Took my spring bear into them and had pepperoni and summer sausage made from it. The quality is excellent the flavor is amazing and I will definatly keep bringing Steve bears

One of the best slaughtering houses in the valley. And their processed meat is spectacular pepperoni, jerky and summer sausage yum!

They do a good job overall. Many years ago (2014) there was a problem with the smoker and a bunch of pork got ruined. But was made good by them and the ranch. Only demerit is that theyre old school enough that you might get a busy signal if you call at the wrong time. No voicemail in 2020!

Wouldn’t use this shop again. They don’t answer their phone. They don’t return phone calls. Don’t respond to web inquiries. Definitely don’t understand customer service.

Great shop, we have done several beef and pigs with him and he always does a great job. The mobile slaughter service was fast and professional, highly recommend.

I bought 1/2 beef from Crooked Gate ranch and it was processed at Steves Custom Meat Processing, this is the third time I have done so. First two times I was very satisfied with the beef and processing. This last fall I received the meat and it was not packaged per instructions and when looking at what I got, I know there is not that much round steak and chuck steak on 1/2 beef. I did not realize how much round and chuck there was till later. Some of the steaks are also cut like a wedge. My dogs are eating well and I will purchase and process elsewhere this next fall. When I told Crooked Gate of the packaging mess he was not concerned and said he would forward the email to the butcher. That was the last I heard from either. I like to split my meat with my kids but the way it was packaged made it almost impossible.

Steve was AMAZING! The hamburger had just enough fat to grease the pan but not to where I was spooning it from the pan.
