Went to Amys Nails and it was amazing!! Very professional and they did a great job at a reasonable price. I was there when they had a very rude customer. The employees were very attentive and respectful, even when she was not. Totally recommend!!

I went in for white tip french tip nails. The nail tech used clear nails, that was the first error. Then she tried to use pink gel as the base. I told her I wanted the natural, clear gel. When she tried to draw on the tips, they looked terrible and uneven. I asked her to redo them and told her I would not pay for something I did not like. She redid them, only to drop the UV Light on them!!! SAME THING HAPPENED with the other hand. She was not watching where she put the light and ruined both hands that she had painted. She then told me I Had to choose a color instead of white tips. I told her I came in specifically for white tips. I can paint my nails a plain color by myself. The manager told me there were 3 types of french tips and I needed to ask specifically for the white nails next time. But the thing is, when the nail tech opened both sets of glue on nails I pointed to the white nails and she said she would paint them on! When she painted them pink, she didnt even get off the white paint that she so badly messed up on. They charged me full price for color gel nails. I told them I would pay for the cost of what I wanted. I will NEVER go back. The nails werent even worth what I paid for.

This is my second time visiting Amy Nails. My first time, about a year and a half ago, a guy that worked there did a bad job with my dip in nails. Because of that, I never went back, however several people kept telling me how good they were so I decided to give them a chance 🧐 a lot changes in a one year and a half!🤓I am so glad I decided to give them a chance 😃 The woman that did my nails was very sweet and patient with the designed I asked for. 🦄 As you can see in the photos she did an awesome job and I love it! 😍 I also like the fact that she didnt over file my nail. 💅The other ladies in the salon were friendly and the salon was very clean. I also like the fact that as soon as you go in they ask you to wash your hands and after they file your nails they also ask you to wash your hands.🧼For the manicure with gel and two designs I paid $35! Love LOVE this place so I highly recommend it. Next month Ill be going for both mani and pedi so Ill keep this review updated with that 😁

They dont clean their tools or sanitize the pedicure bowls. They did a horrible job on my nails. They arent smooth and they didnt get the edges. They also messed up my toes when putting my shoes on and did not properly fix it. My sisters nails chipped by the time we got in the car. They also kept trying to pressure me to get gel. I had to say not several times.

Went in with my daughter today to get acrylic nails and a fill for me.They did a terrible job. I will definitely not be going back.First off we told them how to do my daughters nails the lady literally gave her stiletto nails (she’s 11) and she wanted a rounded shaped. Not only that but she filed her skin so badly that it was bleeding and is very badly split open. The lady did not apologize to her and acted like nothing happened.Then with my nails I asked to keep the length I had and she took them way shorter then I wanted. One she took way shorter then the rest so my nails look lopsided. Also she kept burning my nail with the drill when she used it to file them. I kept pulling my finger away and she continued to burn me. They told me prices for their services before hand and then at checkout changed them I honestly didn’t even want to pay for them because both our nails looked terrible.extremely Frustrating

This place is for you if a) you have all day or dont mind waiting 45-80 minutes for your appointment b) enjoy pain c) are not particular about how your nails look d) arent worried about hygiene in general. First off, this place is busy which I took to be a good sign. But they take walk-ins while you are waiting for your appointment, get them started and then move on to you, holding the walk-in hostage. I saw this happen repeatedly during the 2.5 hours I was there. My tech did not mind inflicting pain and injury - I have 3 bloody fingers to show for it. He could not get the white tips a consistent length and promised he could get rid of certain marks on the nail by doing a full set replacement - NOT! Lastly, all the techs use each others tools and although they had disinfectant liquid at their stations, they do not use it. The next customer will be getting their nails done with the same tools he made me bleed with! Yuck. NEVER GOING BACK.8/8 - Seems like my photos were removed. Re-adding them.

I had got a fill done with a color. Very simple.Not even 2 days later, a few cone off.I have never had this happen.I set up an appointment to have them redone.I get here and she’s like your nails are lifting, ok that’s something your nail tech should have noticed and said hey ma’am it will be a bit more but you will need a whole new set..But not what happened at all.I told her to just take the remaining ones off and put the same color on.I already spent 35.00.She told me it would be another 20.00.I’ll keep going to my original nail tech.I just can’t believe I’d be charged another 20.00.

I only needed a gel manicure with one color. They were busy, but they got to me quickly, they were fast, and they did a good job.

I got my nails done about 10 mins ago. I got black gel with a small design, when i got home my thumb nail started coming up on the side. She said i could do whatever i want and it would last for a long time and BEFORE i could even do anything it’s messed up. I asked for matte and they gave me gloss, the sides of the nails don’t even have nail-polish. They were nice and everything but my nails aren’t worth the 30$ we paid.

First time going here and I enjoyed it. Decent priced and awesome quality. I dont get my nails done often but Im glad went here. The nail tech was very nice and did a beautiful job. I love my nails. I forgot to ask the name of the tech but I will for sure go back. Friendly atmosphere. 👍

Amy’s Nails is under new ownership and it is better than ever. I am only able to have my nails done once a month. Today I was adventurous and had my nails done for the 4th of July. Quick, professional service with a personal touch. It was my first time there but as others arrived they were greeted warmly by name and asked about specific people or circumstances of their life. They were clearly known and valued by the staff there. Ill definitely be back again. They did a great job on my nails, too!

I love this salon! Tom has done my nails the past two times I’ve been in and does such a good job! They are clean, he does his work fast, and they last forever. I was in and out within 15 minutes!

The service was great! I was running a little late and they fit me right in! My nails are gorgeous and they were super nice to my younger siblings! The decor is great! If I could give it a zero I would have. Went in for pedicures. We sat right away but no one filled water for us while we waited. They didnt acknowledge us until we said we were going to leave. The lady was very slow,got nail polish in the top of my foot,and cut my nails way too short. The lady who did my sisters,was rough and nicked her skin. Ever since Amy left the place has gone down hill. My sister and I will not be going back.

Second time I get my nails done here and never again. First time I thought they look so bad but Gave ir a second try hoping if I got someone different would be better. I just walked out of this place so upset, my nails look so ugly, some are longer than others, the shape is awe full, they just don’t care to do a good job they just want you to sit pay and go. I asked her to fix the color on one of the nails and she was obviously complaining to the other girls. Also I always doLong nails and a fill is 30 dollars everywhere I go. Well she charged me 38 because she said my nails were long and she had to work more on them. I won’t ever come back to this place. I waisted 40 dollars to have to go somewhere else to have someone redo my nails again

I have been going here for years!! I Love Amy’s Nails and all the people there. They can do amazing designs, shapes, they have beautiful colors, and styles. they have a lot of different nail products that make it fun to try new things and feel good and beautiful!

I love this place! Best kept secret in Layton. Awesome prices and great service. I love to go pamper myself with a pedicure and polish, all in, its just $20! They do a great leg massage and the women here are so friendly.

I came here one day a few months ago and never stopped coming! I love this place, they do incredible eyebrow waxes and beautiful nails! They do way better than the pictures I show them!!! Best experience and I would recommend this place to everyone and their mothers! I brought my entire family here and they havent stopped coming back either. Worst pedicure I have ever had! I paid $45 for a horrible experience! Water was cold, didn’t push back my cuticles, didn’t get rid of any of my dead skin, and the gel paint looks like a 12 year old did it. I am sure since the polish is in my skin and cuticle, they will pop off. Also they burnt my cousin with their hot towels. I will never go back here again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Loved it under the other owner!

Nails started lifting within the first week. Too thick at the bottom and wide on the sides when I left I had to peel my skin off of them and they were horrible. I will have to have them redone so they don’t look so bad

I love that they use the plastic liners in their basins. Tom was fantastic and made my “Lake Powell” feet presentable again!

First time going to this nail salon .... Although it was very busy due to prom season, it was worth the wait. I have been to several other nail shops in the area and this by far is the best. I keep looking at my nails and I cant not find one thing wrong with them. Im in love with my nails... If you are at Hill AFB, this is the shop you should try.

I went to Amy nails with my best friend today, and it was an amazing experience. I have never had someone do what I wanted instead of what they thought was cute.. they are very sweet, gentle handed, and over all amazing. I will definitely be comin back.

I am new to the Layton area, and I have always done my nails at walmart, or somewhere else. I have been looking for an all the time shop! Well let me tell you I found it at Amy Nails! I have been going here for 5 months now, and they are amazing! Yes they are busy, but I promise the wait is worth it! Anne, Henry, and Gabriel are so amazing! Either one of these 3 do my nails, and trust me I am picky on my nails! I have gone as far as not paying at other places, but at Amy Nails they ask what you want, and if you have a problem with them theyll fix em! I love this place so much! Anne has become more than my nail tech she has become my friend!!! I love you guys!!

I went in for my first time today to get acrylics for engagement pictures. I showed the cute gal that did my nails a picture of how I wanted them and she did them perfectly and was very gentle! They turned out great and the prices are reasonable. I dont get my nails done often, but I would definitely go back!

Ive always had a lovely experience here. I have had a number of employees give me manicures and have been pleased. And Ive been very pleased with their availability. I recently moved to Bountiful and still drive to Layton to them. They remember me, we chat, and I appreciate the atmosphere.

Used to love coming here and recommended to all of my friends and family. Over the six months Ive become less and less satisfied. Customer service and good communication is not there any more. They are always busy and I feel like it makes them rush and do poorly on my nails. Ive left bleeding because tech wasnt paying attention. I was blatantly ignored by my tech and the manager when I tried to explain why I wasnt happy with my manicure. I gave them a chance to fix their mistakes and it just seemed like they didnt care.

Used a punch card that I had completed last time and they refused to punch a new card because I was using my punch card. In addition there are four levels of pedicures . What used to be the deluxe at $30 is now $35 and you can have an expedited pedicure for $20 which used to be the regular pedicure. New staff whom were not friendly. We have been going there for eight years, but I wont be going back.

NEW OWNERS— STAY AWAY!! STAY FAR AWAY!! I have gone here for many years with friends and family. My husband buys me gift certificates here for my birthday and other holidays. I have always loved it!! Sometimes life got crazy and my certificates would expire and they would always accept them. NOT TODAY!! The new manager came out and was so rude.. a real jerk!! He told me I can’t use my gift certificate, because it had expired. The date of the expiration date was the same day as my husband bought it. 🤔 So I guess I had less than 24 hours to use it. I asked his employee on the phone when I called to make my appointment if I could use it— the answer was yes. I told him this and he got mad and said, “Who was the employee?” “What was her name?” “I will fire her!”— WHAT!! Over a $30 pedicure!! What a boss!! I reminded him that his employees don’t say their names when they answer the phone.I paid the $30- I don’t want anyone fired!! I hope his employees will be OK!! He has lost me as a monthly customer and the people I brought people with me. Spread the word!! Stay away!!

Came in, got seated quickly, and enjoyed my experience. We came in a little before a wedding party and everyone got taken care of quickly and well. Great environment. I will be recommending and returning.

The people that work here are sweet but can be hard to understand. The last time I went in, I asked for acrylic nails & instead they kept insisting on a powder turned to liquid acrylic. It never came off which it great except it ruined my nails & when I finally just decided to go in to have them removed, they further weakened them & suggested the best way to make them strong again was to do gell nails. They also cut my cuticles too short in a few places & left the areas around my nails red & sore without doing any moisturizer or oils for my nails or hands. It’s pretty normal as far as pricing goes & they are good at fitting you in without an appointment but I just don’t feel comfortable going back, at the very least for acrylic nails. I would rate it a 2 1/2 stars but that’s not an option.

I agree with the one person who posted. My nail tech and the gal next to her never stopped talking the whole time I was there. They talked the whole time in their language and acted like I wasnt even there. Used to have great customer service but not so much anymore. I had a splitting headache when I left. This was while Ann was gone. ...hopefully they dont do this while shes there. 😕

Rude, horrible customer service. Tools are used without sanitizing after each customer. The box they keep them in is filthy. They spoke their language to eachother for 10 minutes before even saying a word to us when they started working on us. Then they proceeded to talk to eachother, without engaging their customer. Finally towards the end they asked our names. I do not recommend Sandy. My friend had Lee? Who kept staring at my friend looking her up and down. We got the #2 Towels were too hot. Horrible atmosphere. I usually tip very well. Not this time. Sad that this was my friends first pedi experience. I told her this is not the norm. Well never return.

I am SO impressed with Amys Nails!! I am a very picky person with my nails. Jackie the wonderful tech did my nails yesterday for me. She took her time, and did everything PERFECT. She even stayed a half hour after closing time to finish them up and make them perfect!!! I live in West Jordan and was visiting family, but now Jackie is going to be my go to nail lady!!! I used to love coming here I would always get my nails done and I went in on March 4th to get my nails done by specifically Ann, I ended up with the wrong shape and the wrong size that I wanted to get them and on top of it my left hand pinky nail was sticking up. Just now as I was on my phone that nail came off. I spent $40 on regular no design nails for them to start coming off after a week when perviously theyd last 4-5 weeks.

My manicure was extremely rushed, even when it came to removing my old gel. They did not even take off all of it before applying the new gel on top, making my finished nails very bumpy. Beyond that the rest of the manicure was very fast and sloppy. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had getting my nails done.

New owners!I came in on 06/07/2019 to get a pedicure while I had a sitter. I have been coming in once a month since I moved here in November. I chose the deluxe pedicure (35$) the water was cold. I asked several times for hot water to be added, eventually I gave up and accepted the water would be luke warm. I had previously had gel nails on and without even getting to soak my feet more than a few minutes he literlly peeled off the gel even with me flinching. Yes PEELED. Then he only filed one foot so the nails are still very rough from being peeled off. He drained my cold water early and would use a cloth to wipe everything off. Then the wax came. I dont know what he did because it didnt even cover the bottom of my foot. It was already seperated so I asked for new wax and he brought out a single bag same thing. At this point Im visibly frustrated. Even down to applying the polish was a joke. Originally I was going to use gel but there was no way at this point, so I tell him I want regular polish, and just want orange, any orange. He hands me my shoes and makes me get up to pick out a color. My toes naturally touch and no spacers were added. I have no idea if he added a clear coat but my nails are already coming off. Visibly frustrated, another employee comes over and asks if everything is okay, I reply no. When the manager or owner comes out the guy giving the pedicure interrupts me while explaining why Im frustrated and says I dont know why youre mad, I gave you a pedicure. Beyond disappointed. I was so upset I just wanted to leave they gave me 20$ off so I paid 20 for the worst pedicure of my life which was originally 35. Wont be coming back and will be advising friends and family to do the same.

Its definitely not what it used to be when Ann was there. They having problems to make shapes you want.

Late review but last Christmas eve me and my friend went there to get our nails done and the man that did mine took forever to finish and nicked my nails so many times and got mad at me. he went from me to another lady and then back to me and then left for 30 minutes and then finish them horribly. After he nicked my nail I pulled my hand away and then started speaking his language to other people rudely.

Ann is awesome! She remembers everyones name and is always so personable. She also does an amazing job every time.

They do a goid job, however, it would be nice to be spoke to during the process. They talked a ton but all in Vietnamese. No English other than pick a color and thank you.

I took my neices here today, and they did a great job! They got us in quickly and did a very nice job. My little neices nails are beautiful and they are both very pleased. Costumer service was also top notch, Gabriel especially had a very fun sense of humor and let me sit in his chair so I could be near my neices. 5 stars!

Ann is amazing she squeezed me in after closing on a Saturday night and didnt rush she gave me exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be coming back as a loyal customer.

I got a gel manicure and unfortunately it looks really bad, polish pooling up on the sides and/or just very uneven looking nails. Also: I felt like the color options were limited, or at least the options were not well advertised. They were very nice and I did like the walk-in ability since I didnt make an appointment..

They are friendly but just wow when it comes to the quality. I had gel paint all over my hands which doesnt come off and the paint job was awful. The lady also caused some pain when doing my nails. Maybe I just caught her on a bad day but I will definitely not be going back.

I will NEVER come back to this place. Lack of care and customer service. I always read reviews and I should’ve listened to the ones that gave a one or zero if that was possible!! She cut me THREE times, my nail beds were sore from drilling and filing so close to my nail beds they are so tender. Then she tried to give me a different color than I wanted because the other color was gone, WOW......

In the past the fume smell was unbearable. They have renovated. The place looks modern and smells a lot better. I will return.

We went on a Saturday and they fit us in which was nice but when cutting my cuticles the lady was so rushed that she cut me TWICE. I was bleeding really bad and she never said anything about it, she just pretended like it didn’t happen. I got gel nails and it was crooked and uneven. I would have rather been told they couldn’t fit me in than to have them rush so fast that I left bleeding.

I highly do NOT recommend. their prices are fairly expensive especially considering the quality you get. the lady who did my nails cut me twice and my toe was actually bleeding quite a lot. when she painted my nails she missed almost all of the sides and when i told her to paint them she wouldnt do it. then when she took the brush with the nail polish remover she accidentally took off some of it on my finger and didnt fix it. on top of that we had an appointment at 12:30 and they didnt even start me until 1:45 so we waited for over an hour before they even did anything. and when they did get around to me the spent about 5 minutes on my nails. i was extremely disappointed and if you have the opportunity to go somewhere else i reccomend it. not a good experience AT ALL and i will never go back.

The techs worked fast and sloppy. The tech that was doing my manicure didn’t even oil and lotion my hands, when my girlfriend getting the same service received those. Also, my pedicure was half heartedly done, doing some things on one foot and not the other. I will not go back.

Went in waited about 40 min, then I soaked off my nails, waited another 40 min finally got to me. Started on my nails the lady got up multiple times, finally got done and the lady didnt even get my entire nails on all the fingures!! When they were done they looked like it has been a week with grow out! The lady was rude didnt talk at all, ignored me when I would talk. Its sad I used to love going there I would drive from Syracuse. Oh and the lady over charged me. I wouldnt recommend it.

This place was awful! Very unsanitary and unprofessional! I left there looking like my 5 yr old had painted my nails. I got a basic manicure and at one point I was bleeding because the person doing my nails was not even looking at my hand when she was cutting my cuticle. I will NEVER go back here again. Ill stick to Nail Crush in Kaysville, even if they cant get me in right away, Ill wait.

They are rude to people that arent regulars, & just leave you sitting there, while they go finish their nails, even if you are there first. They also gave my Husband a horrible hangnail on his toe, that got infected. My friend got an infection on two fingers.

Horrible customer service. Made an appointment for a mani-pedi two days in advance and when I showed up they told me the wait was 30 minutes. I told them I had an appointment, they said okay but still let me wait for the next 40 minutes. I was seated on the pedicure chair and was told someone will be with me shortly. Not until 15 minutes later that one of the guys came and started on my pedicure. He rushed the entire process and didnt even put a base coat before applying the color. I reminded him that he forgot to use the base coat and he said yes and smiled then continued on like I never said anything. They told me they didnt have time for my manicure and went on to start pedicures for a walk-in group that came in after me. I wont be coming back.
