Very salesy and pushy to sign a year long membership when we hadn’t even taken a full class. This seems like a gym for only those who want to compete competitively or committing to longterm plans- seems like they have knowledgeable instructors though with experience so that is a plus.Must wear their t shirts to class? Promised a 30 day trial but only if I signed up for the year membership? Not a pleasant experience for me as woman who wanted to try self defense BJJ classes and not ready to commit to an all-in approach

Experience: I did 2 trial days of MMA fundamental classes at Peak - and I am joining this gym (I have a month free trial but I want to start progressing now). I have never practiced any formal martial art, and its an intimidating experience for the first time. Some of you reading this are probably nervous about going into a gym for the first time. Just know you will be treated with respect here and you will shake the nerves after your first couple classes. No one is trying to snap your arm off. Ive noticed people of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds putting in hard work and we do it together. Im brand new, so it will take about 3 months or so to test out of the basic MMA classes and start diving into higher level Muay Thai or BJJ - that seems to be how things work here. Show progression, and you are permitted into higher level classes. Or just show up and get a great workout - your choice. Im here for discipline, structure, fitness, and mutual respect, and so far I feel like I have gotten those things.Pricing: The pricing seemed high to me at first, but Im buying the whole contract up front so it makes the monthly payments reasonable for having full access to Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu classes. To get best value out of this gym, I feel like you need to be prepared to make a long term commitment to the practice, and also prepared to make a relatively large down payment on the investment. The contract and pricing are definitely tiered to encourage you to commit long-term and pay up front.TL;DR - The culture is positive and supportive here. This gym is priced within range of any other legit mixed martial art practice I can find. Its a big commitment time-wise and financially for me. Im signing a year contract.

It costs how much? This isn’t a real martial arts studio and not a local business. Was interested and someone named Stacy texted me referencing an affordable price. Set up a meeting she she didn’t even work in the gym. She even texted me an excited picture holding a sign welcoming me by name. I was impressed. When I arrived and realized I got duped, I was almost sick because I was so excited to find a place to call home. The program is more than 1k. Move along to a reputable gym and don’t waste your time.

Called and asked about pricing. Guy said that I normally have to show an interest in attending the gym in order to get pricing. I visited here a while ago and they still did not want to give me the pricing until I took an actual class. Theyll send you spam texts and phone calls to get you to come in to take a class and wont give you any information until done. Even if you call back and you ask for information, they wont give you information until you come in. Waste of time.

My boyfriend and I started taking classes here about 6 months ago. It is so nice to have an activity we both enjoy while getting in shape at the same time. The space is clean, bright, and full of positive energy for all levels. Everyone is very welcoming and happy to help get you to where you wanna be. I have been apart of a lot of work out families, yoga, dance, soccer, but this group and the support from the instructors behind it is above and beyond. I can not thank them enough for the free virtual classes they offered the members during COVID. It really kept us going along with meal plans to keep us in shape. I am down 15 lbs during quarantine and in the best shape Ive been in in 10 years. You Guys Rock! Thanks Peak team. You are the best around!

I cannot adequately share the admiration, gratitude, and love I have for this place. Yes, they have a clean studio. Yes, the instructors are knowledgeable and skilled. But, I know there are skilled studios all over the world. What this place has that is irreplaceable is relationship. They proved to me on endless occasion that they valued me and my family as people and not just paying customers. I put my 10 year old Daughter and 8 year old Son in the beginner martial arts program. They both were struggling with self confidence and discipline. The entire staff at peak was dedicated to my children and to me as their parent. I special shout out goes to Coach Dillon Split. He mentored my son and walked him through being the (most challenged) one in class to being a top performer. This was not just skills training, but attitude, desire to succeed, and confidence. My son continually wanted to give up, but Coach Split pushed in forward in a constructive way. On top of that, he worked with me and my wife and how we teach, guide, and discipline our children. My children, especially my son, are both stronger people because of this program, and I will never forget it. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, if you need a place to learn, grow, and be truly part of a group, and learn martial arts, then Peak is the place to be. Thank you Peak staff for everything. Leaving you guys was one of the hardest parts of moving out of state.

The training camp has been my gym since March 2017. I can honestly say they are the best full contact martial arts school I have been associated with. I started training in the martial arts 25 years ago, have trained with 6 different gyms/schools and have competed in multiple forms of full contact fighting. The training camp is the best, from curriculum to taking care of the competitive fighters to providing a class for everyone at any age or skill level. They really take care of everyone without the abundance of ego so often found in full contact fight gyms. If you are just learning to fight they will get you started right; if you are experienced and looking for a place to train to get better they will get you where you want to be.

I got both of my boys signed up and now I get to share my love of MMA and Peak with them.I signed up last year, and now I have two stripes on my white belt and many more stripes on my life style. I’ve learned many valuable life lessons from the outstanding and very supportive coaches who run this place like a Swiss clock. I learn to be confident but humble, strong but supportive, and that all comes from watching and adhering to the consistent top notch coaching I receive from the professionals who run this school. The morale of the staff starting from the top is always high. The students who train here all share one amazing quality, and that is being absolutely humble and supportive of everyone who shares their love of mixing it up on the mats with them. The School is very well maintained, and is consistently clean and organized. The coaches are always present and are willing to address any issue or need I might have at any point. If you’re thinking about joining, or continuing with your Marshall Arts journey, Peak is the place for you.I managed to have some of my friends sign up here and they tell me how much they love the place and how grateful they are that I recommended this school to them. @ Pat Rick- I am very confused by your review and really question if you know who you are talking about. I would like to respond to some of your remarks about PEAK. You made some serious accusations/comments about a Martial Arts facility that welcomes every single person that walks through the door. I have never met or trained with so many humble and respectful people than here and that has been for 5 years.I would also like for you to know that I am one of many minority people who train there on a consistent basis. Therefore, making your complaint of discrimination against minorities a false accusation. I grew up being taunted and bullied because of the color of my skin for years. I am completely against discrimination in any shape or form and will not tolerate a person hiding behind the name of Pat Rick to make false accusations against this school. They are reasonable people and will help you meet your goals. If you really signed up for a year and was back to resign then you would know that. Why would they ask for 3x the amount? Makes no sense!

Everyone here was really nice and knowledgeable, especially Coach Mike, Coach Kong and Coach Tyson. Mike even allowed me to sign the initial contract for less time than was typical, which was 6 months instead of the usual 1 year.My issue was after I passed the beginner course and was ready to move on to advanced. I was informed that I could only move up to advanced if I would sign a 2-year contract. I had no idea that my initial contract didnt include moving up to advanced, and others I spoke with said the same. I was also not allowed to break my initial 6-month contract and was supposed to continue at the beginner level for its remainder (4 months) since I was unwilling to commit for 2 years. Had I known about the 2-year contract in the beginning, I never would have signed up in the first place. Im really glad I didnt sign an initial contract for a year, otherwise I would be really stuck. As someone else said, make sure you carefully read what you are signing and make sure it says what you think it says. I really wish I could have continued my practice. Like I said. Everyone at the gym is really great. If you are ok with a 2-year commitment, I would definitely suggest this gym to you.

I really enjoyed this gym when it was at its smaller location. It felt more like a community and less like a typical gym thats only after your money. After expanding to their bigger location, I extended my contract to keep my old members rate. However, due to changes in my schedule at work, I found it hard to attend kickboxing classes since theres only a couple of times available. I asked to cancel my membership at the end of my second contract and was given the run around by whoever is behind their billing department email address. I had made it clear from the beginning I wanted to cancel, but was pushed to come in to have a meeting. Finally after a month of trying (and a charge for $125 as a month to month member), I was given the cancellation form. I filled it out and returned it via email with no confirmation that my membership has actually been cancelled. Poor customer service as soon as they find out you need to cancel.UPDATE: Just as expected, I was charged again. I cant seem to get out of this contract no matter how hard I try.

I could not get a straight answer as to coston the phone. He did ask what I could afford and when I told him my budget for two kids I was told it would absolutely be within budget. Once we were there, my kids already participating in the free class, I was given a fee schedule which was 3 times higher than what we discussed. When I expressed my frustration he merely continued to pitch me the services as if the more interested I became the more likely the money would be able to manafest.

The People and Coaching at Peak over the past year has changed not only my life, but also my Wife’s and two young daughters! And to be honest, it was a little intimidating to go into an MMA / BJJ gym as we had no prior experience. First, we researched to find out what is the best self-defense (and discipline) training for our 2 little daughters (5 and 7 years old). It was glaringly obvious that BJJ / MMA was the choice and after researching all of the gyms in Denver at least 25 times on-line, we decided to walk into Peak on a lunch break and were greeted by Coach Tyson. At first blush, he looked very intimidating, borderline scary; ) (like what am I getting myself into type of thing), but nothing could be further from the truth. He has only addressed me as Sir or Mr. KJ and he is an absolutely amazing coach and person whom I now consider to be a good friend (over 135 private lessons thus far). My wife also joined and went through the initial program with Coach Mota, again another fantastic human being that is always making suggestions on technique, motivation and strategy. The kids program is run by Coach Clem and I don’t think you will find a better instructor for kid’s self-defense anywhere, period. And then there is the Head Professor, Mike Frison…another fantastic human being offering advice, instruction and encouragement. Additionally, my business doubled this past year and I attribute some of that success to the confidence that has been built up through training at Peak. Now that’s Value!

I came here with my fiancee since we were in town to get married, and had scoped out a few places to try while in town. My fiancee and I are serious competitors with Alliance Jiu-Jitsu in Chicago, so we were looking for some friendly rolls to stay in shape for our ceremony and a tournament when we get home. After training at another place in the Denver area where we did not feel welcome, we found Professor Mike Frisons team of awesome people! At The Training Camp, the people were excited to have guests and had some really tough Jiu-Jitsu. You can tell Mike teaches without ego because it shows through in good attitudes of his students, and the Jiu-Jitsu was the best we experienced in town! If we move to the Denver area (and we may) we will be training here, and you should too if youre looking for solid Jiu-Jitsu with good people and good vibes. We didnt practice any other martial arts, but the kick boxers looked to be solid and the facilities were awesome too.

I recently moved here from Seattle and was looking for a place with legit Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I tried all of the local BJJ places in Lakewood, Arvada, Denver and Littleton. They were all good, but Atos Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Lakewood was by far the best. Professor Frison just seems like he is on another level compared to the other Black Belts in Colorado. Nothing against those guys, they are great, but Professor Michael is showing high level West Coast Jiu-jitsu here in the Rockies, I feel like I am back home!

Beware what you sign when you go here!!!! Must cancel 30 days in advance by written request or they will continue to bill you!! The instructors failed to mention the imperative nature of this every time I tried to contact them to stop billing me, which is very shady.
