I probably need to differentiate between the online service and the in-store service. The online service was difficult to work with mainly because they ran through basically a receptionist who tried to you know figure out where they send you and it was a mess when you have basically what should have been a simple question. The guy in the store was able to figure it out right away and save me a lot of time and money
Had to wait 13 minutes just to ask a question and that was after playing with the automated system
Geek squad is a bit like the emergency room at the hospital. Theyre great for some things, not so good for others, and always expensive. Id go there to get some triage on a computer, especially if another place couldnt see me and I needed something done quickly. Just be aware that you can pay a bundle to even have an issue diagnosed, so understand what the potential costs are before agreeing to anything. All of that said, the 2 year protection program offered on many electronics is absolutely top-notch, and has saved me money on multiple occasions when something failed.
Scheduled installation service over phone a week in advance. Get a call the day before and am informed the time I selected wont work because I am the only install on the list and they have to do it at the beginning of the time block, not at the time I confirmed over the phone because management doesnt want to pay them to wait. Dont offer service late evening if you wont pay your employees for the entire block of time.
Bad customer service. I dont know know if these guys missed thr training day on how to treat a customer, becayse they sure ass hell lack in that department. All I wanted to know is what time my apoinment was. The man I was speaking with didnt want to give me that information, because he kept telling me the system was down and checking my appointment was going to take a while. Nevertheless, after I told him that was the main reason I was calling and that Ill wait. He proceeded to tell me that my name was not in the system. Ten minutes into into the conversation I mentioned that I needed something with my car fixed light bulb finally went off in this guys head that he was checking my name in the wrong system. After I asked him if I could move my time he preceded to give me a list of reasons as to why tHat wasnt possible. Overall, roadblock of stupid excuses in a ten minute time frame. Cancelled my appointment. Will never be back there.
