This gym has the best coaches and the best community of any gym I’ve ever been to. And unlike many other CrossFit gyms, this gym is all about progressing with good form to avoid injuries. Everything is scalable so that no matter your experience or inexperience, you’re going to get a fun and safe workout. And the best part - the people at this gym are the most fun and friendliest group of people anywhere. The workouts are hard but my time in the gym is my favorite part of the day.
I’ve been involved with CrossFit since 2008 and I don’t just join any gym. I appreciate this gym be as welcoming as they have been. Excited for my future with CFCF!
This gym is truly a hidden gem in Denver. Such a high quality CrossFit programming and the coaches care about you beyond your qualities as an athlete; they really want you to feel part of the community. Every person who comes here has their own personal goals and are celebrated individually. I highly recommend this place.

Being at CrossFit Common Fortitude has been a great experience! Shaun cares so deeply about all of his clients and it shows. He also makes sure that the atmosphere stays all-inclusive and programs as such. I’m so glad I found this gem when I moved to Lakewood almost a year ago now.
I love our gym for the diversity of folks as well as their varied levels of athleticism from newbies to competitors. Everyone encourages each other and the coaches meet each person at their level with teaching given to all. I was brand new to crossfit, weightlifting, etc., and have a ton of fun refining the movements and enjoying the fitness. Muscles are pretty helpful in day-to-day living.
I popped into CrossFit Common Fortitude while I was travelling - had never done CrossFit and was unfamiliar with both their gym, their instructors and the workout. None of that mattered - everyone was gracious and welcoming, from Shaun and Steph to James, who coached my workout, even to the other patrons. Everyone was so nice and so welcoming - the workout was hard, but the coaching was fair and pointed. The gym was even clean and obviously well organized. If I lived there or travelled through, I would whole heartedly go back & I’d highly recommend to any level individual who wanted to check it out.

This place saved me a year ago when my beloved Mountainside Crossfit had to close its doors permanently due to Covid-19. Common Fortitude has become my new home. The coaches are great, the members are fun, and THEYRE EXPANDING. So happy I found this place.

Over the years, Ive been a member at a number of Crossfit gyms around the US. Crossfit Common Fortitude is the first gym Ive been to where I truly feel engaged by the coaching staff and other members. At other places, I found that the more competitive gym members were less social and less inclusive with us regular folks. I also found that coaches concentrated more on the competitive athletOver the past 10 years, Ive also had chronic back issues. Of course, this was a concern for me when starting Crossfit again. However, the coaching staff have been able to modify the workouts so that I can strengthen my core and back safely. This has allowed me to gains strength and also decrease my back pain significantly.I dont LOVE to workout, but Im happy I have a place to go to where I can be with people who are caring and fun!

I came into the gym a year and a half ago with high blood pressure and that undeniable beer gut (though I’m a whiskey guy).Shaun is welcoming, encouraging, and motivating! Amazing gym and training team! I am brand new to CrossFit and working out but my experience with Sessions:6 CrossFit blew me away. The coaches are very knowledgeable and attentive, which for someone new and intimidated by the workouts was exactly what I needed. The team environment helped encourage me and made me excited for the next session and the fact that the workouts changed all the time kept me interested and motivated. I worked out harder than Ive done before and learned how strong I can be when I really apply myself with proper instruction.The gym owner Shaun helped me each step of the way and I never felt like I was on my own, he is very reassuring and always had a modification for me to use in each exercise if I needed it.Do yourself a favor if you want to try CrossFit or are new to working out and try sessions:6, you will always work out hard and enjoy it every step of the way.
I met Kathy, co-owner of Sessions:6 Sport Performance, at a womens Strength & Yoga seminar at Wheat Ridge Cycles. She led the strength training part; was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and joyful.I recently jumped into technical mountain biking with hopes to ride Enduros; but my muscles have been seriously protesting--my mid-50s body reminding me yet again that I need strength training. So I called Kathy, asked if my hon and I could do some 2:1 sessions with her. Sure! Sessions:6 has groups, which Id really like, but we live too far away to make that work. We met with Kathy four sessions at the gym to create routines we could then pursue on our own. Awesome!! The routines are challenging, doable, fun. Its amazing how quickly Ive had positive results--including pain going away from problem areas. Well follow up late-summer with a few more sessions.Kathy Waite connected with us just where we were at and was super invested in our success. I highly recommend working with Sessions:6 folk to support you in physical adventure goals!
This is an incredible organization with a mom/pop shop feel. It goes without neglect of professionalism, science/evidence-based approach towards athletes of all levels. I am well taken care of here @ sessions: 6 endurance!
I came to Sessions:6 CrossFit shortly after tearing my MCL off my femur. The owner and head coach, Shaun, welcomed me as an injured athlete and, though he had never previously met me, spent time reviewing my MRI results, consulted with a physical therapy team next door, and designed a custom rehabilitation program to get me moving again. It was predicted I wouldnt return to MMA training for 16 weeks. With the time, effort and support of the Sessions:6 team, I won gold in a submission only tournament in 8 weeks. It would not have been possible without his coaching and support. Ive been a CrossFit athlete for nearly 8 years, but didnt master bar muscle ups or handstand push ups until I started working with Shaun. His coaching is exceptional- hes skilled at finding cues that work for even the most challenging minds. He and his coaches connect with each member individually- the community is one of a kind. I cannot recommend this gym strongly enough. Youll find way more than fitness here- close friends, goals smashed you never believed possible, and support unlike any gym Ive ever found.
I love everything about this place! The coaches are fantastic and the people are so friendly and fun! The gym truly has a family feel and is welcoming of everyone. They accommodate all needs, injuries, etc. without hesitation or shame! I have gained strength, had so much fun, and created life long friendships here! I HIGHLY recommend this gym!
Great place to workout! Friendly staff. It gets busy at times, but never gets to packed. Out of peak times its easy to get a quick workout in. Great prices as well!
This is a great place to get in shape for biking or CrossFit. The owners Cody and Kathy are very engaged and want to help you achieve your goals. The CrossFit classes are co-ed and low pressure they emphasize achieving personal goals not if you can lift more than the other guy.
I have participated in several training classes with Sessions:6 in the past two years, and each has improved my performance tremendously!! The plans are expertly designed to build strength and endurance, while minimizing the risk of overtraining and injury.I personally discovered that I could go much harder than I thought I could, increased my endurance and strength for long distance cycling, and gained added mental toughness that has eased the challenging down times of riding double and triple centuries. I would recommend Sessions:6 to anyone looking to improve their athletic performance!!
I participated in both the Strength Training for Endurance Athletes and the Pre-season Trainer Series this year, and came out feeling stronger than ever this spring. Best CrossFit gym for real people. Owned by a couple trialthletes that got hooked on CrossFit in their off season years ago, so they can really address your complete inner athlete. Great coaches, great people, lots of fun classes and variety. Free classes on Saturday!
The guys at Sessions:6 are simply the best--very knowledgeable, fit and fun. Strangely, I look forward to suffering twice a week all winter long with these guys. Keep it up, and thanks for offering such great fitness options for our community!
Ive been looking for a new home since my crossfit gym closed in November 2011. Session:6 coaches are very knowledgeable; we review the movements before every WOD; coaches emphasize range of motion versus going heavy for the sake of lifting heavy; mobility and stability are always added in the workout and were respectful of our neighbors. Its a community where all walks of life are welcome and Im glad I found them. Lastly, everyone is super friendly which is the icing on top.
Great place for a beginner that wants to learn or for an endurance athlete that wants to take it to the next level. I’ve been training at Sessions:6 for just over a year and am absolutely thrilled with the results.
I have been coached by Cody and Kathy for 8 years. They are amazing coaches and great people. They have created something unique at S:6: a crossfit and endurance-focused gym that focuses on all types of fitness and is inclusive of anyone wanting to be stronger, more fit, and have fun doing it. This includes great programs for kids and teens. I did crossfit before Cody and Kathy opened the gym and can tell you that I love S:6 because you can get fit and strong there without the aggressive and dangerous pressure that many crossfit gyms put on members to go do weights and reps above their ability. They also have indoor cycling and running programs that you cant get a the typical crossfit gym
