The ladies were very kind but Im so disappointed in the service. My skin was cut so badly my fingers were bleeding for 2 days. I got gel nails done on Thursday by Saturday the nails started to crack. The polish was probably old because she had such a hard time getting a smooth finish she left small bubbles and a lumpy look in my nails. Avoid this place.

I love Vivian and Jason. Theyre the only ones I trust in doing my nails how I love.

Update June 23, 2019: I had this at 3 stars because my pedicure is the only thing redeeming about this place. But I really HATE these nails And I just found an air bubble. Theyre closed today so I cant take them up on their offer to try and fix it and Im sorry but like many people I have a day job and cant make it back during the week. I want my money ± the tip I left back. I shouldnt have to go back!!June 22, 2019I got a full set of stillettos from Nicki who worked on my friend also. We agreed were not having her do our nails again. Shes more interested in her phone and she didnt clean off the paint that got on me before putting it under the curing light. Theres a piece of my nail that is sticking out because she didnt cut it. For someone doing nails 3 years Id expect it to be straight and an even nail cut, not some jagged job I could do myself at home. My left hand is crooked, one finger more so than the rest. The longer I look the more I find wrong. She didnt clean up the underside either so my nails keep snagging on things. I paid $36. If I go back Im getting someone else for my nails, she knew it was my first time there and she couldnt bother to leave a good impression.

I called to see if they were available to do an appt for later today but they stated they don’t do appointments on the weekends, so they said I could do a walk in and told me the salon wasn’t busy but before I could even say thank you they hung the phone up on me. I came 5 mins later and there was only one lady but she was already paying. When she left I waited sitting in my chair for 10 minutes. No one acknowledged me and said “we will be there with you “ or “hold on” they just acted like I wasn’t there and were just talking with each other and one of them was eating in the corner but none of then acknowledged me. Keep in mind the salon was empty I was the only customer there. Once I started walking out, then one of the ladies tried to go after me. But I just left because they were unprofessional anddidn’t even acknowledge me. Very rude!@the owner... I was not acknowledged by anyone! Wrong person because no Ivy came up to me.They were either eating or sitting and talking in the back and no one sat me at the table. Wrong person!

I just moved to San Diego and needed a local salon. Nicky is absolutely wonderful! Look at the beautiful nails she crafted for the holiday season :D

I really enjoyed my experience here. Got taken almost immediately. Got a Mani pedi. Polish is still on my toes from 8 days ago. Brian, who did my acrylics, was super awesome ! Very fast and also helped with my decision making. Not to mention I barely had to say anything about my acrylics or fixing anything (Im super picky!!) Very reasonably priced in my opinion (paid $62 for everything, including the 2 ring finger nails with the crystals/gems!!) Plus, each thumb has a small gem as well.Definitely going back because finding a good nail shop thats both efficient and reasonably priced is extremely rare these days !!(This is an update to this review....I am not sure how the shop is anymore due to the fact that 2 of the main great nail techs have relocated ! Nail-it is where the gentleman [Brian] moved to)

I went in to get a full set the shape I requested was great but the paint job itself was not so great. It was rushed, sloppy and spread out at the ends of where my cuticles are, and she made me bleed in my middle finger because she was rushing and being hard when removing my cuticles. Paint job could have been way more clean and not rushed and harsh. I might return soon, just with a different artist.

The lady was so rude over the phone. I asked her if I was able to schedule an appointment. She said no and hung up.

If you want your nails to run away from you, come to this place.

I absolutely love this Nail Salon this is where I go for my me time and when covid-19 happened I stopped going and 3 weeks ago was the first time going back I was excited. It felt so good to sit and relax in a message chair while getting a pedicure and let me say my feet and body feel amazing when they were done. I adore these nail technicians and pedicurist they are so thorough. I usually get my nails done by Nikki and she does an outstanding job everytime. I recently got my nails done by the owner Vivian for the first time and I absolutely loved them. These ladies are amazing at their jobs and my nails always come out beautiful. I am very picky about who do my nails and how I like my nails and I can honestly say this is the only nail salon that gets it right. Ive been going to this place for a little over a year now and I have never had a bad experience & their prices are very reasonable. Ive had friendly conversations with almost everyone in this establishment even Vivians daughter and they are all very kind and respectable. I want to say thank you for your services and always making my experience the best experience it is very much appreciated.

This place was TERRIBLE! I got a set of acrylic nails and they came out jagged! And its probably because my nail tech kept looking away from my nails!! She would be filing my nails while looking away from them!! And some parts of my nail didnt have acrylic or nail polish!! Biggest complaint was that my receipt said I was charged $38 when reality I was charged $45!!! Im never ever coming back here!

Vivian do my eyebrows to perfection every time. We can count on any of her ladies to do me and my partners pedicures to our great satisfaction. There is no long waiting nor a bunch of distracting chit chat when they work on u. They are fast but extremely efficient!! I have and will recommend this shop to anyone!!!

Cleanest most sanitary nail shop I’ve ever been too! Super friendly and didn’t make me wait 30 mins after telling me “Oh someone will be with you right now”! Definitely found my new favorite go to place!

The best place to get your nails done!I went in needing a pedicure bad! I had a guy do my toes. He was there best! I walked out feeling like a million bucks!

I like J&V because they know what they are doing. Admittedly, on my first visit I was a bit annoyed by the amount of time it took for them to attend to me when I was already seated in the massage chair with lukewarm water swirling around my feet. But the second time I went, I was seated right away with very hot water for my toesies and the woman who took care of them was very friendly and happy, if not that fluent in English. I got the Basic Pedicure + gel so it was $31. Another woman attended to my gel full-set at the same time. I have t-Rex arms and big bust so it was hard for me to reach across my body, so she gave me a pillow and finished an amazing design in no time! I was very satisfied that I was there for only an hour and fifteen minutes. I was also impressed that when I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she was able to recall doing the job herself and replicate it perfectly...all for $29. I will definitely be coming here again and hopefully get names next time of these amazing women. 😊

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I have been going to J & V nails for about a year now. Ive had challenges in the past with scheduling but today was by far the worst. I called this morning at 9:50 AM to confirm the availability of one of their techs, they informed me that she was free and to come in. I told them that I would be there in the next 30 minutes, I arrived at 10:25AM. I arrived only to see that she was doing someone elses nails. So my frustration was starting to rise after that alone. The man at the counter told me the wait would be 30 minutes. A lady approached to say that I never called the shop prior before coming in. After going back-and-forth with her and LITERALLY pointing out my telephone number on their caller ID, she now changes her story to say that no one spoke me. REALLY?!?! She then continued saying that I will not be able to be seen today because the tech already had an appointment in 30 minutes (11AM). Do you really think I would come up there without approval to do so? Because I dont have anything else better to do with my time or gas, huh lady? I would NEVER go back to that hole.

I would not recommend their service to anyone. I wanted stiletto nails instead they looked like claws, they were filed down so thin and you could see right through them. When I got my eyebrows done my eyebrows were non asymmetrical and looked very boxy in the front and one was thicker than the other . The lady didnt even offer me a mirror to look to see the results. So personally, I would not recommend their services.

The staff is very friendly and will redo your nails if you are not satisfied with no extra charge. I had a fun and relaxing time, however two of my nails were not their best work, and unfortunately I missed the dent on one nail polish, but for the other nail I did notice and they fixed it.

I been going to Vivian and Jason for 12 years, before they got their own shop. As a regular, I feel like family and my service is always good. No one can de my pearl tiplike them

I had a set of Acrylic nails done here a few weeks ago. The place is dirty. But I gave it a chance. 6 layers of gel coat later, they looked horrible. I removed them today only to find under one of my nails was a dark green spot. I’m assuming a fungal infection. I will never be back to this place.

Horrible place Ive been twice nails break to easy I just broke a nail after getting them done today, the are over priced for a shity job. They dont have there prices in the shop because they want to make up there prices. Vivian the owner shows favoritism to new customers vs. Customers she no. Dont let the guy Rany do your nails either unless you want 4 layers of thick nail polish.
