We thoroughly enjoyed out trip to the Grand Canyon through Gray Line tours. Freddy was our driver and he is one of the best in the business. Informative, friendly, on time, and funny! We laughed the whole way there and back. Highly recommend this tour. The hotel pickup was perfect. Really one of the best tours Ive taken. They give you ample time at each viewpoint. I really enjoyed myself.
Dywon was our driver for our trip to the Grand Canyon. Great job with driving. Very clear with his instructions, explanations, and expectations. He was nice and personable. It was nice that he showed us some movies on our trip too. It was a long day. Overall, thank you!I liked how there were little trash bags attached to the seats. It would have been great to have a cup holder.
We had this tour booked for Tuesday but once the bus pulls up (late) the driver states he was full and no more passengers could get on leaving us and a couple of other passengers behind. I quickly call the company and they were very nice and apologetic about the whole ordeal and offered a complimentary trip to the Hoover Dam that day and the Grand Canyon tour any other day we wanted in which we elected the next day Wednesday. The now driver, Dywon was very informative and funny. His motto: One band, One sound meaning look out for your neighbors because no one gets left behind. He made several stops for snacks and bathroom breaks so you didnt have to use the one on the bus. Lunch is provided which is Pizza Hut. With a couple of movies played the long ride up and back was smooth.
Went to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Was breath taking. A two thumbs up
Picked us up at the hotel in a clean, well maintained bus. Knowledgeable, extremely polite and pleasant driver. Comfortable seats, scenic ride. Enjoyed our tour very much, just wished we had gotten the longer tour to be able to see more of the Hoover Dam. But, it was poor planning on our part, Gray Line was great!
Worst tour experience of our lives. The day started off with the tour bus showing up one hour late to pick us up with no courtesy call to let us know. We had arrived at 6:50 am, 20 minutes early. After a long day driving, our tour bus broke down when we got to our first stop at the Grand Canyon. The driver told us that the company knew the bus was having problems and needed maintenance but told him to drive it anyways. (the driver seemed very nice but Im sure he needed his job) We were never told when to expect a replacement bus. After waiting almost 6 hours for a replacement bus it showed up at 10pm that night. The replacement bus did not have any air or air conditioning at all in almost 100 degree weather! The driver told us it was broken. The 5-1/2 hour drive back to Las Vegas was inhumane and tortuous. The bus was packed full and the seats were very small and everyone was sweating profusely and having troubles breathing due to lack of air flow in the bus. We arrived back in Las Vegas at 4am. That night while waiting for the replacement bus, customer service either hung up on people or just left them on hold when I or other passengers called. No apologies at all. The only bright side to this is that we did get to see the Grand Canyon and it of course was amazing but Grayline Las Vegas should be ashamed of themselves. I think its a gamble if you book a tour with this company. You might have a great time or perhaps you might have an experience like ours. The buses are old and not at all luxurious as they state and apparently they dont keep their buses maintained.
We took the west rim tour with a Mercedes Minibus upgrade. The driver was incredible. He explained and counselled us on every detail of the tour. We were very comfortable and had time to do everything we wanted. On the way back, once at our hotel, my wife noticed that she forgot her glasses in the minibus. We called Grayline, they got in touch with Danny, our driver, and within 20 minutes he returned with her glasses. My compliments and thanks to them.
It is a scam. The company changed my meeting point on the day of the trip without notifying me (which they know i would not make it to the meeting point ) and asked for extra money if i want to reschedule for the trip. This is the way the will scam your money. I have prepared all the proofs and you guys will be in trouble. They did not give me a refund too ! Scammer
I should have rated this company as ZERO!!! I booked a small group tour to Grand Canyon South Rim. Prior to tour, I called twice to make sure there were no issues with the tour; both times they confirmed my reservation and told me to be at the Aria by 7:20am. At 8:00am a Gray line bus came and the driver said we were not on the list and said he would call the office. When the bus was leaving, he said he had not heard back so I called Gray Line. The agent said my tour was cancelled and to get on the bus and they’ll issue a partial refund. But the bus had already left. All they offered was a full refund or sign up for tour the following day but we were leaving the next day. We went to Las Vegas to see the Grand Canyon and spent a lot of money on airfare and hotel. This really ruined our vacation!!! Anyone booking a tour with Gray Line BEWARE! I should have listened to the negative reviews before my trip.
Our driver Danny Ho really made this a wonderful experience. Very informative and funny person. Im glad my family and I made the decision to do this tour. Cherished memories
Thanks to Phil our local guide his narrative was great. We felt like we didnt miss at thing.
Good tour, got us to the south rim safely and on time. However we had bought a IMAX ticket with our booking and when we got to where the food and IMAX was we were told this stop was cut short. After talking to the driver he did say he would wait for us but now the whole bus has to wait for us so we were rushed and couldnt enjoy the film and even left early to not delay everyone else any further, which was not fair to us! I was told on the phone the IMAX would be built into the stop but this wasnt to be...Other than that it was a good tour, but i dont recommend getting the IMAX tickets lol
DISHONEST COMPANY.Bus picked us up at 6 am at a hotel close to where we were staying and took us to the company building. There, (after 1.30 hs from waiting for the bus until arriving at the building) they told us the South rim tour we had booked was cancelled due to weather conditions, but that we could change to the West rim tour for an extra $50pp, or we could be refunded or reschedule for another day. They had called at 5 am to CONFIRM tour and we had woken up at 4 am. At this point, given that we were already there so early, we decided to pay the extra $50pp to go. Bus driver was super nice and friendly, and staff on the Grand Canyon were super nice too. However, I cannot recommend this company because there was zero visibility and they said nothing about it. It snowed all day long and it was freezing. Most stores were closed, there were very few places to take shelter from the cold. We ended up having lunch outdoors with the extreme weather. I understand that they cannot control snow but they encouraged to pay the $50 knowing going there was a total waste of time and money. I will go again when weather is nicer, but will definitely not book with Gray Line.
After waking up early and sitting on the bus they had to cancel our trip because they over scheduled. We wasted money and a lot of time for pathetic customer service and just to be told well we can refund you your money, stating the obvious. They automatically called out the party of 9 to be canceled. How that was determined who knows. Do not book with this company unless you want your money and time wasted.

We were picked up at our hotel then taken to this bus terminal where we were gathered with other guests who were visiting the Grand canyon. no complaints. our driver, Armando was a great tour guide stopping at several points for us to sight see, eat and take pictures. he had a great sense of humor and patience. lots of patience 😁
This day trip to the west rim of the Grand Canyon was awesome. Thomas was our driver. He was really nice and knowledgeable. Kept the bus entertained. He did a great job at explaining what time we were going to be back to the hotel and how long we had at each stop.... basically, everyone was based on the passengers timeliness getting back to the bus. Thanks for getting us there safely Thomas!!!
Fil was fantastic! 5 star guide for sure. Loved having him for our trip to the dam.
Theyre pretty efficient. They do a lot of upselling which is expected. In the room before registration they offered Mercedes upgraded rides for 100 per person. When we got on the bus, cars were not as full as expected and they cut the cost to $50.00 per person. They didnt leave on time (probably 30 mins late) the ride time was inaccurate. They said we would be back to Vegas by 9 p.m. we arrived back after 11. The 2nd driver that was suppose to relieve initial person was not in place. The driver was great when he did engage. He played DVDs, wouldve appreciated occasional location distance updates...went like 3 hours without saying anything. They also gave headphones which were really handy.
Didnt stop by at hoover dam as mentioned in the itinerary. Poor and slow phone call services
Took a tour from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. The tour guide Danny Ho, aka Danny Boy, was the greatest tour guide Ive ever had. Very informative and kept us laughing the whole time. Definitely recommend tour and Danny Boy!
FREDDY WAS THE BEST TOUR GUIDE!!!!! He made the trip that much more enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, & enthusiastic. Appreciated the quality tour we received. Definitely recommend you will not regret it.
What a nice day we had. Our driver Mike was courteous, funny and did his best to stay on time. The greyline bus was clean and comfortable. Seeing the Hoover Dam was moving. A real piece of American ingenuity and manpower. The chocolate factory was a plus and we came out with some delicious chocolates. But the best part of our tour was the helicopter ride over Lake Mead and the Colorado River, it was our first time flying. Papillon Grand Canyon helicopter tours get an A +
Our trip was cancelled because they over booked. We wasted money and a lot of time for pathetic customer service and just to be told well we can refund you your money, stating the obvious. Do not book with this company unless you want your money and time wasted.
Make sure your getting what you pay for on your tour .. Agent sold 85 Dollar package each to Hoovers Dam party of 4 . Was to include transportation to Hoovers Dam got to Dam was told elevators were not working to go down into damn. That we would be shown a 10-minute Hoover Dam movie. We hopped on the bus our package included a buffet we got to Hoovers Dam Lodge there was no Buffet there just a sandwich and a salad or soup and thats all oh then we got back on the bus and went to a chocolate factory got back on the bus and got dropped off at our hotel .... Ask questions before buying your tickets .
Awesome 💜our Guide was very informative . and entertaining please get a CASH APP so you will not miss our on your BLESSINGS
We booked the south grand canyon tours on 5/31/2021. It started out bad because the driver was 1 hour late. But throughout the 15 hour tour/drive it was a pleasant experience. He did a good job.But at the end of the tour he was swapped with another driver. Her name was Ashley. She would not give us her last name. It was a terrible experience. She dropped off one passenger at the stratosphere. Way across on some back street. Customer told her she is at the stratosphere. She rudely pointed and YELLED ITS OVER THERE!. the passenger didnt want to make a scene so she said ok and left the bus. We thought that was strange. Then the next drop there was a group of elderly people. She dropped them off at some alleyway. Almost 2 blocks down. They asked her to drop them off where they were picked up. She said YALL NEED TO GET OFF OVER HERE. IF NOT I Will JUST KEEP GOING SO GET OUT. they eventually got off the bus and then she starts mocking them after they left in front of the other passengers. I spoke up and told her she was extremely disrespectful to her clients and I had her on tape and would be reporting her. She responded back with yall disrespectful. This is my first day on the job so this is where I am going to drop yall off. If you dont like it then do t take the tour. I asked her for her name. She said ashley. She wouldnt give a last name. She went on her rant in the bus while dropping off the rest of her passengers.Everyone who was on the last 3 drop offs witnessed the incident and should be called to confirm what commented. They all witnessed the incident. Extremely poor customer service and I would not be going back.
Great tour overall, Freddy was very nice and told us a lot of information. The day just gets VERY long with all the hotel stops before, If people are not at the stop on time the bus should leave! We waited a long time at hand full of the pick up stops for people that no showed.
Freddy was an excellent driver! Punctual, knowledgeable and funny.
We took the Gray Line tour to Hoover Dam from the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. The buses were new and clean, but the service was poorly organized. Basically it was bad planning augmented by bad execution. Our day began with a phone call to confirm our reservation, which was nice to receive, but the drivers schedule was poorly assembled, as their scheduler had allotted 20 minutes to go five blocks to the second pick-up location. We sat there for 15 minutes waiting for passengers and then wasted more time at the next loading spot. They must have had several buses making morning pick-ups around Las Vegas that brought groups of people to the Gray Line depot to board various tours like the hub of an airport. When we arrived, we directed to the cashier and paid $99 each for the trip, after which we found out that the elevators at Hoover Dam were not running, so we couldn’t go inside the dam. (Others had told us was their highlight of the visit.) (I should point out that tickets to presentations at the dam and lunch were included in the price.) Because of the elevator issue, they refunded $5.00 per ticket, but it seems to me they could have advised us of the elevator issue when they called top confirm the ride because once you’re at their depot, you’re stuck—and we wouldn’t have gone had we known. After we paid for our tickets we got free water and potato chips, but not coffee. Coffee was available in their gift shop area and, of course, we had to kill 20+ minutes drinking free water waiting for our bus to depart for the dam itself. We first boarded at 8:40 am and were on our way to the damn at 10:00 am.We spent just under two hours at the dam, which was not enough time—but did include visits to locations to shoot photos that we might not have otherwise been aware of. We then headed back, stopping at a local casino (can’t remember the name) for lunch, which was good. One of our group of thirteen passengers was taking a helicopter ride so everyone else had to sit around waiting for him, and our lunch ended up consuming TWO HOURS. Had we known how much time we’d be spending there, we could have at least hiked on some nearby trails. A statement from out driver saying “Be back at such-and-such a time would have been very beneficial. We then we stopped at a “who-cares?” chocolate factory, wasting another half-hour before finally heading home. Had we known how poorly this trip was designed, we’d have rented a car and made the trip ourselves. As a 35-year transit professional (as a scheduler for a large transit system) I was just hugely disappointed. On the good side however, we’ll never bother taking another Gray Line tour.
We took the Hoover Dam bus ride/power plant tour and really enjoyed it. There is a wealth of information presented, both on the bus ride and at the dam. The tour guides are personable and knowledgable and the tour is handling efficiently. After the tour, there was time for walking the top of the dam and more photos. This feat of engineering should be on everyones bucket list!
Took a Grand Canyon west rim tour with Danny Ho Ho. Great driver, very knowledgeable and funny. Highly recommended .
I had booked a reservation for Hoover Dam tour a month prior to my visit in Vegas. The booking was for a Monday afternoon. On that Saturday before the tour I received a call that the afternoon tour was not going to happen and I went ahead and changed it to the morning tour. Well, on Sunday evening I sent out an email for pickup point confirmation and got a response with confirmation. That Monday, pick up time was at 9:10am. I received a call at 7:00am and they said they were having mechanical issues their tour bus so the tour was canceled and I would be receiving a refund in the next 2-3 days. I will be on the lookout for my full refund. Frustrated that I was unable to use the tour I had been waiting for.
We took the limo bus tour to the Grand Canyon and we completely enjoyed our ride up there with our tour guide/drive Danny Ho. He is fantastic at what he does as well as he is very knowledgeable too. We will be doing this tour again when we return but please make sure you still have Danny there!!
I would just like to say I am VERY unhappy with the tour and feel as I need some sort of retribution. I paid for two tickets for Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tours with Helicopter and Boat. To start off we did get picked up by the bus at a very close hotel, the bus driver was truly amazing had a good attitude the whole time and was very informational and entertaining. I believe his name was Thomas! When you do get to the Grand Canyon we were told to adventure until a certain time to prepare for the helicopter ride. When it came time we got on the helicopter and flew to the Canyon. The total flight time in the helicopter alone was only ten minutes which was very unsatisfactory for how much we could’ve experienced and seen for the price we paid. Although we did land at the bottom of the Grand Canyon for twenty minutes to take pictures. But the MOST upsetting and false advertised part was that we were NOT given any type of boat cruise in the river like advertised! Then I was excited for the Native American cultural performance cause my Grandmother was part native and did not see or hear anything about that either. Overall the bus driver was amazing but I would’ve been able to save a ton of money by just driving to the Canyon myself along with paying for the Helicopter ride if I was still to want it after knowing it was only a ten minute ride total straight up and down. Along with not getting our boat ride like promised and not seeing any sort of cultural experiences. VERY UNHAPPY with this experience and will not do it again or ever use this company!
Our sign-up pick-up time was 5:45am. We got picked up at 5:30am at the Stratosphere Hotel, Casino & Tower which was great. I did get a missed call 📞 from the Gray Line Bus this morning. But we stopped at Circus Circus Hotel and Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino to pick up other travelers. We got to GLLV for check-in and switch from a nice Volvo bus to less nice a Prevost bus. 😒 And we left around 7:20am. We passed the Hoover Dam, which I couldnt see because a tractor-trailer was passing us on the left side and block our view, around 7:50am. 🙄 What a disaster! 😠Our very 1st stop was at a McDonalds 🍟🍔🍦 fast-food restaurant on ROUTE 66 / i-93 at 10:05am in Kingman, AZ. And the Bus Operator asked everybody to return by 10:30am so we can hit the road and stay on schedule 📝⏰🚩. But we ended up leaving at 10:35am because one person was still standing outside the bus 🚌🚍 while the Bus Driver was counting for missing passengers. 🙄 Since the bus seems to be making about 35 to 50 mph, that 5-lost minute counts. 🤓***************************************🗣 [(Not enough characters space to write ✏ more details!) Anyway, we made it back around 9:30pm and got to our Top of the Worlds 🌏 restaurant 🍴 reservation for 10:30pm that I changed earlier from 8:30pm to 10:00pm and then 10:30pm.] 🙄***************************************- Grand Canyon South Rim Tour costs $180 per person. But the authorized seller, Michael, sold it to us for $135 claiming it was because of his bosss sudden death this week. (My condolences again!) So, its $135 x 3 = $405.- South Rim: $135- West Rim: $170- North Rim: Closed for the winter season.- Noticeable from moving traffic.- Wheelchair ♿ accessible entrance.- FREE public restroom 🚻 for visitors.- Snack, soft drinks & Red Bull energy drink vending machines.- Friendly staff and Bus Driver.- Free Wi-Fi on the Gray Line Bus 🚌🚍.- 15 TV screens playing the rim trails video.- Non-smoking.- Bus# 5626.- Bus Operator: Mr. Armando 😎- Clean bus. 🚌🚍.- Mesh-style window shades for sun blocking. Mine came handy!- We traveled on the Historic Route (Rte) 66, through the William Town whose population is estimated at 3,000 🙂 people.- Audio history: Grand Canyons previous name was Big Canyon which was changed by John Powell...- Short audio intro of the Hoover Dam construction. According to the video history, it was built in 1920 to control the flow of the Colorado River 🚣.- The Colorado River flows through the Red Rock Caves and the Grand Canyon... 🙂- Short audio intro of the Fiesta Casino for Las Vegas local residents which is loose on payouts...- The SKYWALK is not included. 🤔 ONLY the WEST RIM TOUR has access to it but still costs $25 at Gray Line Las Vegas Bus check-in or at the Grand Canyon check-in.***CON: January 27th, 2018. 😒- The IMAX Theater is not included. But the authorized Grand Canyon Tours seller or agent did explain to us that itd be included in the South Rim Tour. 🤥***************************************- THE BUS OPERATOR JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE GRAY LINE BUS WONT BE STOPPING AT THE HOOVER DAM BRIDGE TO TAKE PHOTOS of the Hoover Dam. 🤔 Im so confused right now! 🙄 Their reason was the Arizona Daylight Savings Time 🕒 has changed and it affected the length of time itd take us to stop at the Hoover Dam bridge to take photos 📷 of the H. D. Visitors complained of not having enough daylight time 🕒 to take photos 📷 of the Grand Canyon. 🤔To allow all visitors ample time to do so, Gray Line sacrificed the Hoover Dam stop. 😔 I really wanted to get out and take pictures of Hoover Dam. 😢😭 THEY SHOULD HAVE WARNED US EARLIER SO WE COULD HAVE ASKED FOR A REFUND. Now that were already on the bus 🚌🚍, we cant turn back! 😒 Very tricky! 😠Hence, I would definitely 🤓 not recommend the Gray Line Las Vegas Bus as one of the best ways to travel to the Grand Canyon South Rim which is the heart of the National Park.*** Thats the reason for my 2-star rating review which I changed from a 5-star. 😒
We had a great time on our Hoover Damn Tour. Luscious was a great tour guide.
Me and my wife took Canyon South rim bus tour through Gray Line on Sunday 12/1.The tour was overall a miserable experience due to following factors.1. The group that I traveled with was picked up by 9.10 am at their terminal against promised time of 7.30 am . This was despite, all the customers having to turn up as early as 6 am in the pick up locations chose by the travels.2. There was no proper communication of why this delay was caused and also the halt at this terminal seemed totally unnecessary and made no sense at all to customers. Here, people are literally given no option but to buy food from Grayline Cafe at this location .3. The trip was very poorly managed despite customers booking this weeks or months ahead and paid for the same. The bus was very poor in facilities . There was a wash room on board which was in extremely poor and unhygienic condition with no working flush . All this despite Grayline promising excellent coaches with good facility on board.4. The lunch was served at Canyon Visitor center 4 pm and by the time all 4 buses reached and people got their lunch, it was 40 minutes to sunset . People literally had to rush through their lunch in minutes .5. Driver was new so I dont want to blame much on him, but he also said he had absolutely no communication of where to take lunch or use any facility properly. All this added to frustration of an already agitated customers.6. Finally, the destination which all of us traveled 276 miles, was reached at around 4.40. Daylight was already fading and people were told we will get 20 - 30 minutes maximum to spend here . This was the ultimate blow to customers as we were promised that we will spend 4 hours watching different view points.Overall, as customers of Grayline we were deeply frustrated and angered by the way this trip was planned and executed. I will seriously recommend to stay away from them for any of your tour plans.
Worst service ever, do not book with this company. They do not care about the customers, I called to receive a refund and the person hanged up on me. Let me tell you that you can not reach their customer service by phone number, you can only email them and they only email me back once. Could not reach anyone in charge and everyone part of this company is so rude.
Took the Grand Canyon day tour with Gray Line Las Vegas, I can say the tour is neatand friendly. Quite confusing at the beginning as we must take a shuttle bus to Gray Line station first and after that they will divide you into different groups. Must wake up quite early and make sure the picking point. But so far so good, the tour guy was funny and the day was awesome to enjoy the Hover Dam and Grand Canyon. If you take West Gate, yoy can visit the Hover Dam. If you take South Gate, they don t habe time for it. The coach is new and comfortable. They do sell vip seats and there is better option to take a Mercedes van.
While what we got to see of the tour was good, the helicopter tour kept us waiting an hour and a half because an employee was late. Instead of telling us they kept us waiting causing us to miss lunch and the bus tour part of the experience in the canyon. When I emailed Gray Line they didnt respond until I called a week later to confirm they received my email explaining what had happened. Id recommend looking for a different company if customer service is important to you.
Express tour of Hoover Dam. Pickup was a small shuttle bus at a hotel around the corner from my hotel. Driver drove us to Las Vegas sign where we had to hop off, take a QUICK picture then come back so we could go to the office where we signed in, got our wrist-band and transferred to a larger, air-conditioned bus. That driver was really cool, giving background on Las Vegas & what its like to live/work there. The Dam tour was very interesting, just enough time, held my interest. The ride back was a little time-consuming because the bus dropped off at every hotel, except mine of course. lol I had to get off at the last stop and make the trek back to my hotel. Good tour, priced reasonably.
This was the tour company, they arrived on time to pick us up. The bus was clean and new it brings you to there location for you to get on the correct tour as they have several tours going on leaving from this location. They have a small area for you to buy last minute coffee and drinks, snacks before you leave. They allow you to bring food and eat on the buses. The staff was very helpful and polite they answered any questions you may have. If I had booked my tour thru them on line direct we would have saved $20 dollars for each ticket .We had the same bus we got picked up in for our tour, each bus has a guide on board . They give you facts along the way of your tour and of places you pass famous people in the area that lived there and some people that still live there. Next time I will definitely book my tours thru them pick up and drop off at your hotel after a long day is great on your feet .
Excellent experience yesterday on the west rim tour with sky walk. Our guide Freddy was exceptional!
Upon booking this trip I was super excited to be traveling from our hotel in Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, especially with a company that claims to provide “award winning tours”. On the day of we were told to arrive at pickup location 15-30 Prior to pickup time which was 7:10. We were waiting with a group of 12 for the Grand Canyon West Rim Tour. Grayline website advertised a “relaxing motor coach tour” to the Grand Canyon. Well we were very surprised when a 25 seat short bus pulled up at 7:28 with already 7 passengers seated. Keep in mind that social distancing is definitely not a consideration for grayline, the company that advertises “health and safety” on their website. We were even more shocked when we found out we had two more stops for passengers with only 6 seats left. Before our last stops for passengers the bust driver missed his turn and decided to make a u-turn on a 6 lane highway, where a truck had to cross three lanes to avoid hitting us. The driver then still did not have enough space to complete the u-turn so he pulled onto the sidewalk and tapped the light pole with the side view mirror to fit (he also did a I turn when dropping us off that also got us almost hit again by another truck due to him doing a I turn from an outside lane). Upon making it to the last stop there were two passengers who ended up deciding to get off due to there only being 1 seat left on the bus because the other seat left could not safety be buckled due to closeness of passengers. We then had to go back to a destination to drop 6 passengers off who were super unhappy with the services being provided like the rest of the passengers; this party was also expressing their concerns with the driver who did not have the best attitude towards them. One of the six was speaking to a representative that made the refund process seem super long and drawn out. As I had booked through a third party me and my party decided to stay as that process would most likely be even longer. Once we finally began leaving Las Vegas at 9:11 the rest of the drive was okay and the driver was actually really nice, but the entire experience with gray line was definitely not the “best of the best” as falsely advertised. The actual Grand Canyon experience was great but that of course is due to the employees there. I was a little down and feeling rushed due to our time at the Grand Canyon being 3 hours instead of the advertised 4. If you are deciding to take a trip to the Grand Canyon I fully recommend renting a car and going yourself because grayline is definitely not going to be the best or safest choice for you or your family.
Tour was great but getting there has to be better. We book a tour and has to go to Cesars to catch the bus. It was 1 he late. I also had to pay for parking. So we thought we would be on the tour. No we were taken to the tour building. Had I known that I would have driven to it. What a pain. The bus driver said he was a sub bus he knows the tour so we were good. Of course going back they had to drop off at all the hotels so it took 2 hours to get back to Cesars bail out my car and get back to our hotel and get dinner etc. 3 stars only because the tour was good. We drove back during the week and revisit it. Get a car you will need. If you ever drove in NYC Vegas is real easy.
Great tour! Danny Ho was top notch!
I can not recommend the South Rim tour. Our 16 hour tour to the South Rim was filled with long unnecessary stops. First at the Gray Line center, where they tried everything to sell upgrades (Jeep Tour, VIP seating in a van, movie show, helicopter flight). Then another stop at a McDonalds restaurant just one hour before lunchbreak (1,5h for not even hot complementary food). Sure, the view at the Hoover dam and the South rim was worth all the ride, but it wasnt comfortable at all. And my rating is not about a natural view but a tour sold for 122,-. Please check the aircondition, it was really cold during the ride even with a hoodie.
Very RUSHED tour. Not enough time. Only saw one stop out of the two stops of the tour. Zack Beckham, the office manager refuses to provide a refund but offered Horrible customer service. We got dropped off at the park around 11am. Our driver told us we needed to be back on the bus to go home at 1:15 roughly leaving 2 hours to see the park. Gray Line does not factor in the time it took to wait in line for lunch, wait in line for the skywalk, wait in line for photos, and then wait in line for the shuttle buses and then be back at 1:15.The only good thing about this tour was our Driver, Danny Ho. He was funny and friendly.
The bus driver was wonderful! However the customer service, office manager was a disgrace. I unfortunately got the noro virus the day before my tour they told me I could reschedule with no charge. The morning of our tour they didn’t even have us listed they made me pay $80 or I wasn’t able to go. They would of rather me go throwing up on the bus than change the day to three days later. With the state our country is in you would think they would rather take precautions on getting anyone sick. With corona going around I would think twice before booking this tour company! No one was willing to even think about refunding us the $80 even though there was plenty of room on the bus. AND they stated the day we canceled they would waive the fee. Clearly that was a lie just to get us on the bus. It would be in your best interest to choose another tour company over this one any day! They are all about making money and nothing about customer satisfaction.
I wish I could remember the name of our bus driver as she was really sweet. We chose the Hoover Dam tour. The driver stopped at a few other places of interest to let us look at bug Horn sheep and the Vegas sign. The only downside to the tour is the dam was closed for tours the day we went. We were still able to walk around and take pictures though.
We were very unhappy with our bus drivers service throughout the extent of the trip. He was very rude and disrespectful in his words and attitude, making sarcastic remarks and comments towards other passengers when they took an extra minute to get on or off the bus or when he was asked a question. He demanded that we all pay him a mandatory $5/ per person fee to be dropped off at our hotel. He stated that this was Gray Lines policy and also made it known that he expected a tip on top of this fee by announcing it overhead several times. When some of the non-English speaking customers did not understand his directions he told the passengers to not try to act like they didnt understand English now and that he would make them understand and get the money one way or another. He was very irritated and began to drive erratically through Las Vegas city streets, not slowing down for turns and flooring the gas in between red lights. It was very uncomfortable and scary for all of the passengers. After calling Gray Lines customer service line I was informed that there is NO such fee, so the bus driver was collecting our personal money for himself posing it as a fee from the company.I can understand that it was an incredibly long day for everyone, the driver included. However, the discriminatory and threatening comments were highly inappropriate and uncalled for. I reached out to the companys email service line as I was informed to do by the customer service rep and they sent me a very generic email back stating basically that the driver would be spoken with, but no reconciliation for myself or my 3 traveling companions.Unfortunate way to experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon, next time we will most likely rent a car instead of take the gamble of being stuck in the bus with a belligerent, miserable bus driver.
The reason for my one star review is mainly for the driver. Everything was good from the beginning even thought they picked us up 30-40 min late from our pickup destination. I DON’T appreciate the driver demanding for a tip from people who don’t carry cash. He literally stayed there telling a couple in front of us asking for it and for like five minutes and then moved on to the next where’s the $10. A tip is VOLUNTARY from the kindness of people’s heart it’s not mandatory.
Incredible trip to the Grand Canyon. It was a long day but well worth it. The bus was clean and comfortable and everything went as scheduled. Our driver was very personable and quite informative. Once we arrived we had lots of time to explore and take pics. The views are breathtaking. So glad we decided not to drive ourselves. Would highly recommend.
We got the upgrade at the tour facility. Our driver was friendly, helpful and a great driver. He gave excellent instructions ahead of time and kept us all on schedule. Going with the smaller group turned out to be an awesome choice and we were both very happy with the tour.
We booked a trip to the Grand Canyon to see the West Rim which is a very long day, 5 hour ride from Vegas to GC West Rim. Our driver Ozzie was fantastic - personable & knowledgeable & we made a few rest stops along the way. We also booked a 30 min. helicopter ride into the Canyon ... words cannot describe this place. Gray Line organized logistics between our bus & the airport. Trip well worth the money! 👍😊
Gray line Las Vegas tours was amazing! Our family of 7 booked a tour to the grand canyon south rim (a 15 hour tour) That morning we had 2 kids who were not feeling well enough for a full day tour on a cold rainy day (25 degrees and windy at the canyon) Steve at Gray Line made us feel welcome, moved us to a deluxe Hoover damn tour and gave us access to the VIP room with food and drinks while we waited for the tour. Steve went above and beyond to make our day great. I will be booking another tour with this company!!!
Our driver was Juan and he was great!! Took a tour of the Hoover Dam/ Grand Canyon. He was knowledgeable about the canyon and the people near the canyon. Great driver with a great attitude. Definitely would advise Juan for any travel with Gray Line Las Vegas
Professional and courteous.Entertainment included from very knowledgeable driver.Very comfortable and smooth ride.Coach was well maintained and clean.Well worth the money.Definitely will use again
We took the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead tour from Las Vegas. The tour was full and we enjoyed the Lake Mead boat tour. We arrived at Hoover Dam around 2:15pm. Our driver (who had such a heavy accent we had a hard time understanding him) instructed everyone that we needed to be back at the bus at 4pm promptly. When we entered the visitor center we were directed to the line for the power plant (behind the scenes) tour, which we paid for. There was a lady there that was telling everyone that the wait for the tour was 2 hours. We were disappointed, but appropriately got out of line and viewed the exhibits and walked to view the dam outside. We returned to our bus at 3:55 and our driver and bus was not there. About 15 min later one member of our party located the driver standing away from our meeting location. He told him that he was instructed by the Gray Line office that he needed to wait for some members of our group that decided to take the tour even though they knew they did not have adequate time. The driver did not announce to everyone what the delay was. We were not allowed to get on the bus. By the time everyone returned it was 1 hour and 15 minutes late. We needed to adjust our evening plans for the lost time. To add insult to injury the driver refused to drop us off at our pick up location. He dropped us off at a different hotel. We contacted Gray Line to request a partial refund and they refused to refund even the cost of the tour we didnt receive. I would not recommend Gray Line Tours out of Las Vegas.
Arriving after 4 hours driving at such a breathtaking place like the Grand Canyon its totally worth, however, you should allow an extra hour for visiting the place. I know the actual timing its already too long for the driver, but think about bringing two drivers for each bus, so they can switch. Ow, and by the way, teach the drivers that out of the USA having to give tip as an obligatory thing its not quite as usual. Our driver (i dont remember his name) even proposed us to leave the bus and go to an ATM to get some money for him when the bus was ready and people was waiting. Dont lie saying that you earn a living thanks to tips, because you were making $10 per person, so it makes $500 by bus every day you work. Entertainment during the trip is good!
Took the express trip to Hoover Dam... It felt like the cliffsnotes to the Hoover Dam. If you are working with limited time maybe this is worth it for you. Additional, it was fairly priced as it was just two of us going, but it would have cost about the same to drive ourselves there (but on sight we wouldve had to pay for the tickets) and we wouldve had more time. Though, maybe if you are afraid of driving to Hoover Dam or heights you should definitely look into a tour with Gray Line. Also keep in mind that the tours at Hoover Dam is not done by the tour company.Staff was friendly, and courteous.Maybe I just didnt take the right tour, but I hope my review can clarify some of the parts that arent explained.
Great trip, our DAM driver was a charmer. Bus was clean. I still dont know how the driver negotiated the tight streets. Since we were the first to be picked up we got a good tour of the Strip. Glad we were the first to be dropped off.
My Vegas Vacation was phenomenal because of the wonderful Experience we got from our tour bus driver by the name of MIKE. He has the best Costumer Service of all. This guy is the reason why your company stands out.Very particular with safety for passengers and will not leave any stones unturned when it comes to it. He is very funny and kept us all laughing and giggling during our ride to Hoover Dam. I am already recommending your service to all my friends here in Canada. I wish that you keep up your Very Excellent Service to everyone. And for Mike, a Standing Ovation!!! Thank you and i will definitely be doing a Tour Guide with you again.
Trip was good and as advertised. Timings all good and we had a great day . However the driver drove us crazy. The PA system was crackly and distorted and given he didn’t draw breath for three hours we both ended up with headaches. I’ve no doubt he means well, but he suffered from an acute case of verbal diarrhoea!!! Just wittered on about the most utterly inane things that had nothing to do with the trip. Yes you want someone to add flavour and info as you go but he just couldn’t stop talking! Plus it’s hardly comforting that he’s holding the mike with one hand whilst driving with the other. As I said he no doubt means well and tries hard, but there’s simply no need for him talking continuously for 6 of the 9 hours we were in the coach . It took the edge of an otherwise great trip.
The Hoover Dam tour with this company was well worth it! Our tour guide Tony was very knowledgeable and funny. The bus driver (unfortunately forgot his name) was a good driver as well. The bus was very nice, comfortable, and clean. Overall great experience.
Today was fantastic!! Thank you Thomas at Gray Line Bus tour in Las Vegas, Nevada for making my first visit to the Hoover Damn and Grand Canyon an experience I will never forget. Thomas, you were very entertaining which made the drive to each site go by quickly. I enjoyed the way you incorporated humor into explaining bus policies and the educational audio that explained the history behind each site. I can’t wait to use your tour company again on my next visit. Keep up the good work Thomas!!
Champagne Tour was so much fun! Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. We hit some great spots without having to uber or walk to them. They pick you either very near or at your hotel. It was a great time!
I researched many tour companies months before our trip. We were only interested in the power plant tour. So we booked ahead, paid in advance for the day trip from Las Vegas that included the power plant. When we arrived at Gray Line we were informed that the plant is closed because of a broken elevator. When we got to the Dam, there was a line of people getting on an elevator and taking THEIR tour of the plant, so we asked the ticket taker and the security guard. The power plant was NOT closed, it HADNT BEEN closed, the elevator WASNT broken, and Gray Line is NOTORIOUS for lying to their customers. When I asked why, he reminded us that the tour included only gas for the bus round trip from Vegas and the bus drivers wage. There was no guide, no education, no value added, but they charged us $58 to include the cost of the plant tour that didnt happen. CROOKS!!! The bus driver wouldnt respond with anything other than I was told it was a broken elevator and they didnt take us back to Gray Line after the tour to speak to anyone else. They dropped us straight to our hotel so they wouldnt have to deal with our feedback. Traveled February 2019
Loved the ride, the driver and the presentation. Polite staff, clean bus and well organized. Very timely and just about enough time alloted and back to our hotels before we got too tired.
Great Trip to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. Driver/ Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and made trip excellent. Thanks Mr, Carrrrlito.
Our bus broke down for close to three hours but that wasn’t a big deal. My family is pretty easy going. They also refunded the money we paid to upgrade our tour and sent me a letter for a discount any tour we purchase in the future. A very well managed response to a problem! An added bonus because we were so late getting to the Grand Canyon (which is beautiful) we got photos of the Grand Canyon at sunset.
They will try to sell you a tour for an extra 10.00 dollars they will stop at the Las Vegas sign on the way to Hoover Dam then they wont. Then trying to get your money back is a Joke because they just pass the buck on someone else. Keep and eye out!Further more you cant keep saying you are not responsible for it however your driver was the one who made excuses not to go there. And your vendors are the ones who charged extra so you are responsible for your vendors because they represent you!
This bus tour was the best. Our bus driver and your guide was great. Tommy T. was an excellent driver to and from the locations. In addition, He educated us on what to do and not to do while visiting the Grand Canyon. He kept us engaged the whole time while traveling to the tour sites. At the end of the tour he gave all of us a souvenir from the trip. Thanks so much Tommy T. You are the best.
I took a tour to the Grand Canyon with this company I was absolutely amazing my driver was absolutely great we took the Grand Canyon west rim on August 28th and we had an absolute blast our driver was awesome the experience was awesome the trip was awesome. Although the bathroom was out of order on the bus the driver was amazing make sure we never needed anything and made sure we always knew what was going on help us plan our trip at the canyon and plan our time as well thank you guys very much for a lifelong memory
Our guide, Rick was the worst. Came across as a nice, friendly guy but turned out to be anything but. First, he says that whatever we were told about our Grand Canyon South rim tour from Las Vegas was a lie, giving us the feeling that he was going to do things his way. He skipped the first stop altogether, the bridge overlooking the Hoover dam because he said it would set us back time-wise. Imagine that, the very first stop, and after I had told two people with us we were going to see the dam (they had never seen it before). When we got to the canyon area, there were two people that signed up for a helicopter tour. He personally escorted them off the bus to the office but as the bus was leaving the lot, they came running out. Apparently it was the wrong tour. Rick got very angry and swore, also saying they were stupid people. He continued to embarrass them when they reboarded the bus. How were they to know? Thats why we wore colored wrist bands. If theyve never been to the canyon, how would they know that was the wrong location? The tour includes a stop at Mather point but he kept saying that people dont always get back to the bus on time and that he really should leave them behind and figure out how to get back to Vegas. He then asked the people on board if they would like to just go to the Bright Angel lodge or both. The majority of the people said both. But instead we were just taken to the lodge. He kept on emphasizing how important it was to be waiting outside when it was time to leave, saying you dont want to be left behind. But he was 20 minutes late at pick up time. No apologies, just said he and his driver had paperwork to do. As we were approaching Vegas, he asked us for our hotels. When our bus arrived at the rendezvous point for the buses to the different hotels, he did not mention our hotel which led us to believe that we were to stay on our original bus. When he double checked with us on our hotel, he said we should be on a different bus. After we left our bus to board this second bus and giving him a generous tip, we were told by the second bus that there was no room. When we went back to our original bus we were denied access by Rick and told to board a third bus. This we did but we were the last ones off and returned to our hotel past 11pm. I am always going to remember Rick for the bad service. If we ever catch another tour with this guy, can you guess what kind of tip hell get?
I suggest do not go with them. They know that there zero visivisibility at rim but they mislead and took more money for trip. They said they will provide lunch but there was no lunch. I wasted my whole day and the money.Whoever reading try to understand what the pain I had to undergo.
Very unprofessional and terrible service . DO NOT USE grey line Las Vegas ! Booked a helicopter tour 3 days in advance and just called (luckily!) to reconfirm pick up an hour in advance of when we were to leave and was told to was cancelled ! Blame shifting between grey line and airline company and no one had a clue of what was going on and if I hadn’t called to check, no one would have bothered to inform and would have just been stood up at the pick up point . Despite the weather being sunny and clear and all other tours flying and offering options, they claimed this tour was cancelled .Absolutely ridiculous ! Also the call centre staff keeps you on hold endlessly without warning and is seriously under equipped to deal with questions !Am sorry I ever attempted to use them
Gray line took us to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The bus driver was fabulous and kept us to informed all day long. His knowledge of the area was first class. He even provided entertainment on the coach.
My parents and I purchased the South Rim Grand Canyon Bus Tour at the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. She vouched for the company, and stated that Gray Line had an excellent reputation and our trip would be money well-spent. It wound up being the most exhausting, frustrating, and disappointing experience of our entire vacation. We were picked up from our hotel at 6 am, and driven to the main hub where we were separated into our respective groups depending on which tour we had purchased. Off the hop, it was quite obvious that the company was encouraging the tourists to spend money at the cafeteria. This wound up being a trend, as for the entire duration of the 16-hour tour, we spent more time visiting fast-food restaurants than we did the Grand Canyon. The first stop was the Hoover Dam. It was a very windy late-October day, and our bus driver seemed disinterested in making our trip enjoyable. She recommended that she drive by the Hoover Dam instead of allowing us to exit the bus and walk the stairs to the bridge, which was part of the tour. She seemed displeased when a member of the tour spoke up for the group and requested that we sight-see the area in person, not from a bus. After the Hoover Dam, our next stop was a Subway restaurant, where we were encouraged to purchase lunch at the expense of our own wallets. It had been less than 4 hours, and we were already on our second meal. After Subway, our next stop was even more shockingly: a second lunch. This was the meal that was included and paid for in our tour. The options you chose from were decent, but I had no appetite and ended up saving mine for the next day. By this point, it had been 6 hours since the beginning of the tour, and we were disturbingly on our third meal of the day. We were still nowhere near the Grand Canyon. After a few hours of travelling, the following two stops were souvenir gift shops. By now, I had accepted that this tour was simply a money-grab, where we were expected to waste money at every corner en route. Finally, after 10 hours of travelling on bus and spending money at every restaurant and gift shop on the way, we reached the Grand Canyon... where we were assigned a total of 20 minutes for sight-seeing. This was the most disappointing moment of the trip - to find out we had travelled half a day to spend MINUTES at the main attraction. After we were rushed out of the Grand Canyon, we were hoping for a quick trip back to our hotels, only to discover we were stopping at Burger King along the way. Another half hour gone to waste. At this point, I found it comical and borderline disrespectful. We spent hundreds of dollars on this tour, only to visit the Grand Canyon for less time than I take my dog out for a walk. We spent 1/3 of the trip at fast-food restaurants, despite the fact that everybody had enough food for the day by their second meal. Sitting on a bus for 8 hours does not warrant eating at 4 different restaurants. Im aware of Americas reputation for fast food, but this was tour was beyond ridiculous, and simply an attempt to extort tourists to spend considerable amount of money at every check-stop possible.Additionally, our tour guide/bus driver did not seem interested in making the trip worthwhile or sharing her knowledge about the area or the Canyon itself. Whenever she shared a fact or spoke over the intercom, she sounded completely out of breath and borderline nauseating to listen to. She spoke in a rather childish manner, and wasnt able to form a sentence without relying on um or like every three words.Im sad to have given this company a poor review. However, this tour plan ought to be reinforced to allow more time at the main attraction. Im sorry, but I did not expect to spend $300 for my family and I to feast on fast food. This trip felt like a complete waste of time and money, where the only attractions we spent considerable time at over the course of 16 hours were restaurants and gift shops.
We booked our tickets through Groupon and the description mentions stopping at the Hoover dam and being able to take a tour. Well not only did our bus to lose communications, but there was no backup audio to support it at all or a separate bus to take us to our destination to the west rim. We werent told when we were passing the Hoover dam and it was disappointing to not have anyone explain the breathtaking sights around us. We booked an extra excursion to take us on a tour in a Hummer which was amazing and not with the Gray line group, however there was no time to meet back at the bus station so we ended up getting stranded at the bus station for two hours because our bus had lost members of our tour up in the canyon. This was not a pleasurable experience and I would not book with gray line again.
I must say, Grayline was the bus that picked us at at our resort to take us to our location for the Grand Canyon. We were on time and the bus was early. It was comfortable. The Next bus we got on to go to the Grand Canyon, we had a good time. The tour guy Dwayne was funny and kept the people laughing. He gave us some background regarding things along the way. Overall, we had a good time.
Time schedule was strictly implementedThe driver was courteous, helpful a bit witty, too. He drove safely n carefully.Bus was clean and orderlyLUNCH was great! Ample choices complete with salad, water and desert😁
