I absolutely love going to this Gold’s gym- I have been a member for a year and I am always greeted with a smile- JJ the manager is awesome! He’s always greeting people with lots of enthusiasm! I had a trainer for a year and it was a great experience! The only thing I have an issue is with the monthly membership fee- just a bit overpriced- but everything else is great!

JJ and owners sound like unreasonable people and do not care about safety.This place is a joke. I walked through saw nothing special. Most machines if researched on Athlean youtube channel do more harm than good. Nice pool though.

Just moved back to Laredo. After living in austin for 6 years. Today was my first day at the gym and it was a great experience. JJ the manager has been patient with my decision making. I ask a lot of questions and want the best deal (obviously). Through it allMr JJ was profesional and courteous. Touched base with every package. And most importantly he wanted me to have a clear understanding of what I chose with. Thanks guys

Ive been going to this gym since 2015ish, and have considered it one of the best. This pandemic proved it to be a lie, they don’t care about mask safety, glove safety, and the employees don’t care about enforcing it either. You can walk around the whole gym maskless breathing everywhere and no one will stop you. Absolute joke of a facility, they only care about over charging you and that’s it.

Gym has a lot of trash outside and is dark and scary.they need more employees seems understaffed. Also gym smells filthy and needs to smell cleaner. Please fix or I will have to change gyms.

Even after paying them for a year which was a contract. They kept wanting to charge during a pandemic and even when the gym was closed. Tried to cancel and they made it so difficult. After canceling they say I still owed them for no apparent reason I was not under contract nore even attending the gym. They are not a corporate gym they are a MONEY HUNGRY branch of golds gym and makes gold gym look bad. So F U :)

Just wanted to see around in case of registration next month. They didn’t let me in, told me wait for a few minutes for someone to show around, but waited a lot and left.

In COVID-19 times, its great to have a facility where you can get a workout and feel safe with social distancing and mask protocols.

The best gym Ive ever been too. I recall my last experience here working out with my friends and the rest of the staff are extremely nice and take time to greet you even though theyre all so busy. The only thing I would change is maybe an access entrance for the pool area. Great job Golds Laredo !!

Golds Gym is possibly the best gym in Laredo with lots of great equipment. The staff is friendly and the environment is always inviting. They offer a variety of classes that can help everyone achieve their own personal fitness goals. I have been a member of 4 other gyms in Laredo and Golds Gym Del Mar is the best one by far. I would recommend this gym to everyone! :)

I’ve been a member for about close to a year. I love it both gyms are great and the staff at both gyms are amazing. The fact that they have Women’s Gold is a plus the only thing I have a problem is that machines are limited and so are free weights I don’t go like to go to the main floor for free weights or use other equipment. Del Mar women’s gold is oddly shaped which sometimes make is crowded even though there’s handful of people there. Other than that would recommend.

I am very pleased to say the least of this gym. The staff is very helpful, friendly and approachable. When in need or have questions regarding workouts or equipment they are there to assist and it shows how knowledgeable they are. One thing that is a plus is the Womens workout room! Thank Golds and staff and thanks JJ for being their for your customers!!

Excellent fitness classes, women’s room, kids Club.. I love the instructors too, they have such passion and energy for what they do!. Such a fun friendly but strong workout environment.

I have been a member of Golds gym for about 5 years or more... I just went today to pay my monthly fee and this young girl(never seen before!) her tag said Leslie, an employee of Golds at the front desk was very rude., Seriously this gym it self is amazing. Unfortunately and very sadly for the Laredo community it lacks TONS I mean a lot, a Huge enormous amount of charisma and customer service. Not only her but most employees there including the manager are sort of antisocial. If I was the owner ... I would definitely put everyone on check. Don’t we know why chik fil A has a lot of clientele!?? It’s all about the way your treat the ones that feed you!!!I am seriously disappointed. And this will be my last month! I can take my business elsewhere where I can feel and be appreciated.

Excellent place to workout, friendly environment from the employees. Clean areas, equipment well maintanced and updated. I love this location since people go to actually workout and do not spend time as a social club. Is always a little packed but worth it the time spend there.

Staff is courteous and friendly; from management to the maintenance crew. My only issue is the limited amount of free weights both downstairs and in the womens area. Also, the availability of the machines are very limited due to the amount of people.

Front desk Serics was excellent. Assistance from staff is always available and I am able to feel very comfortable with any concerns I have. There is always someone who can help and have a proper response. Great service all the time.

As far as gyms go, Golds is pretty good. A wide range of equipment, friendly staff, and available nutrition in-store. My only issue was that the only way to get any information regarding rates was that I had to talk to a sales representative who wasnt there, and who never returned my call. I understand the need to up-sell or add on to memberships, however, some of us that just want to use the equipment should just be able to come in, sign up, and begin working out. I ended up getting a membership by taking over someone elses which only involved interacting with the front desk.

Golds Gym Laredo Stays ahead of the rest of the Gyms in the general area, overall well kept gym, always adding equipment and there equipment works 99% of the time unlike the competition. They have a knowledgeable staff to assist you with any questions, if you are serious about fitness then you wouldnt have a problem investing your money in a membership with Golds, if you are one of those people that are not committed this gym might not be for you. Year round Golds gym keeps adding equipment & classes, and is getting ready to add another location in the Laredo area...

Great gym, I’ve been a member for the past 8 years and i will never leave for another gym. But, I think it’s time for Golds Gym to be open 24/7. All the other gyms around Laredo are Open 24/7

Nice gym, fairly friendly staff. Clean equipment. My biggest complaint is the hours of operation. Some people need the weekend and dont want to work out around the staffs hours. If they had better hours on fri,sat,sun I would recommend it to more people.

Great gym. New equipment. Gym employees are great. Avoid peak hours (5pm to 7) it gets a little crowded.

The courts are always dirty, a lot of dust for a basketball court, they should sweep and mop everyday because they use them all days, the equipment is not in great conditions to be a golds gym the other location is nicer and cleaner

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. My account is paid through my employer, so there are often difficulties getting things to go smoothly, JJ has been a true professional in assisting me and all of my requests from my employer in order to maintain my account. Sometimes the requests dont make sense but JJ makes it happen, THANKS!

After just being a member in just 3 months this is my honest good review without benefits. Having been a clinical gym instructor in the past and a Physical Therapist this place is a legit gym all deserving recognition. It has a complete Olympic weight training caliber offering wide range of load, adequate space, offers different well-planned fitness classes (with very competent & genuinely concerned instructors) - like intense group cycling. It gave a exclusive area for female clients. A kids waiting room area is highly commendable. It also has a good basketball court with plenty basketballs. I could vouch for their no intimidation locker rooms. It has well partitioned shower area, nice sauna and well-maintained restrooms. When some people smell offensively, the gym is not. Cardio machines like treadmills have non-competing capacity at peak hours although parking space is the only one you will compete with during peak times. Long hours open from dawn to midnight gives flexibility to individual schedules. Staff showed remarkable customer service with good reception for comments. Good place to socialise and to unwind from life stresses. Very accepting to special clients (in fact, I saw numerous persons struggling with obesity, elderly, downs syndrome and chronic back pain working out here). They also have a points system every time you checked-in. It is also admirable that they also serve the community such as catering to the school-aged swimming team on their swimming pool and iron man group members sometimes practice here too. I have minor critiques as well that is already forwarded to an established feedback system they have but really the good overwhelms the bad. Great job and great value. The Golds Gym staff is always courteous and helpful. The weghtroom and restrooms are always well maintained and clean. The pool is always available and clean for use and cardio machines are always up to date.

Great gym to be at daily . Friendly front staff, weights always in place, locker room well maintained. I’ve been at this gym for a year and a half and I don’t see myself leaving it anytime soon . Looking in joining a gym this is one to be at!

Horrible experience would be the best way to describe our business with golds gym. Managers are really careless about customers who have memberships. Wont waive our membership and got charged for months that we werent there. They had a guy named Mauricio who lied to us about our whole membership. Telling us their wont be a cancelation fee.

Nice updates of equipment. It is a busy gym, so cleaning needs to be more frequent.

I was seeing large amounts of money being withdrawn from my bank account coming from golds. I went to complain and they said they had fixed the issue but as of now I am still being charged and have not received my money from the three charges the first being 75$ the second 76$ and lastly 85$ this issue has caused me to avoid depositing in to my bank account or being able to use my bank account at all.
