Greeting. I normally go here every week. Some cashiers know me too. We laugh chat etc..But today was odd. I went to buy some items and a young teen was inside. As i was shopping i noticed she had no items but was in each isle looking at things and at me. I said to myself she is security. 20 minutes went by so i made it to the candy isle she was right behind me looking. So I turned around and said How are you? She took her headphones off and said huh? I repeated then she said fine. I remained calm, but i wanted to tell her listen little girl, if i was going to steal anything i would have been gone! Not 20 minutes later. Yes I work, dress nice, nice car etc.. but i was inside too long and being a Central American Native and African in a mostly white area is a no no..My mistake. So what is the time limit for non whites? Let me know someone. This Dollar general branch lost a customer due to profiling.

The company just hired a young woman. I don’t remember her name but I know she’s working right now as I post this. She has a beautiful energy. She remembers everyone who comes in often. She is very energetic and sweet. I came in just now and I was so down and upset over a situation, and she literally made me feel better by saying hi, i said sorry I’m back i forgot something. And she said it’s ok. I love seeing my regulars faces. She is just a breath of fresh air. And even though this is just a store I walked out smiling. She should be a manager if she already isn’t. I wish i knew her name. Long black hair, black frame glasses. And while standing in line I witnessed her give this energy to two other people that walked in. I’d definitely promote her. Beautiful individual. I’d like her to know who said it. Give her a raise. Thanks

The young lady working this past Sunday morning was exceptionally kind and very pleasant to all customers with greetings everyone that walked in and also was working hard Stocking shelves in between working at the counter. The store is like you have such good quality employee.

The crew here is awesome, super helpful and friendly! The store also has competitive prices, lots of things you can find cheaper here than other local stores, same brands and all.

Went in for items from their ad. Unfortunately they were out of stock and the cashier didnt know what rainchecks were so apparently they dont offer them

Its a clean store organized very differently than any DG stores I go to. Cashier was fast and friendly.

Better stocked than most DG and staff is extremely helpful.

Lots of cool cheap stuff. Good parking. Its a good idea to go here before you go to GE or Heinens. Also Whole Foods and Luckys. I dont do food here but household items and pet items are solid. The store is pretty clean and workers are helpful. One suggestion is to play music. It was dead silent. To the point it felt eerie. Otherwise I recommend and will be back.

I went in to get a phone charger they did not have what I needed I tried to go down the aisles to look at other things there were so many loaded boxes that needed to be unloaded I couldnt get to anything that I needed to look for I tried to move a card it was too heavy so I just walked out!

Rating is based a a few employees of the store. Generally well kept and decent stock, no unpleasant smells or trash. However, going here so often shows me that some melanin-less enriched employees take frequent smoke breaks, standing right outside the door, stand at the register talking while one (darker) employee handles questions and everything else.This is routine. As a minority do not expect the white female employees to assist with anything, expect to stand around in a line of seven people while they take their smoke break.

Well stocked, well organized general merchandise store. Clothing and food as well as basic household items are carried. Parking lot in rear. Irked by the fact that street entrance has been closed - must enter thru rear.

People have to understand, with one register open, they do what they can with what they can. Patience is a virtue. 2 entrances. Huge parking lot in the back, recently repaved! Great location in downtown Lakewood!Download their app and you can save even more!Shout-out to managers Jessica and Haleyy!! They both are superb and excellent with their jobs and customer service!And note: this is a Doller General....NOT a Dollar Tree..everything is NOT a dollar! Byoull find pretty much everything you need for your home plus. They have food, beer, wine and more. They are NOT one of the stores that sells fruits and vegetables. Which is fine in my book. But, they do have other frozen foods and cold foods.Dont think twice about coming here! Its really nice!

It is what it is. Microfiber cloths, trash bags, chocolate, can of soup, shower curtain, all here. It is what it is, just dont expect the highest quality.

During day visit, store was dimly lit. Only one way in or out, front door is locked, I assume because they only seem to have 2 people working the whole store. Some products beyond or very close expiration date.
