I actually just went here to renew my registration and get my emission place done. The service was very fast and when I was charged I thought I was being charged 35 dollars for the emission test, so I told them they needed to accurately reflect the cost on their sign. However, he then told me it was 30 for the emissions and 5 for the on the spot renewal! Nornally the on the spot renewal is 10 dollars so i got a deal! He was a really nice guy even when I showed signs of frustration. Highly recommend you go for emissions and registration renewal!

When everyone else wanted to charge me $65 for emissions testing on my Cummins they only charge 30 so got a quote for the oil pan gasket only $400 everyone else wanted $600+ and to top it off they are nice guys. I cant recommend Rexs enough.

Quick and easy to get emissions done

I have had a great experience with Rexs Diesel and Auto. My family and I were driving over the point of the mountain when my car started over heating. They quickly replaced my radiator, and had me back on the road within a few hours. I was even happier when he gave me the bill. It was very reasonable. I couldnt be happier with the service and the prices.

Very fast and easy service. At first I was a little hesitant because there was not really anywhere to park except for a tiny spot on the dirt/gravel that looked a little sketchy, but after going in I was greeted by a friendly face and the emissions test I went in for was done in seriously like 5 minutes. I cant really give the place a fair review. We were disabled on the freeway in Lehi 1.3 miles from their shop during rush hour. I called Rexs three times and left messages. Never received a return call...that day or otherwise.

This is the best place around! They were very kind and honest, they didn’t try to get me to replace unnecessary things and were not pushy. My car was diagnosed in a matter of about a minute, and they made it very convenient for me to get my car in. I will definitely go back, and would recommend them to anyone.

They were amazing! I took my RV in for safety and emissions and it seems it wouldnt have passed, but it was an easy fix so they just tweaked it a bit replaced a light, and now it passed! They were fast and professional and I will certainly be going back.

This is my new go to place for registration. They were polite, professional, VERY reasonably priced and FAST! They got me in and out in a lunch break no problem and many dollars less than I had expected. They do the on the spot renewal, so no annoying trips to the DMV. For registration and inspection, no better place.

I totally trust Mahlan as my mechanic. There are so many horror stories out there about shady mechanics. I have been going to Rex diesel for years and have never once felt like Mahlan was not treating me fairly. If you need a good mechanic that really knows his stuff and is Honest you have come to the right place. I cant speak highly enough about Mahlan the owner.

Minus a star for never answering their phone or messages (go ahead, try giving them a call, they wont answer). Minus another for quoting $75 or less for labor then charging $90. Other gripes: the terrible parking, dirty office area, and informing at the time of payment that if you intend to use a credit card youll be charged an additional 4% .

Best safety and emissions experience Ive ever had. There was no wait, we were in and out in 10 minutes. Mahlan was great.

Left a vehicle there on Friday night because their website said they were open on Saturday. Nope! Tried calling several times during business hours and they never answered their phone. Finally heard back from them a couple days later to learn the repair job was too big for them so we had to just drive the vehicle to another shop. Total waste of time.

Seems to be an older place, but they were nice and explained everything well. Hourly labor seems to be cheaper than most places as well. I’ll be coming here again.

Life savers!!! I have a carpet cleaning company and the pulley system on my back door of my work truck broke apart. I show up without calling and Mahlan comes out and and is able to fix my problem within 10 minutes. Without that back door I cant work. They were able to keep my day on schedule and they have no idea how huge of a help that is. I cant thank them enough.

I just randomly happened upon this shop. Ive got a 66 Caddy and while getting an oil change at a local shop, the kid admiring my Caddy told me about Mahlan and all the amazing upgrades he would do to it. Well, I wasnt interested in that, but when I needed something quickly repaired, I remembered the conversation and decided to give them a shot. My Caddy is my baby and it is very important to find someone honest and ethical. Mahlan is certainly that! Things get quickly diagnosed and fixed right the first time! So when I happened upon a 1979 CJ 5 Jeep that needed a few things done, there was no hesitation taking it over to Mahlan and again, smooth as can be! I dont know the first thing about cars. I am not mechanically inclined. But I do know honesty and integrity. And Ive learned in life if you get that part right, everything else falls into place. Highly recommend Rexs Diesel!
