Cool Masters Saves the Day! In the midst of an Atlanta heat wave, our old AC unit went kaput. The good folks at CM worked magic and scheduledan appointment with a tech within a day of our calling. The tech quickly identified the issue, had the right parts on the truck, and completed the repair in good time. Because we have a service contract with them (which I highly recommend) we got a discounted price. And now, less than 24 hours later, our house is livable once more. This team is the real deal all around. Im next door neighbors with the owners of the company. Down to earth people. They are professional and so personable. They do what they say theyre going to do. We found mold in our home about a month ago. The team went right to work doing what they do best. Im so thankful we went with Cool Masters. Easily the most professional and competent heating and air company I have ever seen. Everyone from the office personnel to the technicians in the field are excellent and the customer service is amazing. I used them for an HVAC service call and subsequent replacement of my entire HVAC. The owner is an exceptional technician and still goes out to the field everyday. His wife is the office manager and runs an extremely efficient company. Truly a family owned and ran small business. You simply cannot go wrong with Cool Masters.

Christopher was sent out to do a diagnostic on my air. He met me over phone (as was my entire encounters with Cool Masters).In a nutshell, this is the 2nd time Ive used them, but the difference being this time it was direct contact, not thru any of those monthly service plans.Well, I couldnt be anymore happier with their overall support and customer service. Am a senior widow and have used various A/C companies over decades. A little over a week ago, my system was not working. I called my daughter in another state for her to research the right company for me since I can no longer rely on a husband to handle such repairs. She researched scores of companies, many had under 10 reviews, she continued and came across Cool Masters who has had scores & scores (hundreds) of satisfied customers and have rating of 4.5 out of 5.0exceptional rating. Jonathan, a several decade employee was very knowledgeable, quickly and effectively got my system working. I was even offered a senior discount too. Needless, to say, as a retired banker I know what good customer is...he is the tops. Honesty & efficiency along with manners won my phone call any time I have need of an a/c Professional. Believe, you wont be regretful in calling this long time outstanding a/c company for assistance.

Discovered upstairs AC not working on the first hot day of the spring last Saturday. Called several places who said they could schedule a call next week.Called Cool Masters around 11 AM, and dispatcher said they could set me up for 2-5 PM that day. Jonathon called and arrived at 3 PM. He found a tripped breaker, and that the most likely problem was the compressor. But when he checked, he found no problem with the compressor itself, but that a seldom used heating component that prevents ice from forming when AC is running in cooler outside temperatures was the problem. He disabled the faulty, but unnecessary part, and immediately problem was solved. He checked the Freon level, found it was down slightly, and topped it. off.Jonathon is by far the most professional and the sharpest technician I have ever dealt with for any home repair. He noted that the unit was 21 years old, and provided current estimates for replacement when it inevitably dies. His advice for the time being was to run it til the wheels fall off. When that day comes, I will be calling Cool Masters, and asking for Jonathon.

2019 and 2020 were the worst years of my life, but probably the best business-wise for Cool Masters! ;) When I first met them, I was a single, 31 year old woman living in my first house, hundreds of miles from family and experiencing my first homeowner problems. The day before a snowstorm was expected to hit and shut down Atlanta (it turned out to be a faux-storm), my furnace died and my house was plunged into the coldest of temperatures. Id never needed HVAC assistance before so I didnt have a number in hand, but after calling around a few places, Cool Masters saved the day, squeezing me into an already packed schedule. I was able to get the existing furnace checked out, they made some calls and discovered it wasnt under warranty and got me set up with a new one the next morning. Was the amount something I wanted to pay? Good lord, no. But the customer service was well worth it! From the lady in the office, to the guys who came out and patiently talked me through what everything meant, ensuring I felt comfortable with the new unit and the process - it was what I needed as the overwhelmed, first time homeowner. And they didnt take my money and run either - before they left they made sure I knew I could call if I had questions or if there was an issue.. and then there was a follow up call from the office a day or two after. Fast forward a week and a pipe bursts in my lower level, completely destroying a third of my house, ceilings and walls collapsed, inches of standing water.. and I was at the breaking point. THEN THE NEXT DAY MY WATER HEATER DIED! You guys.. I was having the worst time. But I called up Cool Masters, told them what happened and back out they came. And once they arrived and saw the destruction in the garage, basement and bedroom that had been intact their previous visit only a week prior... oh man. But once again they were amazing, they talked me through the issue, talked me through my options, and in the end, I had a new water heater that they installed, weaving around massive water mitigation heaters that were running, and piles of my soggy belongings. [Bonus: In the midst of trying to figure out where to get a water heater from, the guys went for a lunch break and offered to bring me something back and that was just the kindest thing]. So. Fast forward a year - my air conditioning goes kaput in July. Cool Masters comes back out, theyre shaking their head at my luck, Im laughing because at this point you have to... maaaaybe two weeks later that same pipe in my lower level bursts and floods the house again. Id developed enough of a relationship with CM at this point that I texted them that they would NOT BELIEVE what just happened to my house. And you know what? After I told them about the flood they said if I still needed help with anything after they finished their shifts, they would come over and help out. !!!! Bless them.But the next day the little tank over my water heater (that hadnt been replaced with the old water heater) bursts and starts spraying water all over my garage, and a mini flood occurs. SO - they ended up coming out anyways and replacing that part and THAT, my friends, is the end of the story. You best believe 15 minutes after that pipe burst for the third time (there was a first time I didnt share in the story), I made the split second decision to sell my house and emailed my realtor right then and there. I was out by the end of September and am now **living the dream** of being holed up in my parents house in Michigan haahahhahaa. To summarize, if you made it this far, the guys I worked with at Cool Masters were some of the few bright spots in a very very dark two years and Im so grateful for their patience, kindness and generosity!

My upstairs AC stopped cooling, so I started looking for someone to call. I ended up calling Cool Masters and Im so glad I did! I called just before lunch and they had someone out within a few hours. Chris - the technician they sent - was amazing. He was very thorough and explained in detail what the problem was. Although the problem with my really old furnace wasnt able to be fully fixed without a new control board (read: expensive and slow to get) he was able to get me in a running state so we could stay cool while we decided how to proceed. No high pressure sales pitch, just good solid advice. I couldnt be happier, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solid, honest company!

My downstairs unit was on the fritz. I submitted a request for an appointment over the weekend and they responded next business day with a call to confirm date/time for visit. Easy process. The technician that came on site, Mike Blitch, was professional and friendly, determined the problem in about 1 minute and was able to repair immediately (had parts in the truck) and get the system operational. He was very good at explaining what was wrong, what work needed to be done, and how to keep things maintained. He also noticed that my outside faucet was leaking and fixed it while he was on site! Quality service and fair pricing. I was impressed enough with the work to sign up for their annual maintenance service.

A/C tech Raul did a great job. I was taken aback, however, by his not being vaccinated. He kept his mask on, but we are both elderly and with other medical issues. Not requiring your employees to be vaccinated in a time of increasing pandemic is both short-sighted and selfish. First Amendment freedoms dont include putting self or others in jeopardy, e.g, requiring drivers licenses, requiring other vaccinations for MMR, Polio, smallpox, requiring a certain age b/f buying/consuming alcohol. The vaccinations are not political. They are a health necessity. At least give your employees the option of vaccination or bi-weekly COVID-19 testing, if they want to continue working at CoolMaster HVAC.

Long time customer. This is a great company. Jonathan and his team are fantastic! Our house is getting older and the old HVAC system finally gave out. We have a full basement that we love but it often had that muggy, clammy feeling. We ran a Home Depot dehumidifier 100% of the time and that felt ok. At least I thought it was ok. Jonathan convinced me to buy their Carrier Infiniti Series variable speed system with the dehumidification. OMG! Its like I have a new home! The humidity level stays around 47%, which is amazing. The basement now has a crisp, cool, dry feel to it even on the hottest, most humid summer days. And Im saving money on my utility bill. The guys who did the installation were extremely friendly and professional and they left the room very clean. I highly recommend Cool Masters.

We came home late on a Friday night to find a small pond in our basement that was coming from the HVAC. Cool Masters was extremely responsive and Raul came out quickly on Saturday morning to help us. Raul was professional, explained everything he was doing, and allowed me to watch and learn as he troubleshooted our HVAC. Our unit is nearly three decades old but Raul took the time to determine the issue was fixable and not the end of the unit. He fixed it in a timely way and the price was very reasonable. We have used Cool Masters for the last 4 years, Enoc does a great job and normally services the systems. 3 weeks following a maintenance inspection the system stopped cooling, the engineer (not Enoc) charged me $550 to re-gas it and change some electrical components, even though it had just been inspected. The next days it stops cooling again, and the same engineers comes and tells me I have a leak, which he never checked for last time even though he had to replace over 70% of the gas Bad, lazy workmanship and will not be using again.

This is the 3rd time I have called coolmasters to fix issues with my air condition. Each time they come out they charge and then up-charge a service they claim I need. This last time they replaced my capacitor for about 288 plus 100 for coming out. The tech up sold me and told me the capacitor is very good and would last at least 5 years. Less than a year it went out and when I called coolmasters they told me I had to pay 180 for their one year service to receive the warranty. Not very helpful. I went to a local shop and got a new capacitor for 55 bucks and YouTube how to fix it. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE, they will always try to charge you something extra even though you dont need it.

Jonathan Perez came out to give a second opinion regarding replacement of my HVAC system (as recommended by a competitor due to the age of my system). Jonathan was on time, professional, very knowledgeable, and took a lot of time explaining what he found. He recommended replacing a $150 part and said my system could last another 1-2 years before it needed to be replaced, so why replace now? The employees in his company do not work on commission, so have no incentive to do more than absolutely necessary, unlike many other companies. He saved me $5,000.

I recently signed up for the preventative maintenance program, and very happy I did. I was also having issues with some 19 year old dampers in our zoned system. When the technician (Enoch) did the maintenance, he was also able to diagnose my damper issue. I needed to replace one for sure, and I know the other two are going bad and will need replaced sometime as well. He came back and replaced the bad one, and unfortunately, the motor on the new one died. So, he came back and replaced the motor for me quickly. Bottom line, the tech made sure got it right, and left me feeling like it mattered that the job was done right. I was with a previous company for over 17 years. They were bought out by one of the BIG companies in Atlanta. We immediately lost all the personal service and customer importance we previously had. Pricing went way up, and they quit honoring discounts the company they had bought used to offer. I’m glad I found CollMasters to switch to, and hope to have another long lasting account. I contacted Cool Masters on 9/15 to schedule an optional preventive maintenance appointment which I do annually on both of my properties. I’m informed by the rep that there is an existing balance of $259.00 from a service call from APRIL 2017. Im perplexed. Thats a full 18 months ago. At the time of that service, I provided the tech with my banking card and payment was collected. I was told that the appointment could not be scheduled until the payment from 18 MONTHS AGO was paid. How could I have a balance of $259.00 from 1.5 yrs ago and find out about it ONLY when I contact them for annual maintenance? It made zero sense after being a customer for a solid eight years with two properties and new units installed in both of them in 2015. I have always payed immediately.I speak with Kimberly in the office at Cool Masters on 9/17. I get nowhere. I do get a really condescending tone in speaking with her in regard to my confusion as to how an outstanding invoice for service to my property is not noticed by them for 18 months. I spend time debating with her that I provided the tech with my card at the time. She refutes me to the point where I actually curse out loud. I asked her to e-mail the invoice and ended the call. I receive it and It looks like no invoice I have ever received from them. Its very basic and dated 4/27/2017.I called Johnathan, the president/owner, on 9/17 since I have interacted with him personally over the years and considered him to be a fair and reasonable individual. He was surprised about the outstanding invoice from me and says he would call be back no later than 24 hours. He did not call. Three days go by and I send a text to him on 9/20 to follow up--no response. I call him in the morning on 9/21. He answers and informs me that he’s been told by the office staff that they sent me an e-mail in April 2017 with the invoice attached and they saw that I had opened the e-mail . So, they see I’ve opened an e-mail with a $259.00 invoice 18 months ago, and they did nothing about it? No one calls? It makes no sense. There is no collections process involved? Johnathan asks “what do I want him to do?” I paused thinking, youre the owner, you can do whatever you want to. I asked him if he would he be willing to at least discount the long outstanding $259.00 since it remained outstanding due to their own error to acknowledge their mistake. He refuses saying the service had already been discounted. Frustrated, I pay the invoice in full that same morning because I always pay what I owe.On 9/23 I research my bank statements and e-mails from 2017 and see a debit from April 2017 for $79 Cool Masters and also find the related service call appointment. I send this information to Jonathan via text. I’m even more frustrated as I think somehow I’m getting ripped off (not the actual case, as it is more a case of incompetent bookkeeping on their part and a lack of accountability to own up to it). He responds and says he’ll look into when he is in the office Monday evening. I never hear from him.I was simply looking for an explanation that made sense.I take issue with being accused of “overlooking” an outstanding invoice and having to find out about it 18 MONTHS LATER and only when I contacted them. I was made to feel as if I had intentional dodged payment when they had NO IDEA a payment was outstanding themselves until I called. What if I had not called them until 2019?? The only scenario that makes sense is that I was charged only $79 for the residential call and they neglected to add the $259 for the pump replacement at that time. They reconciled invoices at the end of the month back then, but still failed to notify me. I’m forced to come to this conclusion as I’ve never received a straight or logical response from Cool Masters. I did get a demand for payment regarding an invoice they let sit for 18 months while never even apologizing for their failure.

We had Enoch come out to the house after our heat stopped working and we noticed some water on the ceiling. He came out and was extremely knowledgeable and didnt try and up-sell us. He explained to me in terms I could understand what was going on with our heater, and then showed me different options for the repair on his tablet. He didnt recommend the most expensive one, just the one I needed to keep our system running efficiently. We could not have asked for a better HVAC company. CoolMasters has our business FOR LIFE.

Last week, on one of the hottest days so far this year, my ac unit stopped working. It was late in the evening so 1st thing the next morning I contacted Cool Masters to see how fast I could have someone come out and look at my ac unit. By 10:45 am Jonathan from Cool Masters had my ac unit fixed an blowing cold air! I cant say enough about how amazing Jonathan was! In a day and age when you never really know who might come to your door Jonathan was exactly who you would hope for. Not only was Cool Masters able to get me on their schedule the same day, they were professional from start to finish! Jonathan called me to let me know he was in route to my house, he was on time, he didnt ask to come into the house and respected social distancing guidelines, he was extremely polite and knowledgeable and had the problem fixed.in almost no time at all! In the summer the basement was freezing, the main level comfortable and the top floor unbearably hot. The heat and humidity on the top level where we sleep was horrible. We purchased a standalone A/C unit to supplement just to make it through the summer. Not to mention our electric bill was outrageous (highest was $373.65)!After being in the house for about six months, the old HVAC began to have problems and looked to be on its way out. I called several HVAC companies, Cool Masters being one of them. Most all gave me the scenario of replacing the old single unit with two units. I was told that was the only way to service my entire home. Then Cool masters came to inspect and gather information in order to give a quote. Once quoted and told my options, it seemed a little too good to be true.To bring this growing review to a close and summarize: Jonathan proposed an extremely efficient single Carrier Infinity system broken up into 3 zones; basement, main and top floor. After some comparisons and looking up reviews of such a system, I signed on the dotted line. After a couple days of installation in the fall of 2016, they walked me through setting the zones (easy) and then the system was on auto pilot from there. I anxiously awaited the summer to arrive to see if the promises were completely true. To my delight and amazement, on the hottest days of summer, our house was comfortable, all levels, and no humidity! As for the high electric bill; I waited for my bill to hit at least the $300.00 range. My highest bill on the hottest month was $163.97! That is over $200.00 less than the previous year!Am I impressed? From the first call to Cool Masters, through the installation, all follow-up service and maintenance visits, they are the best in my opinion! I will never use another HVAC company. Just give them a call!

Jonathan with Cool Masters was the last appointment that we had on the schedule. He made sure to explain what type of system would be the best fit for our needs. We had made a decision on another company before our meeting with Jonathan, but wanted to hear what he had to offer. His professionalism and knowledge are what set him apart from the others. By 10:30, Enoch was here at our door.From the moment he walked in, he was nothing but warm, professional, knowledgeable, and he had us up and running almost immediately (as it turns out, the problem was not with the work Cool Masters had done but with us, the users). Weve been serviced by this company for about 20 years now! One hot summer day on Sunday, 2001, in Atlanta, the only A/C in our townhouse has died... You know the. saying Better late than never. Well back in August, My wife and I were leaving early Saturday morning to New Jersey. The night before around 2AM we realized the AC was not working on the second floor. Since we had my sister and niece staying with us, it had to be fixed. I called Cool Master around 8AM and spoke to Jonathan. I explain the situation and Jonathan he would come to the house between 10 and 11AM. (he arrived at 10:10AM) The problem (which is what I call it) was so small, Jonathan had it repaired in in 15 minutes. I was not even charged a service call. THATS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT. I have been working with Cool Master for about 7 or 8 years and each time one of their SERVICE PROFESSIONALS come to the house they are just that, professional, polite, and knowledgeable. Our AC died a few days ago in the middle of a week with temps in the mid 90s. We got back into town on Thursday and we were melting! I did a google search for local repair shops. We called Cool Masters based on 200 reviews, almost ALL of them 5 star. We called on Friday and got an appointment for the next day.The technician, Chris, called to let us know when he would be arriving. When he showed up, he introduced himself and IMMEDIATELY put on shoe covers without even being asked! It was great, especially since we had literally spent the morning steam cleaning the entire first floor!He quickly checked in the attic and then went to check the outside unit. Long story short, he was able to fix the system quickly and didnt try to rake us over the coals. He could have told us it was the fan motor which would have been 3 times more expensive or a coolant leak which, with R22, would have been over $1000!Amazing service, VERY personable techs AND honest business to boot. I highly recommend them and will definitely be calling them when we replace the system. Highly recommend Cool Masters when you need AC service, repair or replacement!

Cant say enough about the service we received for our Commercial HVAC repair from Cool Masters. It was our first time using them after having issues with our prior providers. The gentleman who arrived was on-time (called ahead like they said they would) and wore a face mask (a requirement in our business). He diagnosed the issue and even offered to all of the legwork to see if the part would be under warranty (saving hundreds). I have a home warranty and called them when my air conditioning froze up. They said they could not come out for 48 hours and it is in the mid to upper 90s. I called Cool Master at about 4:00 pm on a Thursday afternoon and the owner answered from Las Vegas and went over everything and told me they would have someone out in 1-1.5 hours, which he was out within the hour. They fixed it and had my air back running in no time. Fantastic service! I would highly recommend them.
