I live in the country and my internet access has been very consistent. The team is very responsive. Any issue has been promptly addressed. Called about the rare outage and it was already being taken care of with an estimate of when it would be back up. I highly recommend Wicked Broadband.

We needed more bandwidth for Remote learning and Wicked cane through for us. Not only were they able to get us up and running within a day of calling, their customer support was quick to resolve any issues. I was sceptical of Gigabit wireless but it was awesome. Tests all showed we had gigabit up and down. Wickedly fast and with just a tiny little disk receiver on the building. Awesome service!

The technicians are Professiona, prompt, and remember they are working with human beings, not just people they take money from, like the bigger companies.Before anyone says I am biased, lets face it I am. I managed Wicked for a year before I went back to working for myself. I started with dial up, have had Hughes Net, and switched to Wicked when they were Lawrence Freenet years ago. The few times I have had to contact for service they have been very responsive and provided excellent service with very little delay. It is very nice not to have a limited service and not be throttled down. I would definitely recommend them.

Immaculate connection and service. The internet was always cutting out with the laundry list of past service providers Ive been with, but Ive not had to think about wicked broadband for well over a year. When my connection was cut, I messaged them through Google and they responded in less than 10 minutes. They fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Net neutrality! Go local!

I signed up with Wicked Broadband about 8 months ago. I wanted to go with a company that was locally owned and I absolutely love them. I game every night and I’ve never had an issue with my service. They’re super friendly and professional. Can’t recommend them enough!

Horrible!!!!!! 2.5mbps download 700kbps upload. And they tell me there’s is nothing they can do to improve the speed. That’s if you can get a hold of somebody on their limited hours of operation, I swear there is only two people that “work” there. I would never recommend this company and honestly can’t believe they still exist considering the competitors prices, quality of service and better internet speeds. Not a customer? I’m in the Ranch Way Town homes you service. I’ve called multiple times. Stop passing the buck. Your internet sucks!!!!

Our technicians were really great! Our farm has a complicated system that we really rely on—so when the internet went down we were struggling. The two techs spent the whole afternoon with us. They didn’t just fix one bad wire but checked the whole system and made sure it was like new by the end of the day. They were thorough, knowledgeable and really pleasant about what turned out to be a big job and hard chore. And, at the end, they refused a tip—which I really wanted them to have! Very professional guys. Also, in this season of Covid, they followed company policy well—no contact, socially distanced, mask-on service! Well done—and thanks again!

Ive been a customer of Wicked Broadband for over five years. I depend on my Internet for business. I use their wireless rural Internet. I tried satellite Internet and Sunflower (before they sold out). The Wicked Broadband product is better and the service staff are more responsive. In addition, youre supporting a locally owned business.

Internet goes out a few times every day. Ive called and tried to get them to come fix it, but they always try to weasel out of it by having me get a new cable, router, etc., hoping itll fix itself. Im so tired of this.

I have used Wicked Broadband as my internet provider for the past nine years. Initially, I worked from home for a company for which dependable internet was a requirement. I was in charge of running moisture and protein percentages on hard red winter wheat samples, in addition to checking soybean and corn samples for presence of GMO, genetic modified organism. Our sales staff depended on internet connection in order to receive updated information of the Grain Sample Files I provided for their use.In my retirement years, I find the consistent provision of internet by Wicked Broadband to be helpful in many aspects of my life.

Ive been with Lawrence Freenet for over 4 years and have been very happy with it. For the price, the speed has always been good. We have had occasional outages with the service, but that seems to be true of every service Ive ever seen. But where Ive been really impressed has been the customer service. Ive been able to talk to a tech or go down to their office to swap out a router or ask questions about my account, and that has been refreshing when compared with talking with customer service in another country. I appreciate how personable they have been with me and miss that in a lot of other businesses.

I thought fiber should have good speed. Wicked broadband fiber is around 3Mbps day or night. guess we have different standard. You just can not reach their support no matter how many times you called.

I would give less than one star if i had the option. Ive been a customer for a month and have only been able to get service for less than a week total. Every time i call i get an answering machine. This small time operation needs to be bought out by someone that knows what they are doing.

Service and support are ok. Rates are good, especially for upload speed. Lots to be desired when it comes to reliability and support. Id much rather have fiber speeds (100+Mbps uploads) than the terrible speeds all the other providers around town have. They havent been able to deliver fiber around the city yet. Hopefully before Im too old to use the internet.

Worst internet Ive ever had, the people that give them good reviews are employees, the owner of this company should be sent to prison for theft. Hes a crook and the company is a scam. If your internet goes out on the weekend, and they do actually fix it, itll be late on that Monday. They are completely incompetent and unprofessional.

Freenet is the local, independent alternative to national branded internet. This local company is directly involved in the community and a portion of every subscription is used to provide the needy and non-profits in town with fast, reliable internet and they are a pioneer in bridging the digital divide.I’ve used their service for years both as a business in my office as well as out and about in Lawrence. With recent improvements, their system is wicked fast. My upload speed is the fastest in town hands down! When I’m close to their nodes I get up to 5M up and when I’m wired in my office it can be even faster. Download speeds are usually around 5-10M and faster than ANY wireless hotspot in Lawrence (and yes I’ve tested them all). Seriously this is amazing.Obviously, as a wireless service, speed and reliability depends on your proximity to one of their base stations so your mileage may vary. Some locations may need one of their boosters. An easy phone call to their local support team will let you know what kind of connection you’ll get at your current location.If you tried Freenet in the past and had problems you really need to try them again. With all the recent changes in the broadband marketplace, Freenet has emerged as a local leader providing Internet all over Lawrence without bandwidth caps and not just keeping business local, but reinvesting it in the community.

If you want to use this service for a month using the already existing Wi-Fi around your place, be aware that if you sign up for a month they automatically enroll you for continuous payment.These guys have cunningly included a term in the Terms and Agreements that you have to call 5 days prior to the expiration date in order to not have them bill you automatically for the next month. And of course, they refuse to give you a refund even if you call the next day. The only option is to let them know that youre going to cancel the service by phone, and have to suck it up and use it until your automatically enrolled month expires. What kind of internet service expects you to contact FIVE business days prior to expiration to not have you continue service? Shouldnt the online account management enable you to cancel right away? Is that so difficult thing to have on an online account management system?I see some reviews mentioning how this company is nice because its local. My opinion: ITS JUST A LOCAL RIPOFF. PERIOD.I highly encourage people NOT to use this rudimentary service. They take advantage of the fact that people tend to not read the long terms of services.

Very poor service. Its slow and completely unreliable, the team they employ are not committed to solving problems. It takes forever for them to fix problems and its nearly imposible to get in touch with them. Worst internet provider Ive ever had. If you live in an apartment as I do, if you hear your complex is going to partner with them, strongly urge them against it.

I really had high hopes for this company but the service that they provide is extremely poor. The internet speeds are unreliable at best, and unresponsive at worse, and the one redeeming quality about their services (they would provide free internet access to the poor and disenfranchised citizens of Lawrence) they no longer provide. Good luck trying to get the m on the phone either. Absolute WORST Ive ever seen for a business in that regard hands down. Ive left voicemails that have never been returned and a few times I had to drive to their office location just to speak with a representative, who by the way, didnt know what the hell was going on either! Ill just keep hoping and wishing that google fiber will find its way into Lawrence, because the internet situation in this town is tragic.

Customer service is non-existent. Called many times and no one ever picks up. I live 150 ft. from one of their access points and had their router/antenna in my house and the speed was still slow. Had speeds as slow as .45mbps up to 3mbps during the day. It fluctuated constantly and could barely stream anything. If you have an XBOX or Playstation expect lag if you play online. Needless to say, I got rid of their net and switched to ATT, which at least is reliable and has consistent speeds.

I absolutely love my Freenet service. Fair disclosure: I worked for Freenet until June, 2010. Ive been using the Internet since 1992 and broadband internet since 2000, and Freenet blows them all away. Ridiculous speeds (~30Mbps down!), low latency (4ms), a crazy low price ($23.98 inside of Lawrence) make this the best Internet service I have ever used. I get no hiccups on NetFlix, my Dropbox account syncs in an instant, and I can even afford to move big files around without the use of a thumb drive. The best benefit though? Absolutely no bandwidth caps. That means no extra charges for going over some arbitrary limit.

The website says they are open 10-6 which are terrible for anyone who works any sort of normal hours. Been fighting an issue for two days now and cant get in contact with anyone. Tried to take a break to call them and its just the voicemail every single time. Very frustrating.
