Swing shift auto is the place to go if you actually care about your classic or otherwise precious car. After I blew up the 454 in my 68 Chevelle Keith got it back in my hands with a new 502 and new clutch in under 2 weeks! To make things even better he gave me a fair price on my old busted engine.I can tell Keith takes pride in what comes out of his shop. My car came back meaner and cleaner and Keith continued to follow up with me to ensure things are going well. The engine may only be 11% bigger but I love it way way more now. Thanks Keith!
Honest mechanic. Great service. Wouldnt let anyone but Keith & J.T touch my truck.
Great Repair Shop.Had a minor electrical is. Tail Light was not Functioning Properly. Needed a new bulb and the Contact Socket Cleaned. It was a simple Repair and the owner of the business actually did not charge me for the repair or the bulb. Really nice to see a Honest Repair Business with good Morals. Was looking for a New Repair Shop. Well it looks like Swing Shift Auto has found a new Customer.Thank you,Alex
AWESOME!!!!!His work is genius and he was very fair. He had my car fixed in a matter of hours.Mr. Keith S. is on the up and up. He will tell you exactly what you need and be more than fair about it. His shop is impressive and that says a lot about the man himself. He treated me with respect and honesty. The quote he gave me was HALF of what other auto shops were quoting me. He was a real life saver and the extra $ in my pocket didnt hurt.I highly recommend Swing Shift Auto and Mr. Keith Saunders to any and all who need auto repair, customizing, etc.You WILL NOT be disappointed.
Looks like the reviews are pretty split. I took my car by for an estimate and while Keith may have a good list of qualifications, his demeanor and cost were less than impressive. There are much better mechanics nearby like L&S on Sunset (between the 15 overpass & LVB).Definitely get a second opinion before letting this guy gouge your wallet.
Keith is a customer of ours, and when an error occurred with an order, he was a complete stand-up guy. He had absolute integrity and it was a pleasure to work with him. People with his kind of integrity are the only kind of people to do business with!
I am 52 and I own 2 trucks and 3 cars. The only shop in town I would ever take them in full confidence is this place. Other than being smart and very knowledgeable, the man is above all, genuinely honest ! Great sense of humor too.Keith actually saved me well over 2k so far, in less than 3 yrs, on 10+ repairs: AC, fuel pump, manifolds and other bogus pbms - as diagnosed by other incompetent and/or greedy mechanics - still have their quotes.Great professional, thanks Keith!
Cool site. Nice whips!
Keith does amazing work at an affordable price. Highly recommended.
About a year ago I tried to rewire my 1978 FJ40 using a kit from what I thought was a respectable parts supplier online. I stripped the car of all wiring and started running the new kit when I came to realize that my vehicle specific kit was actually just a generic kit and I was in way over my head. I struggled for a bit generally making a mess of things before putting the job on the back burner. When spring rolled around I decided to get the FJ rewired and started looking for buddy deals or cheap shops to get this old girl on the road. I came across Swing Shift Auto on the web didnt pay much attention because I didnt want to pay Shop Rates. After a couple months of other deals falling through and the ever present worry of some half done wiring leaving me stranded in the desert, I bit the bullet and called Keith.I dropped the truck off on a Thursday before a three-day weekend and by Tuesday after the break, he called me to tell me he was almost done with the job and to come take a look at his progress. I was blown away, he had fixed things that hadnt worked for 20 years and had sorted out the mess I made with my amateur wiring attempt. His work was flawless. He is not cheap but his work is worth every penny he asks for and more. Keith wont spend your money on things that dont need it. Needless to say, I am extremely happy I didnt go to some cut-rate shop or have a friend of a friend hook me up. I now have a truck whose wiring I can trust to cart my family into the desert and will last for me to pass down to my kid.I wouldnt hesitate to send anyone to Swing Shift Auto, any further work on the fj will be handled by him and in fact, when I bring my 1950 Ford out from back east he will be wiring it also. Every time I dealt with Keith, on the phone or in person, he took the time to answer any questions and explain to me exactly what was going on. I never felt rushed or that I wasting his time. If you are looking for cheap, Keith is not the man for you, but if you are looking for a killer deal on AAA work you have found the right shop. As his website says: Good Parts & Service are not Cheap - Cheap Parts & Service are not Good.
Swing Shift Automotive is an excellent shop. Referred here by a stranger we met at the North rim of Grand Canyon. After paying another mechanic 500 to fix a/c in Salina, Kansas it failed after 15 minutes and when we returned the shop was shut down for day. Coninued on to GC and decided to leave early after altitude sickness set in. Met a very kind gentleman and his family shortly before departure and he said he knew a guy in Vegas(our next destination) or suggested we stop in a big town on the way: St. George, Utah. I opted for Vegas. After leaving Cinti with my two 12 yr old boys and having to replace a wheel bearing, battery, terminals, and then a/c failing I decided to trust Ketterer(stranger from GC) ..He and his family were absolutely awesome to meet. Contacted Swing Shift and they were already expecting me. He and his assistant were professional, genuine, and exceptionally kind to not only myself but even more to my children. His dogs were so beautiful and friendly as well.(2 Shitzus, Bundy and Gizmo). They did a thorough inspection and diagnoses of my SUV and repaired it PROPERLY, and at a very low cost along with Mr. Ketterer paying a large portion in advance on our behalf. Two days later I had an issue with my brake master cylinder which I had noticed may be an issue as prior to leaving Cincinnati. But I was not sure..until it failed in Nevada. I returned to Swing Shift and though he told me he did not see an immediate problem, I asked them to replace anyway because of prior sporadic malfunctioning. Definitely did not want to drive back over mountains with it now repeating poor functionality at times while in Nevada. They replaced it; again quickly and without a high cost.I will always recommend this shop after my experiences there. Note: I was from OUT OF STATE, and he was even more courteous, professional, inexpensive than my own shop in Ohio. (Yes, I did price comparison when I got back: to sort of rub in my own shops face...though they are still a very good shop too) So if ever you are in Vegas and need auto work done I would highly suggest and recommend only Swing Shift Auto on Cameron Street. Keith Saunders, owner operator....and yes, as I realized shortly before leaving his shop he has also been on several episodes of Counting Cars.....made it even more awesome.....Carmelo Decker
Where to start? Keith went above and beyond. I have a 75 Buick and had taken the engine apart to do gaskets, but lack knowledge in timing. I spent more than 4 days troubleshooting timing and could not get the car started for the life of me. I got Keiths card from another body shop and gave him a call trying to figure out my options. Before he even met me or saw my car, he was full of confidence that he could get it working, and even after my multiple questions, concerns, doubts, and scenarios he continued to insist not to worry about it and just bring it in. I paid to have it towed over there (by a very reasonable tow truck company that he recommended) and within an hour he had it running and let me know to come on by and get it. He did extra work he didnt have to, looked over everything and gave me pointers on what Id need. He was able to get it started and timed without the timing ring, and when I called the nearest Firestone earlier in the day and asked if theyd be able to do that, they scoffed and said they wouldnt be able to time it even if it had the timing ring (how can you call yourself a mechanic if thats the case.)I feel bad for my prior mechanic because unfortunately Keith will be getting my business from here on out.
