Vanessa is incredible!! She is so sweet and does an incredible job on my hair. Ive been going for a combined cut and color and it looks absolutely amazing. She is a master of creative color and took my idea for opal/abalone hair and made it a reality.Scheduling is easy, I travel a lot for work and shes been very accommodating about scheduling me in between trips. For the time and artistry Vanessa puts in, her prices are definitely fair. The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and everyone makes you feel comfortable and at home.I would wholeheartedly recommend both Vanessa and Hotbox Salon as a whole!

Josh was amazing !!! Flew there from minnesota to get my hair cut correctly absolutely incredible!!! Cut all the dead fuzzy off and thinned it out to keep it under control . Italian hair is hard to maintain or get cut . He makes it look easy !! Thanks again!!

Wow!! Alex did a great job on my daughters hair. Made her first hair highlighting experience a wonderful treat!! Listened to everything she asked for and all her friends are amazed at the results!! Definitely would recommend. Overall the salon is fun and cozy environment, they welcome you with complimentary water, coffee, tea, beer and wine!

I have had issues with the perfect cut for most my life. Trying different places and different barbers. I came to Hotbox on a whim and it was a great choice. Troy has been cutting my hair for over a year now and has never failed to get it perfect from the cut, to the massage while he washes your hair, to knowing exactly what kind of products to use.10 out of 10.. Highly recommend Troy 👍

I got my hair cut and dyed there. The guy gave me exactly what I wanted and Id recommend anyone who wanted to get their hair done to come here. The only thing I didnt like was I had a coupon for a cut and dye, I wasnt told that the hair color I had picked wasnt on the list of colors that were accepted, so I go up to the counter expecting to pay a certain price and am told that since I didnt get the supported color that I would be charged more. Just wish I was told this before I had it dyed and locked in. Besides that it was great.

Very unhappy with my color! People are friendly in there but unfortunately my hair not so much. Got my hair down about two weeks ago and decided to go there based on all the wonderful reviews i seen... get the dimensional hair color and decided to do dark red when I walked in I immediately let the hairstylist know that I don’t want any semi‘s and I wanted my hair to be something that was manageable because I don’t do my hair on a constant basis and wake up at early mornings to go to work when I left there from getting my hair done my entire four head was filled with red to the point where when I woke up I had to wash my hair out because my whole four head was filled with dark red I called about a week later to get my hair redone because I wasn’t happy about how my hair completely washed out the color the lady lets me know that I need to let my hair sit for two days so I go in and get my hair done and only one color gets put into my hair when dimensional supposed to be more than one color in my sides of my head looks crazy I would say crazier than the first time spent about $100 tipped her both times and left and happy both you can see the lines on my scalp where she put color and where she didn’t which is very noticeable one of the worst experiences I have experienced to spend my money and not be pleased.

I absolutely love this place and will recommend it to anyone needing a haircut. With flexible prices (depending on the stylist) this is the BEST place to get a really nice haircut, with great service, and products.Male or female, it makes no difference.

The only salon I will go to, the only people I trust to trim my beard. If you can make an appointment with Angela shes wonderful very nice and easy to talk to. You wont be dissatisfied trust me.

Booked about a month in advance, told the super nice lady on the phone what shape my hair was in and what I wanted. Arrived a bit early in an Uber, waited for 20 minutes and after being seated the gentlemen told me I needed a colour correction and that I would have to leave the salon to purchase it.In all my years of getting my hair dyed I have NEVER been told I have to purchase a product and bring it in. Let alone being told I needed a whole colour correction for about 6 inches of insanely faded stain. Every time I go in it’s always been a 15-30 minute bleach to remove the leftover stain.So thanks for wasting my time and money.

I just moved to Las Vegas and needed to get myself looking good for my fresh new start. I went on Groupon and got the deal for a color, cut and style and since Ive seen a lot of reviewers talk about how much they enjoyed working with Troy, I booked with him. I came in with a mess on my head. Bits and pieces that I cut and dyed myself. Troy did a really great job, taking his time and explaining his process along the way. He was also able to give me the low down on Vegas life which I appreciated. Guess who my new stylist is :) Thank you Troy!

I just moved to the area and tried this salon bc it was close to my house. I went in to have bangs cut. The woman cutting my hair did a good job, although I might have to tweak the shape as it grows a little. Enjoying my new bangs! Will be back.

I went in for a consultation with Vanessa. I wanted to go from brown to blond realizing that it would be quite costly, however, not $1200!!! She said I’d need two 6 hour sessions at $100 an hour. Needless to say I went somewhere else. Sarah at Sugar Skulls Salon did an amazing job in one 3 1/2 hour session for $200! My blond hair looks amazing..NO thanks HotBox Vanessa!

I can’t say anything bad about the salon itself for it was clean, very cute and the receptionist was nice. My hair on the other hand ... well let’s just say I’m PISSED. I had my hair done by Megan, she did nothing that I asked for. From the color to the cut, she did everything I asked her not too. I’m hair looks so F***ed up. People pay a lot of money to have services like this done so as a stylist if you are not confident in achieving your clients goals then you shouldn’t do it, not just do what you want or what you think is right. I have to take some of the blame for I should have listened to my gut when having the consultation with her and it just not feeling right and I should have done my research but since she was recommended to me I just went with it. Lesson learned and money lost.

I absolutely looooved my experience at HOTBOX salon. I had purchased a Groupon for Color, highlights, trim and style and I was 100% satisfied with the service I received as well as my hair stylist Tara who was amazing. I had read several reviews about Tara on Yelp and had been referred to her by my friend, and I must say she definitely was a great stylist. She listened to my needs and made me look amazing for a 1920s party I was attending that evening.The ambiance is great at Hotbox. All of the staff there (receptionists as well as fellow stylists) are very attentive and the place is suuuuper cute.I will definitely return to Hotbox and will definitely become a regular client to Tara.

Jason is Hair Hater!!!First off, I was super excited to go to this salon!!! I was recommended by a few people and read the reviews so was confident it would be a good day...I was wrong!!!I originally wanted my hair done by a guy in California, but did not have enough time to get over there so on recommendation I went here... Big mistake!!!I went for consultation and was recommended to see Jason. I brought him a video with a demonstration of how to cut and balayage ombre exactly what I wanted from the other salon. And he told me it would be no problem and that he works with long hair ALL the time!!! Dont worry, Im SOOOOOO excited to do your hair!!! So I didnt worry...I went back in with high hopes the day of my appointment. I sat down and he started brushing my hair...Now my hair is about 3 long and quite thick, this is why I had asked him in the beginning if he could do long hair. He started pulling it and was not so gentle at ALL while brushing it out. When he final finished with that and actually started dying my hair it was obvious he had not watched a second of the video I recommend he watch.He was suppose to start with a cut and then dying the hair from root down. While he started with dying the root first instead of the cut. Then when it was time for my wash he brought me over to the tub and just started ripping the foil out of my hair. When it was all done he decided to give me the smallest towel available because my hair dripping. We went back over to his chair, where he proceeded to try and brush my hair again, which I had to finish myself for him. Then he started to blow dry my hair with the blower right on my scalp.I should have walked out right then, but did not want to be rude. He then started dying from tip up, ONE side of my hair rather than layers. Which is how it is suppose to be done with ombre. By the time he was done...One side of my hair was literally platinum blonde while the other side was orange!!! Effin ORANGE!!! My scalp was burning by the time he was done and remained that way for several days afterwards. He also kept insisting this is how I wanted my hair done, when I had clearly told him it was not!!!It was obviously his first time doing this...Or hes just a liar...Either way, if he had just said in the beginning he was not sure he could do this. I would have said ok and talked to someone else and be thankful for the honesty. But obviously he must not care about his clients enough to be honest with them. Or must need the money...Either way, not a great way to be in business...
