Super excellent environment for self-defense learning. The entire staff is super professional and very personable. School is well equipped and super clean. If you are looking for a great school to learn self-defense, this is the place.

Had my first class today and not only did it go well, despite my large timelapse between over a decade of Taekwondo, I felt that I needed to improve on so many things but everything was explained, exemplified, and shortly reviewed to ensure proper form and such.I felt very welcomed from start to finish. I started with the Intro package and plan to expand once the package is through. Truly, if I had more time in life, Id attend more classes just based on how this first class had gone!

I LOVE training here! Joe (the owner) is always willing to help, will make sure that you have everything you need. He finds a unique way of communication with every student. He will teach and talk to you the way you need to in order to grow physically and mentally.The instructors Dora and Kylie are wonderful, talented, competent, strong and you know they care about you and they want you to be the strongest version of yourself, just by the way they treat/teach you.The environment is friendly and always ready to push you towards becoming your best self! Especially for us women we need to be confident and to feel safe and this place can definitely help you to be more confident and to see your strength!

Great self defense classes with great instructors. The classes are reasonably priced and welcoming to newcomers. Classes are engaging and challenging and leave you feeling accomplished every time. I only have positive things to say about the training I received at Tampa Bay Krav Maga.

Such a great place!! They are welcoming and even take the time to learn your name. The work outs are hard but they are fun and all the instructors motivate and encourage you. Going to the gym has never been my thing but joining here has kept me wanting to go back and learn more!! Thanks guys for getting me up off the couch!

Great place to learn self defense. My two children attended classes here and loved it! My daughter misses the teen class and learned a lot. My son became much more confident during his time at Tampa Bay Krav Maga. The only reason we arent still there is we moved out of state. Thank you so much Joe!

The coach is awesome, its very important to be able to defend yourself and he gives my kids crucial tips to defend themselves. He makes it really fun for the kids and gives real life tips. Really recommend

What an amazing company!! Joe is a fantastic instructor. He is patient and willing to explain things from more than one angle if you do not understand something. He always has a plan B through Z, which is great for those of us who constantly ask What if?. Michelle runs the front office and she is super sweet and very informative. I have never felt more welcome at a martial arts studio and that type of atmosphere makes learning so much easier!! Cannot say enough good things about these two!!

More than I expected. I just started class here and I absolutely love it!!! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the instructor is great at explaining things, and I forget I am working out until sweat starts to pour down my face. I really enjoy the classes and with each class I see an improvement from the start of the class to the end of the class. The things taught in class are so relatable to real life and I am excited about the fact that I am learning things that can prevent me from becoming a victim one day and can potentially save my life. Best part about the class is there are people of all ages and of different activity levels and the classes fit everyone!

Tampa Bay Krav Maga is the best school I have attended to learn self-defense. Joe, the instructor, is well-trained and explains things clearly. He sets a good example for us by being strong and humble. He has not given himself a phony title to impress us. He adapts his teaching as necessary rather than try to force students to do something their body cant.The second thing wonderful about this school is that he charges a fair price. I recently completed a womens self-defense course at the school. The program is described as Real. Serious. Self-Defense. That is the absolute truth. The staff is first rate and the instructions are clear and practical. I learned how to protect myself in a variety of situations. I would recommend this training to anyone regardless of gender! Its been several years since I practiced self defense, of any kind and Ive only been training for about 3 weeks now. But, I have to say, that I feel great again!!I started with the 3 class invitation and knew after the second class that I was going to become a member. I like everything about school... The instructor Joe is more than knowledgeable and inspiring, the school is well kept and very clean, and the students are all friendly, welcoming, and respectful. Everyone encourages and supports one another to do there best and learn as much as they can. I go home after every class exhausted, but I cant wait to take another class.Im more than satisfied about my decision to cancel my traditional gym membership and become member. Awesome teachers and great atmosphere

Went to first class the other day. Staff was friendly and the instructor is knowledgeable. I like this style of training as it is more focused on hands on training and techniques. Its definitely a step up for those wanting to move up from cardio kickboxing. Would definitely recommend!

My son has been taking Krav Maga lessons at Tampa Bay Krav Maga since June. He loves the classes and Im very impressed as well. The instructors and other staff are awesome - very knowledgeable and helpful, and the school is well run. They are all personable and approachable. I have also seen a difference in my son - aside from Krav Maga, he is learning discipline, respect, and gaining self confidence. I drive 40 mins each way so that my son can take classes here. Believe me, if I wasnt impressed, I wouldnt be driving all that way twice a week!!

TBKM is an awesome place to learn! They welcomed me right in as a beginner and made me feel part of the family from day one. They offer classes pretty much every day of the week to accommodate a variety of schedules and have a great incentive for getting started with a trial session program. Its an intense workout, but the instructors really make you feel enabled.

Fantastic KMG (Krav Maga Global) school! I have trained Krav Maga now for several years at multiple schools and both the KMG system, and Joe Battle as an instructor are top notch! Good enough for me and some friends to drive 1+ hour one way to attend class. If you are interested in learning Krav Maga, then this school is for you!

This place is like the local best kept secret restaurant. Except not a restaurant of course. Ive never done martial arts before and I have never been in fist fight in my life, but Ive learned a great deal from the instructor.Extremely good people person, and is he does not have a one-size-fit-all approach to teaching. Caters to everyones needs and capabilities and is able to get a technique across with different descriptions.I primarily go to the fitness class, which is high intensity interval training with a punch of striking and is awesome (mind you Ive never kicked or punched anything before this class and now I feel confident with striking because of coming here). But from observation, with the kids classes Joe teaches before me and the adult class after the fitness class I attend, I see the people in the classes learning, improving and progressing in skill.If you want to do this type of training, you wont want to miss out on doing it here. Trust me.

Brian and Joe are very knowledgeable. They dont just demonstrate how to do the technique, they also explain the biomechanics behind it. I find their method of teaching effective. I attended the 5-day womens self defense class in April 2013. I was hooked after the 2nd class. They not only teach Krav Maga, they also promote safety awareness. For example, they will be hosting a home invasion seminar next week, then another womens course. I encourage women of all ages to try the course.

Joe Battle is a great instructor, the kickboxing class is a good class to take if your looking for a challenging work out. The krav maga classes are awesome too! I feel like Ive learned a lot so far and look forward to see how far I can go.

Ive been attending TBKM for just over a month, and Ive learned more practical self defense than I did in years of jiu-jitsu training.
