Took my car in at about 8:15 on a Friday, second to arrive. They didnt even start to look at it i till about 1:00. The tech couldnt reproduce the problem and had last time I heard has a stupidviser was going to try, this was about 4:00. I swung by about 10 minutes after closing and the the place was empty, a ghost yard. Not a single call from them.Got up Saturday morning expecting a call from them about any progress, nada. Got busy and didnt think to call them untill 12:05, no answer. Unless you are willing to call them every hour or two, use someone else.Sunday: Theyre closed. The whole weekend, no car. I had people to do, and things to see. Im starting to think I should charge them for the lack of use of my vehicle. Or at least a 25% discount.
Dropped off my 2009 bmw 528i with a tow truck due to an issue with the driveshaft. The staff there where friendly and fast in taking me in and getting the job done right. Part was under warranty and was replaced with no issue. Technicians are humble and go the extra mile to get the job done. Keep up the great work!
They have had our vehicle for over 2 weeks, never return calls, the front desk lady doesnt know how to handle anything, and end result saying nothing is wrong after a $300 test. Then they forgot to do the oil change i requested. DONT GO THERE!!!
Please go somewhere else. We took our business truck here for repair. After diagnosing, we were told the transmission needed to be rebuilt and was quoted $3800 over the phone with $1000 deposit to get started. We gladly paid the deposit. A week later we get told now the price would be over $3800 after the deposit we made. We negotiated and the price dropped and when we went to pick up our truck today the owner would not have it. The notes of the new price didnt get updated into the system so that meant it was his way or no way. Never have we been treated with so much disrespect and rudeness from an owner. Its not the price we are completely upset about it is the way this owner runs his business and treats his customers. Stay away and go to someone that will actually care.
Terrible won’t return calls doesn’t update you had my car in there for almost two weeks and they keep telling me they will get it done by a certain day and will call then don’t then when I call they have some excuse for me then set another day then the cycle repeats, I will not be going back here I’ve been without a car for two weeks and I need it to do my job
Very poor service and the owner is very unreasonable has a very bad attitude towards his clients when theyre speaking the truth to him or requesting service that he promised to comply with and failure to comply with it and return vehicle either on repaired properly or never repaired at all overpriced dont ever take to this location they will keep your car from multiple days and increase price while its in their shop and after that if you do not pay they will put a lien on your car so you have to pay a ridiculous cost to get your car back that day over priced in over charge on labor and parts.....

They lie, they claim to work on total car when they dont, they take on too much work that they can handle but so they wont get to look at your car for a week, when they finally do theyll take the car down the street to another car shop when you could have done that a week ago, so now youre paying two shops. The man actually said that he had too much to do that he preferred that I take my car somewhere else after having my car for a week. Dont take your car there. If you have a catalytic converter problem, take it to a muffler shop down the street.
I would like to say that the customer service was top notch, Johann was excellent in giving me the run down on my transmission. They completed the work earlier than expected. A whole rebuild of the trans on my 2004 Avalanche was accomplished in 1 week. They also cleaned up some other small issues. Great work AAMCO.
Solid company they do good work it didnt take a few days but I appreciate what they tried to do check Auto and one or two other repair shops diagnosed everything wrong calling your transmission or engine problems aamco found out it was just bearings save me a lot of money be careful where you go in Palmdale
They are very rude and very unorganized I would not take my car there ever again and also they did not check what I had them to check so they seen a woman and they seen a purse so they were trying to get every penny out of me that they could and also they went through my car and put extra miles on my car and did not do anything to my car but they charged me
Its the not handling the agreed upon deals and time frames for me I went to this place because I was my go to spot when it had different ownership this team in place now will cost you time and money AAMCO NEEDS TO STRIP THE NAME FROM THEM ASAP!!!
Another job well done! i always take my 5 series bmws for servicing here with them and they always manage to get the job done at a great price and done correctly. count on them for fast and friendly service that you can rely on. Joann and Doug helped me out with the difficult task of replacing the driveshaft, they made sure to maintain communication with me every step of the way and did it without breaking the bank and without wasting any time. Thanks a bunch!!

I was having problems with my transmission so they checking it out.
Took my car in Aug 28th possible transmission problem. Oct 5th my car is still in shop. They dont return calls, they dont keep you informed, if you call you are put on hold for a long time, then someone picks up and said oh, the person you need to talk to went to the bank, they will call you back. In the mean time i have to rent a car the whole time my car is in the shop to get back and forth to work. Call for owner, hes not in, he will call me back, i wont hold my breathe. I will be back with a update as soon as i can get my car back. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE I WAS QUOTED SEPT 14TH, 5-7 DAYS FOR THE PART TO COME IN AND 2 1/2 TO PUT IT IN...STILL WAITING FOR THE PART ITS NOW OCT 5TH...THIS PLACE SUCKS. Update: Its now Oct 20th still no car.
Bad management, extremely bad service, do not take your vehicle there unless you’re happy with lies on when your car will be ready. Mine took many months when the manager told me it was gonna take maximum 5 days. Wouldn’t return my calls and when went to check for my car manager simply wasn’t there. Even when I was told car was ready manager wasn’t there to tell me why it wasn’t ready.

I use to be a very loyal customer unrill the old manager became a crack head and stole over 4000 dollars from me and now the company refuses to return my money and the engine in my car blew cause no work that I paid for was done!!! The only good thing is you can get finance for the repair and there secretary Johanna is excellent with her customer service very professional love you Johanna and hate losing you exceptional customer service 😢
The customer service at Aamco is excellent. The Staff is very kind. Had my front and rear breaks done and also an oil change . They also have the best coffee. They were busy, but made sure I was taken care of and the best part they kept on letting me know how my repairs were going . I will definitely recommend people to go there . Very honest and you can’t beat their prices .

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! This place is the worst. I brought my car in on a Wednesday morning, and didnt get it back until the following Monday afternoon. The original issue was the engine randomly stalling out and the transmission going into neutral. First they quoted me $110 for the diagnostic, but then later doubled that to $220, claiming some special smoke diagnosis was needed. Originally they said the codes revealed the MAF sensor was bad, along with the spark plug and injector for cylinder #1. Then they told me the engine is running cold and needs a new thermostat, and that might be giving them false code readings. After I took my car to a better shop today, the mechanic there said that makes no sense. These guys are either great con artists, or unbelievably incompetent. The only positive thing I can say about them is that they are very nice on the phone, but NEVER return your phone call like they promise. (Except for Joanne, she was a sweetheart.) And if you call them within 30 minutes of closing time, they simply dont answer their phone. Ill update this review after the legitimate mechanic at the new shop tells me whats actually wrong with my car.Update: Turns out it was a simple fix, completely separate from what AAMCO was telling me. Not only that, but the geniuses there didnt even flush out the coolant system properly, they just topped it off with a different type of antifreeze, which is a big no no. So the mechanic at the other shop corrected that, and now the car runs fine. He said it was ridiculous that the technicians at AAMCO didnt even check the fluid levels when they first inspected the car. Thats just auto repair 101. Bottom line, DONT EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS AAMCO LOCATION.Attached below is a screen shot of the rating with the Better Business Bureau. Their grade says it all.

This is my first visit to AAMCO of Antelope Valley. Had an oil change and tire rotation and was totally impressed by their work ethic and professionalism. They did a great job! I went to AAMCO to have a car checked I was thinking of buying. They performed a multi point check and where able to tell me issues the car was having... (they were minor repairs.. a belt and some seals) I felt so much better about my soon to be purchase. I bought the car and brought it back for the repairs. they took care of me! Ben the owner is A great guy and likes to keep his customers happy! happy :)
While traveling home from my fathers funeral - we had transmission problems and pulled in just as they were closing. They took the time to check our vehicle, arranged for a rental to get us home to Nevada and kept us in constant communication on updates for our vehicle. The charge was reasonable, and they worked with us while we arranged to get our car back (renting a car from a small town was difficult to say the least). I would recommend them to anyone. They are truly wonderful.
I will suggest to AAMCO to keep doing what you are doing because some how you did a great job. You guys found my problem on my Saab immediately and I got out for less than a hundred buck! How cool is that? Very cool for me when you are short on money from time to time. Thanks a lot.
I spoke with Caitlin on the phone and told her what I needed done to my vehicle. She relayed the information to the manager Gary. He quoted me two quotes. I was there within ten minutes after our conversation. Before the job was completed, Gary found some online coupons that he applied to the cost of the work...brought the bill down considerably lower than what he quoted over the phone. Exceptional customer service and work!
At 1st when my transmission began failing I panicked and thought how am I going to afford this! I took it to Aamco in Lancaster and I met Jo Ann a very strong knowledgable person who walked me through the process... eventually I was told I had to pull the trans for an evaluation and had to pay a deposit to do it, ok that was fair. So Eddie called me with a couple options new and rebuild my current trans unit. I took the rebuild. My car was there a total of 6 weeks over the holiday season. When it comes to rebuilding vs. Replacement I had to hold a humbled heart and be patient be because a transmission has 800 parts more or less within it. So with about 4 or 5 cars ahead of mind Id rather be patient and realize Im not the only poor sap on the planet where I have the right to complain and push my project on the rebuild mechanic but wait my turnand have a quality job done than push them and get less than perfect bcuz I dont care whos in front of me waiting as well!!! I realized by reading the reviews all the bad ones are people with out the courtesy to understand and I guess thats ok I dont judge but I chose patience!!! And Im am happy with my outcome fair price, 4 figs is never cheap but still I saved 2000.00 and thats in a way priceless!!To Joann, Eddie and Mike thanks for all your help, Yes I will return for Aamco Lancasters quality service they took good care of my car and me, Thank You :)!!!
Went there a few months ago when my car (Honda) was acting up when I was passing by lancaster. They were very professional, they looked at my car quickly and adjusted something that was minor and sent me on my way. The place was clean. They looked busy and still were able to help me quickly.

The tiny receptionist girl is just the sweetest and has great customer skills, I went in with my brother not too long ago and she is extremely welcoming, makes you want to come back every time.! we loved our service and again thanks to the girl who helped us, it made everything a lot easier and a wonderful experience, she gave us a ride home in the shuttle and is surely a great driver, Very comforting. We need more people like her in EVERY BUSSINESS!!
Went the extra mile by offering to install the transmission cooling system which Nissan neither offered or supplied. Service was done quickly and the staff is friendly and professional. Wed happily go back to them for future service.
Took our car in for a transmission rebuild on a Friday morning and they quoted a completion time of Wednesday, Thursday at the latest, since they had most parts in stock. Our car wasnt ready until Friday and they forgot to put one of the hubcaps back on! They also stained our front passenger floor. We had to wait for Gary to get back to the shop just to pay for the service. No one else can process payments there but the owner! Im hoping the funny sounds my car is now making will disappear since Gary said we have to break in the transmission. For a nationwide transmission company; this place isnt very professional.
I love this place way better than the dealer I was shopping around cause I was having transmissions issues going to 3 different shops after to get a quote and decided to get work done at aamco cause Gary the service manager was very polite and knowledgeable and educated me on what my problem was and what caused it. The staff seemed very trustworthy shop was very clean and financing was easy and even when I pick up my car he threw in a courtesy detail nevertheless i will recommend everyone to come here. Lied right to my face. Told me there was no transmission fluid in the car and that there was a leak. Went to a small mechanic to put fluid and there was fluid and no leak

I have never been more disappointed with an auto shop.. if they answer the phone at all, youre greeted an overwhelmed employee or manager. I hate that I got my transmission worked on there. Now I am having problems again, and I cannot bring my car in because they will not even answer the phone. This place is the worst. Specifically the Lancaster store
I have had my car serviced there several times and every time the customer service was great. They are honest. helped me save money when possible. They picked me up from Palmdale to take me to the Lancaster shop. They were on time and communicated with me at all time. They tried to extort me for more money based on repairs they didnt even perform, the manager Ben and his assistant Joanne have been nothing but rude, disrespectful and outright unprofessional. I would rather have used a backyard mechanic then supposedly reputable AAMCO. They lost a customer for life including all of my family and friends.
PLEASE DONT GET FOOLED AND COME TO THIS PLACE YOU WILL REGRET IT.....So I call ammco and tell them Im a mobile groomer and cant have my van stay in shop they assured me it was a couple hour diagnostic come early no problem. Well we make appointment for 8 am next morning show up and by time they get it together it was 840 or so and we leave they said we will call u in couple hours and we can go from there. Ok cool its 1pm no word from them I call and they say call u back in 10 minutes hour goes by I call again they say oh hes running it give me 30 it now is 4ish and they close soon i live 30 from shop i call again lady says we will call u back or u can come if u need van i show up at 5 to be greeted by owner Gary he apologizes and does a whole song and dance discounts free services and so on so i say ok Ill give u a 2ed shot he says ok call u by 9 am i need 30 minutes well 10 am we call and he says I need 30 more minutes 12 I call and lady says he didnt tell u anything ummm no I called he put me on hold for 20 and you just picked it up off hold she said oh he went to test drive he will call u when he comes back.... NEVER CALLEDI show up at 2 PM and my van is sitting out of garage in a parking stall with the rest of the cars they hold hostage for no reason thanks for free advertising but I could have been driving and doing my own advertising well I hope my experience was a nightmare enough for us both and u dont fall into the waste my time company I reported to corporate as well IF YOU NEED A HONEST MACANIC CALL EXPRESS SMOG AND AUTO REPAIR IN PALMDALE

One year after trans was done and the warranty expired one day past a year My trans went out again and they wanted to charge me double to fix it! I scraped the car cut my ties with AAMCO never !!!!

Very dissatisfied with the service provided. Ben is very personable, but has little knowledge or practical experience with Honda Civics (although he talks like he does). Brought the car in for an oil leak, he repaired it improperly; after getting it checked out, it turned out that he had also misdiagnosed the problem in the first place. (Details provided below.) Long story short, we now have to get another repair on an area behind the first repair, paying twice for something that should have been taken care of the first time. Mechanic at the dealership was very understanding; he said that it would be an easy thing to mix up if you didnt know what you were looking at.The details:Went in for an oil leak, we were told after the diagnostic that the oil pan needed a gasket. The car came from the manufacturer with sealant, not a gasket, but we deferred to Ben as the expert (mistake). Picked up the car, paid a bill larger than our rent, thought all was well. Took the car to the dealership for a routine maintenance check less than two weeks later, they informed us there was oil leaking from the pan, most likely because of the gasket. Took it back to Aamco, informed Ben of the problem, asked whether we should put UV dye in the engine oil, as recommended by the dealership, to determine where the leak was coming from, Ben said no, he didnt need to do that (mistake). Ben took me back to visually inspect the leak (at his insistence) and even to my untrained eye, there was oil all over the edge of the pan (and gasket). He finished repairing his repair, I take it into the dealer the next day to be inspected, and there is STILL an oil leak. Its not from the oil pan, they tell me, its from the oil pump, above it. Apparently its easy to mistake one for the other **if you dont know what to look for.** The repair that actually needs to happen will require the removal of the oil pan, negating all of the work Ben did on the car. Oh, and the dealership is charging us less-- for a more complicated job. Moral of the story, Aamco does not know what to do with Honda Civics. If youd like to try your luck with a different make, well, its your money.
Horrible service and communication from the manager. Refused to call and put a claim through our warranty, and strong armed me into paying the covered repair costs up front, leaving me to lose money and fight the warranty company for reimbursement. I would have paid less out of pocket having my vehicle towed 40+ miles away than what AAMCO forced me to pay because they refused to do the right thing.
They had my car for over two weeks and did not even look at it they took a few parts apart to make it seem like they were working on it and they did not the mechanic that quit said that the car was just sitting to build a lien against it they never even looked at my car and wanted to charge me $200 to do a full diagnostics that they never did

I am very much now satisfied with AAMCO’s service and will recommend them to you at any time because they are very friendly and get well with people on top they explained everything!
Seriously love it here. My fiancé has taken both our vehicles here & we are ALWAYS treated with respect & understanding. The last few times weve gone in theres been a new woman named JoAnne who just a riot! I love having a female around who is willing to break it all down for me!I recommend this place to everyone I know- if youre looking for honesty & the best work-- this is the place! They wont make you buy anything you dont actually need replaced just yet & the staff is helpful!!Extra shout-out to the owner Ben (I think that was his name) who made sure JoAnn took care of us!

AAMCO Lancaster is terribly managed from the owner down to the mechanics hired. I took my car in there to be tested and ended up with a car with a completely defunct transmission. Not only was I charged for the labor and tests to get the car to the state it was left, but I was told I would have to pay for them to repair it back to the state it was when I took it in or I could purchase a new transmission. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they were found to be at fault, yet still refused to rectify the situation. An incredible level if ineptitude at all levels. Will never go back, neither would I ever recommend them.As I said in the first portion of my review, due to the incredibly misleading nature of my discussions with Ron (the manager) and my complete dissatisfaction with the work that was done on my car, I had the Better Business Bureau dome in and do an investigation and AAMCO was found to be at fault. Since the BB cannot enforce their findings and recommendations, AAMCO offered me a $400 gift card if I was to have my transmission repaired at the shop (the same transmission they themselves damaged during teardown). I obviously refused such an insulting gesture and I will never recommend their incompetent and extremely poor service to anyone.

I went to Amco sit for 4 hours to get an estimate on warranty repair. They ordered the parts and I made an appt. Got there at 8:00am and was told they couldnt do the repair until Monday. They said they needed the car all day but didnt understand I work on Monday in san Bernardino. This is the third time Amco will drop my transmission for repair. I really really unhappy with Amco service. I went almost three weeks without a car for there failure. Originally aamco Redlands repair it first and second. But this Amco didnt honor my appt. Unhappy customer.
