OEM Ford studs do. Shes very knowledgeable about this engine and we decided to replace the oil cooler, injector O-rings, standpipe, etc. as they will already have the engine torn down. I asked them to repair my ac as well, since it cycles hot sometimes, just after blowing cold the minute before. After putting the engine back together, they found a problem with a restriction in the ac lines and replaced the dryer. Everything works great now and the final bill was around $500 less than the first estimate. Very happy with their work and the great customer service they provide.
Id been dealing with a low-power, high-EGT, low-boost condition on my 2001 7.3 for a couple years. Two different shops just kept telling me this was normal and that the truck was performing as well as it could (pulling like a one-legged dog). At least $3000 later, I drove it down to NTX. After 30 minutes I had all the boost and power I could want (Exhaust gas back pressure sensor). Theres obviously no substitute for experience when it comes to these engines.
Came here around one in the afternoon on a friday for a fuel leak. Only replaced what was needed to be replace and didnt try to sell me parts. Was in and out in about 30 minutes and it only cost parts and labour 75 dollors. Cant beat that, honest and quick hard to come by now days. I will come back for more work. Thank you for taking the truck late in the afternoon.
Can not be any happier with our experience here!!! Took our F250 6.0 diesel to multiple shops who kept saying nothing was wrong but the truck continued to idle out and leave us stranded on highways. Nancy knew exactly what was wrong without even looking at the truck. She called us late in the evening to talk to us about our options and bringing in the truck. We received constant communication and even pictures throughout the repair process!! We ended up spending a little more than we anticipated but I dont feel like we were robbed at all and I truly think we got our moneys worth. You get what you pay for and this place is reasonable and def worth every penny. We wont be taking the truck anywhere except here going forward! Thank you guys!!
Run for your life, if you are looking to do anything other than a basic diesel oil change just run. To Nancy Matter you do not MATTER. The woman is the worst customer service provider in the world and is too egotistical to swallow her pride and help her customers. Her mechanics are great guys but unfortunately are at her mercy and are forced to do their best to live up to the unrealistic expectations that she spews. I would not with the experience that I had with her on anyone. There is a good reason she is not accredited by the BBB. I had them do a Jeep engine replacement and it was a complete nightmare, a job that she never should have accepted and put on her mechanics but she did. A year later and I am still dealing with issues caused by her and when given the opportunity to make it all right with a simple inspection she refused which goes a long way to show that once she gets her money she does not care what happens. If she went out of business today it would be none too soon. Do not get anything more than routine maintenance done her. Someone supporting a military foundation should be a more honest person, she does nothing but drag down anything connected to her.
YOU COULD HAVE HAD SOME BUSINESS IF YOU WERE HONEST!!Had my truck gone over by two close friends that are both diesel mechanic’s just did have the time to replace a couple injectors and pcm at the moment so I figured hey, there’s a diesel shop up the road I can take it to and have a few things done and get my truck back on the road. I got it to North Texas diesel and left it over night for them to go over when they get a chance. The next morning I get a “text” saying your engine is toast and you need a new short block. You get to talk to them on the phone about money but everything else is via “text”. First off of your going to run a business and try to get $10k out of me, call me, have me come up and run some test in front of me to justify a new short block. I get a “text” with a picture of a drain plug sitting on a box with metal shavings like crazy saying your engine is bad and going to have to build a new short block. I arranged a tow truck to meet me there and snatch it up. Tell me, how to you send me a picture of my drain plug sitting on a box with metal shavings but all he old oil is still in the engine? I got it home, pulled the plug and not a single piece of metal on it after moving it from street to driveway. I went as far as taking a extension magnet and running it through the 5 gallon bucket of old oil multiple times and not a single piece of metal in oil in front of numerous people. A couple new injectors knocked out, replaced the pcm, all new glow plugs and some fresh oil and whalla!!! I told this company I didn’t know much about diesels and they tried to take advantage of me. Did you drain, filter my old oil and put back the old oil just to send me a picture of a drain plug that wasn’t even mine? If your going to try and pull that at least put a little more oil on the drain plug and let’s make this a little bit more real looking. A almost clean plug covered in metal doesn’t fool me. You might be able to con someone else into this game but NOT ME and sad think is we know a lot of the same people, you just didn’t know and thought you’d pull one over on me. ***Anyone else got a picture of a drain plug covered in metal sitting on a box with a shipping label dated 071718? *** Almost like a generic pic you send out to con people into thinking their truck is blown up.
This shop is top notch fixed my truck on Friday afternoon. These people care about you. Any other shop would make you wait till Monday.
Great people and great service. I highly recommend them for any diesel service. 😎
So I wanted to wait until after my 2000 mile road trip to write this review. Holy smokes they are absolutely awesome at NTD. I brought my 2006 Ford f350 6.0 to them for a bulletproof diesel oil cooler install as well as exhaust, intake, and blue spring mod. They ended up finding that my egr was not deleted like the dealership said and got the part overnighted from BPD. Pricing was incredibly fair and they finished everthing in 2 days. My truck ran like a Swiss watch on the long road trip. Very friendly and knowledgeable I would recommend NTD to anyone who wants diesel work done.
Had my truck fixed there, they were very helpful, have a very good shop rate, and perform good work.
I have taken my truck to NTX Diesel twice now and both times their team has far surpassed my expectations.First time was to repair injectors that another shop had installed a month before. Turns out the other shop put cheap after market injectors and they failed. The mechanics replaced the injectors and Nancy even worked to get another 2 that were failing replaced under ford warranty. The other shop didnt even attempt warranty replacement so Nancy definitely went above and beyond to help save me moneyThe second time I literally just drove in from out of town. Nancy was out but the mechanic stopped what he was doing to diagnose my issue (low oil pressure indicator and loss of power) . I just drove the truck 1100 miles and noticed significant performance issues. Prior to leaving my origin location I had the truck checked out and was told the turbo was going out by one mechanic (quoted me $2200) and another mechanic said he didnt know what was wrong without tearing truck down (quoted $800 to diagnose only). Knowing I had a great team in NTX Diesel back home I risked the drive. As soon as I arrived in town I drove right into the shop and the mechanic took about 45mins to properly diagnose. He immediately identified the issue as a bad fuel filter (total: $216 for fuel filter replacement and labor to properly diagnose). Drove truck back, another 1100 miles and she ran great!Im extremely greatful for NTX Diesels honesty and fair pricing.Needless to say I highly recommend them!
Have you ever been taken advantage of at a vehicle repair shop? I have. But that all changed when I took my truck to North Texas Diesel. I was treated with respect and honesty. Two words that are rarely associated with vehicle repair. I do not give out this type of rating often unless I am highly impressed. That is exactly what I am. The owners of NTX Diesel are the best in the business. They can fix any issue with authentic expertise which boasted my confidence in the repair process. The pricing is much less than other shops with service that is higher. A win-win situation.I want to personally thank, Nancy. You are an outstanding individual. I am honored to know you. I have always felt that a target was on my back the second I walked into other auto repair places. That target being that I do not know a lot about the specifics of auto repair and could be charged more because of that lack of knowledge. I did not feel this for one second at NTX Diesel. Nancy walked me thru the repair process and treated me with dignity and understanding. Customers here are treated equally and honestly.NTX Diesel has a heart for service and gives back to the community in several ways. I encourage you to join in their efforts.I am now and will continue to be a life long supporter of North Texas Diesel. I thank you for everything!
This place cost me THOUSANDS! They lie over the phone, text, and too your face.December 27th of 2013 I got bad diesel and blew up my motor, I dropped my truck off in April of 2014 at NTDP and was told they would tear it down and let me know what the problem was when they got an opening which was fine as I was in no hurry. May 7th I get pictures and text of damage to motor confirming what we already knew. So from there I told them to park it in the back and hold on until I had funds to do a full rebuild or buy a crate motor. Couple months go by and I give them the go ahead to start. Few month go by and havent heard anything so I check in on them on August 6th and they told me they was fixing to send the parts off to have Schied Diesel go through them and order the new parts I wanted because I was going to build a more than stock motor, I said ok thats fine and took pictures of my truck and ruined parts. 1 month goes by and I couldnt get them on the phone or to reply by text for a full week and then they finally relply on September 10th and they continue to tell me they are waiting on parts from Schied and a head core even though they said mine was rebuildable (which it wasnt). After being ignored until September 21st they told me they had a client with a built motor for sale that they tried selling me but never got anything done since I couldnt get them to reply. Which was funny because then they would of had to pay for the parts they supposedly sent off already and ordered. I got ignored and blown off until October 13th which was just more lies about it being worked on and excuses as to why they wont answer calls for weeks or days at a time. Didnt hear anything until October 29th and they told me my block had just got back from machine shop and then I asked about head, injectors, cam, ect and got told she would check on it. Didnt hear anything back until November 3rd after several calls and text, didnt really get any kind of update, just excuses. November 10th they actually replied to the first text and said they was waiting on parts from Scheid and that they was having trouble but was documenting everything for me because of trouble they was having with Scheid. Finally on November 17th of 2014 I called Schied Diesel myself and asked them about my parts, Schied had never received any parts from North Texas Diesel or ever heard of them and the person I talked to asked everyone in the office and called me back the next day with a confirmation that they had not sent parts or even talked to schied about it. So finally I text them November 18th and told them I was getting my truck the next morning. November 20th I have Sargents Towing from Weatherford, TX meet me at North Texas Diesel and load up my truck and all the parts. North Texas Diesel put what I thought at the time all of my parts in the bed and a check with my money that I had paid them as a down payment upfront to order parts which was about half of what they estimated me for the full rebuild minus labor to tear the motor down which I was completely fine with because they did tear it down and stored my truck for months and waited on me to get the money to pay for the motor. Truck got loaded up and hauled to Texas Diesel Power in Weatherford and they started laying out parts from inside my bed and seeing what all was there and what all was missing. On December 5th TDP tell me that all 6 injectors had been improperly stored and was ruined, so I had to order 6 new injectors out right with no cores even after I sent in what I had ($3,800). My ECM was missing ($2,500). Along with tons of other parts that were either missing or broken or ruined. In all NTDP cost me $9,132.00 from lost or ruined parts the whole build cost me $21,190. I have a full list and detailed receipt of such along with every text message exchanged and pictures of everything. I had plenty of evidence to sue them and win but didnt because Im a nice guy. But leaving this review is worth it. Stay away from these people. These are not all of the screen shots but you get the idea.
On 5/8/17, I was considering buying a 2003 Isuzu NPR to move my family across the country. I wanted to assure that the truck was safe and wouldn’t need any major repairs. On 5/10 I contacted NTX Diesel and made an appointment for a pre-purchase inspection. While setting the appointment, I informed Nancy (the owner) that I would like to know if there were any major issues that would need to be immediately addressed and to know if the truck was safe.I let Nancy know that I was aware the truck needed an oil change and an alignment at minimum. She informed me that NTXD does not do alignments. After the truck had been inspected Nancy called me and gave me the following list of repairs: one headlight was out, the taillight casing was broken, an oil change, the front tires were wearing on the inside and needed to be replaced (because it supposedly, needed an alignment)I was comfortable with the repairs and purchased the truck. I had the reassurance that no major repairs were detected and that the truck was in overall great shape.I made an appt for an alignment. As soon as the truck was jacked up they told me they couldn’t do an alignment because the kingpins had to be replaced. The tech said this was a safety issue and I shouldn’t drive the truck. The shop confirmed that if NTXD’s inspection was completed properly, they should have caught this issue. The wheels significantly rocked in and out when moved from the top and bottom. The dealership quoted me over $1.5k to do the work. I found the parts online and found another shop that could do the work. This shop also confirmed this is a major safety concern and should have been caught in the inspection that was completed by NTXD.On 6/14 I was contacted by the owner of the new shop with some bad news. The techs were unable to replace the kingpin because of the condition of the front steering knuckles and axle. He said that I would have to replace all these parts and the total would be over $3.4k.Later that day I contacted Nancy at NTXD and explained the missed issues and she quickly became defensive.I knew that starting a fight wasn’t going to get me anywhere. I suggested they take a second look to see if they could replace the kingpins alone. Secondly, I hoped that they would realize their oversights and complete the work that needed to be done. After dropping the truck off at NTXD I heard back from Nancy a couple days later with the same assessment as the previous shop. This is the text I received from Nancy:“When you brought your truck original, i have been reminded that it was specifically mentioned to take it for tires, an alignment and have them ck the front end and why the tires were wearing. Apparently, Its a fairly common issue especially if tires havent been rotated properly on NPR Trucks to unevenly wear. But no other determaination could be made because we do not do alignments. With that aside, the driver side knuckler appears to be rusted and now needs replaced.Passenger side needs king pin and bushings.”It was never recommended that I take the truck in for a 2nd opinion. I was told that the tires were wearing because it needed an alignment. NTXD had no problem diagnosing the issues the 2nd time around but not when it mattered. They recognized an issue and chalked it up to something that I had said initially. Any decent tech would have further investigated as to why this issue was happening. It took the alignment shop 3 minutes to see that the wheels were about to fall off. I can understand some repairs may be missed during the inspection, but not this one. This was a glaring and obvious safety hazard and was precisely why I took the truck in to be looked at. Nancy is very dishonest and is trying to cover up the negligent inspection job that her tech did on my vehicle and is not taking any responsibility. At the end of this ordeal, I will not only be out thousands of dollars and many hours of my time, but I could have put my family in harm’s way.
Very hard to get a 5 from me. But I cant say enough. This will be my spot to have my King Ranch work done from now on.
I had only had a carrier bearing put in my 2006 Silverado back the first of the year when I was honored by meeting the owner Nancy ( cannot remember her last name). When I went to pick the truck up, I noticed her Graf racing pictures of her in her funny car. I went to telling her about my experiences in the late 60s when I was involved with funny cars. Anyway, my truck was having fuel issues in Oklahoma. I called NTD and Nancy answered the phone and explained who I was and she remembered me. She told me what to do. I did it and we were back on the road. She has a customer from now on. Not just any person would do that. Thank you Nancy, made my weekend!!!
Will not go back!
Nancy is a fantastic owner/mechanic!
Purchased a vehicle from a Dallas dealer and wanted to have Ford 6 liter engine Bulletproofed due to the inherent problems with the engine. He suggested that he had the best diesel shop in Texas right up the road. I contacted them and got quote from them, dealt with Jamie, and we agreed on the scope and amount of the work. I flew to Dallas and picked the truck up from the dealer after the work had been completed on Sept 22, 2015. The vehicle had 51, 000 miles on it at that time, and only 15, 000 miles on remaned engine. I drove the vehicle back to Florida and covered it as I only use it for towing my 5th wheel. I added a SCT tuner which I run the tow 60 package, with an Edge monitor. I started my trip in May of 2016 with 53, 000 miles on truck. I immediately noticed a loss of coolant crossing the State of Florida, about a pint a day. This continued for most of trip until I visibly saw it leaking from the head gasket area. I contacted North Texas Diesel on Aug 8, 2016 with a mileage of 55,000 miles. Have 3 messages that I had informed them that I had a problem. I continued the trip and returned back to Florida in Sept and took the truck to local diesel shop for repair. The truck ran great, except for the head gasket leaking. With the studs and all the work, $8300, the truck should have run for years without issues. The shop informed me that the head gaskets, which were after aftermarket had failed. After numerous attempts to call, e-mail, and text, Nancy called me and apologized for the lack of response. I explained to her all that had transpired and she asked that I talk with her tech on the following Monday. After waiting and not receiving a call at the agreed upon time, I texted her and she called back and advised me that because the dealership was her customer that I needed to contact them. I did that and was informed, and understand that they couldnt do anything as to time that had elapsed. NTXs policy of 12,000 miles 12 months on parts apparently doesnt apply in this case. I would advise people to stay away from this shop, life is a learning experience and hopefully others wont have to learn it the hard way.
Nancy and her crew rock! You can trust them for sure to go above and beyond.
Very honest and helpful staff!! Will be returning for all maintenance, including oil changes!! Diagnosed truck and reduced my quote from dealer by over half!!!
